Chapter 6:
Dusk Horsetail:
My name is Dusk Horsetail and I'm in Ravencroft. We just got a new girl, Arabella MacNair. I volunteered to show her the ropes. We Ravencroft Girls gotta stick together, right? anyway, since she came from Muggle parents, I told her about Harry Potter and You-Know-Who... for obvious reasons, I avoided his name. I also told her about the Dementors and the staircases and the Chamber of Secrets. Y'know, sometimes I wonder if this school is really that safe. Anyway, we were hitting it off.
...
Then it started getting weird. Arabella started following me around... everywhere. I wonder if James Potter ever had to deal with that. Anyway, she started making me uncomfortable. I decided to talk to the Headmaster.
"Perhaps it's because you're her first friend here," says Professor Dumbledore.
"I guess that makes sense."
"In time, she might learn to make new friends."
"Yeah."
...
It then started to get really weird. One point, she dropped her notes. There were alot of drawings of me. Another point, I caught her writing my name on a tree. She had to stop because it was the Whopping Willow. I don't think it likes the tattoo. And is it my imagination or did she put on some kind of perfume?
...
Professor Dumbledore and I then approached her.
"Miss MacNair," says the Professor, "Dusk has reported interesting things about you."
"Is there a problem," asks Arabella.
"Well, I saw your drawing and you writing on the tree and what is that smell?"
"You don't like it? I could change it to your favorite scent and..."
"Perhaps you could explain what this is about," says Professor Dumbledore.
"Sorry, I guess it's because I've never had a girlfriend before."
I just stared. "And you still don't. I was just trying to be nice to the new girl. I have a boyfriend in fact."
It was a really awkward moment.
"Well... now all of that is explained," says Professor Dumbledore.

Arabella was embarrassed. She really thought we were dating. But don't worry, she did find someone... at least, I hope she likes her. I have a feeling Arabella's gonna need help with her love life.
