Captain Planet and the Planeteers:
Planet: Earth
City: A laboratory on an island, so not a city

Time: 4:00 p.m.
Dr. Slyme was working on his experiments. "If I'm right, this should improve mankind," says Dr. Slyme, "but it's going to take a lot of power, and I may have to dump some chemicals, but with these animals as my test subjects, what could go wrong?"
Planet: Earth
City: Hope Island, so not a city
Year: 2022
Day: Thursday
Time: 4:10 p.m.
Gaia, the Spirit of Earth was watching as people continue to threaten the eco-system. "Dr. Slyme, if only you saw what you were doing," says Gaia, "this is the last straw. Time to summon help!"
Planet: Earth
City: Kinshasa
Year: 2022
Day: Thursday
Time: 5:00 p.m.
Zanele has always cared for Mother Earth. She has tried what she could do for the plants and the animals. Unfortunately, her brother doesn't care as much.
"Why do you waste your time," asks Gazini.
"The environment is important," says Zanele. Then Zanele finds a mysterious ring.

Year: 2022

Time: 6:00 p.m.
Naomi watches as New York uses New Jersey as their toxic dumping ground.
"My Dad's the mayor," says Naomi, "why can't he do more for the city?" Then Naomi finds a strange ring.

Year: 2022

Time: 7:00 p.m.
Tulliano looked at the skies and saw the smog caused by the factories.
"I wish there was something we can do about that factory," says Tulliano, "the skies might get dark before nighttime." Then Tulliano finds a mysterious ring.
Planet: Earth
City: Shantou
Year: 2022

Time: 8:00 p.m.
Yu Xuan was watching TV and saw the oceans getting polluted.
"And I used to enjoy going swimming," says Yu. Then Yu finds a mysterious ring.
Planet: Earth
City: Puerto Vallarta
Year: 2022
Day: Thursday
Time: 9:00 p.m.
Margarita Alcabú heard some poachers bragging about harming animals. "How can they be so heartless," asks Margarita. Then a mysterious ring appears.
Planet: Earth
City: Hope Island, so not a city
Year: 2022
Day: Thursday
Time: 10:00 p.m.
Gaia then uses the rings to summon the five over to Hope Island.
"Welcome Zanele, Naomi, Tulliano, Yu, Margarita," says Gaia.
"Who are you," asks Zanele.
"I am Gaia, the Spirit of Earth," says Gaia.
"Like the Greek Goddess, Gaia," asks Tulliano.
"For a long time, I have seen humans destroying our planet," says Gaia, "but luckily, there are also those who care and that is why I have selected the five of you. Those rings give you the power to protect the Earth."
"What can they do," asks Yu.
"Zanele, your ring has the power of Earth," says Gaia, "Naomi, the power of Fire, Tulliano, the power of Wind, Yu, the power of Water, and Margarita, the power of Heart."
"But what if we don't want this job," asks Naomi.
"If you agree, you can make a difference," says Gaia, "you have seen people who don't care, but you can guide them. Show them how important the world is."
"What do we do," asks Yu.
"Dr. Slyme is a brilliant scientist," says Gaia, "but he's also absent minded. He doesn't realize his experiments are dangerous to the Earth. If you agree to be the Planeteers, you can stop him. And there is another thing. When the situation calls upon it, you can combine your powers. So, what do you say?"

The Planeteers were on their way to Dr. Slyme's lab.
"So, what do we do about this Dr. Slyme," asks Tulliano.
"I'm sorry, what," asks Naomi, who was too busy looking at Tulliano to pay attention.
"We should try to talk to him," says Zanele.
...
But Dr. Slyme was too distracted. He then pressed a button and robots were unleashed.
...
When the Planeteers arrived, the robots came after them.
"Fire," says Naomi as her ring acts as a flamethrower. "I love this thing!"
"Water," says Yu as his ring shoots the robots with water.
"Let's go," says Zanele.
...
The Planeteers then find Dr. Slyme's lab and find Dr. Slyme. They saw him experimenting on animals, using up so much power, and dumping some unwanted chemicals.
"Is this guy trying to win a mad scientist award," asks Naomi.
Dr. Slyme then stops and sees them. "Oh, hello, I am Dr. Ian Slyme."
"More like I am Slime," says Tulliano.
"Is there a problem," asks Dr. Slyme.
"You have to stop this," says Zanele.
"But if the tests are perfect, I can improve humanity," says Dr. Slyme, "you've heard of the Justice League, right? Imagine if everyone on Earth was like them!"
"But you don't understand," says Margarita.
"And I'm too busy to understand," says Dr. Slyme.
"Earth," says Zanele. The ground then starts to shake.
"That's different," says Dr. Slyme.
"Wind," says Tulliano. Then Tulliano's ring creates a tornado that brags Dr. Slyme and moves him.
"I'm starting to think something weird's going on," says Dr. Slyme. Then Dr. Slyme then presses a button, and a large robot comes out. "I guess I activated Lenny."
Lenny then grabs the Planeteers.
"Let our Powers Combine," says Zanele, "Earth!"
"Fire," says Naomi.
"Wind," says Tulliano.
"Water," says Yu.
"Heart," says Margarita.
Then the beams from the rings connect and a light comes and a blue skinned man with green hair, and red jumpsuit comes out. "With your powers combined, I am Captain Planet!"
"Hey, I'm starting to think you kids are the cause," says Dr. Slyme.
Captain Planet then takes on Lenny and takes him apart. "He should be recycled," says Captain Planet, "and as for you, Dr. Slyme, we need to talk."
"I am far too busy..." Captain Planet then uses his heart power to make Dr. Slyme see the light. Dr. Slyme then looks around. "What have I done? I'm a monster! I'm canceling the experiment! The animals should be free! I'm turning everything off...except the lights because I'm afraid of the dark. I didn't even realize I was dumping the chemicals in the water! I could've sworn there was a dump under the lab."
"Everyone gets a chance to see the light," says Captain Planet, "the Power is Yours!" Captain Planet then disappears, and the powers return to the rings.

Dr. Slyme is now dedicating his life to helping the animals.
"It's always good to see someone realize where they went wrong," says Gaia, "wait, there is a disturbance." Gaia then looks and sees Nightwing. "Who is he? He is not of this Earth!"
