Chapter 5:
The Flash:
Planet: Earth
City: Central City
Year: 2022
Day: Thursday
Time: 5:00 p.m.
Years ago, Wally West lost his parents, so he lived with his Uncle Barry and Aunt Iris. Then one day, something killed Barry and Iris was the only suspect. She couldn't explain what happened, no one can, so she took the fall. Since then, Wally has been obsessed with trying to figure out what really happened. All he knows is that Barry suddenly acted strange and killed himself. Wally's now working in the mail room at Faraday Tech. But when he's not working, he's a conspiracy theorist. After hearing about Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquagirl, and even about Batman in Japan, Wally has started thinking that maybe his Uncle Barry was killed by something impossible.
"West," says Miss Waller, the head accountant, "where's my mail?"
"Sorry, Miss Waller," says Wally, "I've been a little distracted..."
"Don't tell me you're thinking of those rumors," asks Miss Waller, "about aliens, amazons, Atlanteans, and... the bat guy who doesn't start with an 'A'."
"I think they're more than just rumors," says Wally.
"It's all nonsense," says Miss Waller, "there is a logical explanation to everything."
"My uncle was killed by something," says Wally.
"Yeah, his wife," says Miss Waller.
"What would you know?" Wally then walks away.
...
Wally then took mail to the lab. "Professor Snart," asks Wally. Professor Snart was there, but he looked like a zombie. "Your... your mail?" No response. "Right... well, see ya." Wally then leaves the room.
...
When Wally was outside the room, it donned on him. "He had the same look Uncle Barry had before..."

Later that night, Wally snuck in the building to have a talk with Professor Snart. He then found the lab.
"It was a little too easy to sneak in here," Wally thought to himself, "we really need better security guards."
...
Wally then enters the lab and saw Professor Snart was working on some kind of experiment. "Woah, this machine could... give someone incredible speed!" Wally then turns around and sees Professor Snart. "Oh... hey... Snart..." Professor Snart then attacks Wally. They started wrestling. Wally then pushes Professor Snart into a cryogenics chamber and then Professor Snart was frozen. "Okay, now I'm glad security stinks. I am so taking this to my grave." Wally then accidently pulls a lever and the machine activates and it zaps Wally.
...
Wally wakes up and finds he's still in the lab and it's morning. "Uh-oh," says Wally, "I gotta get out of here fast!" Wally then runs.
...
Wally then finds himself on the other side of Central City. "Wait... what?" He then thought about the project. "I wonder..." Wally then runs.
...
Wally ran all around Central City. "It's like I've become the Fastest Man Alive! Hey, imagine what I can do with this power... I could find out what really happened to Uncle Barry. First, I'm going to need something."
...
Wally then uses his speed to create a costume. A red suit with a yellow lightning bolt. He became the Flash!
...
"Now... how am I going to find out what happened? The only other witness I got is... frozen... I did not think this through."
Then there was a voice in his head. "Come to the Zoo."
"The Zoo." Wally then runs.
...
Now that Wally's at the zoo. "Welcome." It was a gorilla. "I am Grodd. So, the experiment I had Snart work on is a success. Look at you. A man with incredible speed. You are the impossible. I have been working on this plan for years. One day, a fool named Barry Allen was getting suspicious, so I had to get rid of him. I used my mind control powers to make him end his own life." That got to Wally. "His wife was nice enough to take the blame. Now, my Scarlet Speedster, what are you going to do?"
"This," says Wally as he punches Grodd.
"You've broken free from my control," asks Grodd.
"Got out of it in a Flash," says Wally.
"Then you shall die in a flash," says Grodd.
Grodd attempts to come after Wally, but Wally got out of the way. "Bring it on, Donkey Kong!"
"Fool, you don't know what you're dealing with," says Grodd, "I was once a scientist working on an ESP experiment, but then an accident came and now I have the power to control minds!"
"Okay, but did that experiment turn you to a gorilla too," asks Wally.
"Huhh? No, I'm from a city of intelligent talking apes."
"You're kidding."
"The worlds has only pretended to be normal this entire time," says Grodd, "there are hidden secrets."
Grodd tries to attack Wally again, but Wally kept dodging. Then Wally punches Grodd. "That was for Barry Allen!"
"Wait, why would you care about..."
Wally then punches Grodd again. "That was for Iris West-Allen!"
"You... you're the one who wrestled Snart!"
"And this is because you're forcing me to commit animal cruelty!"
Wally then knocks Grodd out.

Wally wasn't sure what to do. Can he take Grodd to jail? Can they hold a talking gorilla with psychic powers?
"Not bad." Wally turns around. "I'm Linda Park, Agent of A.R.G.U.S. We'll take Monkey Man here."
"And what are you going to do with him?"
"Make him a part of a suicide mission task force." Wally stares. "Kidding. We stopped doing that when we fired Amanda Waller. I hear she's an accountant now. We're just going to take him to our special prison for people like him." Linda then whispers in Wally's ear. "By the way, red is my favorite color."
Wally then smiles as Linda takes Grodd away.

Now Wally West is Central City's newest champion, the Flash!
...
In that cryo chamber, Professor Snart breaks free. He has become a living ice man. "What happened? Why don't I remember anything? Who did this to me?" He then accidently activates a monitor showing Wally West wrestling him and throwing him in the chamber. Snart doesn't know why Wally broke in and did that, but one thing is for sure... "He will pay!"
