Ness stood there frozen after she pulled away. He blinked a couple times trying to process what just happened. D-did she just… DID SHE JUST KISS HIM?!

His face was as red as a tomato. He looked away and covered his mouth.

Jelonzo: "Aww, what cuties."

Tina: "Hahaha~"

Ness: "I-I-I… D-did you… I…"

Tina: "WHOO! *Hiccups* JELONZO GIMME MORE DRINKS!"

Jelonzo: "Comin' right up, mon."

Jelonzo served Tina another drink. Ness was still dazed from the kiss that he didn't realize she took another shot.

Tina: "FUCK YEAH!"

Ness: "Huh? Wha?"

Jelonzo: "Want another?"

Tina: "YES!"

Jelonzo: "You got it, mon!"

Ness: "What? No!"

Tina: "Oh Ness, calm down it's all…"

Ness: "Uh, Tina, are you ok? You sort of froze."

She let out a cute laugh then fell off her seat and onto the sand.

Jelonzo: "Holy shit!"

Ness: "Tina!"

Jelonzo: "I think your girlfriend passed out, mon."

Ness: "Ya don't say!"

Jelonzo: "Well shit I already made the drink. Did you want it?"

Ness: "No!"

Jelonzo: "Oh ok."

Ness went over to Tina and used PK Healing on her. She should be cured of alcohol poisoning, but it looks like she's out for the rest of the night.

Jelonzo: "Whoa, you like glowed, mon. How'd you do that?"

Ness: "I healed her."

Jelonzo: "How?"

Ness: "I have psychic abilities."

Jelonzo: "Wha?"

Ness: "Never mind that. Where's the nearest hotel?"

Jelonzo: "See that big building? It's over there."

Ness: "Thanks."

Ness scooped her up in his arms and walked over to the building that Jelonzo pointed at. He saw the sign that said Inktopolis Hotel. He was about to walk inside, but…

?: "Hey, whatcha think you're doin'?"

Ness knew that voice. He turned around and saw Tina's ex boyfriend, Darnell.

Darnell: "I knew somethin' was off about you."

Ness: "What're you talking about?"

Darnell: "Tryin' to date rape my girl, huh?"

Ness: "WHAT?!"

Darnell: "Holdin' an unconscious girl and heading to the hotel looks pretty sus."

Ness: "No! It's not what you think."

Darnell: "It's exactly what I think. I knew I didn't like you for a reason. Now put her down and leave."

Ness: "I'm taking her to the hotel so she can sleep in a bed."

Darnell: "So you could rape her."

Ness: "What! No! I'm not trying to do that!"

Darnell: "You're one of those terrible men that takes advantage of women. I could tell from the moment I looked at you."

Ness: "Are you serious?!"

Darnell: "Hell yeah I am! Now leave my girl alone or else I'm gonna beat the fuck outta ya."

Ness: "Ok, first of all, she's not your girl. Second, I'm stronger than you. We've fought and I won. Third, I'm not trying to rape her."

Darnell: "Yeah, like I'll believe that shit!"

Ness: "Ok, you know what, I'm not dealing with this."

He went inside the hotel and the receptionist greeted him.

Receptionist: "Hi, what can I do for… Is she ok?"

Ness: "No, she passed out from drinking too much. She needs a room to stay."

Receptionist: "Take her to the hospital."

Darnell barged inside and pointed his gun at Ness.

Darnell: "Isn't it obvious? He's tryin' to rape her!"

The receptionist gave the brunet a terrified look.

Ness: "No, it's not what you think. I'm just trying to get her into bed."

Receptionist: "Oh my god."

Ness: "N-no! Not like that! See, I already healed her. She's not suffering from alcohol poisoning. She just needs a place to stay for tonight."

Receptionist: "You healed her?"

Ness: "Yes! I have powers."

Receptionist: "Uh…"

Darnell: "That's bullshit. He can't fuckin' heal. He doesn't heal when he's in the tournaments."

Ness: "I actually do heal when I absorb energy using PSI magnet."

Darnell: "I've only seen you heal yourself."

Ness: "I used my canon powers on her."

Darnell: "Nah, this guy lyin'."

Ness: "I can prove it."

Receptionist: "Prove it because if you can't, I'm calling the cops."

Ness laid Tina on the couch.

Ness: "Thanks for being a volunteer, Darnell."

Darnell: "What the fuck are you talkin' about?"

Ness: "Well I gotta prove it, right?"

Darnell: "Y-yeah."

Ness: "I gotta hurt you, but don't worry, I'll heal you right back up."

Darnell: "Hell no!"

Ness: "What? Can't take it?"

Darnell: "I-I can!"

Ness reeled his arm back for a punch.

Darnell: "W-w-wait! Stop! I-I'll do it."

Darnell took out a pocket knife and sliced the palm of his hand. The receptionist looked at the inkling shocked.

Darnell: "Kch! I did it. Now heal me."

Ness grabbed his hand and healed it using PK Lifeup. The two witnesses saw Darnell's open cut close up like nothing happened.

Darnell: "W-whoa."

Receptionist: "I can guess he can heal."

Ness: "See."

Receptionist: "The weird boy used magic. I'm convinced."

Darnell: "I still don't trust you."

Ness: "If you want, you can come with. I was only going to drop her off and call someone to come get me."

Darnell: "Fine. I'll come with."

Ness picked Tina up and walked over to the receptionist.

Ness: "One king sized room please."

Receptionist: "Mkay, that'll be a hundred and eighty dollars."

Ness: "A hundred and eighty dollars?!"

Receptionist: "Yes."

Ness: *Sighs* "Ok."

He took out his wallet and paid the receptionist. She took it and gave him his change and the keys to the room. He and Darnell walked over to the room and unlocked it. They went inside. Ness gently laid Tina on the bed and tucked her in.

Darnell: "Alright, she's here, now get out."

Ness rolled his eyes. He put the keys on the nightstand and walked over to the door, but he noticed that Darnell wasn't following.

Ness: "Um, aren't you coming with?"

Darnell: "Someone needs to watch her."

Ness: "Dude, what?"

Darnell: "What if she wakes up and falls or somethin'. A true man would stay and watch over the lady."

Ness: "And how can I trust that you're not going to sexually assault her?"

Darnell: "I'm not that type of guy."

Ness: "I'm not either!"

Darnell: "Nah, you give me creep vibes."

Ness: "How so?!"

Darnell: "You're a guy."

Ness: "You're a guy too!"

Darnell: "Yeah, but I'm not gonna do any creepy shit like you."

Ness: *Scoffs* "You know what, no. We're both leaving."

Darnell: "I ain't leavin'."

Ness: "Yes, you are."

Ness went over and grabbed Darnell's arm. The inkling tried to fight back, but Ness was too strong. He forcefully threw Darnell out the door.

Darnell: "The hell, man!"

The door closed behind them. Ness smirked at the inkling and left the hotel. Darnell followed after him.

Darnell: "The fuck is your problem?!"

Ness: "I'm ignoring you."

Darnell: "Who the fuck is gonna watch after Tina?"

Darnell did have a good point. Ness was also worried about her.

Ness: "Hey, do you have Riley's number?"

Darnell: "Yeah."

Ness: "Can you call and tell her about Tina. I think she's the best person to look after her."

Darnell: "No, I am!"

Ness: "You're her ex that clearly still has feelings for her. That right there is suspicious."

Darnell: "I…"

Ness: "Just call Riley. She's her friend and I'm positive she won't do anything to Tina."

Darnell: "F-fine."

Riley: "Hello?"

Darnell: "Tina is in the hotel. She crashed out."

Riley: "Oh god! Is she ok?"

Darnell: "She's fine. But uh, can you look after her? She's in room 203."

Riley: "What's the hotel called?"

Darnell: "Inktopolis Hotel."

Riley: "Kay, I'm on my way."

Beep!

Darnell: "She's on her way."

The two waited in front of the hotel for Riley. When Riley appeared, they both walked up to her.

Ness: "Hey, so-

Riley: "Darnell, what happened with Tina?"

Ness: (Fuck me I guess.)

Darnell: "Tina drank too much."

Riley: "She passed out again?"

Darnell: "Yuh."

Riley: "She's in room 203, right?"

Darnell: "Yuh."

Riley: "Thanks for taking care of her and bringing her to a safe place."

Darnell: "No problem."

Ness: (That was me, but whatever.)

Riley ran inside. Ness felt a little better knowing that Tina's friend was going to look after her. He wished he could've stayed with her, but it's fine. It's better than Darnell watching Tina alone.

He walked away from Darnell and found himself wandering at the festival. He took out his phone and called Leaf.

Ness: "Hey, Leaf."

Leaf: "Oh hi!"

Ness: "Hey, so uh, weird request, but uh, can you come pick me up using your Charizard?"

Leaf: "What? Where are you?"

Ness: "I'm… In a place called Inkling Cove."

Leaf: "I have no idea where that place is."

Ness: "I got here from fairy, but it's closed now."

Leaf: "Hmm, hold on lemme look up where that place is."

Leaf: "Oh! I found it on Smash maps."

Ness: "Cool! So, uh, can you?"

Leaf: "Yeah! I have nothing better to do."

Ness: "Oh thank god. I didn't wanna spend money in a room at the hotel. It's expensive."

Leaf: "Don't worry, I gotchu."

Ness: "Thanks, Leaf. I really appreciate it."

Leaf: "No worries. I'll call you when I get here."

Ness: "Thank you."

Ness continued to walk around while he waited for Leaf's arrival. Now that he's alone, he couldn't stop himself from thinking about earlier. Tina kissed him! She actually kissed him! HIS CRUSH KISSED HIM!

He felt unbelievably happy, but it soon died because he remembered that she kissed him while being drunk. It probably meant nothing to her. Tomorrow she probably won't remember. He frowned at that thought. He got his hopes up for nothing.

Ding!

Ness: "!"

That snapped him out of his depression. He checked his phone and saw that Leaf texted him.

Leaf: Here!

Ness: Where are you?

Leaf: I'm at the beach. The pool seems to be ink. Weiiirrd.

Ness: Ok, I'll meet you there.

Leaf: Ok!

He ran over to where the beach was at. He saw some inklings talking to her and she looked uncomfortable. He quickly went over to them.

Ness: "Hey."

Leaf: "Oh hi, Ness."

Inkling: "Another one!"

Ness: "Haha… Yeah."

Inkling: "You were that human from earlier, right? The one that threw that bean bag into the cornhole."

Leaf: "Wha?"

Ness: "Yup. That was me. Haha…"

Inkling: "You were awesome!"

Ness: "Thank you."

He nervously scratched the back of head and smiled. Leaf blushed a little when he did that.

Ness: "Alright, well, we're going to go ok."

Inkling: "Aww, but I like you humans."

Leaf: "Uh…"

Ness: "And we like you too, but I wanted to show my friend around."

Inkling: "Aww, ok."

The inkling ran off into the ink pool and started swimming.

Leaf: "So ready to go?"

Ness: "Actually did you want to stay a little longer? There's a festival."

He pointed at the direction where the lights were.

Leaf: "You want to show me?"

Ness: "Yeah if that's ok with you. Unless you want to go home. I totally understand."

Leaf: "N-no! I'm just surprised. I thought since there were other inklings around, you'd be with Tina."

Ness: "Oh, I was with her, but she... Passed out."

Leaf: "What!"

Ness: "She drank too much."

Leaf: "I-I see."

Ness: "Don't worry. Her friend is with her…"

Ness seemed a little upset about it.

Leaf: "I'm so sorry."

Dammit, he's bumming her out. He has to turn this around. He doesn't want Leaf getting upset. He needs to get closer to her so he can convince her to get that abortion. The happier he presents himself, the more she'll like him.

Ness" It's ok! I'm feeling better now that you're here."

Leaf: "Really?"

Ness: "Yeah. I'm excited to show you the place."

Leaf: "O-ok!"

Ness: "Come on, follow me."

He led the way to where the festival was located. Leaf's eyes sparkled when she saw how pretty it was.

Leaf: "Wow, Ness, it's beautiful."

Ness: "I know right."

The two walked over to a vendor that was selling food.

Ness: "Hungry?"

Leaf: "Yeah, a little."

Ness paid for both of them and the vendor handed them fried noodles. They walked around some more until they found a table to occupy.

Leaf: "Mmm! This is delicious~"

Ness: "I love fair food."

Leaf: "So, Ness, how's training with Lucky been?"

Ness: "Honestly, he's getting better!"

Leaf: "After the contest, are you thinking of maybe battling?"

Ness: "I thought about it and yeah maybe. I mean I don't really have a teacher, but I can figure things out."

Leaf: "I can teach you!"

Ness: "That would be awesome."

Leaf: "Actually this is perfect because Fate needs a sparring partner."

Ness: "That's so perfect!"

Leaf: "Riiight! The two would be learning how to battle together."

Ness: "Hahaha! I love this."

Leaf: "Are you thinking about getting a whole team?"

Ness: "A whole team? *Snickers* I can barely handle Lucky."

Leaf: "Still doesn't listen to ya, huh?"

Ness: "Not really. Although the treats you gave me have been helping."

Leaf: "Eeveelutions love their treats. What can I say?"

Ness: "Does Fate give you a hard time, too?"

Leaf: "God no. Fate is an angel."

Ness: "Aww, what!"

Leaf: "You sound like you want me to struggle too."

Ness: "I mean kinda."

Leaf gently slapped Ness's shoulder.

Ness: "Ow! S-so abusive."

Leaf: "Oh knock it off."

Ness: *Winces* "My shoulder. Aahh… It hurts."

Leaf: "Keep complaining and I'll actually slap you."

Ness: "Just kidding. Hahaha!"

Leaf: "That's what I thought."

The two finished their food and began walking around again. Leaf saw a vendor that caught her eye. She stopped and stared.

Ness: "Hm? What's up?"

Leaf pointed at the vendor.

Leaf: "Look! It's pretty."

Ness squinted his eyes to get a better look. He said that the vendor was selling sparklers.

Ness: "Oh those are sparklers. They're pretty neat, huh?"

Leaf: "I've never held one."

Ness: "What? Seriously?"

Leaf: "I'm gonna buy it."

She walked over and talked to the employee.

Leaf: "How much is that sparkler?"

Employee: "You have to win it."

Leaf: "Win it?"

The employee pointed at the punch machine that was in front of her.

Employee: "Gotta hit it hard. If you can reach 1000 points, I'll give you a bunch of these sparklers."

Leaf: "That doesn't seem too bad. Ok I'll try it."

She paid for a ticket. She readied herself and punched the machine. She almost reached a thousand but not quite.

Leaf: "Aww, so close…"

Employee: "Shoot. So close. I can still give you one."

Leaf: "Are you sure?"

Employee: "Yeah, a cutie like you deserves a prize."

Leaf: "Ahaha… Ok."

The employee looked her up and down and bit his lip. He was about to hand her a sparkler, but swiped it away at the last second.

Employee: "Say, are you doing anything later?"

Leaf: "I'm probably going home after this."

Employee: "I mean you and I can do something. I'm off past midnight. We could go to the bar and get to know each other. I'll pay for your drinks no problem."

Leaf: "Thanks, but I'm not interested."

Employee: "Oh c'mon now. Give a guy a chance. I've never seen anyone like you before."

Leaf: "Is that so?"

Employee: "Humans aren't common here. I'd like to get to know one."

Leaf: "Thanks, but no."

Employee: "C'mon, I bet you've never been with an inkling before."

Leaf: "You're right, I haven't."

Employee: "It's healthy to experiment."

Leaf: "No, I'm good."

Employee: "Don't you want this sparkler? I could give you a handful of these if we hang out later tonight."

Leaf: "N-

Employee: "Plus free drinks."

Leaf: "Sorry but no."

Employee: "Ah, I guess no sparkler then."

Ness: "No sparkler, huh?"

Employee: "Ah! Where did you come from?"

Ness: "Right over there."

Ness pointed in the direction.

Employee: "Oh."

Ness: "So uh, how many points do I need to get some sparklers?"

The employee looked Ness up and down. What a scrawny looking guy. This kid is trying to impress this cute girl. Well, not on his watch. He's gonna make this kid look like a weakling.

Employee: "You seem like a strong guy. For you, I'd say, the highest score."

Ness looked at the machine. The highest score was 3000.

Leaf: "That's not fair."

Employee: "For men it's a different story, cutie."

Leaf: "But why the highest score?"

Employee: "Look at him. He got this." (Ha! As if.)

Ness paid for a ticket and readied his stance. The employee had a smirk the entire time until Ness punched the machine. He punched it so hard that it got destroyed. A crowd surrounded them and started cheering.

Bystander 1: "YOOO IT'S THAT HUMAN!"

Bystander 2: "HE'S CRAZY!"

Employee: "WHAAAT!"

Leaf looked at Ness shocked. He didn't even break a sweat. He smirked at the employee and said, "can I have my sparklers now?"

The employee gave him a terrified look.

Employee: "What are you?"

Ness: "A customer."

The employee handed him a handful of sparklers and stared off into space still trying to process what happened. Ness gave one to Leaf and together they walked back to the beach side.

Ness used his PSI powers to light the sparklers. She held it in awe.

Leaf: "Whoa~"

Ness: "Pretty cool, huh?"

Leaf: "Yeah you were!"

Ness: "Oh, I meant the sparklers."

Leaf: "No, you were the cool one! Ness, that was amazing! You totally showed him."

He let out a nervous laugh.

Ness: "I didn't mean to show off like that. I just didn't like the way he was talking to you."

Leaf: "Thank you, I appreciate it."

Ness: "That guy was such a creep."

Leaf: "As a woman, you get used to it."

Ness: "That's awful."

Leaf: "It is, but I'm glad you were there to protect me."

She gave him a sweet smile. He looked at her and smiled back.

Leaf: "Alright, this has been fun, but ready to go."

Ness: "Yes please. I'm exhausted."

Leaf: "Go, Charizard!"

She threw out her Charizard and together they flew back to the mansion. When they got there, they both said their goodbyes and split ways.

When Leaf got to her room, she changed to cute pajamas and laid on her bed. She thought about her outing with Ness. The way he punched that machine was so manly. The way he lit the sparkler with his powers was so cool. He's so awkward yet badass. She squealed to herself while she thought about him. She took out her phone and went through his Twitter account. She saw his picture that he took with Lucky. She stared at it with love in her eyes. He's so handsome~
