Rin Itoshi had never been one to dwell on others. His life had always been single-minded-football, competition, and the drive to crush anyone in his path. That's how he functioned. But now, things were different.

Because now, there was Nagi Seishiro.

Rin never expected to become so attached to someone who appeared as lazy and detached as Nagi. But Nagi's quiet intensity-the way he instinctively gravitated toward Rin-was addictive. For someone so lazy, Nagi managed to slip beneath his skin without effort, infiltrating the parts of Rin's life that had once been closed off to everyone. And the more time they spent together, the more Rin realized just how deep his hold over Nagi went which in turn gave Nagi a hold over him.

It was fascinating, watching how effortlessly Nagi sought out his touch, leaning into him without even realizing it. Rin didn't have to do anything, and yet Nagi's body responded to him like it was second nature. Like Rin was his natural center of gravity. And Rin couldn't help but let him. It was fascinating, intoxicating even, how easily Nagi fit into his life.

That morning, they were in the training room, the rest of blue lock already gone to do other things, leaving just the two of them. Nagi was sprawled lazily on one of the benches, his head resting against Rin's leg. It wasn't anything unusual-Nagi often took to draping himself over Rin like a cat, as if it was the most natural thing in the world.

And Rin loved it.

He loved how Nagi never seemed to notice the way he sought out his touch, how his fingers would always find their way to Rin's arm or how he would unconsciously lean into his shoulder whenever they were together. It was instinctive-pure and unfiltered. And Rin reveled in the knowledge that Nagi didn't even realize how much Rin had ruined him for anyone else. Nagi may not recognize it yet, as unfamiliar to recognizing his own emotions as he is, but Rin knows that Nagi's feeling for him have blossomed past friendship as well. He just doesn't know it yet. Rin can be patient though.

Nagi tilted his head up, his silver hair brushing against Rin's knee. "Rin... I'm hungry."

Rin smirked down at him, brushing a hand through Nagi's soft hair. "You're always hungry."

"Yeah, but I want food now," Nagi said, his voice soft and slightly whiny, as if he expected Rin to fix it for him, and his lips slightly pouting in a way that made Rin want to bite at them. Rin's heart beat a little faster as he held himself back from doing just that.

Of course, Nagi didn't realize the effect he had. Nagi was too pure, too oblivious to the intensity brewing beneath Rin's calm exterior. Nagi's innocence was dangerous-his naïveté even more so. Nagi didn't realize how vulnerable he made himself around Rin, how completely Rin could control him if he wanted to.

Rin can understand why Mikage is so jealous and devastated of what he lost. Nagi has a unique way of making you feel needed. After a lifetime of living in his brother's shadow and being discarded so easily by said brother who had once been his idol, Nagi offered Rin a sense of importance that healed aching wounds in Rin's heart that Rin had been carrying so long, he'd thought they'd bleed forever.

"Hungry, huh?" Rin murmured, deciding to tease him a little. His fingertips traced the curve of Nagi's jaw. "What if I said you have to wait?"

Nagi's pout deepened, and Rin slid his thumb over the offending lower lip mocking him. It was soft.

"What if I told you I'm not done with you yet?" Rin continued, his fingers trailing down to tilt his chin so their eyes met. "What l'Il give you what you need when I feel like it?"

Nagi blinked up at him, his expression still soft and devoid of any resistance. "Okay," Nagi replied, his tone laced with that usual indifference, even as he nuzzled closer to Rin's leg. There was no doubt, no question in his eyes that Rin would take care of him eventually. And that knowledge sent a thrill through Rin that was hard to ignore. "But can I get food after?"

Rin chuckled. He loved how simple things were in Nagi's mind. Nagi didn't realize the power he offered Rin over him-or maybe he didn't care. Either way, it only fueled Rin's obsession.

He shifted, pulling Nagi up into a sitting position, their faces now inches apart.

Rin's hand slid from Nagi's chin to the back of his neck, gripping him firmly but not too harshly. Nagi's breath hitched, and Rin could feel the way Nagi's body relaxed, almost melting into his hold.

"You don't even realize, do you?" Rin said quietly, his voice low and rough. He's never kissed anyone before, never been interested in stuff like that, until now.

Nagi blinked at him, oblivious but curious. It made Rin want to laugh--how was Nagi so completely unaware of what was happening between them? Nagi blinked again, his expression still soft and blank. "What do you mean?"

Rin's lips twitched, part of him amused and part of him frustrated by Nagi's obliviousness. "You can't even see it. You're always leaning on me, always touching me. You don't even think about it, you just do it."

"I like being with you," Nagi said simply, as if that explained everything. And maybe it did. For Nagi, it was as easy as that. He liked Rin. He liked being close to him. There was no need for anything more complicated than that. "It's comfortable."

Rin's fingers held the back of Nagi's neck tighter, pulling him closer until their foreheads were almost touching.

"Comfortable?" he echoed, his voice low as if telling a secret. "Good. Then, I'm going to make sure you're so comfortable with me that you won't even think about anyone else. Ever."

Nagi's eyes sparkled at the promise, and a look of relief passed through his gaze. But it was gone just as quickly, replaced by that quiet trust Nagi always had when he looked at him.

"You're already mine," Rin whispered, his voice soft, almost intimate. His heartbeat picked up as he continued. "And I've been thinking. I don't want you to be with anyone else like this. Only me."

Nagi blinked at him, a light pink setting on his cheeks, before he ducks down to hide his face in Rin's chest. "I don't want anyone else," Nagi murmured, his voice muffled against Rin's chest. "I just... like being with you."

Rin's heart skipped a beat at how naturally Nagi felt against him, how willing he was to accept Rin's words without hesitation. Rin's fingers moved to tangle themselves in Nagi's hair, his other arm wrapping around his waist, pulling him impossibly closer. "Good," Rin stated, encouraged by Nagi's easy response. "Because I'm not letting you go. Ever."

Nagi didn't say anything, but the way his body relaxed completely against Rin's told him everything he needed to know. Rin could feel Nagi's steady breaths, the warmth of his body pressed against his own. He was so trusting, so needy for Rin's attention that it made Rin's head spin.

The moment felt charged and intimate between them, leading Rin to slowly slide the hand behind his neck under his chin and guided Nagi's face to look up. Rin soaked in the almost shy, adorable expression, then planted a soft, tender kiss on his lips as he relished the sweetness of their first kiss as Nagi instinctively pressed back, his lips seeking Rin's like he had been waiting for this all along.

Their first kiss. As Rin pulls away, he's hit with a flash of desire when a tiny, barely audible whine slips from Nagi's lips as he instinctively chases after Rin's lips for another shy, sweet kiss. Rin was just as eager to oblige. This one a little longer and a little more exploring as their mouths continue to taste and move against each other curiously. Rin thinks kissing Nagi is his new favorite hobby, next to football, already growing addicted to the feeling. He pulls back when they both need to breathe and he uses his thumb to affectionately stroke Nagi's cheekbone. Nagi leans into it sweetly, before resting his face lightly against Rin's chest again.

Rin sighed contently as the moment of bliss to washed over him and allowed his fingers tangle themselves in soft, white hair.

He kissed the top of Nagi's head. "Let's get some food in you," Rin teased fondly. "Gotta take good care of my lazy cat."

And he would. Rin had already started to weave himself into Nagi's life, but he wasn't done. He was going to devour every last piece of Nagi until he became someone that could never be replaced in Nagi's heart. There would be no room left for him to need anyone else the way he needs him. He could have friends of course but they'd be far below the level of importance Rin would hold. No one else.

Just Rin.

As they walked toward the cafeteria, Nagi trailing just behind Rin like a sleepy shadow, both were content to bask in their own thoughts.
