Chapter 6.
Morning came, and Naruto was awoken by the sound rustling from outside his bedroom he got up and found that Haku, had risen up earlier. His attention was then drawn by the smell of something good cooking coming from outside his kitchen
He got up and slowly walked outside his bedroom he saw Haku, was wearing an apron and was preparing breakfast. He sat down and watched her as she prepared breakfast. This was the first time anyone has cooked him anything and it felt good.
" Good morning Naruto-sama, My apologies I did not notice you were already sitting at the table. " Haku said
" It's okay Haku-chan, so what are you making?" Naruto asked
" Just some eggs Naruto-sama and some buttered bread, I have noticed that we are rather running short on food supplies " Haku commented
" Yeah, I guess you're right I've never really thought of going to the grocery with me well, always being alone. those eggs and bread you're making was from old man Hokage. Sometimes he'd visit me and bring me all sorts of stuff " Naruto said
Haku frowned when she heard the way Naruto spoke and felt the loneliness in his tone. She promised herself she would never let Naruto be alone ever again.
Haku finished making breakfast and laid them all down the table. She sat in the chair in front of Naruto and Noticed that Naruto was just staring at the food.
" Is, there something wrong, Naruto-sama, is the food not to your liking? Do you prefer something else to eat? " Haku asked concerned
" No.No..No..Nothing's wrong! it's just this is the first time anyone has ever cooked for me " Naruto said a bit teary eyed..
"That was good! Wow Haku-chan you're really a good cook. " Naruto complimented
" Thank you Naruto-sama, It was one of the things that Zabuza-sama asked me to study " Haku said
As Naruto finished his meal, he ran back towards his room and changed into his orange jumpsuit. He then tells Haku to get changed as he promised he'd buy her a couple of clothes. He also added that they should go grocery shopping so he could taste more of Haku's cooking.
The pair were now walking around town, when they happened to cross paths with Team 8. with their sensei Kurenai Yuhi
" Hey guys what's up? " Naruto greeted them.
" Nothing much we just finished our daily training routine. Who's that pretty girl with you? " Kiba asked
" Oh right, everyone I'd like you to meet Haku-chan, she's a friend of mine and she's currently living with me " Naruto said
Everyone in team 8 was shocked at Naruto's revelation. they all looked at each other surprised and confused, even kurenai gave a curious look at them.
" It is a pleasure to meet you all, I am Haku and I am Naruto-sama's friend " Haku greeted them with a smile
" The name's kiba and this is my partner Akamaru" Kiba sad
" Shino, Shino Aburame " Shino said
" Hinata Hyuuga It's nice to meet you " Hinata said
" So what's the deal with you and Naruto and how did this loser get a pretty girl like you to hang out with him?" Kiba asked suspisciously
Naruto hearing kiba called him loser caused his face to scowl he stared kiba in the eye.
" I just told you dog breath we're friends! that's why" Naruto said defiantly
" You must really be a nice person for being able to stand this idiot " Kiba said to Haku
" There is nothing wrong with Naruto-sama he's kind, caring and loving. I consider being with him a blessing and I would appreciate it if you don't insult him in my presence. I will not hesitate to eliminate those who would disrespect him" Haku said chillingly
Kiba and the rest of team 8 were frozen still as Haku unleashed her killing intent. Even Naruto felt himself sweating. Kurenai moves in front of her team, she and Haku had a stare down. Kurenai was prepared to fight Haku to defend her students while Haku was also prepared to fight.
Naruto and the other genin were sweating at the pressure of both kurenai and Haku's killing intent. It reminded him of that time when both Zabuza and Kakashi were about to clash. He knew he had to do something or things could get ugly.
He mustered every ounce of will power he had and grabbed Haku by the arm and dragged her a few feet away from team 8.
" Please Don't do that sorta thing, I can handle dog breath if I have to " Naruto pleaded with Haku
" I do not like it when someone talks ill of you Naruto-sama but since you asked me then I will yield down" Haku said
" Thanks.. I guess we should go and say sorry to them. We don't want you getting into trouble" Naruto said
" I do not mind getting into trouble if it means to defend you. " Haku said
" Well but I mind, okay? so let's just get this over with and go " Naruto said.
" As you wish Naruto-sama " Haku obliges
Naruto and Haku approached kurenai and team 8 Haku bowed and apologized to Kurenai
" I apologize Kurenai-san for my behavior I did not mean to antagonize you or your team in any way. I hope you can forgive me " Haku said
" Yeah kurenai sensei sorry about that We didn't mean to cause trouble " Naruto said
" Apology accepted. Besides It was Kiba who started this mess " Kurenai said
" Ye...yeah So...sorry about that I just got a little carried away " Kiba said still shaken up by Haku
With that Naruto wished team 8 a good day and moved along their route.
As they were walking away Hinata called out and ran towards Naruto.
" Uhm...Uh Na...Naruro..Kun S..sorry again fo..for kiba." Hinata said with a blush
" It's alright it wasn't your fault" Naruto said with a grin
" I.. I wanted to give you this.. I...Hope you like it. It's uhm a special healing oil that the hyuga use to ease muscle pains from training " Hinata said while blushing.
" Wow! Thanks Hinata! I'll definitely be using when I feel sore from training " Naruto said happily grinning.
Naruto and Hinata continued their small conversation while Haku was observing them. She was eyeing Hinata. There was something about the way she looks and acts towards Naruto that instinctively makes her dislike the hyuga heiress. Her eyes were narrowed while she was observing the two.
" Pardon me for interrupting your conversation Naruto-sama, but shouldn't we be moving ahead? We don't want to be late for lunch do we Naruto-sama?. I hope you don't mind Hinata-san? " Haku interrupted with a smile
Naruto was oblivious but Hinata could feel that Haku was giving a fake smile.
" Oh yeah right almost forgot we need to go shopping. See ya later Hinata" Naruto said grinning
" Alright take care both of you" Hinata said
As they were walking ahead. Haku turned her head back at the hyuga and gave her a quick glare that spelled " Back off"
Hinata was able to understand the signal that Haku gave. she clenched her fists and whispers to herself that she needs to get stronger for Naruto.
