Title: Under the Moonlight
The night was warm at Camp Half-Blood, and the air was filled with the sounds of laughter and chatter as the girls settled into the Aphrodite cabin for a much-anticipated sleepover. Pillows and blankets were strewn across the floor, and fairy lights twinkled like stars overhead, creating a cozy atmosphere. Annabeth Chase, Hazel Levesque, Piper McLean, Calypso, and Katie Gardner were excited for a night filled with gossip and girl talk.
Meanwhile, across the camp, the boys—Leo Valdez, Percy Jackson, Jason Grace, Frank Zhang, and Travis Stoll—were gathered in the Hermes cabin. They were supposed to have a fun night, but the allure of the girls' sleepover was too tempting to resist.
"Dude, we should totally spy on them," Leo said with a mischievous grin, fiddling with a small mechanical dragon he had built. "What could they possibly be talking about?"
"Maybe they're discussing how to take over the world," Travis joked, earning laughter from the group.
"I bet it's about their boyfriends," Jason chimed in. "They're always talking about us. Let's go!"
With a shared glance of agreement, the boys slipped out of the Hermes cabin and crept toward the Aphrodite cabin, trying to keep quiet as they approached the door.
Inside, the girls were already deep into conversation. Annabeth was sitting cross-legged on the floor, animatedly discussing her relationship with Percy. "You wouldn't believe how he is when he gets competitive," she laughed. "It's like he forgets I can outsmart him."
Hazel smiled, leaning forward. "I feel you! Frank is always trying to impress me, and it's adorable, but sometimes I wish he'd just relax."
Piper interjected, "Jason can be such a dork when it comes to fashion. He didn't know the difference between a 'V-neck' and a 'crew neck' last week!"
As they chatted, the conversation shifted to a more personal topic. "So, can we talk about periods?" Katie asked, breaking the ice. "Because, honestly, I feel like we don't talk about it enough."
The girls nodded in agreement, and Annabeth smiled, leaning back against the wall. "You're right. It's such a normal part of life, but no one seems to want to discuss it. I mean, sometimes it feels like we're all just expected to deal with it quietly."
Hazel chimed in, her expression thoughtful. "And it can be so different for each of us! I remember when I first got mine; I was completely unprepared. My mom wasn't around to talk about it, and I felt so lost."
"Same here," Piper added. "I was at a soccer practice, and it hit me out of nowhere. I had to run to the bathroom, and I swear I thought I'd never want to play again! But now it's just part of my routine."
Calypso nodded, her brow furrowed in empathy. "It's wild how much we have to manage. Like, I've tried so many different products—pads, tampons, menstrual cups. It's a whole science! Sometimes I feel like I'm in an experiment trying to figure out what works best for me."
Annabeth laughed, her eyes sparkling. "Right? And don't even get me started on the mood swings. One minute, I'm fine, and the next, I'm ready to throw a book across the room because I can't find it."
The girls giggled, and Katie leaned in, "Or the cravings! You know, like I can't resist chocolate. It's almost like my body demands it."
Piper grinned. "Chocolate is a must! I keep a stash hidden in my cabin just in case. It's like my secret weapon."
The discussion continued, diving deeper into topics like cramps, remedies, and the occasional horror story that made everyone laugh. They shared tips on heating pads, herbal teas, and the importance of hydration during their periods. Each girl contributed her experience, laughing about the awkward moments and supporting one another through their stories.
Meanwhile, outside the cabin, the boys were practically pressed against the window, wide-eyed and listening intently.
"What did they just say?" Leo whispered, clearly fascinated. "Are they talking about—?"
"Shh!" Percy hissed, trying to keep everyone quiet. "We need to hear this."
The boys leaned closer, straining to catch every word. The conversation soon transitioned from periods to relationships, with the girls discussing their boyfriends and the latest happenings in their love lives.
"Percy and I just had our first anniversary," Annabeth said, a smile spreading across her face. "He surprised me with a picnic at the lake. It was really sweet."
"I wish I could have that!" Piper sighed. "Jason keeps promising me a special date, but he's always caught up with training."
The boys exchanged looks, a mixture of envy and admiration for their girlfriends.
"Okay, we've heard enough," Frank said finally, but just as he turned to leave, Annabeth said, "And then we could totally have a fashion show!"
"What?" Percy whispered, his eyes widening.
The boys leaned back, curiosity piqued again. Inside the cabin, the girls squealed with excitement as they rummaged through a pile of clothes, pulling out tight, revealing outfits that shimmered under the fairy lights.
"Oh, this is going to be epic," Hazel laughed, slipping into a sequined dress that hugged her figure. "Get ready to be dazzled!"
The boys held their breath, unable to look away as the girls strutted around the room, each showcasing their chosen outfit. The atmosphere was electric, filled with laughter and playful banter.
Then, as if on cue, the music started, and the girls began dancing seductively, their movements fluid and carefree. The boys stood outside, completely captivated by the scene unfolding before them.
"Wow," Leo murmured, his eyes wide. "They're really going for it."
"Are we... are we really just going to stand here and watch?" Jason asked, a mix of awe and uncertainty in his voice.
"Why not?" Travis grinned. "This is like live theater. We can't miss it!"
The girls continued dancing, unaware of their audience. Each couple seemed to connect even more, the chemistry palpable in the air. Annabeth caught Percy's gaze from the window, and she grinned, her confidence soaring.
Outside, the boys exchanged glances, their thoughts racing. They could hardly believe what they were witnessing—this side of their girlfriends was exhilarating and mesmerizing.
Suddenly, Calypso caught sight of their silhouettes in the window. "Hey! You boys better come inside!" she called, a teasing smile on her face.
The boys froze, caught in the act. "Uh-oh," Frank said, glancing at the others.
"Time to go in," Percy said, swallowing hard, but there was a spark of excitement in his eyes.
With a collective deep breath, they opened the door and walked into the cabin, their faces a mix of embarrassment and excitement.
"What took you so long?" Annabeth teased, a playful glint in her eye.
"Just enjoying the show," Jason shot back, earning a chorus of laughter from the girls.
"Well, now that you're here, it's only fair you join us!" Hazel declared, pulling Frank to the center of the room.
As the music continued to play, the boys found themselves pulled into the lively atmosphere. The sleepover had transformed into a spontaneous party, filled with laughter, teasing, and playful dancing.
Under the moonlight, surrounded by friends and filled with joy, the night became one to remember, a celebration of their bonds, laughter, and the beauty of being young demigods at Camp Half-Blood.
