A/N: Welcome to the first Legacy Chapter! This chapter deals with most of the first season of Mighty Morphin, the plot points that I felt were the most important, from the first episode up until Doomsday. I know I could've talked about The Return of An Old Friend, but for my personal narrative I chose not to. Also, full disclosure, I absolutely used the Wiki and ChatGPT to get a barebones summary and then punched up that summary into this proper chapter. So if there are any discrepancies, I apologize!

These Legacy Chapters are completely optional and are not required reading for the rest of the story. They are only here if you feel like you need a Power Rangers refresher or just don't know the proper series. That being said, this is still a summary. If you want the full story, go watch the show wherever you can. I think most of the seasons are actually on the official Power Rangers YouTube but don't quote me on that.

Midoriya Residence, One Month before the Entrance Exam

"A big part of your training is understanding our history, Izuku." Tommy said, sitting down at the table with Izuku, or as close a proximity as a ghost could. "So, we're going to have a Ranger from each team explain what exactly happened. We're going to start with my team, the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers."

"Okay, so you're going to tell me about your team?" Izuku asked, his head tilted.

"Not me, no. I came in after they had already established themselves as a team." Tommy explained. "No, Billy's much more qualified, he's been researching Ranger history for as long as I can remember."

"Oh, okay." Izuku said, turning to Billy as the former Blue Ranger adjusted his glasses.

"Well, it all began when an evil space witch named Rita Repulsa escaped from her prison on the moon after 10,000 years. She immediately tried to conquer Earth, so the wise and benevolent Zordon, who's trapped in an interdimensional time warp, recruited five 'teenagers with attitude' to become the Power Rangers and protect the planet. That was me, Jason, Zack, Trini, and Kimberly. We each had unique strengths—Jason was the Red Ranger, our leader, Zack was the Black Ranger, Kimberly, the Pink Ranger, and Trini, the Yellow Ranger. As for myself, you already know that I was the Blue Ranger.

I want you to keep in mind that this was all happening when we were all freshman. We were 14, just about your age, and we had to face various monsters sent by Rita and crew including her general, Goldar, her monster maker Finster, and two bumbling idiots named Squatt, and Baboo. Rita would use her magic staff to make her monsters grow, but thankfully, with the Megazord, we were usually able to stop them."

"I have the feeling that this is where Tommy came into the picture." Izuku interjected.

"Your feeling would be correct. At this point, we had been Rangers for about a couple months and we had really become quite the team, so Rita decided to make a ranger of her own. She created the evil Green Ranger by brainwashing Tommy and giving him a coin of her own creation: The Green Dragon coin. His Dragonzord was a formidable challenge for us, and things got really complicated when he fought against us. Hell, he even broke into our Zord while we were in the middle of a fight and took us all down. If it hadn't been for Jason destroying the Sword of Darkness that was the source of Tommy's mind control, he probably would've killed us, leaving the Earth completely defenseless against Rita."

"But it all worked out!" Izuku pointed out.

Billy did have to concede that point. "For a time. With the six of us fighting together, we felt invincible. We should've known that Rita had a plan. She made this magic candle that was tied to his Green Ranger enemy. Once the candle burnt out, Tommy would lose his powers and Rita would get them back. So naturally, our fearless leader Jason decided to go to the Dark Dimension to get the candle alone and is instead almost killed by Goldar."

"But you got the candle back, right?" Izuku asked, looking to Tommy, who shook his head.

"No. We failed. Tommy gave the last of his powers, including the Dragon Shield and Dragon Dagger, to Jason before he lost his powers permanantly." Billy sighed. "So for a time, we had to deal with the fact we were back down to 5. It was a devastating blow, for sure. But, we couldn't sit by and just let Rita win. We kept fighting until finally, Rita enacted a plan that she was sure would result in our Doomsday. She had summoned a Zord of her own, Cyclopsus, and it took combining our Megazord, the Dragonzord, and our carrier Zord Titanus to form our Ultrazord to destroy the damn thing, leaving only its head.. While we were distracted, Rita had taken the entire population of Angel Grove hostage in her Dark Dimension, and then for good measure, trapped Titanus in a sinkhole and blew it up for good measure. We were on the backfoot, no question. Rita seemed almost unstoppable. We had no Zords, as they were drained from the previous battle, and Rita was summoning some of her strongest monsters. Rita somehow managed to immediately rebuild Cyclopsus and our Zords were only at half power. I'm guessing you can guess what happened next."

"You got your asses handed to you?" Izuku guessed.

Billy chuckled and nodded. "Precisely. It was only because Alpha had managed to figure out Cyclopsus' weakness that we even stood a chance. Zordon somehow managed to find Titanus and revive it, allowing us to constantly change our fighting styles, completely overwhelming the Zord. After that was taken care of, we were going to take the fight to Rita, as she had landed her Palace on Earth to draw strength. However, when that failed, she retreated back to the moon. We were safe. We had finished our freshman year and save the world countless times. But our fight wasn't over. We didn't know it then, but our future had more threats, including the emergence of our greatest enemy: Lord Zedd..."

"And then what happened?" Izuku asked, clearly fully enraptured in the tale.

Billy took the time to smile over at Tommy. "The return of an old friend. But that's a story for another time. You still have an entrance exam to study for, Izuku."

And that's about it! I kind of expected this to be a bit of a shorter chapter but still, it's fine!

Not much else for me to say, next chapter will be the First Day, but that's really all I can think of saying

As always, drive the speed limit, drink some water, and love one another. Pizza!
