It was a sunny morning in the Inkwell Isles and Gwen was still asleep in bed. Suddenly, an alarm clock goes off, which startles Gwen awake. But Gwen realized something.

"Wait a minute! I'm off today! I didn't set my alarm!" Gwen said to herself.

She hits her alarm clock off and tries to find her glasses on her nightstand. But to her shock, they were not where she left them.

"What the? Where are my glasses?" Gwen asked herself.

Suddenly, her little butterfly fluttered in her face.

"Oh, good morning, buddy. Did you see my glasses anywhere?" Gwen asked.

The butterfly grabbed hold of her face and tilted her head up. Gwen could barely see something floating above her. Gwen thought for a moment and realized something else and smiled.

"Okay Chalice! Very funny! Now give me back my glasses!" Gwen called out.

The floating spot came down to her and Ms. Chalice revealed herself, wearing her glasses and laughed.

"Aw, ya got me again girlfriend!" Ms. Chalice said, acting innocent.

Gwen reached out her hand and Ms. Chalice held her hand.

"So, what brings you here this morning?" Gwen asked.

"I thought we could have a girl's day together girlfriend! You and me like old times? Don't get me wrong, I love Rose and Kizzy, but between you and me, you are my favorite human!" Ms. Chalice asked with a cute face.

Gwen giggled and said,

"Okay, okay Chalice. What do you have in mind?"

"Well, I thought we could go do some more scams together?" Ms. Chalice suggested.

"Chalice, I thought you were done scamming people. Have you forgotten the angry mob incident?" Gwen reminded her.

"I know. But I got you to help me, remember? They didn't suspect you were involved because of your inkwell." Ms. Chalice pointed out.

"That's true." Gwen said, remembering her tricks with the inkwell.

"So, whaddya say girlfriend?" Ms. Chalice asked, reaching her hand out for a handshake.

"Okay, maybe just one scam. Just don't forget about the barbeque Uncle George is hosting later tonight. He's invited you, cups, Elder Kettle and Clarence with us." Gwen said and shook hands with Ms. Chalice.

Gwen and Ms. Chalice travel through the forest and noticed the little rat Werner Werman in his soup-can tank pulling a large jar of cookies in a trailer. Ms. Chalice whispers the plan to Gwen and both high-five on it.

Gwen magically shrinks down to Werner's size while Ms. Chalice in her ghost form distracts Warner. She made a monstrous face at Warner, scaring him. Gwen magically sabotages the soup-can tank and shrinks the cookie jar down and catches it. Gwen shapeshifted into a ghost and disappeared with the cookie jar.

Werner tries to start his tank to get away, but realizes his tank was broken and the cookie jar was stolen. He threw his helmet on the ground and throws a tantrum.

Meanwhile, Gwen restores herself to her regular size and rejoins Ms. Chalice at the cottage and both share the cookies they snatched.

"That was awesome girlfriend. We did it again." Ms. Chalice said, eating a cookie.

"Yeah, I wanted to get back at that rat for using me claim a cat's house." Gwen said.

"I'm sorry that happened. But hey, you know who your real friends are." Ms. Chalice said.

"Yeah. Even Rose reminded me to choose my battles wisely." Gwen said.

"Why is Rosie so overprotective of you? Between you and me, she's sometimes a stick in the mud." Ms. Chalice said.

"Chalice, she's my older sister. She's always looked out for me since we were little. Rose is just trying to keep me out of trouble with the Devil since my pranks were going a bit too far. Besides, she's a mom now she has to care for her daughter and son while she looks out for her kindergarten students at her school. Especially with that field trip to the Boston Children's Museum coming up." Gwen explained.

"Ooh, a field trip to the museum, eh?" Ms. Chalice asked, now interested.

"Chalice don't get any ideas! You know she's warned you about sneaking into the human world." Gwen warned her.

"Relax Gweny. I was just messin' with ya. Now, shall we gather the boys and head on over to your uncle's place?" Ms. Chalice asked.

"Oh yeah! It's almost time!" Gwen exclaimed, remembering the barbeque.

Gwen and Ms. Chalice join her second family and Clarence at the cottage. Gwen tapped her ink pen and disappeared to Uncle George's house.

Later that evening in the human world, Gwen, her second family and Clarence were with her extended human family along with Rose, William and her parents. Gwen has her three cup best friends play games with her twin cousins Hailey and Kailey.

While Gwen and Clarence were socializing with the family, Hailey and Kailey take Cuphead, Mugman and Ms. Chalice and play in their backyard playground. Mugman and Kailey play marbles while Cuphead and Ms. Chalice play with Hailey on the swing set. Afterwards, they play a game of hide-and-seek and Mugman was picked to be it. He closes his eyes, leans against a tree and started to count.

"One, two, three…"

Cuphead, Ms. Chalice, Hailey and Kailey all run off to hide. Cuphead hides in the firewood storage, Hailey hides up another tree and Kailey hides in the bushes. Ms. Chalice shapeshifted into her ghost form and was about to hide somewhere out of reach until Rose cleared her throat.

"Oh, heh heh. Hey sister, what's up?" Ms. Chalice nervously asked with a smile.

"Chalice, what did I say about turning into a ghost here?!" Rose whispered.

"Oh right. 'No turning into a ghost or your family's gonna freak out.'" Ms. Chalice answered.

"That's right! Besides, that's cheating! Now turn back into your living form and play the game fairly! It wouldn't be fair to my cousins or the cups." Rose added.

"Oh, fine." Ms. Chalice said sadly.

She shapeshifts back into her living form and hides under the table where the grown-ups were sitting.

"…Eighteen, Nineteen, Twenty! Ready or not, here I come!" Mugman called.

Mugman searches the backyard for his friends and brother. He manages to find Cuphead in the firewood storage.

"Found you Cuphead!" Mugman called.

"Aw nuts!" Cuphead groaned and came out of the firewood storage.

Next, he finds Kailey in the bushes.

"There you are Kailey!" Mugman said.

Kailey giggled and said,

"Aw, you found me Mugsy."

Next, it took Mugman a while, but he finally tracks Hailey up the tree.

"I know you're up there Hailey! Now come down from there!" Mugman called.

Hailey poked her head out of the tree.

"Okay, okay. You found me." Hailey said.

Hailey climbs down the tree to the ground. The last one to be found was Ms. Chalice. Mugman searches for her around the backyard, but to no avail. Just then, he remembered one place he hadn't looked. He goes where the grownups were sitting. He looked at Gwen, gesturing her where Chalice was hiding. Gwen points under the table and winked. Mugman looked under and found Ms. Chalice.

"Found ya Chalice!" Mugman called.

"Aw, ya got me Mugsy!" Ms. Chalice said as she came out from under the table.

"You won Chalice! You were the last one I found. And I'm impressed you didn't use your ghost powers." Mugman complimented.

"Aw, I didn't need that to win this game. I was already the best hider back home before we met." Ms. Chalice bragged as she joined her friends at the playground.

"So, Chalice, did you really die and get your ghost powers?" Hailey asked.

"Yep. But I should warn you girls. Never make a deal with the Devil. I learned my lesson the hard way." Ms. Chalice pointed out.

"Can you show us Chalice?" Kailey asked, now interested.

"Okay, but I gotta do it away from the grownups. Come on, let's go in that shed." Ms. Chalice whispered.

The five kids went inside the shed and closed the door.

"Okay Chalice, show us!" Hailey said excitedly.

Ms. Chalice cracked her knuckles, then she shapeshifted into her ghost form.

"Wow!" Both girls exclaimed.

"Now pay attention girls. I can fly." Ms. Chalice said.

Ms. Chalice flies around Hailey and Kailey, making them giggle.

"I can disappear." Ms. Chalice said as she disappeared.

Both girls gasped and looked around. Then, they notice a shovel floating.

"I can pick stuff up." Ms. Chalice continued as she placed the shovel down.

"I can pass through stuff." Ms. Chalice said as she appeared from the floor.

Hailey and Kailey gasped as Ms. Chalice flew up from the floor.

"Hmm, what else? Oh yeah!" Ms. Chalice said.

She turned around and made a monstrous face at her friends as Hailey and Kailey covered their eyes in fear. They opened their eyes and saw Ms. Chalice laughing at them.

"Oh! And I can possess people. Wanna see?" Ms. Chalice asked.

"Sure!" Both girls said excitedly.

Ms. Chalice enters Kailey's body, making her shake uncontrollably until her eyes glowed blue.

"My name is Kailey. I'm a little angel who's very shy and scared of everything." Kailey said in a monotone voice and made a ballet pose.

Hailey laughs as Ms. Chalice exits Kailey's body. Kailey has a brief headache but regains control of her body.

"What just happened?" Kailey asked.

"Ms. Chalice just possessed…" Hailey was about to say until Ms. Chalice enters Hailey's body.

Hailey is shaking uncontrollably until her eyes glowed blue.

"My name is Hailey. I'm a rascal who is reckless and untidy. And I'm secretly afraid of spiders." Hailey said in a monotone voice and makes hands move like a spider.

Kailey laughs and says,

"Yep. That's Hailey alright!"

Ms. Chalice exited Hailey's body and shapeshifted back to her living form. Hailey has a brief headache but regains control of her body.

"Wow! That was cool!" Hailey said.

"Just don't tell your parents or anyone else about this. I kinda promised your cousin Rose I wouldn't do this." Ms. Chalice told the twins.

"We promise!" Hailey and Kailey promised, holding their hands up.

Just then, there was a knock at the door. The shed door opens, and Gwen enters.

"Gwen!" All five kids said at once.

"If you five are finished goofing off, Uncle George says it's time for dinner!" Gwen announced,

"Yay!" All five kids happily exclaimed.

The cup brothers and the sisters run up to the kid table while Gwen and Ms. Chalice held hands and walked together.

"You were showing off your ghostly powers to my cousins, weren't you?" Gwen asked, figuring it out.

"Yeah girlfriend, but I made them promise not to tell anyone. Especially since Rosie made me promise her." Ms. Chalice explained.

"Yeah. I know. She made me promise her not to prank the Devil or go near the casino or Hell again. I told you she can be a little overprotective, but she's just looking out for us. She loves me and you." Gwen said.

"Really?" Ms. Chalice asked.

"Yes. Think about it. If she didn't love you, would she have told you to not turn into a ghost or reveal yourself to other humans for your safety?" Gwen asked.

Ms. Chalice thought for a moment.

"I guess you're right Gwen. Thanks." Ms. Chalice said.

"Anything for you, bestie. Now, what do you say we eat Uncle George's famous cheeseburgers?" Gwen asked.

"Oh yeah! I'm down!" Ms. Chalice said excitedly.

The families all feast on cheeseburgers, coleslaw and chips together. Rose and William feed their daughter and son Emma and Jack bottles of milk. After dinner they all have Aunt Mildred's mint frosted brownies for dessert. Clarence performs some songs on his ukulele, impressing Gwen's extended family.

That night, Rose and William leave with their kids back to their house. Edgar and Margarine leave back to their house while Gwen teleported the cups, Elder Kettle and Clarence back to the cottage in the Inkwell Isles. Clarence and Ms. Chalice step through their door portal back to their apartment. Elder Kettle, Gwen and the cups all head upstairs to bed.

The next day in the human world, Rose and William feed the twins, drop them off with Margarine and both head off to work. Rose arrives at the kindergarten schoolhouse she teaches at. She enters and gets her classroom ready. Her 20 students arrive, and all take their seats at their tables.

"Good morning, everyone!" Rose greeted.

"Good morning Mrs. Smith!" All 20 kids said out loud.

"Do you all know what today is?" Rose asked.

"FIELD TRIP!" All the kids shouted excitedly.

"That's right kids! We're all heading to the Boston Children's Museum today!" Rose announced.

"So, if everyone will lineup, we'll all head outside and get on the school bus. Single file." Rose instructed.

All the kids get up, lineup at the door as Rose counted all her students. She climbs on the bus and goes over all the rules and tells them to be on their best behavior. Rose takes her seat, and the bus takes off for the museum. After a while, they arrive at the museum and has her students pick a partner to stay with during their tour.

At the entrance, the museum curator comes out.

"Welcome to the Boston Children's Museum!" The curator greeted.

All the kids cheered.

"Now, follow me kids, let's get this tour started!" The curator says.

All the kids enter the museum as Rose followed from behind, keeping an eye on the kids.

Just then, Rose noticed something odd. She noticed jazz music playing and a short kid wearing a long dress and long sleeves with blonde hair was tap-dancing. A familiar voice started singing.

"When you're blue and feeling down,

You gotta spread that sunshine all around.

You gotta turn that frown, upside down,

And sail across a rainbow!"

Her class watched and cheered for the kid as she was dancing with the kids.

"When the world is saying 'no',

Don't waste your time, feelin' low.

Click your heels, go, go, go.

And dance across a rainbow!"

"Oh no!" Rose exclaimed and facepalmed.

Immediately realizing who it was, Rose quickly grabbed the kid.

"Okay, that's enough of that balderdash. Let's go look at the dinosaurs, shall we kids? Remember to stay with your partners and don't touch anything! I'll be right with you." Rose reminded them.

All the kids go into the dinosaur exhibit and look at the giant dinosaur skeletons. Rose takes the tap-dancing kid and noticed a human-like mask and noticed her blonde hair was actually a wig.

"Chalice! What are you doing here?!" Rose quietly scolded.

"Aw come on sister! I heard through the grapevine you were taking your kiddies on a field trip. So, I thought I'd tag along. Plus, I wanna see the human world." Ms. Chalice whispered and winked under her mask.

"How many times do I have to tell you? You cannot be seen here! You need to go back to our house, go through the door portal and go home right now! And don't let anyone see you!" Rose ordered her.

Just then, the museum curator approached Rose and Ms. Chalice.

"Is everything alright Mrs. Smith?" The curator asked.

"Um, yes. I was just uh…" Rose tried to explain until the curator said,

"Oh, you have another kid with you? Well, hurry up and join the others. We haven't got all day. We got other classes coming today! Come along now!"

The curator gestures Rose and Ms. Chalice to follow them. Rose glared at Ms. Chalice as she reached out for her hand.

"You can be my partner, Rosie!" Ms. Chalice whispered with a wink.

"We'll talk about this later Chalice!" Rose quietly scolded as she held her hand and joined her students at the dinosaur exhibit.

The curator explains the history of the dinosaurs as Rose kept an eye on her students and Ms. Chalice. Just then, Rose noticed Ms. Chalice disappeared and quietly gasped. She looked around for Ms. Chalice until she noticed something odd. A Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton the curator was explaining about was moving, pretended to eat the curator and waved its little arm to the kids.

Some of the kids screamed and other kids yell excitedly.

"Quiet please!" The curator said.

Rose glared at the skeleton and gestured Ms. Chalice to stop possessing the dinosaur. The curator looked behind him to see the Tyrannosaurus Rex still standing there. Ms. Chalice rejoins Rose in her disguise.

"There's nothing to be afraid of children. Dinosaurs are no longer around." The curator said, assuming they were just scared of the T-rex.

"Stop it, Chalice!" Rose quietly scolded.

"Aw, come on sister. They loved it." Ms. Chalice whispered.

"Now then, let's move on to the next exhibit: the Gallery!" The curator announced.

Rose, Ms. Chalice and the class follow the curator to the Gallery exhibit and look at all the beautiful paintings of the local artists of Boston and then see an art table set up for the kids to make their own art.

The children all look at the paintings and then sit at the table and color with crayons. Ms. Chalice sat with the kids and decided to make her own crayon art as Rose kept an eye on her. Rose sits next to Ms. Chalice and noticed her drawing was the two cups, Gwen, Rose, Clarence and Kizzy.

"That's really good Chalice." Rose complimented.

"Thanks… Mrs. Smith." Ms. Chalice said with a wink.

"Chalice? What an odd name for a kid." The curator said.

"Oh, she's not from around here." Rose explained.

"Oh, an exchange student I see. Anyway, I see all you kids are great artists." The curator complimented.

The kids all held up their cute drawings of various things.

They continue their tour into the Performing Arts exhibit. They watch a musician perform percussion instruments, a dancer performing ballet and an actor performing a scene from the play Peter Pan.

Just then, Rose noticed Ms. Chalice disappeared again and looked around. Only to find her tap-dancing once again with the musician playing the drums. The class cheered Ms. Chalice on as the curator approached Rose while she facepalmed.

"That student of yours Chalice is a real charmer and quite a talented dancer." The curator complimented.

"Oh, um. Thank you. She's really gifted." Rose nervously answered.

"Chalice, come take your seat please." Rose called out.

Ms. Chalice tap-danced her way back to the class and sat down next to Rose. The class followed the curator to the final exhibit: Kid Power. The kids enter a gym-like area and play with basketball, climb up child-safe walls and other activities. Ms. Chalice joins the kids in playing with them. The kids enjoy playing with Ms. Chalice as Rose started to feel that maybe nothing will go wrong.

Later, it was the end of the tour and the class gathered in the lobby. Rose and the kids were preparing to leave to take the kids to the park for lunch and recess. She and Ms. Chalice count all the kids to make sure everyone was accounted for.

"Alright everyone! What do we say to the museum curator?" Rose asked the class.

"Thank you!" The kids called.

"You're welcome kids! Come and visit again! Goodbye!" The curator called out and headed back to the exhibits.

Rose has everyone get on the school bus including Ms. Chalice. Rose and Ms. Chalice sit next to each other as the bus leaves for the park. Later, they arrive at the park and the kids all sit at the picnic tables with their lunch boxes and started to eat their lunch. Rose and Ms. Chalice sit together, and Rose shares her sandwich with Ms. Chalice.

"Thanks for having me stick around Rosie. It was really fun at that museum and being in your class." Ms. Chalice said as she was eating.

"Yeah, but don't get used to it. After this, I gotta get the kids back to the school where their parents will pick them up. Then, we're going to get you back home. And please stay in the Inkwell Isles this time. I don't want you to get in trouble if someone sees you here." Rose explained.

"Alright, alright." Ms. Chalice said.

"Good. Just keep that disguise on until then, okay?" Rose asked.

"You got it sister." Ms. Chalice said and winked.

A few kids come up to Rose and Ms. Chalice.

"Mrs. Smith, can Chalice come and play with us?" One little girl asked.

Ms. Chalice gives Rose a cute look.

"Alright but stay around the playground and don't go anywhere." Rose answered.

"Yay!" The kids cheered.

They take Ms. Chalice and play on the playground. Ms. Chalice enjoys playing with the kids as Rose kept an eye on her and the class. After an hour, it was time to head back to the schoolhouse. They all get on the bus and drive back. They arrive and all get off the bus and back inside the school. It was the end of the school day and the kid's parents arrive to pick them up.

Rose and Ms. Chalice wait for William to pick them up from work.

"This was a fun day, Rose." Ms. Chalice said.

"Yeah, it really was." Rose said.

"You know Rose, I've never done anything like this before. Going to school, play with kids, being a normal kid." Ms. Chalice confessed.

"Really?" Rose asked.

"Yeah, I'm an orphan. I escaped the orphanage, been on the streets my whole life until I died, made a deal with the Devil, then I met the ding-dongs and your sister. That's when everything changed." Ms. Chalice said.

"Oh my. You know Chalice, Gwen's boyfriend Clarence is also an orphan. He had no family, was on the streets for a couple of years until he met Gwen and his life changed too." Rose told her.

"Yeah, I love him like a big brother. We're roomies now. We orphans gotta stick together." Ms. Chalice said.

Rose smiled at Ms. Chalice until they notice William pulling up to them in his car. They both get in and William drives off. Ms. Chalice removes her disguise in the backseat.

"What the? Ms. Chalice? What are you doing here?" William asked.

"Oh, I caught her with my class at the museum. So, I had her stick with me until the end of the day." Rose explained.

"Chalice, what were you thinking coming here? You could've been caught!" William scolded.

"I know Will, I just wanted to see some of your world. I was incognito and nobody noticed. Her class really loved me." Ms. Chalice bragged.

"Chalice, we're gonna pick up the kids from mama. Then, you're gonna go through the door portal there and go home. Are we clear?" Rose asked.

"Okay, okay Rosie." Ms. Chalice answered.

They drive up to the Emmons residence, get out of the car and Ms. Chalice shapeshifted into her ghost form and flies off to the door portal and heads back to the Inkwell Isles.

Rose and William pick up Emma and Jack and drive back to their house. Ms. Chalice heads back to Clarence's apartment and goes to her room. She pulls out her crayon drawing of her loved ones and grabs a pin and hangs it on her bedroom wall.

Then she hears a knock at the door.

"Come in." Ms. Chalice called.

Clarence opens the door and enters.

"There you are Chalice. Where have you been?" Clarence asked.

"Oh, I was out with Rose today." Ms. Chalice answered.

"Oh, you snuck into the human world again, didn't you?" Clarence asked, figuring it out.

"Yep, but don't worry. I was incognito. Nobody caught me, I was wearing a disguise." Ms. Chalice said.

"Well, you know how Rose feels about you sneaking into the human world." Clarence said.

"I know, but I just like to explore the world beyond ours. It's bigger, lots of humans, delicious food and neat stuff. I never knew what it was like to be part of a school class like Rosie's. I had fun with those little kids." Ms. Chalice said.

"I know how it is. I grew up in an orphanage too, no family, was out on the streets. But that's all in the past now." Clarence assured her.

"Aw, thanks handsome. We orphans gotta stick together." Ms. Chalice said and hugged Clarence.

Clarence leaves her room and Ms. Chalice looks at the drawing on the wall and smiled. She yawned and went to bed, happy to have another wonderful experience in the human world.
