It was a nice sunny morning in the Inkwell Isles and Gwen once again gets ready to go to work with her assistant Akilah. They finish up the day together and clean up the studio.

"How's the wedding planning coming?" Gwen asked.

"It's been great boss. I designed my own wedding dress and I'm in the middle of putting it together. Elijah got us an appointment by the Honorable Judge Wise to wed us and give us our marriage certificate." Akilah answered.

"That's wonderful. You two deserve your happily ever after." Gwen complimented.

"Shkran lak. You and Clarence deserve yours too. And to be free of Iblis forever." Akilah thanked.

Gwen smiled as both women finished up cleaning.

"Well, I'm going to meet Elijah at the music shop the and we're going to go taste the dinner samples for our wedding reception." Akilah said as she grabbed her purse.

"Alright, I'll see you later." Gwen said.

"You too. Bye!" Akilah called as she leaves the art studio.

Gwen smiled, feeling happy for Akilah and Elijah for their upcoming wedding. Gwen leaves the art studio and heads back to the cottage. Gwen rests on the couch, tired from another day at work.

Just then. Cuphead, Mugman and Ms. Chalice come running into the living room, to Gwen's annoyance.

"Tag! You're it!" Cuphead called as he tapped Mugman.

Mugman chases Cuphead and Ms. Chalice around the living room, making Gwen irritated.

"Tag! You're it!" Mugman called as he tapped Cuphead.

As Cuphead chased Mugman and Ms. Chalice around the living room, Gwen goes upstairs to her room to rest while the cups played.

"Ugh, I can't get a moment's peace with those three running ragged." Gwen complained.

Gwen decided to take a nap to rest up. An hour later, Gwen wakes up, feeling better and relaxed. She decided to read a magazine and pulls up a National Geographic magazine and is awestruck by the cover with wildlife from the country Australia in the human world.

"Wow, The land down under. Amazing wildlife they have there." Gwen said as she looked at the pictures of koalas, dingoes, kangaroos, wombats, echidnas etc.

"I've love to see those animals in person and the rainforest." Gwen said to herself.

Gwen thought for a moment, then she looked outside her bedroom and heard the cups still playing tag. But she knew the moment she tried to teleport to another country in the human world, they always stowed away with her. Gwen gets dressed in her adventure outfit and packed her satchel. Gwen sat on her bed, watched her door and lifted her ink pen.

"I know you three are right there. There's no point waiting for me to do it." Gwen said.

Nothing happens and no one answers. Gwen sighed, knowing their game.

"Alright. Three…two…one." Gwen counted down and tapped her ink pen.

"SURPRISE!" All three cups exclaimed as they jump on her bed.

They appear in the city of Sydney in the country Australia.

"I know your game guys. You don't have to hide it from me." Gwen said.

"We know girlfriend. We just like to make it fun sneaking up on you." Ms. Chalice said.

"Okay Gweny, where are we this time?" Cuphead asked.

"This time Cuphead, we're in a country called Australia. Also known as 'The Land Down Under.'" Gwen answered.

"The 'Land Down Under'?" Mugman asked.

"Yes. It's called that because Australia is below the other continents not counting Antarctica which is literally at the bottom of the Earth." Gwen explained.

"Cool! Let's go exploring!" Ms. Chalice said excitedly.

"Alright then, I have just the places in mind." Gwen said.

"YAY!" All three cups cheered.

The group travel around Sydney and visit the famous landmarks such as the Sydney Opera House, the Queen Victoria Building, and the Royal Botanic Garden.

Next, they travel to the Taronga Zoo and see all the exotic wildlife of Australia like kangaroos, wallabies, koalas, dingoes, and platypuses. Afterwards, they fly on her magic carpet Cerulean Bolt and fly in the sky to explore the Outback of Australia.

Later, Gwen and the cups hang out at the Bondi Beach. They all play in the water and build sandcastles while Cerulean Bolt relaxed on the sand.

"That was awesome! That funny looking opera house, the zoo and the desert they call the Outback!" Cuphead said.

"Yeah! The animals in this place are different than in America." Mugman said.

"Seeing the world is more fun when we all do it together." Ms. Chalice said.

"Yeah, it is. I was thinking for our honeymoon Clarence, and I will travel the world and fly to many countries we always wanted to see." Gwen said.

"There's an idea." Mugman agreed.

"It was his dream to see the world like it's one of my dreams too." Gwen said.

"Well, now you can since you have the power to go anywhere." Ms. Chalice said.

"Yeah, and I've got the best magic carpet in the world too." Gwen said as she patted Cerulean Bolt.

Cerulean Bolt floated up and circled Gwen, giving her praise for her appreciation for flying her everywhere.

"Alright, alright buddy." Gwen said.

"So, what do you guys wanna do now?" Cuphead asked.

"Well, there's one more place I'd like to see." Gwen said.

"What's that?" Ms. Chalice asked.

Gwen held up a picture of the Australian map and she pointed to an island below the mainland called Tasmania.

"Tasmania?" All three cups asked.

"What's there?" Ms. Chalice asked.

"Rainforests and some more wildlife we didn't see at the zoo." Gwen answered.

"Okay, let's go." Mugman said.

Gwen teleports themselves to the city of Hobart, they fly off west to the Tasmanian Rainforest. They land at the famous Horseshoe Falls at the Mt. Field National Park. The group are awestruck the beauty of the rainforest and the waterfall.

"It's even better than the magazine pictures." Gwen said looking around.

"Yeah. It's nice seeing natural beauty." Ms. Chalice said.

Just then, a little marsupial animal came out of the bushes. It was black with a white mark across its chest. Mugman approaches it to pet it.

"Aw what a cute little…" Mugman said in a cute-like way when suddenly…

The little animal started yowling and spinning around, scaring Mugman away and hid behind Gwen along with Cuphead and Mugman.

"W-what is that thing?" Cuphead asked.

"That's called a Tasmanian Devil." Gwen answered.

"Tasmanian Devil? He doesn't look like the Devil, but he acts and sounds like it." Ms. Chalice said.

"Not really. He's a marsupial mammal like kangaroos, wallabies and koalas. He won't hurt us. He was just scaring us away." Gwen explained.

"Oh, the females carry the babies in their pouch?" Mugman asked.

"Yep." Gwen answered.

The Tasmanian Devil ran off back into the rainforest.

"Someone should do a cartoon character on the Tasmanian Devil. That'd be funny." Gwen said.

"Alright, I'm starvin' can we go grab something to eat?" Cuphead asked.

"Me too." Mugman agreed.

"Alright, let's head back to Hobart." Gwen said.

She teleports themselves back to Hobart and stop at a local seafood restaurant and order food. After their meal, something gets their attention. They notice loggers chopping down trees in the rainforest.

"Why are those humans cutting down trees?" Cuphead asked.

"I think either to make more land or for making paper." Gwen guessed.

Gwen and the cups get a closer look. Then they noticed the natives called the Aboriginals trying to attack the loggers until they scare them off with their guns.

"Who were they?" Mugman asked.

"The Aboriginals. The natives of Australia." Gwen answered.

"Oh. They didn't look really happy." Ms. Chalice said.

"They're enraged. Those loggers are destroying their homes and I feel bad." Gwen answered sadly.

"Ooh." All three cups said sadly.

Just when Gwen decided to call it a day, they are suddenly attacked by a black Tasmanian feral pig.

"AHH!" The cups screamed and ran for their lives.

Gwen jumped between the cups and the feral pig. Before the feral pig could bite her leg, she quickly grabbed its tusks, stopping him.

"Go away! Leave my friends alone!" Gwen yelled.

But the feral pig used his body weight to shove Gwen against a tree, hitting her head thus injuring her. Before the feral pig could finish her off, she weakly grabbed her ink pen and fired her cyan-blue beam attack at the feral pig, scaring him away to the rainforest.

Gwen started losing consciousness as more feral pigs start charging towards her. Feeling like she was finished, Gwen noticed a spear thrown out of nowhere, attacking the feral pigs. Out of the trees, a young teenage Aboriginal woman attacked the feral pigs, scaring them away. Gwen struggled to stay awake as the Aboriginal teen approached her, pointed her spear at Gwen's neck, thinking she was their enemy. Gwen held up her ink pen and prepared to fire her beam attack again, but she was too weak. The Aboriginal teen was shocked at the glowing ink pen and the magic inkwell on Gwen's belt.

The Aboriginal teen took the ink pen, and it stopped glowing. She is baffled with the magic she just witnessed as Gwen finally lost consciousness. Thinking for a moment, the Aboriginal teen lifts Gwen on her shoulder and carries her off into the rainforest.

Meanwhile, the cups were hiding near a building and come out of hiding.

"I think we lost that wild pig." Cuphead said.

"Yeah, no kidding." Ms. Chalice said.

"Wait! Where's Gwen?!" Mugman exclaimed.

"She must still be out there! Come on!" Cuphead said fearfully.

The three cups and Cerulean Bolt head back towards the rainforest where the feral pig attacked. They noticed new footprints from the Aboriginal teen in the dirt.

"Someone was right there and must've kidnapped Gwen!" Ms. Chalice said.

"What are we gonna do?!" Cuphead said.

"Wait! Hey buddy, can you get her scent?" Mugman asked Cerulean Bolt.

Cerulean Bolt nodded and started sniffing until he pointed in a direction.

"Alright, sic her boy!" Cuphead said as he and the other cups hop on to find Gwen in the rainforest.

After a while of unconsciousness, Gwen slowly opened her eyes and finds herself in a dome-like hut and finds herself laying on a blanket. She noticed the same Aboriginal teen making something in a bowl over a fire. Gwen was unsure if she should trust her. Gwen also noticed her inkwell and ink pen were gone.

The Aboriginal teen raised her head up, making Gwen go back to sleep. Gwen slowly opened one eye, only to realize the Aboriginal teen was right in front of her.

Gwen gasped until she felt her head hurt and groaned in pain. The Aboriginal teen held up the bowl and gestured Gwen to drink it.

"Uh, no thanks. I'm not thirsty…"

Gwen tried to decline until the Aboriginal teen forced the drink down Gwen's throat, making her cough due to the bitter unfamiliar taste. Gwen caught her breath as the Aboriginal teen took the bowl away.

"Who are you?" Gwen asked.

The Aboriginal teen said nothing.

"Hmm. You don't understand me. It's fine, just give me my ink pen and inkwell back and I'll be out of your way." Gwen said, demanding her items back.

"Merindah." The Aboriginal teen said.

"Oh! You can talk!" Gwen exclaimed.

The Aboriginal teen approached Gwen.

"My name is Merindah." Merindah introduced herself.

"Oh, that's your name. I'm Gwendolyn Mae Emmons." Gwen introduced herself.

Merindah looked confused.

"Uh, Gwen. My name is Gwen." Gwen introduced her nickname.

"Gwen." Merindah repeated, learning her name.

"Where's my inkwell and ink pen?" Gwen asked.

Merindah was confused for a moment but then she understood and pulled the magic inkwell and ink pen from her bag and held them in her hands.

"Please give them back. They're precious to me." Gwen begged.

"Not until you tell me what magic these possess." Merindah said.

Gwen sighed, having no choice.

"Look, I'm the only one who can use them. I can bring anything I think of to life with my imagination. What I think of will come to life." Gwen answered.

Merindah looked at the magic inkwell amazed then back at Gwen. She hands the items back to Gwen.

"Show me." Merindah said.

Gwen put her magic inkwell back on her belt and held up her ink pen. She magically grew a white flower from the ground. Merindah is shocked at what she just witnessed.

"That proof enough for you?" Gwen asked.

Merindah grabs Gwen's hand and takes her outside.

"Wait! Where are we going?" Gwen asked.

"You will show the chief and the elders." Merindah answered.

Gwen is taken through the village as all the Aboriginal people stared at her. Merindah takes Gwen to a hut where a middle-aged man the village chief and older Aboriginal men resided.

Merindah greeted the chief and the elders in her native language and introduced Gwen. The chief and the elders are suspicious of Gwen as she grew nervous, fearing if they were going to kill her.

Merindah assured the men that she is not associated with their enemy, and she possesses magic. The elders look confused as Merindah turned to Gwen.

"The chief wants you to show them your magic." Merindah said.

"Why?" Gwen asked nervously.

"Do it!" Merindah ordered.

Gwen's eyes popped then she got out her ink pen and magically grew some more flowers from the ground, amazing the chief and the elders. The chief asked Merindah a question and she answered.

"What did he say?" Gwen asked.

"The Chief said he will spare you… if you help us." Merindah answered.

"What do you mean help us?" Gwen asked.

"He and the elders propose a bargain. If you want to be spared, you will help us defeat the loggers from destroying our forest." Merindah answered.

"But what can I do?" Gwen asked.

"You will use your magic from your 'inkwell' to stop the loggers from destroying our forest and you will restore what was destroyed." Merindah explained.

Gwen was shocked at their request.

"So, you want me to stop the loggers and restore the rainforest and your leader won't kill me?" Gwen asked, trying to understand.

"Yes." Merindah answered.

Gwen sighed, realizing her hands were tied.

"Alright, but only if you promise to let me go." Gwen said.

Merindah translated what Gwen said to the Chief and the Elders and they nodded.

"They agree." Merindah said.

Just then, they hear the villagers chattering. Gwen and Merindah look outside to see the commotion. They noticed Cerulean Bolt and the three cups arriving through the village. Cerulean Bolt pointed at Gwen, finding her at last.

"Gwen!" The three cups called.

"Guys!" Gwen called.

Gwen ran up to the cups and they all hugged each other. Merindah grabbed her spear and approached the group along with the Chief.

"Gwen, you know these strange creatures?" Merindah asked.

"Hey! Who are you callin' creature, kidnapper?" Ms. Chalice angrily asked.

"Easy Chalice! The Aboriginals need my help to stop the loggers from destroying their home!" Gwen assured Ms. Chalice.

"Is that why she kidnapped you?" Cuphead asked.

"Yes." Gwen answered.

"We thought she was gonna kill ya." Mugman said.

"I thought that too but then I woke up in their village and they promised to spare me if I help save their forest." Gwen explained.

"Why have you come?" Merindah asked the group.

"We wanted our friend back, so we came to rescue her!" Cuphead answered.

Merindah translated what Cuphead said to the Chief. The Chief says something to Merindah.

"What's he sayin'?" Mugman asked.

Merindah turned to the group.

"The Chief said you three shall help Gwen too and you will also be spared for intruding in our village." Merindah translated.

The cups looked fearfully and gulped.

"I guess were helpin' these people out instead of going home." Mugman said nervously.

"We don't have a choice at this point." Gwen said.

Ms. Chalice groaned.

"Oh, I forgot. Guys, this is Merindah." Gwen introduced.

All three cups wave nervously.

"What names are they called?" Merindah asked.

"This is Cuphead, Mugman and Ms. Chalice." Gwen introduced.

"They have unusual names." Merindah said.

"Hey now!" Ms. Chalice scolded.

"Chalice! They know nothing about your world and your culture." Gwen pointed out.

Some of the Aboriginals get a closer look at the three cups.

"Okay, what's goin' on here?" Cuphead asked as some people poke their fingers in his milk.

"They're checking you guys out. They've never seen you before." Gwen said.

"I noticed." Mugman said as he chuckled nervously.

"Look, it's nice meeting new humans but can we get this over with?" Ms. Chalice asked.

"Okay, we should fly over the rainforest and find the loggers." Gwen suggested.

Gwen whistled and Cerulean Bolt flew up to her. The cups hop on, and Gwen climbed on.

The Chief said something to Merindah and she nodded to him. Merindah grabbed her spear and climbs on Cerulean Bolt with the group.

"What did he say?" Gwen asked.

"The Chief said I should accompany you. I know this forest." Merindah answered.

"Okay then. Looks like Merindah's coming with us guys." Gwen said.

"Eh, fine." Ms. Chalice groaned.

"Okay buddy, let's find the loggers and keep us out of sight." Gwen ordered.

Cerulean Bolt flies the group up into the canopy of the rainforest as the villagers were amazed with the flying carpet. Merindah held Gwen as she gazed at the sights of the rainforest.

The group fly for a while, noticing the wildlife of the rainforest and its natural beauty.

"Hey, look!" Cuphead said and pointed.

The group look towards a direction and notice more loggers chopping down trees.

"There they are." Mugman said.

"Woah. It's worse than we thought." Ms. Chalice said.

"They dare to continue to destroy our forest to feed their greed." Merindah angrily said as she prepared her spear.

"Easy. We can defeat them without killing anyone." Gwen assured her.

"You have a better idea?" Merindah asked.

Gwen thought for a moment until she got an idea.

"Actually yes, I do." Gwen said as she held up her sparkling ink pen.

Down on the ground, the loggers set up dynamite to blow up more trees. Before they could detonate the dynamite, they hear an eerie wind blowing as the sky suddenly turned grey.

"What's going on? What's happening?!" One logger asked feeling scared.

"I don't know!" Another logger answered.

"Blow it up yous galahs!" A foreman yelled.

Before they could, the wind grew stronger. Suddenly, lightning struck the bulldozers, destroying them. Men started screaming as some of them ran away from the rainforest. The remaining men try to activate the dynamite when suddenly, a tree started growing from the ground. The branches started growing strange leaves with little needles on them.

Just then, the remaining men started getting runny noses and started coughing.

"Crikey! That's a Gympie-gympie tree! They never grow here!" The foreman yelled.

"This rainforest is cursed! Let's get out of here!" A logger yelled.

The remaining loggers finally run away from the rainforest.

Up in the canopy, the three cups laughed as Gwen made the Gympie-gympie tree disappear.

"Did you see the looks on their faces?" Cuphead asked laughing.

"Yeah! Priceless!" Mugman answered, laughing.

"That'll teach those tree cutters to not come back!" Ms. Chalice said.

"They are gone for now, but they will be back and with more men and weapons. We need to be ready for them." Merindah said.

"What do we do?" Gwen asked.

"First, restore all the areas they destroyed. I will show you. Let's move." Merindah answered.

Cerulean Bolt flew above as Gwen started magically growing trees from the ground where the trees were blown up. They continue to fly around the rainforest growing more trees until they restored the rainforest. Merindah watched in awe as the rainforest was being restored.

"How's this? Is this good enough?" Gwen asked.

"It… is… beautiful." Merindah answered with a few tears in her eyes.

Gwen smiled as Merindah hugged Gwen.

"Aww!" The three cups exclaimed.

"It's like the Spirits from the Dreamtime sent you to us Gwen." Merindah said.

"Spirits? Dreamtime?" Gwen asked.

The three cups shrugged.

"The Dreamtime was a very long time ago. The beginning of time when the Spirits created our land, nature, us, the water. Our ancestors made all of this." Merindah explained.

"I see. So, your ancestors made everything here?" Gwen asked.

"Everything. The whole world." Merindah answered.

"Amazing." Gwen said.

"Look, this Dreamtime and Spirits sound cool, but I'm hungry." Cuphead complained.

"Do not worry Cuphead, we will have a glorious feast ready for everyone." Merindah said.

"Oh goody!" Both Cuphead and Mugman exclaimed excitedly.

"Yeah. I'm starved." Ms. Chalice agreed.

Cerulean Bolt flies the group back to the village. Merindah explains what happened to the Chief and the elders. The Chief announced it to the villagers, and they all cheered.

"Yep. They're happy." Ms. Chalice said.

Later, a celebration was held with food, music and dancing. Gwen and the cups watch a group of dancers perform to the Aboriginals music while eating fish and fruit. Gwen checked out the beautiful Aboriginal art of the Dreamtime that Merindah mentioned.

"Their food's different than back in the town." Mugman said.

"That's because these people hunt for their own food and harvest their own fruits of their land." Gwen answered.

After their meal, the cups grew tired, making Gwen realize it was time to head home.

"I think we're ready to call it a day, huh guys?" Gwen asked.

"Yeah girlfriend. This was a long day." Ms. Chalice agreed.

The cups and Gwen walked towards the rainforest, preparing to leave. Gwen prepares to teleport back to the Inkwell Isles when she is stopped by Merindah.

"Gwen, what are you doing?" Merindah asked.

"We're leaving now back to our home." Gwen answered.

"You're leaving back to your world?" Merindah asked.

"Yes." Gwen answered.

"You cannot leave. We need you here." Merindah begged.

"But Merindah, I came through my part of the bargain. I drove away the loggers and restored your forest. Besides, they need me back home." Gwen reminded her.

"The Chief and the elders had a discussion with my people, and we want you to stay as protector of the rainforest." Merindah explained.

"What? Me?" Gwen asked, confused.

"Hey, she's already protector of our home." Cuphead said.

"Yeah, you guys need to find another protector." Mugman added.

Gwen thinks until she gets an idea.

"Merindah, you love the rainforest and will do anything to protect it and your people, right?" Gwen asked.

"More than anything, why?" Merindah asked.

"As much as I'd like to be your rainforest protector, I can't. But you can." Gwen said.

"Really? How?" Merindah asked, now fascinated.

"For you to protect the rainforest, you need to possess the same powers I used to grow those trees and plants. I'd have to bestow those powers onto you." Gwen explained.

"You would do that?" Merindah asked.

"Of course I would. I can even help train you too on how to use them wisely. I already have another student I'm teaching in another faraway land." Gwen answered, referring to Darcy.

The Chief approached the group. He asked Merindah a question and they both have a talk. Gwen and the cups waited for them to finish.

"What did he say?" Gwen asked.

Merindah turned to Gwen.

"I told him everything. He wants to hold a ceremony tonight. I will take a sacred oath and you will bestow those powers to me." Merindah explained.

"Um, okay." Gwen nervously agrees.

That night, Gwen returned the three cups back to the Inkwell Isles. Then returned to the village for Merindah's ceremony. Gwen escorted by an older man which she assumes is the shaman of their village. She stands next to the chief as the music started playing.

The villagers notice Merindah painted with war paint on her body, and she walked down the walkway up to the chief and Gwen. The music stops as the Chief took the stand. He speaks to Merindah in their native language as she answered his question. The Chief turned to Gwen as Merindah stood in front of her.

"Gwen, I have taken the oath. I am ready for your blessing." Merindah said.

"Are you sure? Once you obtain these powers, it will come with a great responsibility and never let them go to your head and you must keep them hidden from the world otherwise I will strip them from you." Gwen explained her conditions.

Merindah translated what she said to the Chief and nodded.

"I understand. We understand." Merindah answered.

"Very well then." Gwen said.

Gwen magically transforms into her celestial form, revealing her golden eyes and rainbow-like sparkling hair, making all the villagers gasp. Gwen cracked her hands, reached her arms and hands at Merindah.

"Take my hands." Gwen instructed.

Merindah took a deep breath and held Gwen's hands. Gwen took a breath and closed her eyes and focused. Gwen's hair glowed brighter as magic started coming out of her hands and entering Merindah's body as everyone watched in awe until Gwen suddenly stopped.

Gwen and Merindah opened their eyes as Gwen released her hands. Merindah looked at her hands, waiting for something to happen.

"Why is it not work…?" Merindah was about to ask when suddenly, a tree sprouted out of the dirt, making everyone gasp.

"Stay calm. Now, let's start small. Try thinking of smaller plants for starters." Gwen advised.

Merindah nodded and raised her hand. She thought of smaller plants until the plants started growing out of the ground on her command.

"There you go." Gwen complimented.

"It works. I'm really doing it!" Merindah said excitedly.

"Don't get too excited. Keep your emotions calm otherwise those powers will spiral out of control." Gwen explained.

The Chief sighed of relief, knowing Gwen had the situation under control. He announces what is happening to the villagers and they all cheered. Merindah started growing more flowers and little bushes as everyone gathered to watch.

Over the next few days, Gwen trained Merindah to control her new powers after getting off work. Merindah even started to add her fighting skills with her spear combined with her new powers, impressing Gwen.

One day, Gwen and Merindah were out in the rainforest training. Merindah used her spear and powers to destroy enemies Gwen magically conjured up, testing her. Merindah managed to destroy them. Gwen applauded Merindah's skills.

"Oh yeah. You're ready." Gwen said approvingly.

Merindah smiled at her mentor.

"You, believe I am ready?" Merindah asked.

"You are." Gwen answered.

Gwen and Merindah walked back to the village. The villagers all welcome Gwen, knowing she was no longer a stranger to them. The Chief and the elders greet Gwen as a welcomed guest.

"What did he say?" Gwen asked.

"He said that it is thanks to you our village is now safe and loggers have stopped coming back for now." Merindah translated.

"That's wonderful." Gwen complimented.

Merindah smiled until she hears something odd. She goes to check it out, suspicious that something was out there.

"Merindah? Are you okay?" Gwen asked.

"I thought I heard something unusual." Merindah answered.

Gwen looked out there.

"Must've been an animal or something." Gwen assumed.

"Maybe you're right. We should…" Merindah was about to say until suddenly…

BOOM!

A fire blast out of nowhere was shot at one of the huts. Everyone started screaming and run for cover in the rainforest. Gwen quickly puts out the fire and restores the hut.

"What was that?!" Merindah fearfully asked.

Gwen's eyes widened, realizing her most hated enemy has followed her.

"The Devil!" Gwen answered.

"Devil?" Merindah asked.

"A demon of evil and darkness. His goal in life is to steal everyone's souls and trap them in the fiery underworld." Gwen explained.

"We know of such a legend. The 'Evil Spirit.'" Merindah said.

Just then the Devil appeared from the smoke laughing evilly.

"I thought I'd find you here." The Devil said.

"Unless you want to end up in your personal ER again, leave this place now!" Gwen warned as she pointed her ink pen at him.

"Oh, I won't be doing that." The Devil said as he aimed his pitchfork at Gwen.

She quickly fires her cyan-beam attack as she pushed Merindah aside. Gwen and the Devil fought as the Aboriginals watched in terror. The Devil suddenly blasted Gwen against a tree, hitting her head again.

Merindah gasped in horror as the Devil approached Gwen, preparing to kidnap her.

"You always put up a good fight my beautiful flower. Now, let's get going and no one gets hurt. Alright?" The Devil evilly asked as he grabbed her shoulder, lifting her up off the ground.

Suddenly, the Devil is blasted away by a tree, dropping Gwen. Merindah hopped off the tree and struck the Devil with her spear. Gwen is helped up by the Chief as she looked at Merindah.

"Merindah! No! He's too powerful!" Gwen yelled as the shaman tended to her injury.

The Devil gets up on his feet and looked at Merindah pointing her spear at him, ready for a battle.

"Well, well, well. Another newcomer. You wanna be a hero, little girl?" The Devil asked tauntingly.

Merindah angrily yelled a war cry. The Devil laughs at her.

"Okay, let's dance." The Devil said as he aimed his pitchfork at her.

The Devil fires another fire blast at Merindah but she quickly dodges and uses her powers to fight back with trees, vines and her fighting skills. But he realized Merindah was too quick for him when she delivered another attack with the vines.

The Devil yelled in frustration as he shapeshifted into his giant dragon form, freeing himself. Merindah gasped as he breathed fire from his mouth. Merindah quickly used her powers to lift her off the ground up in the trees to get a better shot.

The Devil flew towards Merindah preparing to attack again until she shot multiple flowers in his mouth, stopping his flame breath and making him choke. Merindah seizes her change and once again struck the Devil with her spear, making him scream in pain. Getting angrier at Merindah, he shapeshifted into his giant panther form and chased her.

Having an idea, Merindah lets him chase her up to the canopy in the rainforest. Making herself trapped, the Devil closes in on her, preparing to kill her. As the Devil leapt towards Merindah, she quickly moved the leaves aside, making the sunshine bright, thus blinding the Devil.

"OWW! TOO BRIGHT!" The Devil yelled as he closed his eyes and turned away.

Merindah seized another chance and struck the Devil with her spear, knocking him down off the trees and down to the ground. The Aboriginals cheered as the Devil struggled to get up. After the Devil caught his breath, he furiously blew fires around himself, thus setting the rainforest on fire.

Merindah gasped, realizing she pushed him too far and the forest was on fire. Suddenly, the Devil grew into his giant titan form, further outsizing Merindah as she looked in horror. The Devil emerged from above the flaming rainforest and roared loudly, thus knocking Merindah from the trees on the ground.

Gwen looked in horror at the Devil's titan size.

"Oh no…" Gwen said in horror.

The Devil turned to Merindah as she grabbed her spear. The Devil raised his enormous hand and swung fire at Merindah. She makes a run for it into the rainforest. The Devil unleashed fire balls down and she struggled to take cover.

Having no choice, Merindah raised a large tree around her, shielding her from the fire balls. Merindah tried to calm down as she caught her breath. Suddenly, the fire balls have stopped falling.

Merindah is confused and peeked outside the tree barrier, looking for the Devil.

"Looking for me?!" The Devil angrily asked.

Merindah realized too late he was above her as he swapped the tree barrier and sending her smacked into another tree hitting her head.

She struggled to get up until suddenly, the Devil snatched Merindah in his enormous fist and brought her up to his face.

"You dare to challenge the Devil you foolish mortal?!" The Devil boomed.

Merindah cringed at his booming voice.

"I don't know what Gwen sees in you, but no mortal can defeat me! I'll just finish you off then take what is rightfully mine." The Devil said.

The Devil prepared to kill Merindah as he raised his fingers, preparing to rip her soul out as she weakly opened her eyes. Remembering a trick she learned from Gwen, she started growing a giant tree in the Devil's fist.

"What now, another gardening act?" The Devil impatiently asked.

Merindah glared at him as the leaves on a Gympie-gympie tree started growing little needles, thus puncturing the Devil's skin, turning it red.

"OOH! OW! OUCH!" The Devil cried in pain as he released Merindah from his grip.

She saves herself by magically making a vine appear and swings back down to the ground. The Devil kept itching his hand as it grew bumps. He burns the tree to ashes, only for the smoke to further cause his nose to get runny and make him start coughing.

Meanwhile, Gwen recovers and gets to work putting out the fires the Devil caused.

"OW! OW! OW!" The Devil cried as he shrank himself back to his normal size.

Merindah angrily attacks the Devil with all her might, thus defeating him. She approached the Devil as the Aboriginal warriors surrounded the Devil, pointing their spears at him. Merindah knelt down to the Devil as he weakly looked at her.

"You dare to challenge the protector of the rainforest you foolish demon?!" Merindah angrily asked, finally speaking up.

"Oh, you can talk!" The Devil exclaimed.

Gwen ran up to Merindah with her ink pen.

"I'll take it from here. I'll send him back to where he came from." Gwen said.

Gwen teleports the Devil back to Inkwell Hell. She dumps him in his throne room as he continued to suffer in pain from the Gympie-gympie tree. Gwen reappears back to the villagers.

"It's okay. He's banished back to the underworld." Gwen said.

Merindah translated what Gwen said to the villagers. Everyone cheered as they lifted Merindah up, praising her victory. Gwen was also lifted up, praising her for stopping the fires and banishing the Devil.

Later, Merindah gets to work restoring the rainforest with her magic as everyone watched. Gwen smiled at her new accomplished student.

"She's gonna do great things. I know it." Gwen said to herself.

The villagers get to work with creating new Dreamtime art of Gwen's arrival, her blessing of Merindah's powers and the battle with the Devil. Gwen and Merindah hug each other.

"We did it, Gwen. The Devil can never harm the forest or my people again." Merindah said.

Gwen looked sad at her remark.

"But the loggers still could. That's why I chose you. And I have to go back home." Gwen said.

Merindah looked sad.

"But this isn't goodbye. I'll be back again to visit and train you." Gwen assured her.

"Please, come back soon. Bring your cup friends with you." Merindah said.

"I promise." Gwen promised.

"I was right. The Spirits from the Dreamtime sent you to us." Merindah said.

Gwen smiled, then she tapped her ink pen and disappeared back to the Inkwell Isles.

Down in Hell, the Devil is once again stuck in his personal ER still suffering his injuries and rash from Merindah.

"I'll… get…that…tree hugging…brat!" The Devil angrily yelled as he suffered in pain.

Just then, Henchman and his imp therapist enter the ER.

"Boss, you need to stop following Gwen around the human world. It's making things worse now that's she's got students following in her footsteps around the world." Henchman expressed his disappointment.

"Now then, let's start your next session, shall we?" Imp therapist asked as he sat down.

The Devil groaned in pain as his rash still made him suffer.

Gwen felt proud of herself helping someone protecting the rainforests as they play a role in the Earth's ecosystem and to stabilize the climate.
