Samuel Santillan chapter 3 . Aug 29

I loved it, good chapter.

It was interesting to see that the Uzumaki have such unique traits among them, a long life that can be considered almost eternal.

It will be a big surprise for the leaders to find out about this news, I just hope there is no problem for Kushina to integrate.

Answer: Kushina might have a problem integrating at first but if anything she is adaptable.

Chapter 4: Curious Minds And A Sucker's Bet

Commander Holtz does not know how, but within 2 weeks Kushina and Kimiko have caught up to a level of Education that was standard for all federation worlds to have. Even though they were nowhere close to being ready to take the entrance test for Starfleet. Holtz had no doubt in his mind that if the two kept up at this pace they would be more than ready to take the entrance test. But the speed that they were learning was something that the Federation admiralty had caught wind of and they were sending representatives to see them. He had told Kushina and Kimiko that the admiralty was curious about their learning speed.

He also told them that they had sent two of their top Admirals from Starfleet Command to see how they were doing it as well as their other abilities for themselves. Kushina Understood, and had agreed to give a demonstration as well as a brief explanation of how they were learning so fast. But she warned him that they were not going to teach Them how to do it. Not until they are certain that they won't abuse the knowledge. He was fine with this as well as the admiralty, especially since one of the Federation laws was the prime directive. Although there were some parts of Starfleet that were not so happy about being on the other side of it.

But those outliers were nothing for him to worry about at the moment. Especially when he needs to prepare for the Klingon ship to finally start docking. Even though the ship had arrived at the star base a week prior, it still hadn't docked yet due to the damage. It was leaking coolant and plasma due to one of its Nacelles being critically damaged. Just an hour ago they had finally got that coolant and plasma leakage under control and were finally able to dock. If it wasn't due to the ship's prototype nature and the Klingons insisting that they fix their ship themselves, He knew without a Shadow of a doubt the ship would have already been docked by now. He knew If one of the Star Fleets prototype ships was forced To dock at a Klingon shipyard, they too Would have insisted on some level of security. But he could still not believe the level of caution that their Klingon neighbors were having over this new ship. Holtz was brought out of his thoughts by the station com system.

"Command Center too Commander Holtz." A feminine voice said over the com system. Straightening up at the sound of The Voice Holtz tapped his com badge before responding.

"Holtz Here." Holtz said, He had a good guess on what this was about and he was quickly proven right by the next words from his com officer.

"The USS Horizon is here with Admiral Blackwell and Admiral T'Lara aboard, They are requesting to be transported aboard." The female com officer Said, Hearing what she said Holtz quickly got up and quickly responded.

"Permission granted, Transport them to transporter room six and tell them I am on my way." Holtz said as he walked out of his office and headed straight into transporter room 6. When he arrived he told the transporter operator to transport them aboard, and The operator did what he was told. Within seconds Admiral Blackwell and Admiral T'Lara were standing on the transporter pad.

Admiral Blackwell is a female human in her mid-40s with tan skin and short brown hair. Admiral T'Lara is a female Vulcan with short black hair and tan skin. Both were dressed in the dress uniform of the Starfleet admiralty uniform.

"Admiral Blackwell, Admiral T'Lara, Welcome aboard." Commander Holtz said as he graded them with a handshake. After shaking both of their hands Admiral Blackwell spoke up.

"Although we would like to continue with the pleasantries we are unfortunately on a tight schedule. I'm assuming both Kushina Uzumaki and Kimiko are ready to see us." Blackwell asked. Commander Holtz nodded his head before responding.

"Of course, and yes they are ready. They're currently in Cargo Bay 5." Commander Holtz said as he led them out of the transporter room and towards their destination.

"Is there anything we need to know before we meet them?" Admiral T'Lara Asked curious about the two.

"Yes, Kushina Uzumaki may seem energetic, Wild, and may have a temper. But what I have observed so far is that when things do get serious or the situation calls for her to be serious... Ahh... How do I describe it? ahh... *Snapping his fingers* I know It's like a switch. One second she's this carefree person, and then she's this serious Warrior ready to do whatever needs to be done. " Commander Holtz said.

"Are you saying that she has a split personality disorder?" Admiral Blackwell asked worriedly. Having somebody with a split personality Along with the power that has been described in the reports, could be a serious threat to Starfleet security.

"No not at all. What I'm saying is that she has the emotional control and discipline of a Vulcan when it comes to controlling her emotions. But unlike a Vulcan, she doesn't control them all the time only when it's needed. It happened during the time I was explaining that you were arriving and wanted to see their capabilities firsthand. The two were quite concerned about the wrong people getting a hold of the information that they possessed and from what I had seen so far from the two I would say their concerns are Justified. There's also the fact that she has military training, And if she wanted to she could probably take out half the station. But given her personality I doubt that is even a concern." Commander Holtz said, Causing Admiral Blackwell to let out a sigh of relief.

But this only made Admiral T'Lara curious and a bit hesitant. A person who can switch between logic and emotions In an instant should be impossible. As a Vulcan, she knew this better than anyone. It takes days perhaps weeks to transfer oneself between states without negative side effects. Then again she was human and their emotional stability was a lot more stable than a Vulcan's. She would have to see this 'switch' that the Commander was speaking of for herself, And perhaps she could exchange mental techniques with her.

Entering the cargo bay the group was greeted by a slightly amusing site. In the cargo bay there was a circular table with five seats and in one of those seats was a sleeping Kushina who was hunched over face-first onto a data pad. Kimiko was sitting in the other seat as she held little Naruto. Seeing their visitors had entered the cargo bay, Kimiko Attempted to give Kushina a good smack with one of her tails. On instinct, Kushina sprung awake and grabbed the tail. She would have done more but seeing that it was Kimiko she relaxed as she let out a yawn.

"Why did you do that?" Kushina asks yawning. It was quite obvious that the redhead did not notice their new guests. So with an amused expression, Kimiko spoke up.

"Because the admiralty and The Commander are here." Kimiko said causing Kushina's face to pale a bit as she looked over at the three visitors.

Quickly she created a Henge to hide her haggard appearance, Which the group was quite shocked at the display. Especially since the messy hair and tire-looking Woman was gone, and in her place was a well-dressed and well-groomed woman, who looked not tired in the slightest. Kimiko just rolled her eyes at her antics as she spoke up.

"It is a pleasure to meet you two, please take a seat, and before you ask what Kushina did, it is known as a Henge. It's an illusionary technique that allows you to take the form of anybody or any appearance. My lazy and embarrassed friend just used it to cover up her... Disheveled appearance. But please do not blame her, little Naruto was having a problem last night, combined with Preparing everything for your visit and her studies it resulted in her falling asleep. I thought giving her a couple of minutes of sleep was better than no sleep at all. So if you must blame somebody, blame me and my mischievous nature." Kimiko said with a calm demeanor and a polite but amused smile. Kushina blushed heavily because of her embarrassment.

"Hello, I am Admiral Blackwell and this is Admiral T'Lara, and don't worry I understand. Taking care of a child combined with your studies as well as preparing for are visit would be quite a challenging workload. But that does bring up a question, if you do plan on joining Starfleet and attending Starfleet Academy how would you deal with that workload when you're raising your son? As a mother myself, I know the difficulties of doing both so what makes you sure that you could handle both?" Admiral Blackwell asked getting right to business. The three then sat at the table and brought out their respective data pads.

"Because I'm a ninja." Kushina said cheerily causing everybody to sweat drop at her answer. Seeing their action Kushina then got serious.

"Seriously though, one of my ninjutsu or ninja techniques is called The Shadow clone Jutsu. It allows me to make a solid clone made of my chakra that has all my memory, Knowledge, and Skills, and when they are dispelled their memories are returned to me. So essentially the fact I can literally be in multiple places at once should allow me to take care of my son and study for Starfleet Academy." Kushina said seriously.

She then demonstrates the technique by creating a shadow clone, who then goes over to the replicator, grabs a cup of Klingon coffee (which she had recently fallen in love with), and brings it over to her Before dispelling. The three were quite surprised at this display, but only Admiral T'Lara didn't react as much due to her being Vulcan. Instead, she analyzed what Kushina had said.

"So that's how you have been learning so fast. You've been creating multiple of these clones and having them Study for you." Admiral T'Lara said stoically.

"Partially, you see my chakra Network is still a bit out of whack due to my injuries. So I'm only have been making around 7 Clones a day as I recover and take care of Naruto. I've been using a space-time Fūinjutsu to speed up time in a certain area. The Clones will enter the area, activate the seal, and begin reading. I did not have time to put safety features in the seal so I put a barrier up around the door. So just in case anyone accidentally enters the room, they're not caught up in it. But since my clones do not transfer Their physical States, only the information that they have gathered, so it is perfectly safe. However, they do also send the mental fatigue that they get, hence why I passed out. If you're curious about the seal You can see my handy work for yourself." Kushina Says as she gestures to the many symbols that littered the walls of the cargo bay before continuing

"It took me a good couple of days to set it up. However, I recommend you do not try to replicate it, Especially with your replicators. I tried that and it blew up in my face, well one of my clone's face anyway." Kushina said seriously but chuckling at the end. The three Starfleet officers were stunned, As their eyes Roamed over the Intricate symbols that spread all the way across the room.

"How much did you accelerate time?"Blackwell said shocked and a bit amazed.

"Well, One day in the real world will pass, when a week will pass Within the cargo bay when the seal is active." Kushina said thoughtfully

"You're telling us you can manipulate time In a certain area to that extent." Admiral T'Lara asked curious.

"Well yeah, you're looking at a true master of Fūinjutsu. Give me enough time I can pretty much do anything."Kushina said confidently

"Anything you say, then tell me could you move a planet into Warp?" T'Lara asked raising her eyebrow. Kushina nodded her head before speaking.

"With what I know from the little information that I had access to about warp speed, I could do it. But It would take years and an army of Uzumaki or a fuck ton of Shadow clones to inscribe the seal Matrix onto the planet's surface. Not to mention the amount of years of chakra that I would have to store just to move it into warp speed safely. But it's definitely doable especially since my great-grandfather already created a seal Matrix that does exactly that. Moving space and time around an object is practically Child's Play For a Uzumaki Seal-Master." Kushina said thoughtfully as she did think over the hypothetical. But then Kushina got this glint in her eye that Kimiko instantly recognized and before Kushina could think about it any further she was whacked in the back of the head with her tail.

"Word of advice do not give Uzumakis an idea when it comes to seals if you don't want them to use it, especially one that would challenge them. Because believe me they will end up doing it." Kimiko said to the admiralty before looking at Kushina with a Stern glare.

"That means you're not moving any planets into warp speed or moving any planets at all." Kimiko said to Kushina as she pouted and rubbed her head. But then the twos attention was grabbed by a cough from Admiral Blackwell.

"I'll make sure to make a note of that in the future. But we need to move on, now are you willing to part with some of this knowledge?" Admiral Blackwell asks which made Kimiko and Kushina go completely serious. It was just like the Commander had said, it was like a switch And even Admiral T'Lara could tell that somehow Every ounce of her emotions was under her control.

"No, not until we know your people are ready for such knowledge," Kushina said seriously and with no emotion.

"What do you mean by that? Why do you think our people are not ready for such knowledge?" Admiral T'Lara asked with an eyebrow raised in curiosity.

"Fūinjutsu is not just a science but an art, It is also extremely dangerous. From what we have observed from your people so far you're not ready. It would be like giving a toddler a razor-sharp katana that was made for a fully grown adult. Not only that you won't be able to wield it properly but you will end up killing Yourself or somebody else by accident. It is also one of our highest laws to not give such information away to people who are not capable of truly understanding it. It is similar to your prime directive. Not to mention that Uzumaki's are usually the only ones who can ever reach that level due to their chakra Reserves and their uncanny way of understanding Fūinjutsu. It is for that reason that we're only training young Jocelyn. But it's going to be years before she even starts learning Fūinjutsu and even longer before she's able to use it like Kushina can." Kimiko says seriously and with a bit of Steel.

"As a Starfleet Admiral, I can respect that. And until you deem us ready you have my support on this subject." Admiral T'Lara said.

"You have my support As well and If you could demonstrate some of the basic Fūinjutsu to show to the admiralty I could possibly get more support. You do not need to tell us how it works we just need a video of it in action. I'll also make it for the Admiral's eyes only." Admiral Blackwell said seriously. Kimiko and Kushina looked at each other as they had a silent conversation Through their mental link.

"Fine. We will show you what is called a storage scroll it is a very common item in our world, And even though it is complicated in nature it is very easy to put together. Oh, be warned we'll be putting a masking seal on it so even if you do get a glimpse of the seal Matrix any attempt to copy it will end up badly for anyone involved." Kushina said and once she got a nod from the two admirals she became instantly cheery again.

After that conversation, Admiral T'Lara had asked about her emotional control. And after explaining it wasn't anything close to what Vulcans can do, and just simply putting a firm hold on her emotions for a brief time. But Admiral T'Lara was still impressed and wanted to know more about it. Kushina did not mind and explained the theory and the mental exercises to reach that state. But at the end of it, Admiral T'Lara was not only impressed but intrigued. But her curiosity would have to wait because they needed to talk about other things. Which, consisted of What learning material she would have access to from now on (which was a lot) and the date of her Entrance Test. When that was all done they showed them a storage scroll and after documenting it the two Admirals had left the station for their ship.

A Day Later

Kushina was bored out of her mind, Kimiko insisted that she take a break from her studies and go explore the station, As she looked after Naruto and apparently newly found daughter. Yeah, that was a shock for both of them. After getting worried about the other half of Kimiko not showing herself, she decided to pop into Naruto's mindscape and check on... well herself. It turns out her dunderhead of a husband sealed Way too little amount of Kimiko's spiritual energy inside Naruto. Now because of that the other half of Kimiko had none of her memories which resulted in a clean slate, so pretty much an infant.

Kimiko had the bright idea of claiming this other half as her daughter and had made a mental connection with the little kit by taking a small amount of her physical chakra. which, she now gladly uses to pick up Naruto so she can communicate with her newly found daughter, Which requires a physical connection (for the time being). Now she rarely ever lets go of Naruto, which bugs her a lot. So not having her Naruto time she was forced to Wander the station aimlessly. Eventually, she came to what appeared to be a bar of sorts. Deciding to enter it she looked around, it was definitely a bar with a lot of people having drinks and food. Seeing a group of aliens wearing strange uniforms (that were more Like armor) having a good time, she decided to socialize.

One Hour Later

"tlhutlh! tlhutlh! tlhutlh! (Drink! Drink! Drink!)" The group of Klingons (who Kushina just met an hour ago) chanted as she jugged her 27th pint of blood wine. At first, the group of Klingons had no interest in talking with a human. Then one of them made a remark. 'Why would they drink with a human since they can't even withstand a single pint of blood wine?' Kushina took that as a challenge and after her fourth pint, the captain made a bet that if she could drink him underneath the table he would pay for all the drinks. Kushina being the problem woman she is took that bet. Now 27 pints in, the Klingon (who she found out was the captain of the cruiser that docked here for repairs) was barely holding on to consciousness as he attempted to drink his 27th pint.

Kushina was no better but it was obvious that she was way more alert than the Klingon across from her. The poor dude barely got halfway through his pint before he collapsed unconscious onto the table. The rest of the Klingons around them cheered in amusement at the two. It was at this time that an irate bartender came over and demanded them to pay and leave since she was closing up. The first officer to the Klingon captain had simply grabbed the money off of his Captain's Waistband and paid the woman for all their drinks before carrying his captain out. Kushina for her own part stumbled out of the bar and made her way home. As she entered the door Kimiko could not help but be amused at the State that Kushina was in. Especially when she ended up puking her guts out, collapsing into her bed, and falling asleep. Although she was a little concerned about the fact that she was able to get so drunk in the first place. But knowing her it was some drinking competition or something along those lines, so she really wasn't that worried. So with an amused smirk, she went back to playing with the two kits.

The Next Day

The next day Kushina went back to that bar after one of her clones was dispelled with information of the Klingons. Apparently, they were a Warrior Race, and that had piqued Kushina's interest. Luckily for her, the captain was back there With his men. She approached the table and sat down, as The captain looked at her with a bit of amusement.

"Back for another round?" The Klingon Captain asked, with an amused smile.

"Obviously." Kushina said rolling her eyes as she ordered a pint of blood wine.

"Although I would like to make another bet. I don't think I have the money to pay for another one of our rounds." The Klingon Captain said amused.

"That's fine. I was wondering if a Klingon's skill with a blade was really as good as it was reported. You see I come from people who are warriors such as yourself, and I was wondering if I could test your metal." Kushina said with a predatory smile.

"You dare challenge are captain without even us knowing your name." The first officer said as he showed his teeth. Kushina just blinked at him for a second before facepalming.

"Sorry, I guess I was too drunk last time to introduce myself. I'm Kushina Uzumaki also known as the Red Death." Kushina said with her predatory smile as she leaked a little bit of her aura. The Klingons all stiffened and even some of them took a step back. Every single one of them knew that this woman was dangerous and she definitely had an heir of a warrior.

"I'm Captain D'tarda Vronoch, Son of Kahko Vronoch, of house Vronoch. Now tell me, was it your enemies who gave you that title or your allies?" Captain D'tarda asks curious.

"It is customary on my planet for our enemies to give us our titles. Usually, our title comes from how we operate on the battlefield. I am told I get my name because my red hair is the last thing every man sees after I cut them down with my blade, And coming across me is guaranteed death." Kushina says as she takes a sip of her blood wine. The Klingon captain nods to that before responding.

"It is impressive that you got that name from your enemies. But why would such a warrior want to cross Blades with me?" Captain D'tarda asks curious As he raises his eyebrow.

"First, what I'm suggesting is not a death match but a test of skill with the blade. Second, I am one of the very few legendary blade Masters on my planet on par with the seven swordsmen of the Mist. As a swordswoman, getting able to see what an alien species swordsmanship is like is something I cannot pass up. That and I'm getting a little antsy being cooped up." Kushina says a little sheepish at the end. Captain D'tarda grinned at her, he knew the feeling all too well, and it was because of that reasoning he agreed to their little spar. But what the Klingon Captain did not know was that his metal was truly going to be tested that day and that he would make a friend for life.
