NEW CHAPTERS!
- If you've passed by here because of an email alert, it's because chapter 47 is new! It takes place between the wedding preparation chapter and the actual wedding and allows us to focus a little more on the argument with Tricia and Eve's relationship with the Earl, Lulubell and high society in general.
- Half of the next chapter (the wedding) 48 is also brand new, the chapter will be updated on 15/10/2024.
- If you haven't stopped by in a year, chapter 42 is new too! It's a bonus chapter to take a breather between tuberculosis and magic.
About the story :
1) The first 48 chapters have been corrected. This fic has gone from 262k to 300k words! I've tried to keep as much of the original story as possible, and I've mostly eliminated spelling mistakes. I did change some of the dialogue where the characters were a bit OOC in the first few chapters, and above all I added a maaaaax of details that I wanted to put in when writing the story, but had never found where to put them. Now it's done!
2) Chapter 2 of 'Nuancer le tout', the side-fic where we follow the story from the Noahs' point of view, was published on 05/10/2022! Chapter 3, covering the end of the story, should be published on 25/10/2024.
3) This fic is currently being cross-posted to AO3! Why? Great drawings, mine and those of the readers, to accompany the story! You can also see them on the NLN-fanfic tag on tumblr (or directly on my profile, Ennael) If you want to take part, you can draw a picture of a moment you liked in the story and then post it on tumblr (tagging me with the NLN-fanfic ashtag) or send it to me by email ( ennael. whistler gmail. com) and I'll put it directly in the chapter! Don't forget to send me which nickname you want me to credit you with :)
About the sequel :
Regarding the sequel, Shading the White, with the exorcists, I now know how I want to end it, which was the main thing stopping me from writing it. However, I have more and more projects and therefore less and less time to devote to it, and as I don't like leaving a project unfinished, I don't think I'll be starting it just yet.
Chapter correction progress: Everything's planned and I'm up to chapter 50!
Current status: I've started writing again! I'm focusing on a personal novel, various one-shots and WINGS.
