I don't have any major comments before this chapter, so…
"Last time on Total Drama Pokemon! The teams were formed, and conflicts started immediately. Crawdaunt abused Carbink for…literally no reason! Growlithe tried to take control of his team, to the displeasure of everyone else. Some of the contestants came face to face with REGIGIGAS, and Igglybuff was sent home due to being pathetic and useless. Who will leave next? Find out right now, on TOTAL DRAMA ISLAND!"
We start with a shot of the cabins, the camera zooms into the girls side of the Shining Pearl's cabin. Everyone is asleep, except Doliv, who seems to be observing the others. This is interrupted by an alarm going off. This causes Edelgoss to roll off her bed, Hakamo-o bangs her head on the roof, and Carbink is shaking. As this was happening Pachirisu jumps up and turns off the alarm next to her bed. Edelgoss picks herself up, seemingly angry.
"What in tarnation is wrong with you! It's only 2AM!"
"Yep, time for my early morning run, see you girls later!" Pachirisu runs out of the room, looking like nothing more than a blur. Hakamo-o sighed.
"Well…I'm not going to fall back asleep, so I might as well train too." She opens her backpack and pulls out a punching bag, it's blue with a poorly drawn face on it. She walks outside, as Edelgoss gets up.
"We really need to talk to her." Edelgoss looks over at Carbink who shakes her head in agreement. She then looks over at Doliv, who didn't even seem to notice and just continues writing in her journal.
~~~Doliv confessional~~~
"Pachirisu sleeps with one eye open, it's quite fascinating."
Outside the cabin, Hakamo-o starts punching, until she notices that the guy's cabin was left wide open. This confuses her, until she sees Delibird walking out, seemingly asleep still, this gives her an idea, and she walks in. She then walks over to Krokorok's bed, and punches him awake.
"Ayo, what's you-" Hakamo-o shushes him
"Want to sneak out and skip the challenge?"
"Uh…I dunno, we could get…" Krokorok stops and clears his throat. "Yeah, let's go." The two of them walk out of the cabin, and go into the woods. "So…what exactly are we going to do?"
"I was thinking…what if we steal some eggs from the kitchen, and throw them at Tornadus' cottage!" Krokorok started sweating.
"Oh…well, yeah that sounds cool, but Tornadus may get fussy and eliminate us, maybe we should do something else!" Krokorok smiles uncomfortably and Hakamo-o shrugs.
"Fair point, maybe we should just look for the idols, one of them is probably hidden in the forest." Krokorok exhales in relief.
~~~A few hours later~~~
We cut to the mess hall, everyone except Hakamo-o and Krokorok is there, eating their burnt Eggo Waffles. Tornadus flies through the door. "Who's ready for their next challenge?" No one responds, causing a sigh from Tornadus. He then throws two flags towards each team. "The challenge starts at the dock, two members of each team will swim around the island until you see the orange sign we put up yesterday." Tornadus pulls out a picture that he conveniently had on him. "Each of you will carry a flag, and when you get there, you will pass the flag to two members waiting on land. They will then run through the forest and up the volcano until you reach the next orange sign, where you then pass it to two other members of your team, who will fly to the finish line that Thundurus and I will hold up. Any questions?" Multiple hands raised, "Rhetorical question, I'll give you 10 minutes to decide who you want to participate." Both groups formed huddles.
~~~BD huddle~~~
Castform began to speak, "Staravia and Beedrill should obviously be out fliers but…" Sawk shushed her.
"After your performance in the last challenge, I think it would be best if you sat this one out!" Castform's mouth opened in shock.
"What! That wasn't even my fault!"
"Oh, so now you're deflecting the blame? You can't even take responsibility for your actions!"
"Wha- I FOUND the flag! We would have lost even worse if it were-" Staravia interrupts them
"Guys stop, this isn't helpful." Staravia looks over at Castform, "Sawk is right though, you did screw up last episode…it might be better if you don't participate." Castform attempts to speak, but Beedrill cuts her off.
"Ugh, we shouldn't even humor this miserable molecule, let's discuss this away from the useless one" most of the team walked out, Floette went to follow them, but turned around, and floated next to her.
~~~SP huddle~~~
Pachirisu jumps on the table, "Ok, so now that there are no more…nuisances" she looks over at Growlithe, who still has tape on his mouth, he seems annoyed but he can't voice his opinion. "Delibird should obviously be a flier, Crawdaunt should be a swimmer, and I should be a runner." She paused and sighed, "since two of our teammates are…not here, the rest of us will have to pick up the slack!" She looked over at Crawdaunt, "Who do you think should swim with you?"
"Carbink", he makes an evil grin, and Edelgoss turns red!
"As if we're letting you ANYWHERE near them again!" Pachirisu sighs and pushes Growlithe next to Crawdaunt.
"Here, you can take Growlithe." She looks at Edelgoss, "You can fly right?"
"Well…kinda…but I can usually only go where the wind takes me…" Pachirisu nodded
"That's fine, we can just have Delibird use Icy Wind to push you." Pachirisu looked over at the two remaining options. "Uh…I guess our other runner can be Doliv, since I doubt Carbink would be faster." Tornadus' voice rang out on the intercom.
"1 minute remaining", With this, everyone ran to their positions.
~~~Dock~~~
At the dock, a Buizel intern stands with two flags, in between two carpets. On the blue carpet, stands Nickit and Sawk, whilst Crawdaunt and Growlithe stood on the pink one. The Buizel intern spoke.
"3….2…..1….GO!" The four of them were off. Nickit was in first, Growlithe in second, and Sawk in third. Despite his typing, Crawdaunt was in last, although that wouldn't be for long, as Crawdaunt shot a dark pulse at Sawk, allowing him to get ahead.
~~~Forest~~~
Hakamo-o and Krokorok are climbing a tree, looking for the idol. They eventually get to the top branch, and decide to sit and take a break. They immediately notice the utter peacefulness of the forest below. Krokorok takes off his sunglasses to get a better look, and Hakamo-o turns to him.
"So…why did you sign up for the show?" Krokorok hesitated
"Uh…the million dollars." Hakamo-o nodded
"Yeah, that makes sense, it's part of why I joined too" she looked down, "But…I also just wanted to…get away from my family."
"Uh…why?" Hakamo-o sighed
"Listen, you're cool and all, but we just met…" Krokorok smiled awkwardly.
"Oh…right…sorry." Hakamo-o smiles
"It's cool" Hakamo-o suddenly gets an idea and jumps down, "stay here, I'll be back!" Krokorok seems confused, but does as he's told.
~~~Water~~~
Back at the race, Nickit is in the lead, until he gets hit with a bubblebeam, which knocks him underwater and allows Growlithe and Crawdaunt to pass him. He opens his eyes, and he spots something on the seafloor, curious, he swims down to grab it.
~~~Nickit confessional~~~
He's holding a totem, but it looks different from the other idols, it's shaped like an Abra. It has a note attached and Nickit reads it out loud. "Play this totem before the challenge to swap a member from each team." Nickit thinks for a second, "I…can work with this."
Crawdaunt and Growlithe arrive at the orange sign and jump out of the water. They hand their flags to Pachirisu and Doliv. "Go!"
Pachirisu runs off in a flash and Doliv…runs…very slowly, maybe she wasn't the best choice. At this moment Sawk gets out of the water and hands his flag to Kommo-o, he looks around. "Where is Nickit? He was supposed to be ahead of me?" Nickit surfaces from the water.
"Right here!" he swims to the shore and hands the flag to Frigibax. Kommo-o then lifts Frigibax onto his back, and begins to run. Sawk turns to Nickit,
"What happened? I thought you were our fastest swimmer? Nickit had already begun to run off.
"Sorry Sawk, but I have some…errands to take care of, we can talk about this later." Before Sawk could say anything else, Nickit had already run into the forest. Sawk had a frustrated look on his face.
~~~Sawk confessional~~~
"Am I the only one on my team who is actually taking this competition seriously?"
Growlithe is seemingly trying to say something, but it's all muffled because of the tape. Crawdaunt shrugs and removes said tape. "Ugh finally. Who does Pachirisu think she is, taking the leadership position that should rightfully be mine!" Crawdaunt nods.
"Yeah, her and Edelgoss didn't let me work with who I wanted either, they're too bossy." he turns to Growlithe, "maybe we should vote her off next elimination." Growlithe grinned widely.
"Fantastic idea! Then no one can steal my well deserved title as team leader!" Crawdaunt rolled his eyes and walked away.
~~~Dining Hall~~~
Castform and Floette have been sitting here in awkward silence for quite a while. Castform looking down at the table, Floette decides to break the silence. "I'm sorry they treated you like that…" Castform looks over, and sighs.
"No, they have a right to, but it just sucks being judged for something you can't…control." Floette looked confused.
"Huh? What do you mean?" Castform sighed
"I…have a weird…condition." Castform made eye contact for a second, but didn't maintain it for long, "Us Castform are known for changing forms with the weather, and normally that has no adverse impacts…but for a few of us…it causes some…major changes. For me…my mood and personality completely change. I'm terrified of the snow, or the rain, or even just the sun being a little hotter than usual, because it means I'm not…myself." Castform's eyes filled with tears, and Floette moved closer and hugged Castform.
"I'm so sorry you have to deal with that" they stayed embraced until her tears faded, "Maybe…you should tell the rest of the team? I'm sure if they knew about your condition they woul-"
"No, they already think I'm useless, if they knew about that, it would just give them even more reason to vote me off." she turned to Floette, "Which is why, you can't tell anyone either." Floette frowned, but it quickly turned into a smile as she nodded.
"Don't worry, I won't!" Floette's smile is quite infectious, as within seconds, Castform was smiling too.
"Hey…thank you for listening to me." Floette nodded and continued smiling.
"No problem!"
~~~Volcano~~~
In a flash, Pachirisu had already made it to the volcano, she handed her flag to Edelgoss. "Go NOW!" Delibird looked perplexed.
"But, I have to push her with my Icy Winds, that will be hard to do if I can't fly too. Shouldn't we just wait until we get the other flag?" Pachirisu shook her head no.
"If we do that, we'll fall behind! JUST GO!" Pachirisu ran back down the volcano, most likely to go find Doliv. Delibird and Edelgoss turned towards the cliff.
"Uh…are you ready, Edelgoss?" She shook her head, and Delibird used Icy Wind. At first, this strategy worked pretty well, as Edelgoss floated with the wind. However, she eventually got pretty far, so far that Delibird's Icy Winds couldn't reach her anymore, at that point, another gust of wind came, and carried her right into a tree. She was stuck.
"Uh….a little help?" Delibird turned to the Unfezant intern who was monitoring the volcano.
"Hey…can I go…get her?" he shook his head no.
"Unfortunately, you are not allowed to leave this spot until you get the flag!"
"Well….can you go get her?" he shook his head no again
"No, I'm not allowed to move from here, someone would cheat if I left." Delibird sighed, realizing there was nothing he could do.
~~~Nickit Confessional~~~
"I thoroughly read the contract, and what I'm about to do is technically not against the rules, but it probably will be once the hosts figure out what I did, so I only have one shot at this."
Nickit was outside the production building, he looked in the window and noticed the only mon in there was a Sableye. They were sitting next to a plate with Oran Berry crumbs on it, and were holding their stomach. At that moment, their stomach made a noise, and they ran out of the room, leaving the door wide open. Nickit couldn't believe his luck, he took this opportunity to sneak in. The first thing he did was look at the cameras, not much of note as happening besides Krokorok and Hakamo-o spray painting some trees.
Hakamo-o walked over to Krokorok's masterpiece, it was just a bunch of squiggly lines, she giggled a bit, causing him to look behind him. "Ayo, what's so funny?" Hakamo-o controlled herself for a second.
"Well, when you said you did graffiti, I wasn't expecting the flying spaghetti monster!" she chuckled some more and Krokorok turned red!
"It's…abstract" Krokorok walked over to Hakamo-o's tree, "Besides, I doubt you did any bet-" his mouth was agape at the fiery pattern on the tree.
"You were saying?" he turned to her,
"Where…did you learn to do this?"
"Oh…I'm self taught." she held her arm, "I used to be a boxer, but after…my life started falling apart, I found that the only way to express myself," she looked at the tree, "was through art." Krokorok was absolutely stunned, as he continued to stare, Hakamo-o yawned. "Ugh, thanks to Pachirisu, I didn't really get much sleep." she yawned again, "Think it's time to take a nap," she turned to Krokorok, "see you later!" Krokorok awkwardly waved as she walked out of the forest. Krokorok kept staring at the painting for a minute, until he decided to walk away, as he did, he tripped on a log.
"Why are these stupid logs everywhere!" as he looked behind him and the log, he had noticed it had broken open, and inside, was one of the cancellation totems. The camera zooms out and we see Nickit still watching the footage live.
"Jackpot!" Nickit turns behind him and goes into the filing cabinet. He quickly looks through until he finds the one labeled as Krokorok. Before he can get a good look, he hears someone outside, they say something like "I'm glad Mawile didn't see that". Nickit quickly opened the window opposite to the door, grabbed Krokorok's file, and jumped out. He then quickly ran before Sableye could notice him.
~~~Forest~~~
Doliv was sniffing flowers, picking the ones she liked, and making them into a bouquet. Or she was until Pachirisu came along. "What are you doing?" Doliv held out her bouquet, and Pachirisu swatted it away. "We don't have time for this, we have a challenge to win!" Pachirisu picked up Doliv and zoomed back up the volcano, but by the time she got back, she noticed the other team had already gotten there, and that Staravia and Beedrill were way ahead. "Here, take the flag and FLY!" Delibird scratched the back of his head.
"I uh…also have to get Edelgoss because…" Pachirisu looked down and noticed Edelgoss stuck in the tree, she had a frustrated expression, "I don't think we're going to be able to catc-" Pachirisu cut him off.
"Just FLY, I'll slow down the other team!" Delibird began to fly, as looked at Staravia and Beedrill, her face turned red with anger, she couldn't allow herself to lose. Just like that, she fired off a discharge. Staravia noticed just in time and dodged it, another bolt came.
"BEEDRILL LOOK OUT!" Beedrill looked back and narrowly dodged the bolt.
"What the [bleep] is her [bleeping] problem?" As this was going on, Delibird managed to get Edelgoss back in the air, he began flying in place to use Icy Wind on her. Pachirsu continued firing bolts, until Kommo-o noticed.
"Hey!" Kommo-o ran up to her and grabbed her from behind. She attempted to discharge free from his grasp, but it did very little to the Dragon type. As she continued to discharge, stray bolts flew everywhere, Staravia and Beedrill managed to dodge, but unfortunately, one of the stray bolts went straight into the unsuspecting Delibird, which caused him to scream in agony, and then plummet to the ground below. Tornadus took immediate notice of this and flew downwards, pulling a walkie-talkie out of his cloud.
"Medical, come to the forest now, there's been an accident." Tornadus then pulled out a megaphone and shouted to the mons above, "Attention campers, the challenge is postponed for now!" A few minutes later, Audino arrived, followed by 6 Happiny. She did a quick examination.
"Well, he's been temporarily paralyzed." she turned to the host, "We'll have to take him back to the medical tent to check for further injuries." Tornadus nodded, and the 6 Happiny carried him away, with Audino trailing behind.
~~~Pachirisu confessional~~~
"I….hurt my own teammate…"
~~~Medical Tent~~~
Tornadus and the 16 contestants were gathered in the medical tent, and Audino brought Delibird out. "Well, his paralysis has healed, but he's sprained his leg. Competing is going to be difficult in his condition, and further strain may worsen the injury. I would recommend that he leave the game." Tornadus looked at Delibird.
"It's your decision, do you want to continue competing." Delibird immediately shook his head yes.
~~~Delibird confessional~~~
"Sure, it's going to be difficult with this ankle, but I NEED this money bad!"
Tornadus cleared his throat, "Well…given the…incident that happened today, and the fact that nobody technically won…no one has to be eliminated today! So…uh…go get some rest." Tornadus flew out of the medical tent. "So…I guess nobody got eliminated today, but someone will tomorrow? Who will it be? Find out next time, on Total Drama Island!
~~~Postcredits~~~
Thundurus is sipping a soda and Tornadus flies in, Thundurus rolls his eyes which frustrates Tornadus. "You know, we're supposed to be Co-Hosts, but you barely even show up, what's up with you." Thundurus grumbles,
"I don't care about this hosting stuff, I didn't even want to do it!" Thundurus glares at him "You dragged me into it!" Tornadus sighs.
"Well…if you don't want to be here so badly…I guess you can leav-" before he even finished, Thundurus had already floated out the door. Tornadus looked outside and saw Thundurus flying away. He sighed in disappointment.
I did originally want an elimination here, I had a few different ideas, but none of them quite worked, so I decided why not have a non-elimination round. Don't worry, someone will leave next time.
