I DON'T OWN ANYTHING

Touko's pov

The news of the barriers being raised was a shock to me, ' how could touya allow this ?' I was about to fall, but I somehow grab hold of myself. It isn't the first time for me to experience something like that, since the time the barriers were raised, I am feeling like this. I looked up to confirm that I am in front of student council room only, once I confirmed it, I knocked it with all my strength.

But while doing so, I saw that mark again, the symbol in iron red color. It was a flame mark in the center and on its both sides there were two lines, two small near it and two long on the outer side. It was a barrier used on a person by the barrier magic users. I tried to knock a little loudly, but the pain was just too much that I wasn't even able to bring it up to knock. Still, somehow I managed it, took some time but the door was opened and calem was standing in front of me. " Touko," he looked at my hand and said, "So it started, huh ? Come in. " There was no one inside the room, " Everyone went to their lectures, and they would come after a while, touya had some business with the principal," he explained.

" Do you want some coffee ? " he asked, " no, " I said. He nodded and went back to his work that he was doing before I came here. I stared at him, 'calem ' as long as I remember, he is really hard working, he always remains by my side whenever Touya wasn't present. " Say, Touko, has anybody... asked you to go out with them ?" that was sudden, but I didn't understand the complete meaning of what he was asking.

" Go out ?" I asked. He looked at me and again focused his attention on his work, his cheeks became red, and he asked again, " I mean, has anyone proposed to you... on a date " he was blushing, " this is the first time I saw him like this ' " No, not yet..., and I don't think anybody will. " I looked away, nobody wants to sacrifice themselves, ' but cheren is different,... right ?'

I suddenly started feeling like my cheeks burning, ' eh, why did I suddenly thought of him?' " Touko " calem called, " I... actually I wanted to -" " Calem " touya came in and interrupted calem, " oh, Touko " he finally noticed me and waved, but when he saw that I wasn't waving back he understood the meaning, " so it started, huh ?" he came near me and gave a tight hug, " I intentionally asked to keep the normal barriers here, if it gets too much for you, you can just come here and stay" he said.

The barriers of the school were reduced just a few months ago when I got selected in this school, it is because of the nature of the barriers. But it seems the pain has been reduced since I came here. " Touya," he looked at me, " what did grandfather said... you went to see him, right ?" he looked hesitant but still replied, " we talked about the recent events, it put school's reputation in jeopardy and even the great four leaders are debating over the issue related to dark magic users " he explained.

I looked outside, 'yesterday someone attacked me. If this goes out, then father will immediately...' I shook my head ' no, he can't..., right ?' " it is okay, Touko... I will not let anything happen to you, " touya said. There was a knock on the door, " yes, " Touya replied and the door opened but the person wasn't someone from the student council, " I didn't knew that you are also here, Touko " the boy saw me and gave a smirk.

It was none other than Luca, " What are you here for ?" Touya asked in a non chalant way, even he hates him because of the way luca speaks with everyone. " Oh, don't worry, my business here is short " he continued looking at me, and then looking back at Touya, he said, "well, I want to complain about something that happened with me in the morning around four o'clock ." Touya raised a brow, " was it some hooded figure that attacked you ?" he nodded, " yes, I was asleep, so I wasn't aware, but when the man missed the shot and hit my study desk, I saw him running behind the dormitory, but how do you know about that hooded figure ?"

Touya looked at me and said, " yesterday night even Touko got attacked, " he again looked at me ' I am grateful he didn't mentioned cheren ', " is it true ?" " yes, though the time gap is pretty big " I turned to touya and Luca did the same, touya put his index finger on his chin and started thinking, " it might be because the person doesn't want to be suspected, right ?" calem asked, " no, it couldn't be that or why else would they use the same tactic twice " touya reasoned.

" Maybe others were also attacked, and because of that -" " I asked other students but they all weren't attacked " Luca said, interrupting me, ' then what else could be the reason ?' we were attacked, luca was attacked and the attacker might be the same person in both the cases. there was a hard knock on the door and dawn rushed in and shut it with a loud ' thud ' , she looked scared and trembling slightly.

" What happened, dawn !?" Touya asked, she came near him , hold his blazer and put her head on his chest. Touya's face turned red, " d- dawn ?" " Don't say anything, just listen " she looked up at him, " wh- when I was coming back from my lecture, I s- saw a hooded man following me " this caught the attention of everyone present inside the room, " I let him follow, thinking that he might be some creep, following me but, wh- when I was nearing to this building, he ran towards me, grabbed my mouth and hand and took me to the forest area of the school, where... h- he tried to -" "okay, don't say more if you can't " touya said and patted her head, " I somehow saved myself,... bu- but it s- scared me !" she was sobbing.

" That is attacking everyone, one by one," touya said, " dawn, did you see his face ?" she nodded, " a little..., he had raven black hair and was wearing specks " ' huh ! no, it might be someone else ' " what was the color of his specks ?" I asked, ' it must be someone else ' she turned to me and said," red ", ' no !' " Cheren " touya asked, dawn again looked at him and said " yes, I guess that is what his student ID said " in an instant the whole world came crumbling down for me, ' this can't be...'
