I never thought I would ever be back at St Vlads let alone teaching novices. But here we are. Me and Dimitri decided to take a step back from Guarding once we started having children. Yes me Rose Hathaway, well Belikova has kids. I never wanted them, never saw myself as a mother. Until I met Dimitri, he changed everything and our kids are absolute miracles. The twins were hitting their terrible threes and giving us a run for our money. My mom just laughed because our son was just like me and our daughter was like her dad. Alberta had finally retired and wanted to hand the academy over to good hands. She knew that we were trying to have a baby at the time and thought that Dimitri would be a good fit to take her place. Things have changed in the Moiri world. There is now a vaccine that prevents anyone from being turned into Strigoi. The threat we have now is the existing Strigoi looking for a meal. We have successfully taken down several packs of them, we are proactive now not reactive.
Which brings me to today. Today is a mock mission for our senior novices. Me and Dimtiri each have a small group that we mentor and they are very competitive. Dimtiri has been bugging me about trying for another baby. We got one of each in the first try and I only had to be pregnant once. So I was content most days, but some days I want more, just don't tell Dimitri

I had bet Rose that my group of novices would win the mock mission. It was set up to simulate what we really did in the field. Not every novice was chosen for this, most still did the traditional guarding, but the best of the best got picked for these teams.
I have wanted another baby since the twins turned a year old. They were the best thing that has happened in my life except meeting their mother. Rose was on the fence about having more, they were a handful, but made our lives so fulfilling. Alberta stayed around the academy and is our nanny so to speak. She is their surrogate grandma since all of our family is so far away.
