I normally don't get art block, but today I feel like I've staring at this blank canvas forever. I still want to be a fashion designer, but I've found painting is calming and a good escape. Only today, no ideas seem to be flowing.
I jump as I hear a rattling sound, and turn to see Cat Noir perched on my balcony. "Hey, Marinette. Mind if I hang out here for awhile?" "Of course, I could use the company. Maybe you can help me." I lead him over to my canvas.
"Any ideas on what to paint?" Cat sighs. "Princess, it would be way to dreary for you to paint lonesomeness." "Oh, Cat." Then idea comes to mind.
"How about you tell me about a spot you'd like to take your special someone, and I'll paint it." Cat looks up and grins. "Well, there is a spot I've always wanted to take M'lady. Its a meadow."
I begin to paint as he talks, dipping my brush in green. I peek at my partner then at my brush. His eyes are so beautiful. "There's all my favorite flowers there, mostly bluebells. I like to lay in the meadow and watch the clouds and flowers dance and sway in the wind."
"It sounds lovely," I murmur. "And one time, I saw a little ladybug swaying on a flower. Bugaboo is to big to fit on a flower, but it made me laugh." I snort, and start to giggle myself. "Oh, and there's this stream that holds crystal clear water, excellent for splash fights."
It takes me some time to finish, but Cat is content to watch me. Finally, I step back. "Do you like it?" I ask, shyly.
"Oh, Princess, its beautiful. I think that your meadow is even more beautiful then mine." I think of my heavy secrets. "I'd love to go, if you'd take me."
"You painted my Place Of Peace, Marinette. But there's another kind of peace right here." I look around. "My balcony?" "No, you." Cat takes my hands. "My loneliness doesn't exist here."
Cat pulls me into a hug, and I let go, letting the tears bottled up inside me flow. Cat rubs my back, letting me cry, and he's there for me.
"Come on, if we want to go to the meadow, we'd better get going."
I nod, thanking Cat silently for his surprise visit. A picture is worth a thousand words, but as Cat said,
I've seemed to a paint a picture of peace for the both of us.
