An hour after their discussion, Josh got back to Ethan's group.
"A few of the teens want to stay and help your people, other than that you have about twenty other kids who are willing to go with you including myself," said Josh.
"I can't just let the little ones go, I've been the leader of this group for a while now after all," he said.
"That's fine with us," said Ethan.
"We'll leave this here so we can always track the island," said Searcher as he stuck a device into the ground.
"Now you all should go get your stuff ready for us to leave," said Jess.
"Right," said everyone before heading off.
"Do you really think it's a good idea to bring them back?" asked Diazo as he pulled Ethan off to the side in order to talk to him in private.
"We don't really know anything about them," he said.
"I get you wanting to be careful, but we can't just leave them here alone, they are going to die at this rate," said Etahn as he took hold of his boyfriend's hand.
"You're right, we have to help them," said Diazo. Suddenly, he felt a tug on the hem of his shirt.
"Oh, hi," he said after realizing it was a five-year-old girl tugging on his shirt.
"What is your home like, is it a nice place?" asked the girl.
"It's a great place with lots of food and fun creatures to play with," said Diazo as he looked over at Splat playing with some other small kids.
"Will we get warm beds?" asked the girl.
"What's your name?" asked Ethan while kneeling down to be eye level with her.
"I'm Katherine," said the girl.
"Well Katherine, we'll make sure you all get nice warm beds and whatever else you need," said Ethan with a smile.
