Yes, you read that correctly, this is the epilogue. 15 chapters and four years later, it's done. I'm glad I went down this road, despite it being insane and drew me off track for other projects. I do hope you all enjoyed this story, this version of Killian with this OC.

"Let me get this straight, you don't know how to swim?" Sabine didn't bother keeping the shock out of her voice. They were back at the bed and breakfast for a week's vacation.

"No." Killian answered, thinking nothing of it.

"But you were a pirate."

"Not a required skill."

"You were in the navy before that."

He shook his head. "Again, not a requirement."

"How? So, if you fall off the boat at work..."

"It was a ship and, in that case, it's in fate's hands, love."

"That sounds stupid and insane. I'm teaching you how to swim this week."

Sabine had to go buy Killian a bathing suit and they headed to the pool. His jaw dropped when she pulled her dress off right there.

"Love, what are you doing?"

"What? This is my bathing suit." Really, it was just a simple green two-piece suit.

"You wear more fabric in the bedroom."

Sabine chuckled. "I do, until it all ends up on the floor. Into the water, pirate."

They spent one afternoon on her uncle's boat, sailing the St. Lawrence Seaway. The rush of the waves, the smell of the air. It was calming and peaceful.

Sabine looked over at Killian and loved the expression on his face. You look happy here." She meant on the boat, close to the water.

He instantly understood what she meant. "I'm happy with you. Wherever that is." And drew her close for a kiss.

There I'm done with this story that got really out of hand. Here is what their future looks like: there is a ring on the finger, new job for her (she got her PhD, on to her dream job), music gigs, trips for them, he is working on getting a license and a car. And of course, lots of mind blowing sex
