The Stunky Situation

After treating Ursaluna, along with regaining another memory, the Loud siblings figure out their next course of action.

"We need to find out what Azeru was doing here." said Luna.

"I wonder if she's still in Jubilife Village." said Luan.

"Some of us should go back there and find out." said Lincoln.

"And perhaps we should report to Professor Laventon about what transpired." said Lisa.

"And Commander Kamado." said Lana.

"I'll go back." said Leni. "I have to show Anthe the two Hippopatases I found."

"I'm gonna go back also." said Luan.

"I'll stay around and train my Machop for a while." said Lynn. "I think he could use a workout."

"I wish to stay and learn more about the Pokemon that inhabit this area." said Lisa.

"I'll stay also." said Lincoln.

"Is it because Clover might still be around?" asked Luan with a smirk.

"T-To see what other kinds of Pokemon are here." said Lincoln with a blush.

"Okaaaaaaaaay." Lincoln's sisters replied in a teasing tone of voice.

"I wanna see what kind of Pokemon are here also." said Lana. "Can you bring my Carninvine back with you, Luan?"

"Why?" Luan replied.

"I might find a Pokemon I like, and I already have six on me." said Lana.

"Why are we only allowed to have six with each of us?" asked Lincoln.

"I guess travelling with dozens might be difficult, especially when we need to bring food for all of them." said Luna.

"I wish there was a quicker way to send Pokemon back to the pastures back in Jubilife Village." said Lana.

"Maybe they'll find a way someday." said Lincoln.

"Or maybe Lisa will; she's smart." said Lynn.

"I suppose if I remember more about myself, I might be able to come up with something." said Lisa. Lana hands her Carnivine's pokeball to Luan.

"I'll make sure to put her in the village pastures when we get back." said Luan.

"I'll stay and look after our little sisters and bro." said Luna.

"And another fact you should know about Ursaluna, she has a keen sense of smell." said Warden Calaba. "She can even find stuff that's buried underground."

"If Ursaluna can find stuff we can use, that would come in handy." said Lincoln.

"Let's get going, Leni." said Luan.

"See you all later." said Leni.

"Bye." said Lana.

"Be careful on the way back." said Lincoln.

"We will." said Luan. After Leni and Luan walk back towards the campsite, Luna, Lynn, Lincoln, Lana, and Lisa decide to look around for a while, with Lana riding on Ursaluna's back.

Ten minutes later at the Galaxy Team camp, Leni and Luan showed up and went over to Professor Laventon was talking with Akari who then notices the sisters approaching.

"Hello, Loud siblings." said Professor Laventon.

"Hey, Professor Laventon." replied Leni. Professor Laventon looked over Leni's shoulder.

"Leni; I think you have something stuck to you." said Professor Laventon.

"What is it?!" yelled Leni, looking over herself. She reaches over her shoulder and felt something; she pulls it out, revealing a black, thin, eye-shaped Pokemon; it gets out of Leni's hand and flies off somewhere.

"Was that a Pokemon?" asked Luan. "Looked like one of those symbols that are on that wall fragment we got back for Warden Cabala."

"I heard that there were Pokemon that resembled the ruins' carvings." said Professor Laventon. "So anyway, what do you have to report?"

Leni and Luan told Professor Laventon what happened during their exploration of the Crimson Mirelands, including their battle with Ursaluna; Akari looked jealous when Clover and Irida were mentioned.

"So we're heading back to Jubilife Village to talk to Commander Kamado." said Leni.

"Very well." said Professor Laventon. "Have a safe trip."

"We will." said Luan.

While Luan and Leni were heading back to Jubilife Village, Lynn, Lincoln, Lana, and Lisa were exploring the Crimson Mirelands.

Lynn took the time to train her Machop by having him battle wild Geodudes and getting stronger; during the training, her Machop learned Mach Punch.

'Machop won't lose again!' Lynn thought to herself. "Why am I so competitive?"

After her Machop defeats a large, boulder-like Pokemon with four arms; she finds some sort of shiny black stone.

"I wonder if this is valuable." Lynn said. "Maybe the professor would know."

"We'll ask him next time we see him." said Lincoln.

"Pardon me." a male voice says from nearby, making them look to see a man with dark skin and gray hair, wearing a dark gray haroi with tan-colored collar, along with white pants, wearing a straw basket on his back.

"Can we help you, sir?" asked Lincoln.

"Are you the Loud siblings who quelled the Lord of the Woods?" asked the man.

"Yes we are." Lynn replied in a smug tone of voice.

"Can we help you with something?" asked Lincoln.

"Think you can help us with with setting up our new base camp?" asked the man. "We're making one by the bogs." The man turned towards a path going between two hills. "Our Odo could use someone as capable as you. He's a fresh Construction Corps recruit, still learning the ropes."

"Sure, we'll be glad to." said Lana.

"Thank you; just keep going up that direction and you should meet with Odo." said the man. After Lynn, Lana, and Lisa returned their Pokemon to their pokeballs, they, along with Lincoln, begin walking up the path the man pointed out.

Moments later, they see a boy with black hair, wearing round framed glasses, dark blue jacket over a long, white, long sleeved shirt, dark blue pants over long, black socks, and tan sandals.

"Whoa, there, I'd keep your distance if I were you." said the boy.

"Are you Odo?" asked Lincoln.

"Yes; do I know you?" replied the boy, now identified as Odo.

"Someone asked us to help set up a new base camp." replied Lincoln.

"Well, I did find a good spot to set up the base camp, but those bothers over there are taking up the spot." said Odo, pointing at three, skunk-like Pokemon.

"What are those Pokemon?" asked Lynn.

"Those are Stunkies." replied Odo. "They're quite a bother; maybe someone can handle this, someone good at battling."

"Don't worry; we'll help you out." said Lincoln.

"Are you sure you're all up to this?" asked Odo. "Those Stunkies stink something fierce."

"I'm sure we can handle them." said Lynn.

"Well, if you insist; but you got to beat all three of them, so be ready to run." said Odo. Lincoln looks next to him to see Lana was gone; he looks around and sees her walking towards the Stunkies. "Hey, be careful."

Lana began walking closer to the trio of Stunkies; they hear her approaching and turned their backs towards her.

"Look out!" shouts Odo. The Stunkies releases a foul-smelling liquid from the back of them and it lands near Lana. She inhales the smell of the liquid and lets out a relaxed sigh.

"Wow, that smells so good!" said Lana. The Stunkies look at each other with shocked looks on their faces. Curious, Odo walks closer to where they are and begins sniffing the air; he recoils and runs back.

"That's the most putrid thing I ever smelled!" exclaimed Odo. "How come that little girl isn't repulsed by that?!"

"I haven't the slightest idea." replied Lisa. Lana pulls out a pokeball.

"I think I'll catch one of these guys." said Lana. She tosses a pokeball and releases her Shellos. Two of the Stunkies stepped back while one glared at Shellos. "Looks like that one wants to battle; fine by me."

"Me and Lynn will take care of the other two." said Lincoln. He and Lynn run to stop the other Stunkies from escaping.

"Okay, Shellos, use Mud-Slap!" Shellos sprays a stream of mud out of his mouth and it hits the Stunky, dealing super effective damage, and lowering its accuracy. The Stunky sprays a stream of purple liquid from its mouth at Shellos, but misses.

"Shellos, use Mud Bomb!" said Lana. Shellos launches a glob of mud from his mouth and it hits the Stunky, hitting it, and dealing super effective damage; it falls to the ground and struggles to get up. Lana pulls out an empty pokeball and throws it at the Stunky, hitting it, and sucking it in; it wiggled around a few times until a firework shoots up from it. "Yeah! Stunky is mine!"

At Lincoln with Quilava, they were standing in front of another Stunky.

"Quilava, use Flame Wheel!" said Lincoln. Quilava does an aerial somersault and becomes surrounded by fire; he begins rolling towards the Stunky and rams it, knocking it out. "That takes care of that Stunky."

"This one, too." said Lynn with Machop, standing in front of another Stunky that was laying on the ground. The two Stunkies get up and run away.

"Hey, Lisa; any idea what my new Stunky is like?" asked Lana.

"I believe your Stunky is female, she should know Tackle, Acid Spray, Poison Gas, and Venoshock." said Lisa. Odo walks over to the Loud siblings.

"Wow! You and your Pokemon got talent!" said Odo.

"You got that right." said Lynn, grinning.

"Thanks to you all, we can get the base camp set up now." said Odo. About half an hour later, the new camp was set up.

"There we go." said Odo. "What do you all think? Makes the area feel safer out here, no?"

"It will suffice as a place we and our Pokemon can rest." said Lisa.

Just then, Professor Laventon and Akari arrive and look around at the new base camp.

"This is splendid." said Professor Laventon. "Another camp for us to use during our excursions here in the Crimson Mirelands."

"What should we call this one?" asked Lincoln.

"How about the Bogbound Camp?" suggested Professor Laventon.

"Whatever." said Lynn. "I just want to get my Pokemon stronger."

As everyone checks out their new camp, Lincoln notices Akari staring at him.

"Are you okay, Akari?" asked Lincoln.

"I-I'm fine." Akari replies as she looks away with a blush, confusing Lincoln, and making Luna, Lynn, Lana, and Lisa giggle.

"Looks like another girl likes Lincoln." said Luna.

"Hey, Professor." Lynn said as she pulls the black stone she got from the boulder Pokemon out of her satchel. "I got this from a Pokemon."

"That's a Black Augurite." said Professor Laventon. "That particular object can evolve a Scyther into a Kleavor."

"Fascinating." said Lisa. "Could I use that on my Scyther?"

"Go ahead." said Lynn as she tosses the Black Augurite to Lisa.

"How do I use this?" asked Lisa.

"Just touch your Scyther with it." said Professor Laventon. Lisa lets her Scyther out of her pokeball and touches her with the Black Augurite, turning her into a Kleavor.

"That is awesome!" said Lincoln.

"Do other Pokemon evolve by touching them with stuff?" asked Lana.

"Some do." said Professor Laventon.

"Perhaps we will encounter some of them during our journey." said Lisa.

"We'll see." said Professor Laventon.

The Louds have helped set up a new camp in the Crimson Mirelands. What else will they do as their work with the Galaxy Team Survey Corps continues?
