Chapter 12 A nightmare in a dream

Harry woke up drenched in sweat. He rubbed his eyes and looked around. It was dark.
He looked at the clock. Too early.
He fell back onto the bed and grabbed his book. After a few seconds he was fed up again.
Harry stood up and walked to the window. He peeked outside and saw the Forbidden Forest twinkling in the moonlight.
It was four o'clock. He knew he wouldn't be able to sleep again, so he walked to the bathroom and got dressed.
He walked down the spiral staircase to the common room and climbed through the portrait hole.
He knew it was forbidden to walk around at night, but he didn't care. He wandered aimlessly through the corridors.
He decided to go to the library. Harry turned around and walked quickly but silently into the library. When he went into the library, he suddenly stopped
He heard the rustle of papers. Someone was in the library. Or something...
He quickly stood behind a cupboard and then looked around the corner very carefully. The figure just sat there. The rustling he heard was from the cloak. As if sensing its presence, the thing looked up.
Harry quickly jumped behind the cupboard. He tried to make as little noise as possible.
'What you seek, seeks you.' A deep voice sounded near his ear. He turned around but no one was there. The thing at the table was gone too.
Then he started to fall, to fall. To a bright white light below.
He closed his eyes tiredly and thought about the delicious Hogwarts pancakes he would eat tomorrow morning.
Then something danced into his field of vision.
Long red hair.
A twinkling smile...
"Alice?" She turned around. Harry started and jumped back; where her eyes should have been, there were only empty eye sockets, as if someone had pried them out.
In the same deep voice as the thing in the library she said: What you want, wants you. What you know knows you, what you seek seeks you. You will find it, so it will find you. Take care, Harry Potter. Doom is rising."
