Chapter 3: Pommy X Playmate

We were able to find an abandoned house in front of an oasis after an hour of walking. Judging from the banged up car in front of it...Looks like an Ant attacked the poor guy that was here. Maybe if he was still alive or just scared off this'd be a great setting for us to relax to, given the sunset and the nice breeze blowing to the side of us. Me and Pitou pulled up our pants and dipped our legs in the water. I had a few other things on my mind but they escaped me when Pitou abruptly laid her head on my shoulder. Her feet are kicking in the water..I know it's warm, but she more than likely is getting some intimate thoughts...About us.

"I guess you've had your fill for fighting today?"

"Hmm. Well I did say I wanted to see that other ability of her's. \w/"

"Hmph. It's like your real eager to die while fighting."

Could the Association get rid of her? They may see it as suspicious that I've been closely with her for some time..Maybe...I really am doomed to be with her..Things are...Just so unclear now..It'd really help if I dealt with this sort of problem before...Right when I was about to think deeper about the situation, Pitou's ear twitches and her pupils shrink. She knew someone was here. At this moment Pitou felt as if her soul was leaving her body, and her perception of time slowed to a crawl. This was one of the few times she herself experienced fear. A dreadful terror. "*hears a loud clock ticking* (Am I...Hearing things? This Nen...!) *looks around* (I dont see anyone...But the power from this Nen...It's much closer to the King's Aura! Where is it from? WHERE! Ф Ф;;;;)" Pitou was stressing to herself, "You sense it too eh...I can already feel this Aura screwing with me..It's almost deafening with how strong it is. Even just feeling a bit of it brush on me is unbearable..(Could the person be using Zetsu? No...You wouldn't feel any presence, and now is the complete opposite..What's going on here...This Aura is giving me a headache..-v-;;;) *looks around with her; turns my head around and my face gets planted in between some big asscheeks* Hmm?! O/O *gets bumped on my back by it in a swift motion; sits up afterwards* W-what's the big ide...Huuuh? O o" I react, "*sways big ass around and wags tail, letting white shirt cover less while bent over on knees and face to the ground, looking at me* Hmmmhmmmm~ You like what you see~? ^w^" said a dog-looking girl, with two big black spots on her eyes, "Heeey! He's Pitou's Plaything! I had him first. Get your own! M" Pitou protests her advances on me, "*stands up* Daaawww~ Guess Pommy's charming butt didnt work too well w" she said, maintaining her playful nature, "Well...I dunno about that, but..(Huh? I suddenly cant sense it anymore..) Didnt you feel a really powerful Aura a second ago, Pom...Pommy?" I asked her, "*swings arms around with big white shirt swaying; giggles* My name's Pommerpulpix, but everyone calls me Pommy! *sniffs around* Hey that Aura was really strong! It's far away now owo" she said, "(She's almost like Pitou in a way..) Umm..How strong are you? Mind keeping watch for us til we make sure whatever it was is really gone?" I asked her, "Oh yeah! Pommy is really strong! Aruff! Pommy is really tough! You'll see! OwO" Pommy assured us, "If you say so...We're trying to relax here. Hopefully it wont be back and we can enjoy the rest of our break" I comment, "Oooo ooo! Pet Pommy! Pet, pet! W" she requested, dashing to my lap and I proceed to pet her head. She took a cute pose by point her closed hands downwards while on her back in my lap. Her dog nature is pretty one-to-one...It's making me a bit uneasy, but I'd be lying if I said it didnt help take my mind off the danger. Cant say the same for Pitou. She gave her piercing glares half the time and Pommy stared back with a smile like nothing was wrong. Both me and Pitou were pretty skeptical of this sudden, friendly character we just met. We chose to entertain this and see what we can gather from her...Then I notice the limb segments that Ants like Pitou have.

"(Hmm.) So you're a Chimera Ant?"

"[Pommerpulpix] Hm? Uh huh. I was raised in the Dark Continent! How nice is that? ^o^"

"[Neferpitou] You came from the Dark Continent?! You should be strong enough for Pitou then! OwO"

"Hold on...Would that mean that the Association has more Ants working for them?"

"[Pommerpulpix] (Dammit..Maybe Im not being careful enough. Honestly, it's uncertain how much I can prolong this act of mine..) Pommy was training in Dark Continent for a month before she came here. Pommy only met the Association guys once so she wouldn't know much of anything. Sowwies~! wo"

"There's a group of those things coming huh...How soon do you think we can kill them, Pom?"

"[Pommerpulpix] With Pommy's help, all she needs is ooone minute! Pommy's really strong, remember? ^W^"

"[Neferpitou] Ooookaaay, but if you die, I wont have a training buddy anymore. -3-"

"[Pommerpulpix] But Pommy with her Nen has loads of power! You'll seeee~ owo"

"Hmm. I guess that's a way to see if you aren't lying. Of course, we're not trying to die either" I reply, getting up with them and fixing up my clothes with Pitou. I didnt ask about what happened here at this house that was obviously attacked...But I also couldnt help but have this thought...What would a liar do to try draw attention from himself in this situation? To hide the fact that an attack was planned here...Sounds like she fits the bill, given how this just played out. I'll make sure to bring that up later. Only thing is that...She presumably was training in the Dark Continent, and that intense Aura we felt would come from it. If she's lying, this is a big slip up. But if that was on purpose...Alright, I'll come back to all that later. Let's see what she's got.

Pom was leading the way to where these creatures are. She had me holding the chain around her neck like a leash, pulling me ahead like a grown dog to his owner. She seems really sure of herself with this one. Cant say Im starting to not have faith in her. Makes me wonder how many of these things she's killed before..If you ask me that makes her that much more dangerous. Before I could think about it further, my pelvis bumps into that big rear of her's, stopping me right when she stops. "H-huh? Are they here?" I asked, "You dont see it? At all?" she asked, "What's there to see? How are you even seeing them?" I asked back, "Sound Locator. Poomy's eardrums are going wild!" Pommy began explaining, "(Sound Locator?...From her ears? o o)" I recall, "Pommy's body is a walking vibrator! .v." she also said, "(Dont...Say it like that /_/)" I kept to myself, "Ears, paws in Pommy's feet, nails, heart, you name it! Pommy has many ways to travel sounds to her brain, and can make out just about anything! :3 ARF! *sends out an oral soundwave and sees it bounce back* There! It's camo should be coming off now!" she explained. So they're camouflaged? Let's see...It took a bit of time, but the four Dark Continent creatures were becoming more visible by the second. What the...Three of them just look humanoids but monstrous..They're red skin and ogre-like but a freakish smile. That's alot of hair on their necks..Then they just had to be 20ft tall. The other one's really big too. "(Wait..'It was really long-legged. About 30ft tall. A really long tongue, hard shell and was practically covered in big strands of fur'.) It's the one that attacked Bask's house. *sees it emitting smoke from it's layers of fur* That must be how it was masking them. It masks their Auras too for a Zetsu-esque effect" I was piecing together, "See that, Pommy? I have a really smart Plaything, huh? w" Pitou comments, "Not now, Pitou. *sees them walking forward in a low, alert stance* They're comin'..We gotta figure out how to kill 'em and fast" I said more seriously, "Leave it to Pommy! They wont know what hit 'em! Soooound...! *sucks in some air* SPIRAL! AARF!" Pommy loudly shouts, closing our ears upon launch as we see a big, dark red spinning wave of sound come from her mouth, cutting the ground in it's path before passing through the creatures as they tried to dodge it, but end up getting many cuts on their bodies, with one of them even exploding into bloody pieces. Whoa! That was just one move she could do too! "*notices the humanoid creature dash in from the left* (Damn Dweller Beast..You're barely any better than a Hybrid Ant) *turns around to him, seeing dozens of wires coming out of his body, vibrates teeth, sharpening them and enlarging them as energy strings come out of mouth* Sound Crunch!" Pom calls out, biting through the creature's shoulder at incredible speeds, making his arm fly off, and she zips across him again, sending his legs flying with another swift bite, getting rid of his threads with her own Nen strings by touch, disintegrating them. "(Amazing! Those must be Sound Strings or something. They seem really dangerous to anything it contacts..) *sees the creature shoot an explosive wave at her* ! Damn. Watch out, Pom! Fake Fis-!" I was saying, "*turns to him* Sound Magnum. woof" she said, shooting a narrow bullet of sound at him, going through the wave he generated and through his body before exploding in a gory fashion across the ground. Holy-! J-just how powerful was that shot?! Wait, I think I get it though! Her barks...They're actually used for her Nen attacks..No wonder she really plays up her dog persona! I look over to Pitou and she had a huge excited smile on her face. Before she could turn back to me, the last humanoid creature pops out from under me out of the ground, grabbing me with it's muscular forearms, and started squeezing me tightly. "GGGGYYUUUH! (It's grip...! I cant even move like this!)" I thought, quickly having breathing issues, "Wait there, Plaything! *dashes in, ducks under it's kick, which blew a hurricane of air that traveled away quickly* (Wowie! Good thing I dodged that one!) *crushes claws into his leg, pinning it into the ground and invades Nen threads in him, immobilizing him; Sees the Sound Strings around his neck and shoulders* Hmm? Hey thanks, Pommy! ^w^" Pitou said, "Anytime! (Now then...) Rrrrraaaaaawwwlll! *howls into hands, getting alot of vibration into them, with tingles of sound sparking out of them as they shake* Rumbling Claws!" she also called out, getting behind the opposition holding me and does a simultaneous downward claw strike on his back with Pitou's upward claw swipe, fantastically destroying his body this way as I fell forward out of his grasp. "*cough cough* G-good job you two..Glad y'all can work well together. *gets stabbed in the arm by a shot of thorns* GAAAH! Dammit! *pulls them out, seeing them quickly loosen up, falling through my fingers* (Hair..? These're hair spikes?) Where'd that come from?!" I react. A visible huge arm flops above me, slamming downward on me, "(This Ant Eater type..I dont think so!) ARF! *shoots a strong sound wave at him, pushing him away, leaving a huge red circular imprint on his stomach* For you...I need you guys to get away from me...NOW! ⓪.⓪" Pom told us, "(Uh oh..Given how powerful she's been..This really wont be good) Run for it, Pitou!" I told her before warping away with Fake Fissure. The giant Ant-Eater like creature opens and reveals it's huge vertical mouth that gapped with four rows of teeth, then had a pyramid object erect out of, charging alot of electricity at the tip of it, with dead bodies aiding the charge rate from it's mouth-stomach. "Try as much as you want...It's too late for you...Sound...Rupturing..! *looks up, seeing a static ball about to rupture above him* (Good..My Sound Thunder is about done..)*sucks in some air, rumbles the ground from vibrations in throat and paws in the feet* BLAAASTEER! GRRR! ROOOOOAAAWWW!" Pom loudly shouts at the top of her lungs, shooting a huge, roaring energy beam made of sound, causing an earthquake beneath their feet, taking away power from the creature's electric shot from imbalance in his legs. He was about to tumble but regains his footing enough to smack away the Sound Thunder from above but was opened to taking the powerful sound beam launched at him, his limbs were flying off upon impact, sending him flying into the air as he was getting obliterated, atom by atom. "*sees the beam carry on for a very long stretch of land from the air* What the hell...That..Did it just travel half a mile...? (Unbelievable..) *starts falling and barely sees her look winded* She has a ton of stamina if that didnt tire her out...Just how much Aura does she have..." I wondered to myself before being caught by Pitou, landing with her as I was held in her arms.

"Damn..I couldnt really do much, huh?"

"[Pommerpulpix] Pommy told you! She had it all under controlled!"

"[Neferpitou] You use alot of sound Nen. They're much faster than normal sound. o3o"

"[Pommerpulpix] Yup! Pommy can do all sorts of things with it!"

"You mentioned about making out just about anything with your body..How far can you hear exactly?"

"[Pommerpulpix] Hmmmm for about 10 miles."

By the time she ran, I was already at this planned destination Pom had in mind for us. I cant see anything...I feel my fingers around and the walls were touched after a few seconds. It's small in here..But why cant I feel for her? She doesnt seem to be here.. "Oh, so you're up owo" I heard from behind me, followed by an opened door, surprising me. Those must've caused alot of deaths not related to being not attacked, but yknow...There are Exorcist Hunters out there that can help with that. We'll have to find some of the strongest ones to have any chance of breaking your curse.." Im coming!" I shouted, running to the girl's aid. "*tries to send bolts of lightning to the 32ft dragon-like creature's way, but it bounces off of it's scales before flopping it's feathery wings while roaring* (Dammit! What kind of monster is this thing? I've never see it before!)" said the boy, "Try to wound it with your claws! I'll follow up!" said the little girl, "Fine. I'll give it a shot" he replied, morphing his fingers into sharper ones with sharp nails before zipping to the enemy with a streak of lightning, "(Killua...This girl seems to be a friend of his...I have to stay hidden for this) *sees me running close to them* (Good, Plaything's just in time. I'll let him deal with this)" Pitou thought to herself while staying concealed in the treetops, watching everything play out. "*strikes a claw into the thing's scaly skin, but gets stopped by it's layer of Ken* ! (It even knows high levels of Nen! Not good!)" Killua reacts, "Get away from it! Let me-!" the little girl shouts, "*sees it's two tails try to slam together on Killua but stops them with my hands held out both ways with my Ko covering my arms* You guys needed some help? Ghnn!" I then grunted, "*sees my arms bleeding* Nice use of Ko, but you dont look too in shape to fight!" the girl said, "Heeeeee..P-please dont let it hurt me..n" the girl with horse legs whimpered, "*turns to her* I got this..It'll just..Take a bit of extra time is all. (I had a feeling. She's a Chimera Ant too. I thought there were alot being held captive. Maybe she's a runaway?) *turns back to the monstrous dragon-like enemy as it blows big gusts of wind our way with it's wings while raoring* Ok guys! I just need to land a few blows and it's dead" I told them, "Hmph. I got an idea" Killua replied. He proceeds to wrap his yo-yos around the creature's legs, destroying a few nearby trees when they initially swung around, and the circular end of the dangerous toy dug into the ground. Despite how secure it looked, the creature was still able to lunge at me for a big bite which I was able to dodge away from. "Allow me...!" the little girl upraored before getting incredibly muscular and taller before leaping, and landed a powerful punch down on it's back, hearing a few bones cracking, then landed another to it's cheek upon touching the ground. "*sees it turning to her, reactiving Ken; charges Death Core into a fist* (I didnt see it coming that she'd just hulk out like that...But I'll take it!) *uses Fake Fissure to warp to it* Death Core! *gives a strong punch to the other cheek to it's surprise, but gets bitten on the back by a stray extended mouth filled with sharp teeth* Gyaaah! OV *looks back, seeing it coming from it's back, along with 5 other fleshy mouths coming this way* (In that case...!) *manifests Drone Dome from my head, having it get in the way of it's biting attacks as the mouths push it into my head from each bite* Death Core!" I shouted, punching the fleshy, red stems of the mouths, blowing holes in them upon impact. Then I did another across the thing's face, which I could tell that rattle it's brain. I had Ryu on my fist that time. We backed away as it was coughing up blood for a moment then coughed up a big organ, looking almost like a heart as it pulsates in it's mouth, choking the creature this way. "*hears it gagging* Let's put it out of it's misery" Killua said, lifting a finger and shoots a bolt of lightning out of it, making the organ explode into gory chunks upon impact, killing it this way as it flops it's head on the ground. "Umm g-good call..(It shouldn't have survived that long against my Death Core strikes. Are some Dark Continent creatures better at handling it than others?) You guys ok?" I asked them, "Yeah we'll be fine. *flips the big thing over and unwraps yo-yos from it's legs* We better go before more show up" Killua said, "W-well wait I gotta ask you about a few things" I brought up, "Hmm? What is it?" he replied, "You dont know me but I know some things about you..Im trying to look for Gon. Im trying to find him for this guy named Leorio" I said, "Gon!? Leorio?! H-how do you know about them?! O O" he reacts, "Im an Ex-Hunter. I do Hunter work here and there for some extra money. Only got one small office I answer to but they still get a good amount of info from Hunter Association. Leorio happened to show up one day and put in that request for me. As for you, I think you should know how the Zoldyck family name gets around" I told him, "(Hmph. Fair enough I guess) Ok I get where you're coming from. So whatcha wanna ask?" he says, "Do you know anything about where Gon is? *sees his head shake side to side* (Damn..Thought he'd know for sure..) *hears very distant falling trees* (Oh no! Running out of time already?! I still got more to task! UMMM...v) What's the little lady's name?" I asked, "Her name's Biscuit. She helped train me and Gon a while back and now I decided to have her tag along with me to clear out those really tough creatures. I would've asked this other friend I know but he's busy right now" Killua informed, "(Hmm...That raises a few more questions...)" Besides, he's handsome enough, and was pretty helpful there ^u^" she told him. O-old bones now?! H-how old is she?! I was ready to bite the bullet if she was like 10 or something but not this! Ooooow...What'd I get myself into...I look back at Pitou and was given a fierce, low-brow stare..Yeah...Quite a few things got in the way of our plans here. At least I'll get some more answers like this. I look around a bit for that Chimera Ant girl and dont see her. Looks like she ran off. I'll make sure to ask about what business they have with her...Figure he has bad blood with her kind by now..On that note, I was on my way to a hotel at Yorknew City. Judging from this spot, we're about 30 miles from there. It's been ages since I've been there. One of my friends I know likes dropping by in that area here and there. Who knows, maybe I can find him...Of course, since Pitou always knows where I am, she'll keep close..I'll see what I can do about keeping her a secret.
