It has been a while since Gwen helped discover Clarence's past and helped his half-sister Cordelia move into her apartment next to her brother. Gwen also helped bring justice to their abusive father and Cordelia's abusive mother and are now spending the rest of their lives in prison.

One day, on the request of Cordelia, both Gwen and Clarence travel with her to New York City to help collect the rest of her belongings when they hear a knock at the door.

Gwen answers and finds an older man in a nice outfit with a briefcase.

"Good afternoon, ma'am. Is perchance Cordelia Hopewell and her half-brother Clarence Hopewell here?" The man asked.

"Uh, who are you?" Gwen was unsure if she should let him in.

"Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Archibald Kingsley. The Hopewell family attorney." Archibald introduced himself.

"You're the family attorney?" Gwen asked.

"Who is it, Gwen?" Cordelia asked.

"Someone claiming to be your family attorney named Kingsley or something?" Gwen answered.

Cordelia took Clarence's hand and ran up to the door.

"Hello Archie!" Cordelia greeted.

"Good afternoon, Miss Hopewell." Archibald greeted.

"Oh! I'd like to introduce you to my half-brother: Clarence James Hopewell!" Cordelia excitedly announced as Clarence waved nervously.

"Ah, so this is the young lad who Harry had an illegitimate child with one of his workers?" Archibald asked.

"Uh…" Clarence said awkwardly.

"Now, now Archie. It's not his fault. He was just the result of our father's actions." Cordelia assured her attorney.

"I know. Now, I've come here to present you two the will of your father." Archibald said.

"Oh, come on in Archie!" Cordelia said as she opened the door.

Cordelia has Archibald sit down at the table and she along with Clarence and Gwen have a seat to hear the will.

"Alright then. Since your parents are now spending the rest of their lives in Sing Sing Correctional Facility, their inheritance will now be passed on to you. Their vast fortune, their stocks and bonds, their treasures, their jewels and the mansion." Archibald explained.

"Wait, how much is the fortune?" Cordelia asked.

Archibald cleared his throat."

"Two billion dollars." Archibald answered quietly.

Both sibling's jaws dropped.

"Wow, quite a vast fortune." Clarence admitted.

"So, how would you both like to inherit?" Archibald asked.

"Well, I would like for us to split 50/50 on the fortune. One billion for him and one for me." Cordelia answered.

"What? You mean it sis?" Clarence asked.

"Of course, I do bro. You deserve this as much as I do because our father caused us so much pain and suffering." Cordelia explained.

Clarence felt touched and hugged his sister.

"Thank you, sis." Clarence thanked.

"What else are sisters for?" Cordelia asked.

Gwen smiled at them with a tear in her eye, feeling happy for them.

Later, Clarence and Cordelia sold off the mansion, the stocks and bonds and treasures, but both agreed to save the family jewels. They both inherited one billion dollars for each of them. They take the money have Gwen hide it in an undisclosed bank account in the Inkwell Isles.

"Alright, both your money inheritance is well hidden in a secret account nobody but you both can access. Papa helped out with that so you both are secure." Gwen explained.

"Thanks love. We're gonna pretend we're still normal working citizens of Inkwell City so nobody will come after the money." Clarence said.

"Yep, I'll still continue to work as a nurse, and he'll continue being a star." Cordelia said.

"That's wonderful you two. Papa showed me a thing or two about finances before since he works at the Boston Bank. And he was happy to help." Gwen bragged a little.

"Sounds like Edgar knew what he was doing." Clarence said.

"Yep. Well, I'm gonna head to work. Akilah's gonna need my help. I'll talk to you guys later." Gwen said.

"Gwen, we're going out tonight. We'll meet you at the art studio." Clarence said.

"Okay, would it be alright if I brought Akilah along since she has nobody to hang with?" Gwen asked.

"Of course, Gwen. We wouldn't think to leave anybody out." Cordelia said.

Gwen leaves for the art studio and joined Akilah to start work.

That evening, they close the studio and Gwen calls Akilah to her office.

"Yes boss?" Akilah asked.

"You've been doing such a great job with your clothes and keeping the studio. How would you like to join me, my boyfriend and his sister out for dinner tonight?" Gwen asked.

"I'd love to ma'am. I need to get out of the apartment." Akilah said.

Later, Gwen and Akilah meet up with Clarence and Cordelia at the cottage.

"Akilah, this is my boyfriend Clarence Hopewell and his sister Cordelia Hopewell." Gwen introduced Akilah.

"Salam." Akilah greeted and shook their hands.

"Guys this is Akilah Jassim, my assistant." Gwen introduced.

"Pleasure Akilah." Clarence said.

"Salutations!" Cordelia said happily.

"Now that we're all introduced, let's get going." Gwen said.

"Ma'am, where are we going?" Akilah asked.

"I know just the place in mind." Gwen answered.

The four humans walk down the dirt road and arrive at the riverboat the Fly Trap. They wait in line behind the fancy anthropomorphic insects to get on the boat. The owners and Clarence's bosses Ribby and Croaks were once again greeting their customers.

"Come right in folks! We're casting off in a few minutes! We're having a ballroom dancing contest tonight!" Ribby announced.

"Yeah! The grand prize is 100 dollars! Plus, your meal will be on the house, and you get a picture on our wall of fame!" Croaks added.

"Oh wow, that sounds like fun." Gwen said.

"Yeah, we could win that contest with our hands tied." Clarence said.

"You both dance?" Akilah asked.

"Yeah, we do." Gwen answered.

"I wanna participate too. I'll just find a partner to dance with inside." Cordelia said.

"You'll find someone." Akilah assured her.

"Aw thanks dearie." Cordelia said.

The humans approach Ribby and Croaks.

"Hey, hey kid! You're lookin' fancy tonight!" Ribby greeted Gwen.

"Hey there kid!" Croaks also greeted.

"Hey, Ribby. Hey, Croaks." Gwen greeted.

Both frogs wrap their arms around her and give her a noogie on her head. Gwen tried to not show pain as Clarence, Cordelia and Akilah look at her confused.

"There's our big star, and two brand-new faces!" Ribby said, noticing Cordelia and Akilah.

The frogs release Gwen from their grasp as she fixed her hair.

"Guys, these two girls are new residents to the Inkwell Isles. This is Akilah Jassim, new from Damascus, Syria and now works as my assistant at the art studio and her fashion just recently." Gwen introduced Akilah.

"Salam, alsayid aldafdae." Akilah greeted in Arabic.

Both frogs looked puzzled, not having a clue what she said.

"Uh, English." Gwen whispered.

"Oh. I mean, greetings Mr. Frogs." Akilah translated.

"Kid, just call us Ribby and Croaks." Ribby corrected her.

"Yeah. We own this fine establishment." Croaks added.

"We did it in honor of our dear Ma." Ribby said as he and Croaks bowed their heads, honoring their late mother.

"Oh my. As-salamu alaykum." Akilah said in Arabic, showing sympathy.

"In English please?" Croaks asked.

"It means 'peace be upon you.' Both of you." Akilah explained.

"Aw, thanks kid." Ribby thanked.

"Yeah." Croaks agreed.

"And who's this gal? She's looks related to you kid." Ribby asked Clarence, noticing Cordelia.

"Actually Ribby, we are related. This is Cordelia Hopewell. She's my paternal half-sister." Clarence introduced.

Cordelia waved to Ribby and Croaks.

"Hello, nice to meet you both. My brother told me he sings for you two." Cordelia greeted.

"That's right kid! He's helping keep our club afloat with paying customers!" Ribby bragged.

"Aw that's great." Cordelia said.

"So, kid, you and your friends celebrating tonight?" Ribby asked Gwen.

"Yes Ribby, we are celebrating tonight. So, we'd like a table for four please." Gwen answered.

"Great! You came at the perfect time! We're having a ballroom dance contest. You and our star should enter." Ribby said.

"Yeah, we'd love to." Clarence agreed.

"Me too!" Cordelia added.

"Great! Now, first things first, pay up! 80 dollars total!" Croaks said, holding out his hand.

Clarence reached into his wallet and paid Croaks 80 dollars.

"Great! Come on right in! We have the perfect table for you four!" Ribby said as he allowed the group to enter the boat.

They are seated at a table for four in the main hall. The humans look over the menus as the boat started to cast off and sail along the water.

After a while of socializing and eating their dinner, Ribby and Croaks get on the stage and make an announcement.

"Good evening, folks! You're all in for a real treat tonight! Cause tonight, we're having our first annual ballroom dancing contest. We'll be the judges tonight and the grand prize is $100, free meal and your picture on our Wall of Fame!" Ribby announced.

Everybody applauded, including the humans.

"Alright folks, if you all wanna grab your partners and come on up to the dance floor and we'll get started!" Croaks announced.

Gwen and Clarence got up and joined several insect couples. Cordelia tries to look for a single male partner to dance with, but she has no luck. Cordelia sits back with Akilah disappointed.

"Don't worry, Cordelia. You will find someone." Akilah assured her.

"Thanks sugar." Cordelia thanked her.

Just then, a handsome-looking cartoon human approached Cordelia.

"Hello…" He greeted.

Cordelia looked up at him and was struck by his handsomeness.

"Oh hello." Cordelia greeted.

Akilah looked at the stranger, feeling like there was something familiar.

"I heard you were looking for a dance partner. You wanna dance with me?" The stranger asked.

Cordelia smiled and said,

"Of course."

"Follow me." The stranger said.

Cordelia goes with the stranger as Akilah grew suspicious.

"So, you're new here, aren't you?" The stranger asked.

"Uh, yes. For a while now." Cordelia answered.

"Ah, so where are you from?" The stranger asked.

"New York City, New York in the human world." Cordelia answered.

"Ah, interesting." The stranger complimented.

Cordelia and the stranger join Gwen and Clarence on the dance floor and prepared to dance.

"Alright folks, let get this dancing started!" Ribby announced.

The jazz band started playing swing music and the couples started dancing. Gwen and Clarence dance together while Cordelia dances with the stranger.

So far, Ribby and Croaks eliminate most of the insect couples which narrows it down to Gwen and Clarence, Cordelia and the stranger. Both couples danced until the music stops and everyone applauds the two couples.

"Well folks, it looks like we got a tie! With these four humans!" Ribby announced.

Everybody cheered as Gwen and Clarence kiss. The stranger felt disappointed but to his shock, Cordelia gives him a kiss on the cheek.

"Aw, we tied with my brother and future sister-in law handsome! You are an amazing dancer!" Cordelia complimented as she hugged him. The stranger's eyes popped.

"What? He's your brother?" The stranger asked.

"Technically half, we have the same disowned father but two different mothers. I disowned my mother too." Cordelia explained.

"I see…" The stranger said.

Just then the stranger released Cordelia and walked up to the two frogs.

"Excuse me! I thought there was supposed to be one winner!" The stranger protested.

"Sorry sir. But you four both got equal votes. Therefore, it's a tie!" Croaks argued back.

"That's right." Akilah said, coming up to the stranger with her arms folded.

"Uh, who are you? And what business do you have here?" The stranger asked, losing patience.

"I should ask you the same questions. I never seen you around here before." Akilah answered suspiciously.

"What does it matter to you? I just came for the contest." The stranger answered.

"Oh really? Are you sure it doesn't involve… my boss?" Akilah asked, trying to prove something.

Everyone gasped, Gwen's eyes widened realizing Akilah maybe on to something.

"Uh, whatever do you mean?" The stranger asked, now getting nervous.

"Well, just after my friends and I came in, I couldn't help but notice you were in the corner eyeing my boss with a somewhat evil look on your face and rubbing your hands like you were planning something. Then, when her boyfriend took her to the dance floor, you had a jealous look on your face like you hated him. After the contest, I came to realize you are using my new friend here to get close to him to possibly… get rid of him?" Akilah monologued her theory.

"No, I was trying to get close to my beautiful flower so I could kidnap her!" The stranger shouted his confession.

The stranger's eyes widened, gasped in horror, realizing too late he what he blurted out.

Everybody gasped as Gwen grabbed her ink pen and prepared to fight.

Akilah clapped slowly and gave a smug look on her face.

"I knew my suspicions were correct… Iblis." Akilah bragged and revealed the Devil.

Gwen fired her electric attack at the stranger, blasting him until he finally shapeshifted into his real form: The Devil. Everyone gasped in horror at the Devil.

"THE DEVIL!" One patron yelled as everyone started screaming.

Gwen stopped firing her attack as Cordelia looked in horror, realizing she was dancing with the Devil himself. Cordelia runs up to Clarence and Gwen.

"Guys? Who is that? And why is he after you Gwen? And why did he dance with me?" Cordelia asked nervously.

"I'll fill you in sis." Clarence said.

While Gwen and Clarence explain the situation with the Devil trying to kidnap Gwen to marry her to Cordelia, Akilah punches the Devil in the nose, knocking him over.

"Stay down you foul, lying demon! You will not come near my boss again!" Akilah bravely yelled.

"You dumb mortal! You can't defeat me!" The Devil growled as he stood back up, angrier than ever at Akilah.

"I'm still gonna take my fiancée and marry her. Pity, you won't be around to see it!" The Devil angrily said as he pointed his pitchfork at Akilah. He forms his death cloud and prepares to unleash it on to Akilah, preparing to turn her to bones and ashes.

"NO!" Clarence yelled.

But to Clarence's shock, Cordelia sneaks up on the Devil and jumps on his back and grabbed his horns, thus stopping him from killing Akilah.

"LEAVE HER ALONE!" Cordelia yelled as the Devil struggled to grab her.

Gwen gets Akilah to safety as Clarence watched amusingly at his sister beat up the Devil. Cordelia notices one of the musician's violin. She manages to snatch it and started hitting the Devil on the head with it until he fell to his knees. Cordelia gets off of him and punches him in the nose.

"YEOUCH!" The Devil cried in pain.

"Oh, I'm so sorry..." Cordelia said seemingly innocent.

"I meant to do THIS!" She finished angrily.

Cordelia finishes him off by kicking his butt across the dance floor. The Devil groaned in defeat as Gwen, Akilah and Clarence approach Cordelia and everyone applauded. Akilah gives Cordelia a hug.

"Thank you… Sadiq. I mean, friend." Akilah thanked Cordelia in Arabic then English.

"Nah, I should be thanking you sugar. You revealed that beast I almost fell in love with." Cordelia thanked back.

Gwen and Clarence come up to both girls and hugs them both.

"Thank you both for saving me and Clarence." Gwen thanked.

"Yeah, he would've turned me to dust too." Clarence added.

"Aww…" Everyone said at the humans hugging each other.

Ribby and Croaks had tears in their eyes as they approach them.

"It's so beautiful you two girls saved our human star and our human helper." Ribby said, wiping a tear.

"Yeah. You both are tough." Croaks complimented.

The four humans smile at the frogs until they hear the Devil groaning.

"What are we gonna do with him?" Akilah asked.

"First we need to take your picture!" Croaks said as a firefly waiter approached with a camera. Cordelia grabbed the Devil's neck and posed like a hunter with his kill.

CLICK!

The picture was taken, then Ribby and Croaks present the prize money to the humans and split it among the four of them.

"Don't worry kid, we'll take care of him." Croaks said as he and Ribby take the Devil from Cordelia.

"You know what I just realized?" Cordelia asked.

"What?" Both frogs asked.

"I, I, I, I… KISSED THE DEVIL!" Cordelia shouted in horror.

Cordelia spitted, feeling disgusted as she wiped her lips.

"I know how you feel." Gwen said.

"What do you mean by that?" Clarence asked.

"Nothing." Gwen quickly answered.

Ribby and Croaks take the Devil to the deck and prepared to finish him off.

"Consider yourself banned for life!" Ribby said.

"And don't ever let us catch you around here again!" Ribby added.

Both frogs punch the Devil as hard as they could and send him flying off into the distance.

"Did you see how far I punched that dirty punk?" Ribby asked Croaks.

"You sayin' you're better than me?" Croaks angrily asked.

"So, what if I am?" Ribby said.

Ribby and Croaks started punching each other.

"Ahem!" Gwen cleared her throat, getting their attention.

They both stop fighting and look at the four humans, watching them in confusion.

"Uh, thanks for the fun evening, guys. I know the Devil was at it again, but this was still fun." Gwen thanked.

Both frogs smiled, grab Gwen and both give her another noogie on her head. Akilah and Cordelia giggled. Clarence placed his hand on Cordelia's shoulder.

"Thanks for everything sis. I owe you one." Clarence thanked.

"What else are sisters for?" Cordelia answered.

"You too Akilah. You were right to trust your suspicious. Otherwise, the Devil would've succeeded." Clarence thanked Akilah.

"Eala alrahb walsaea." Akilah answered in Arabic. Clarence looked confused, not having a clue what she said.

"In English sugar." Cordelia whispered.

"It means you're welcome." Akilah translated.

Clarence smiled as Gwen finally freed herself from Ribby and Croaks.

"So, guys, you ready to call it a night?" Gwen asked the group while she fixed her hair.

"Yeah, I think we've had enough fun for one night." Clarence agreed.

The boat returns to shore and everybody started to leave. Before the humans could leave, Ribby and Croaks both grab Gwen's upper shoulders and carry her back into the Fly Trap.

"What is it now guys?" Gwen asked, knowing they want her services with the magic inkwell again.

"Before you go kid, we need you to clean up this mess first your new friend made. And restore that violin our violinist complained about it being damaged" Ribby ordered her.

Gwen sighed, but she got out her ink pen and magically restored the dining area and dance floor back to the way it was.

"Okay done." Gwen said.

"Okay, now you can go." Croaks said.

"Thank you." Gwen said and quickly leaves the boat to rejoin her friends and leave together.

Meanwhile, the Devil emerged from the water, spitting out a fish and groaned in pain.

"I hate those humans." The Devil said weakly.

The Devil grabbed his pitchfork from the water and tapped in and disappeared back to Hell to once again receive treatment in his personal ER.

The four humans arrive back to the art studio to drop off Akilah.

"Well, see you at work first thing tomorrow!" Gwen said.

"You too boss. Tab masawuk!" Akilah answered as she entered the art studio and up to her apartment.

"Good night." Gwen translated.

"I figured." Cordelia said.

The three humans walk back to the cottage to the door portal.

"Thanks for the fun evening, Gwen." Cordelia thanked Gwen as she gave her a hug.

"And thank you for saving me." Gwen thanked back.

Gwen and Clarence kiss each other then they hug each other.

"Good night, my love." Clarence said.

"You too… my hope." Gwen said back calling him her hope after what Quadratus told her.

Clarence's eyes popped, then he smiled, figuring what she means.

Both Hopewell siblings leave through the door portal, back to their apartments. Gwen enters the cottage and rejoins her family for radio time. After listening to their favorite radio show, they all head upstairs to bed.

Gwen gets ready for bed as her magic carpet Cerulean Bolt flew around her and landed on her bed. She gives her living flower and birds-of-paradise water, feeds her butterfly sugar water and sits on her bed until she heard a knock at her door.

"Come in." Gwen called.

Cuphead and Mugman enter Gwen's room and hop up on her bed.

"What did you, Akilah, Clarence and Cordelia do this evening?" Cuphead asked.

"Yeah, tell us all about it." Mugman added.

"Well, Clarence and I entered the ballroom dance contest. So did Cordelia, but she danced with a guy that was really the Devil in disguise. But Akilah exposed him, and Cordelia managed to defeat him and save me and Clarence. We all got our picture taken, given the prize money and split it and watched as Ribby and Croaks kick out the Devil our of their boat. Man, his face was priceless!" Gwen told her story as she laughed.

Both cups laughed too.

"Boy did the Devil mess with the wrong humans!" Cuphead said as he laughed.

"Yeah! He didn't know what hit him!" Mugman added as he laughed too.

Gwen grabbed both cups in her arms, laid down in bed with them as Cerulean Bolt quickly flew under them and floated them up above the bed.

"I hate those humans! I hate those cups! And I'm the biggest all-time loser in the two worlds!" Gwen imitated the Devil's voice mockingly.

They all laughed as the cups hold Gwen's arms and hug each other.

"Aw, it's so nice to see you three bonding together." Elder Kettle said as he entered Gwen's room.

"Yes, Elder Kettle." All three said at once as they sat up as Cerulean Bolt lowered the trio back on the bed.

"Alrighty you three, it's time for bed. Gwen has work in the morning." Elder Kettle said to the cups.

"Good night, Gwen!" Both cups said to Gwen.

"Good night Cuphead, Mugman!" Gwen said back.

Both cups leave her room back to their room.

"Good night, Gwen." Elder Kettle said.

"Good night Elder Kettle." Gwen said back.

Elder Kettle leaves and closes her bedroom door. Gwen slips on her invisible sweater and has her security Jack-in-the-box guarding her just in case and goes to sleep. Cerulean Bolt laid at the end of her bed and goes to sleep.

In the middle of the night, the Devil in his bandages appeared in her room. He attempts to grab her until Jack-in-the-box popped out of his box, popping firecrackers and confetti and yelled.

"SURPRISE DEVIL!"

The Devil gasped in shock, then accidentally touched Gwen's sweater and once again gets electrocuted. Gwen snickered in her sleep, knowing the Devil would show up once again, only to be once again ready for him.

The Devil groaned in pain and facepalmed.

"I forgot about you. You little loud annoying pesky clown toy!" The Devil said frustratingly.

Cerulean Bolt gets up and slapped the Devil in his face with his tassel-hand.

"And you too you annoying flying rag!" The Devil insulted Cerulean Bolt.

Jack-in-the-box laughed goofily at the Devil as he pointed his flaming pitchfork at them. Before the Devil could blast Jack-in-the-box and Cerulean Bolt, Gwen fires her laser beam attack, saving both of them.

The Devil groaned then disappeared back to Hell back to his personal ER.

"Thanks buddies." Gwen thanked.

"No problem! That was a blast!" Jack-in-the-box joked and laughed.

Cerulean Bolt make a laughing gesture.

"Okay, enough with the jokes. Good night you two." Gwen said as she prepared to go back to bed.

"Good night. Don't let the Devil bite!" Jack-in-the-box joked and laughed.

Gwen sighed, then went right to sleep as Jack-in-the-box went back into his box and Cerulean Bolt went back to sleep.

Back in Hell, the Devil is back in his ER in a hospital bed wrapped in bandages. He feared his therapist would be back for another session, so he decides to sneak off.

"Duh, boss? What do you think you're doing?" A familiar voice asked.

The Devil realized too late he got caught by Henchman and the imp therapist.

"Oh, uh. I was just uh, headed to the men's room!" The Devil lied.

"Boss, boss, boss. Ya gotta stop trying to get out of your therapy sessions! You need those!" Henchman scolded.

"He is right sir. Now then, let's get you back into bed and we'll start our session." The therapist suggested.

The Devil groaned in agony as Henchman helped him back into back and restraining him this time.

"Now, let's talk about your possible outlets for your aggression." The therapist said.

The Devil whined as he struggled to get out of his restraints.

The next day, after another day of work Gwen and Akilah close up the studio and Gwen heads home. Akilah goes upstairs to her apartment and rests up in her recliner sipping some zouhourat tea, eats a few barazek cookies and snuggles with her pet parakeet Alyaqut.

Just then, Akilah heard a knocking at her door. She looked through the peep hole and saw Cordelia outside with a small kennel in her hand. Akilah opens it and is greeted by Cordelia.

"Hey sugar!" Cordelia said and gave Akilah a hug.

"Salam Cordelia. How good of you to come." Akilah greeted.

"Alright, ready to hang out with our pets? I brought over my little bunny baby Comet!" Cordelia asked excitedly.

Akilah brings Cordelia into her apartment; Cordelia opens the kennel and out came a little orange short-haired bunny Comet.
"Aw, your arnab is so cute!" Akilah complimented.

"If that means bunny, then thank you!" Cordelia thanked.

"It does mean 'rabbit.'" Akilah confirmed.

Both girls socialized while Comet hopped around the apartment and Alyaqut flew down to Comet and stared singing to her.

Meanwhile, Gwen and the cups went out to have some fun by going to the Inkwell Aquarium. They both enjoy looking at the exotic fish and have lunch together. Gwen continued to spend time with her best friends as well as her new friends she brought to the Inkwell Isles. During the time, Akilah and Cordelia became best friends and enjoy their new found friendship as well as living their new lives.
