Earlier On U.A.'s Campus...
Ladybug was shocked to see Chloe staying behind. She felt herself fall to the ground once Iida and Mr. Aizawa let go of her. Her yo-yo laid right in front of her as she looked back at the spot where the portal was. Chloe's smiling and what she said kept coming up as she looked back at it.
"Get out of here, Marinette..."
It felt weird to hear say her name when she was in her hero costume. Something about it made it more personal and it also made her realize that she was trying to prove something to her. And to herself.
"Chloe. She's just ran in there without a warning," Yaoyorozu said to them.
"We need to go after her! We can't leave everyone behind like that, especially Bakugo and Uraraka!" Iida cried out.
"I want to just as much as everyone else, but we can't," Mr. Aizawa said to them, "Cat Noir is poisoned, Jirou is badly injured and your engines are clogged. We need to gather up and get everyone healed up."
"Mr. Aizawa, we can't just--"
"Iida. He's right."
Everyone turned towards Ladybug as she stood up with a shaky hand holding her yo-yo. They could all tell that she was still upset about Chloe running off like that. She turned around, but didn't look at anyone except Cat Noir. Mr. Aizawa held Cat Noir in his arms and all she could do was stare at his bite mark. He had the same bite mark as Midoriya, but something about it bothered her even more.
"We need to take care of our teammates," Ladybug said.
They all headed towards Class 1-A's dormitory, worried about what Midoriya's mom and AllMight might think. All Ladybug could do was look at Cat Noir's bite mark. Ladybug could feel something off with her Miraculous, and she could tell it was happening with Cat Noir's Miraculous as well. It felt as if One for All wasn't even around them. She could feel it, but just barely. She was really hoping that it would get stronger the next time she uses it, but something told her that this was different.
As they headed inside, Ladybug heard Cat Noir's Miraculous beeping. Ladybug's eyes widened in shock, realizing that he had never used his superpower. They all headed inside of the dormitory and Cat Noir immediately detransformed in front of everyone that was left behind, including Melissa. They all ran towards him, noticing a couple of them hurt pretty bad.
"You're here! What happened? Where's Young Midoriya?" AllMight asked them.
They settled Adrien and Jirou down onto the couches in the common room. Even Iida had to sit down to take care of his engines. Adrien pressed his hand onto his bite mark since it hurt so much. Even Jirou was crying from her injury, but no one could tell what was wrong with her since she was trying to hide it.
"We found Chrysalis," Ladybug explained, "She got us. Izuku was there, but we couldn't get him out of there. Katsuki and Ochaco got caught, and... Queen Bee stayed behind to slow her down. We had to get out of there since Cat Noir got poisoned by her."
AllMight's eyes widened as he noticed Midoriya's mom tear up from not being able to save her son. He held her hand for support, which seemed to help her a little.
Mr. Aizawa tried to get Adrien to move his hand, but he wasn't even listening to him. Ladybug walked up to him and kneeled down to him.
"Adrien, I know that it hurts. Can you move your hand so we can treat it?" Ladybug asked him with a shaky smile.
Adrien gave her subtle nod and moved it away. Ladybug move his jacket away from the bite mark to see it looking much worse than she thought. It was much more purple and spread out than Midoriya's. It even pulsed a little around the bite, making her stomach feel really nauseous.
Everyone looked at it, worried about him. Even Jirou was really worried about him as she got closer to him.
"Adrien, you shouldn't have run at her like that back there!" Jirou cried out.
"I-I couldn't help it... Y-You were hurt..." Adrien said back through the pain, "Ky-Kyouka... Y-Your quirk..."
Adrien reached out for her headphones, and she flinched away from him. They looked at her, confused as to why she was doing that. Jirou let him take off her headphones, and everyone cried out in shock to see one of her earphone jacks gone. Even Ashido who was there didn't see this happen and was crying seeing her friend hurt so badly.
"Ji-Jirou... When did this happen?!" Iida cried out.
"It happened when I got caught. Chrysalis shot acid at me. I guess it did enough damage to make it fall off," Jirou said to them through tears.
"If only I had been faster," Kaminari said to her as he clenched his fists, "Then maybe... This wouldn't have happened..."
Adrien noticed how hurt Kaminari looked as he sat close to her. He could that he really cared about her and wanted to help her. Jirou looked at Kaminari, and Adrien knew that she liked him back. Just by the way she looked at him, it reminded him of when Adrien and her were together. He was happy to see Jirou starting to like someone else, it helped him relax a little.
"This is not your fault, Kaminari," Jirou said to him, "I got caught. Chrysalis is a tough opponent, and she got me. But I'm okay."
Adrien noticed her leaning closer to him as her hand got closer to his. If she really did find someone else, he wanted to be happy for her. Besides, he was with Marinette now. But then he felt sudden pain shoot through his shoulder, and he instinctively gripped it. Ladybug held his hand, not sure what to do for him.
"Adrien, I might have to heal you," Ladybug said to him.
Adrien's eyes widened, not sure how well this might turn out. He sat up, a little hesitant to do this.
"L-Ladybug... I can't let you do that! Just go get Recovery Girl. I'm sure she can--"
Adrien gripped onto his shoulder again, feeling really hot and sweaty from the pain. He laid back on the couch, feeling it get much worse.
"I don't think we can get to her in time. Tenya's engines are clogged," Ladybug said back, "Please, let me help you."
Ladybug noticed that he was hesitating, and she wasn't understand why. Then she looked down at his Miraculous and then spotted his other ring. Something about it made her realize that he was nervous what this poison might be doing to him. Ladybug then started to get nervous and remembered that he was a sentimonster. She couldn't tell if any of her healing was going to help him at all. She'd never done it on her partner before.
"If this is about you being a... sentimonster, I promise that I'll be careful," Ladybug said to him, "I don't know exactly how this works on you, but please let me try."
"Sentimonster? What's that?" Kaminari asked them.
"It's not important at the moment right now," Mr. Aizawa said as he glared at Kaminari, causing him to flinch.
Ladybug reached out to Adrien, and he smiled at her through the pain. He held her hand, making Ladybug smile at him.
"Okay... You can heal me... J-Just... please be careful with the ring," Adrien said to her.
"Of course Adrien," Ladybug said back.
"I'll go ahead and get Recovery Girl anyway," Mr. Aizawa said to them, "She needs to take care of Jirou and Iida."
Mr. Aizawa headed out and called everyone else to come to the dormitory. The plan failed, and they had to heal a couple of their classmates.
Ladybug let Adrien lay down as everyone let Ladybug do her thing. Jirou sat on one of the other couches to let him lay down.
"Okay Adrien. Close your eyes and relax, I've got you," Ladybug said with a relaxed tone.
Adrien looked a little nervous and closed his eyes. He tried to relax, but Ladybug could tell that he was still nervous. She placed her hand on top of his forehead and chest. She focused on healing him and noticed that his energy was very different from all the others. It wasn't easy to grab onto him like everyone else that she's healed. He was kind of slippery and kept getting away from her. It felt very light and was barely there at all.
Ladybug tried to even focus on One for All, but with her barely having spark she couldn't quite focus on it. She went back to Adrien and then noticed that she was back in Paris. She was standing in his room, but it looked a little boring and more greyish. As she looked around, she couldn't find Adrien anywhere.
"Adrien?"
In the corner of her eye, she saw something floating towards her. It was a blue feather. It touched her nose, making her nose tickle. She tried to grab it, but it got away from her. She went to grab her yo-yo, but it wasn't there. She looked frantically around for it and looked at it again. Something about it felt a little familiar. The more she looked at it, she started to notice it was the only thing in here that had any sort of color.
Ladybug's eyes widened, realizing that the feather had to be Adrien.
She tried to use her wings to fly towards it, but One for All was still barely there. She had to get it somehow, so she tried to jump up to grab it.
"Come on Adrien. Let me heal you!" Ladybug said to him as she jumped up and down to grab it.
She could barely reach it, but then noticed that it was starting to get closer to her as she talked to it.
"Adrien. I really care about you, let me help you."
The feather floated closer to her, but just barely.
"I know that things have been weird lately, especially with your father. I'm here to help you through it. As Marinette and as Ladybug."
The feather got much closer to her, and she could almost touch it.
"Adrien, that night when you told me that you love me... I really meant it when I said that I love you back."
The feather floated down to her, and she held it close. She held it close to her heart, feeling its warmth close to her. As she felt it warm up, the colors around his room started to come into it. She smiled, feeling what Adrien was feeling when she was around him. It felt warm and comforting, just like when she was around him. Something about it felt like she was hugging him right then and there.
"I've got you Adrien," Ladybug whispered to him, "I won't let you go."
A pure white glow came over the feather, and Adrien ending up appearing right in front her. She was hugging him tightly, and he hugged her back. Something about it just felt so relaxing and warm that she didn't want him to let go.
"Ladybug... Marinette... Thank you..." Adrien whispered to her.
Ladybug let go of him and never noticed that he even had the injury on him in here. Something about it looked much worse than in the dormitory. It looked like it was spreading down to his ring finger. Right where his amokitized object was. Ladybug tried not to look worried as she got ready to heal Adrien.
"Adrien, let me heal you. Okay?" Ladybug said to him.
He was about to reach out to her, but then he felt something making him hesitate. Ladybug looked worried and noticed him holding his hand that wasn't poisoned.
"Adrien. It's okay. I can help you," Ladybug said with a smile.
"N-No... La-Ladybug... S-Something's not right..." Adrien said to her as he fought off something.
Ladybug tried to get closer, but Adrien got her to stay back. She wanted to reach out to help him, but she could tell that something was wrong with him. She got a close look at Adrien's ring and noticed that the poison was starting to affect it. It was as if it was affecting him somehow. Ladybug wanted to help him, but he kept staying away from her.
"Ladybug, you have to get away from me," Adrien said as he tried to hold his arm back, "S-Something's wrong with the ring... I-I can't get my arm to calm down."
Ladybug wished she had her yo-yo at the moment, but for some reason she didn't have it. It was like she didn't need it in the first place. Ladybug touched the tips of his fingers, but then he quickly went to grab her. Ladybug tried to avoid him, but he was a lot faster than she expected. He grabbed her by the throat and pushed her against the wall. She tried to get out of his grip, but something about his strength seemed a lot stronger, even without his Miraculous.
"L-Ladybug! I-I'm so s-sorry," Adrien said to her, "I-I can't... stop this..."
"Y-Yes... You can..." Ladybug said through his grip, "I know you can. It's your ring, not the poison's."
Adrien tried to pull his grip off of her, but it kept fighting against him. Ladybug could feel his grip loosen up, but then went after her again by slamming her against the wall. Adrien felt tears coming up through his eyes as he tried to stop the ring from doing this to his partner.
"Ladybug... I can't do this... I need you... More than you realize..." Adrien said to her through tears.
"You're Adrien Agreste and Cat Noir. You're a fashion model... A superhero... and my one and only partner... I know that you can do this..." Ladybug said to him, "I love you Adrien... Cat Noir..."
Adrien's eyes widened in shock hearing her say that to him. Then before he could react, she grabbed his face and pulled him in for a kiss. Adrien felt himself melt in her arms and something about it made the poison weaken around his ring. Ladybug started to glow pink, especially around her black polkas on her hero costume. Adrien's grip let go of her, and he kissed her back. He felt tears streaming down his face, and he couldn't pull away from her.
Ladybug didn't even notice that she was already healing him and pulled away to see Adrien's neck looking a lot better than she thought it would.
"Adrien, your neck! It looks so much better already," Ladybug said to him.
Adrien looked at it and could already feel his arm getting a lot better as he shook it a little. He looked down at his ring and noticed that it was a little damaged. He got a little nervous and looked up at Ladybug.
"L-Ladybug... Can you do something about this ring?" Adrien asked as he showed her the ring.
Ladybug went to him and held his hand. She closed her eyes and focused on it. He could feel warmth coming from her hands as she covered the ring in a pink glow. Once she let go, his eyes widened when he noticed that it looked good as new.
"Whoa..." Adrien said under his breath.
"Let me heal you. You still have a little bit of poison in your system," Ladybug said to him.
Adrien wanted her to heal him, but something was still gnawing at him. He couldn't pinpoint what it was exactly, but he ended up letting her heal him. He closed his eyes and Ladybug placed her hand on his neck. She held him close as she caressed his tears off of his face. He could feel her warmth as she healed him up. Something about it felt a little enlightening, and he felt like he was floating with her. He had never felt so light and calm before in his entire life.
"Adrien, you can open your eyes now."
Adrien blinked his eyes open to see Ladybug, other classmates and friends all around him. Ladybug smiled down at him, and he couldn't help but smile back at her. He immediately looked down at his ring and noticed that it looked as if nothing had ever touched it. He even noticed that the poison was gone.
Adrien noticed that everyone was looking at him with worried expressions, but then relaxed when they noticed his neck looking much better.
"You really worried us there, Adrien," Kaminari said to him.
"Yeah... I was a little worried myself," Adrien said back as he stretched his arm, "But I think I'm okay."
Adrien looked at Ladybug, and she flustered and blushed the moment she looked at him. She ended up detransforming since it took a lot of energy to heal him. He never looked away from her, if anything it made him fall in love with her even more. He grabbed her hand and caressed it very gently. Everyone was watching them and got curious as to what happened between them while she was healing him.
"Thank you, Marinette... Ladybug..." Adrien said to her with a genuine smile.
Marinette looked away from him for a moment and felt a little embarrassed around him with everyone around.
"I-It's not problem! I-I'm just doing my job as Parisian's hero!" Marinette said clearly flustered from his touch.
Adrien was so grateful towards her for helping him, but something still felt a bit off. He shook it off for now and in the corner of his eye, Adrien noticed Jirou getting healed by Recovery Girl. She sat there looking a little pale and really upset. Jirou held something in her hands and gripped it tightly. Adrien then noticed that it was the earphone jack that fell off of her ear. He immediately felt sick to his stomach remembering what happened in the cave.
Kaminari walked over to her and sat with her for support.
"I'm sorry sweetie," Recovery Girl said to her with a sad voice, "There's nothing I can do about your quirk."
Another amazing chapter!
This one was an interesting chapter! Again, Adrien being a sentimonster won't be that big of a deal compared to other things. We'll see where it goes at least. It kind of how this healing session is written for someone like Adrien. I like that his is different from everyone else's. I found it kind of fun to write a Ladrien moment, even if I'm not a huge fan of it. It's still comforting to see them liking each other both ways. Adrien is finally healed!
