It was dark and he was wet. The heavy wind helped pelt him with a mixture of rain, snow, and sleet because he wasn't under a roof, but on top of a tall building.

He didn't want to be here but he had no other choice. When Kurogiri asked for volunteers, he tried to stay as far in the back as possible but he was somehow pushed to the front and the mist villain took that as him volunteering. He wanted to be a part of the group that was attacking the class head-on so he could help out the teacher, but since he has no other choice he'll wait here and see if anything happens.

When he came through the portal and wound up in this weird storm he quickly separated himself from the other villains and got to higher ground. He used his better vantage point to analyze each villain and determine which ones he could easily beat and a quick path for him to take to find the class.

"I'm having a hard time seeing through the camera, what's going on?"

"It's nothing but heavy rain, light snow, and a hint of sleet over here. I have no idea what's happening except I'm surrounded by villains with no easy way out."

"Are you in any danger?"

"No, but I'm gonna stay here for a few minutes before I go find the class. Hopefully, they can handle themselves before I get there."

"Ok, but make sure to wipe the cam–zzzttt–so I—zzzttt–Jack!—zzzttt"

Static rain over the earpiece. Jack Rabbit quickly tapped the device to try and fix it but he got more static.

"Echo? Echo! Damn it, they must have something to jam outside communication. I hope the camera still works fine."

Jack Rabbit groaned in frustration. Since he has no connection to Echo he has no way to call for backup if anything goes wrong.

He heard some commotion down below and saw two people get spat out by the black mist. He couldn't see who they were but he assumed they were part of the class the villains were attacking. He then saw a four-arm villain charge at the two students and he quickly sprung into action.

He used his grappling hook to swing down and kick the villain to the ground. He quickly equipped his staff as he landed before turning to the two students and freezing. Standing right before him was his friend Fumikage.

"It's you!"

Breaking out of his trance, Jack Rabbit turned and looked at the purple-haired boy who spoke. It was that same boy from that group he stopped months ago, Shins.

Jack Rabbit heard the four-arm villain groan and he saw him getting up and more villains surrounding them.

"Talk later! Villains now!" Jack Rabbit ordered in a deep voice so Fumikage wouldn't be able to recognize him.

The two boys nodded and Jack Rabbit quickly jumped onto the four-arm villain's head to knock him back down before slamming a foam pellet onto him. Even though they were replenished this morning, Jack Rabbit knew he only had a limited amount of pellets to use.

He saw a group of villains charging at him and ran right at them. He used his staff to jab one in the stomach as he used Split Second to dodge an incoming attack from behind. He then brought his staff up to smack the villain behind him before swinging it around to take care of the villains surrounding him.

Jack Rabbit then saw Fumikage use Dark Shadow to slam a group of villains into the ground. He then looked over at Shins talking to some villains, which confused him until he saw those villains attack a crowd of villains.

Getting back on track, Jack Rabbit launched a smoke pellet into a crowd before vaulting himself into the smoke. He felt himself land on someone and he quickly started swinging his staff wildly, feeling himself make contact with multiple villains. Split Second went off and he saw a hulking man come up behind him. Thinking quickly, he jabbed the man in the stomach and kicked him in the chin before the world sped up.

The smoke cleared and he saw that he took out a couple of villains but he still saw a large number of them coming. A looked over at his friend and saw both he and his quirk were getting exhausted. Shins was faring no better as the villains quickly caught on to his scheme and were starting to overwhelm him.

Scanning the area, Jack Rabbit saw an alleyway. He whistled over to the two boys and signaled to their only exit. They both nodded and started to fall back as Jack Rabbit used a combination of both the smoke and foam pellets to help with their getaway.

The trio ran deep into the alley and came upon a dead end. Knowing they didn't have a lot of time before they were overwhelmed, Jack Rabbit looked around for an escape route and found a fire escape.

"Up there!"

Fumikage saw it and had Dark Shadow launch him onto the closest balcony. Shins looked around for anything that he could use but found nothing. They heard the mob getting close and Jack Rabbit thought of an idea. He shot his grappling hook onto the balcony and handed it to Shins.

"Pull the trigger twice!"

"But what about—!?"

"Just do it!"

Shins did as he was told and felt himself get whisked up into the air. When he reached the balcony he felt Fumikage and Dark Shadow pull him onto it so he wasn't left hanging.

Seeing that both boys made it up safely, Jack Rabbit quickly looked around for a way to get up. He saw a dumpster underneath the ladder but there was still quite a distance between the two, but maybe he could stack something on top of the dumpster to make it easier to reach the ladder.

"I see one of them!"

Or not.

Realizing that he was running out of time, Jack Rabbit took a running start and jumped onto the dumpster before using his momentum to scale the wall. Believing he was close enough to the ladder he pushed off of the wall and reached for the ladder. Just as his hand was about to grasp onto the lower bar a huge gust of wind blew him out of reach. Thinking quickly, he pulled out his staff and stuck it between the first two steps of the ladder, preventing him from drowning in the sea of villains below him.

Now hanging between safety and danger, Jack Rabbit started swinging back and forth until he was hanging upside down with his legs locked onto the ladder. He felt his hood slide off his head, but he would have to worry about that later. Putting away his staff, he grabbed onto one of the steps before unlocking his legs and fixing his hood. He then joined the boys on the balcony and Shins gave him his grappling hook back.

"Let's get to the top and put some distance between us and them. We'll talk about our next plan of action when we get there."

Jack Rabbit led the two boys as far as the fire escape went and came up to a window. Jack Rabbit used his staff to break the glass before ushering in the two hero students. Jack Rabbit looked down below and saw the horde of villains fighting each other as they tried to reach the ladder, letting him know they were safe for the time being.

Letting out a sigh, Jack Rabbit slid through the broken window and was met by a look of distrust and displeasure coming from Fumikage. Jack Rabbit brushed it off and started planning their next steps.

"I don't know how long until they figure out how to work together so we need to figure out a way to get you two out of here and to safety."

"No, we need to talk about who you are and why our class is being under attack!" Fumikage argued and he saw Shins nodding in agreement. Jack Rabbit didn't want to waste time but he knew that letting them know some stuff will let things move more smoothly.

"Who I am isn't important, but I'm here to help. As to why your class is being attacked, it's because they believe they have a way to kill All Might."

Jack Rabbit expected them to be shocked but they kept their emotions in check. Though, they shared the same disbelief he had when he first heard it.

"That's dumb. Not one of those villains looked strong enough to hurt, let alone kill All Might!" Shins pointed out.

"You're not wrong, but they're not here to kill All Might. They were brought here to take out the teachers and students."

"What!?"

"Their plan is to have this hulking bird man kill All Might while the villains we just saw and many more are to kill your teachers and class. My guess is that if they fail to kill All Might, they at least want to send a message to the rest of the world."

"So what you're saying is that as long as they leave here with a body count then they'll consider this whole thing to be a success," Fumikage summarized and Jack Rabbit nodded.

Fumikage growled and paced around the room. Jack Rabbit could see that he was frustrated with the whole ordeal and he wanted to comfort him, but he needed to worry more about getting the three of them out of there. He walked over to one of the non-broken windows and wiped the camera to show Echo that he was still fine, as long as it still works.

He peered through the window and saw a lot of villains littering the streets. The buildings were close to each other so they could avoid the ground for the most part. He also saw the exit but it was far from where they were. He checked the pouches to find that he only had four of each pellet left.

"Alright, let's get to the roof."

"Huh?"

"The streets are flooded with villains so we're gonna use the roofs to get as close to the exit as possible. Consider this a lesson, if you could avoid any unnecessary fights then do it."

Jack Rabbit led the boys to the roof. The rain was a lot stronger than it was down on the streets. Jack Rabbit checked the gap between the buildings and saw a small space between them. It wasn't anything he wasn't used to, but he wondered how the others would make out.

"Do you think you can manage this?"

Fumikage nodded while Shins looked a little apprehensive.

"I don't know if I can…?"

"Don't worry, I can have Dark Shadow help you," Fumikage told the taller boy and Dark Shadow emerged to give a thumbs up.

"Thanks, but—!"

They heard yelling and Jack Rabbit peered over the roof to see the villains using the fire escape to get into the building. Realizing they don't have much time, Jack Rabbit took a few small hops to prepare himself.

"Well, whatever you're gonna do you need to figure it out fast! See you on the other side!" Jack Rabbit ran to the ledge and jumped at the last moment.

He landed on the other roof with a roll and turned to the others and gave them a thumbs up to show he was fine. Up next was Shins and Jack Rabbit was surprised to see Dark Shadow pick up the boy and throw him to the other side. Jack Rabbit quickly moved to catch him, well, more like cushioned his fall. Last up was Fumikage who used Dark Shadow to clear the gap and reach the two boys.

They continued this pattern for most of the buildings they jumped to, except for a few where Jack Rabbit had to use his grappling hook to get across. They soon reached a building that overlooked the exit. They were too high up to jump down or have Dark Shadow throw them. They also couldn't find a fire escape or an entrance to the building they were on.

"So what now?" Shins asked.

Jack Rabbit looked around and found a street light. He shot his grappling hook at it and watched it latch onto the light.

"This will probably end badly, but grab onto me!"

The two boys gave him puzzled but also worried looks and grabbed onto him. With a couple of deep breaths, Jack Rabbit jumped off the building with both Fumikage and Shins holding onto him. The plan was for them to use the grappling hook to swing close to the exit, but with the added weight the three boys were in a free fall. They all let out bellowing screams as the ground got closer to their impending demise.

"DARK SHADOW!"

Dark Shadow emerged and encased the boys in a shadow bubble as they crashed into the ground. They all groaned in pain as the shadow quirk checked on its host. They all had cuts and bruises, but they didn't feel anything was broken.

"Let's never do that again," Shins said as he took out his medical equipment. It was only bandages and hydrogen peroxide because UA won't give their students any drugs such as painkillers until they pass a drug and medicine class.

"Yeah, it wasn't my smartest plan," Jack Rabbit admitted as he looked at his grappling gun. The cord was snapped, most likely when Dark Shadow shielded them. He then saw foam and smoke coming from his pouches. The pellets most likely broke when they landed.

After quickly disposing of his pouches, Shins treated their wounds, well, the ones he could see, the trio slowly made their way through the exit. When they made it outside, Jack Rabbit wiped his camera again and checked his earpiece.

"Echo!? Echo, do you hear me?"

Still nothing but static. He was hoping the static was caused by the rain but the villains did find a way to prevent outside communication.

"What are you doing?"

Jack Rabbit turned and saw Fumikage and Shins giving him puzzled looks.

"I'm trying to call my partner, but the lines are jammed."

"So what you're saying is that there's no way to call for help?" Shins asked and Jack Rabbit nodded. The tall boy paused for a few seconds before marching off in a random direction. Jack Rabbit quickly got in his way.

"Where are you going?"

"I have to go help Mr. Aizawa!"

"No, you need to get out of here! You don't know what you're going up against!"

"That doesn't matter! We are UA students, we can't abandon someone who needs help!" Fumikage spoke up and sided with Shins.

"The guy who planned out this whole attack can kill you with just one touch!" Jack Rabbit shouted at them. The duo flinched and Jack Rabbit sighed. "Look, the reason why I'm here is to make sure you and your class are safe. I know you want to save your teacher and your class but you're not ready to fight these guys. It'll be better if you guys ran for help while I go and help your teacher."

Jack Rabbit expected the two to understand his little speech but they looked more determined than they did before.

"I'm sorry, but we wouldn't be able to call ourselves UA students if we ran away when someone needed our help," Fumikage spoke up.

"And if you have a problem with that then you're more than welcome to stop us, but we won't go down without a fight!" Shins added.

Dark Shadow emerged from Fumikage to make the duo appear more threatening. Jack Rabbit wanted to argue but they were determined to go help their teacher with or without his help. He also didn't want to fight his friend when the whole reason why he came here was to help.

Jack Rabbit let out a long drawn-out sigh as he rubbed his eyes.

"Fine, but when we save your teacher you better get to somewhere safe. Got it?"

The two boys nodded and the trio headed off to the plaza. It didn't take long to find it because it was in the center of the facility, but also where the most noise was coming from. When they got there they saw unconscious villains strewn all over the floor, but they also saw a homeless-looking man being crushed by a giant bird monster.

"MR. AIZA—!" Shins started to scream before he and Fumikage were tackled behind a fountain.

"Are you crazy!? You almost gave away our position!" Jack Rabbit scream-whispered.

"But what about–" Jack Rabbit quickly held up his hand to silence the tall boy.

"We have the element of surprise. We can use it to our advantage," Jack Rabbit peered over the fountain and saw Shigaraki talking to Kurogiri, and from the way his body was moving, he was clearly displeased over something the mist villain did. "Luckily, they didn't seem to hea—!"

What Jack Rabbit saw next made him freeze. He saw Shigaraki move from the plaza over to the water in the blink of an eye, but that wasn't what made him freeze. Standing in the water were three students, one small boy, a tall boy with a rock-shaped head, and his girlfriend, Tsu. At that moment all he could see was her getting turned into dust.

Without a second thought, Jack Rabbit burst from behind the fountain and charged at Shigaraki. He saw Shigaraki's hand over Tsu's face, but she wasn't turning to dust. He heard the young villain say something but it all sounded like a jumbled mess.

"You're really cool Eraserhe—!"

Jack Rabbit dropped kicked him away from his girlfriend.

"DON'T YOU TOUCH HER!"

Shigaraki skidded across the ground away from the vigilante. He slowly got up and the vigilante could tell that he was furious behind the dismembered hand covering his face.

"Oh, someone wants to play hero, huh? That's fine, let me get your arch-nemesis. Nomu!"

Jack Rabbit was suddenly covered in darkness as he felt the bird monster standing over him. Split Second activated, but the world wasn't moving as slowly as it did earlier, so he quickly dove out of the darkness and equipped his staff as the world sped up. He saw a small crater where he was previously standing.

Split Second activated again and he caught Shigaraki in the corner of his eye. He jabbed his staff behind him and caught Shigaraki in his gut. He then felt his staff turning to dust as Shigaraki had a stranglehold on it.

"That was starting to get annoying. Nomu!"

Nomu towered over him once again and he wasn't able to dodge him this time. Nomu grabbed his arm and lifted him into the air. He could feel his arm getting crushed by the beast.

"Break him!"

"DARK SHADOW!"

Time slowed down as he felt his arm getting crushed by the beast and his friend's quirk moving to reach him. Then out of nowhere, the front doors to the facility burst open as someone's footsteps echoed throughout the dome.

"Don't worry, you're safe now. You know why? Because I AM HERE!"

Everyone turned to the stairs and saw All Might standing there without his signature smile.

There was a huge gust of wind Jack Rabbit found himself out of the hands of Nomu and laying in front of Fumikage and Shinso. It didn't take long until the trio in the water joined them as All Might carried over their battered teacher.

"Take Aizawa to safety and you…" All Might pointed at the injured vigilante. "You don't belong here. Leave now or else…"

Jack Rabbit felt someone help him up and lead him away from the battlefield. He wanted to stay and fight alongside the number one hero but he knew that the chances of him getting caught were high if he stayed. He also knew the number one hero could handle the situation without any help.

The five students and vigilante made it to the top of the stairs and reached the rest of the class. They quickly huddled around their injured teacher and Jack Rabbit took the opportunity to sneak out. Before he left he looked at the class and saw Fumikage giving him a knowing look. He hoped that his friend wasn't thinking what he thought he was thinking.

Now outside, Jack Rabbit realized that he had no way to get back to the hideout or home. He was also on UA property so he couldn't just casually walk out, especially in his costume.

"Zzzttt—Jack—zzzttt—Loo—zzztt—up—!"

Jack Rabbit quickly tapped his earpiece once he heard his partner's voice.

"Echo!? Can you hear me?"

"Look up!"

Jack Rabbit did as instructed and saw Sora hovering above him. He quickly used his good arm to wave the drone down. Once it was close enough he strapped himself onto it and felt himself get hoisted into the air.

"Thanks for coming to get me. I don't know how I was gonna get home in this."

"Don't mention it. I flew her over once they jammed all communication."

"Sorry I couldn't find a way to reach you. I should've known they block off all outside communication."

"It's fine. The only reason why I was calm throughout that whole ordeal was that the camera kept on working. And I gotta ask, what was with that deep voice?"

"It was my friends' class and I didn't want them to– WOAH!"

Out of nowhere, Nomu flew straight through the dome ceiling and almost crashed into him.

"It looks like All Might took care of business."

"It sure does. Now could you please take me home? I want to rest for a bit while I figure out what I'm gonna do about my injuries."

"Yeah, I saw what happened to your arm, ouch. What are you gonna tell your caretaker?"

"I'll probably wait until she leaves to pick up the kids and I'll make it look like I fell down the steps while she was away."

"Sounds like a plan."

After that, she flew him back home with a little small talk. He told her that the grappling gun and staff were broken and that he needed new pouches. She told him that she already drew up new designs for each item and was ready to start working on them. Soon, they reached his orphanage and after struggling to climb back into his room with one arm, he made it back home.

After placing his mask onto his bed, Izuku rolled up his sleeve to find that his arm was starting to swell up.

"God I hope it's just sprained."

All he wanted to do at that moment was to crawl into bed and sleep all of his aches and pain away.

"What the fuck!?"

Izuku quickly swung his head around to find Miss Azumi standing in his doorway.

Author's Note: Now, I know that you may think that the USJ ending was a bit anticlimactic, (which it is), but you need to remember that in this story Izuku doesn't know about All Might's time limit or that he's getting weaker, so he's more willing to let All Might fight Nomu alone. Also, Bakugo, Kirishima, and Todoroki all helped All Might in the manga/show and I believe it would be the same outcome with or without Izuku's help.
