Chapter 2

"Do you know a good place to study?" Haruhi questioned Kagome one afternoon in the second week of school once the ending bell had rung.

The miko was half-hasdarly shoving her English notes (ie, blank pieces of paper) back into her expensive looking school bag, when she paused, and gave Haruhi the most exasperated look she could muster. "Really? You're asking me?"

"Fair point. Forget I asked."

Their conversation was rudely interrupted by the Hitachiin twins, the two red-heads immediately standing in between Kagome and Haruhi, facing the beauty. "Hey, Kagome," the two spoke in perfect sync, just as Haruhi lifted his hand in a wave to the girl, before turning around and leaving. "Want to come to the Host Club?"

Kagome glared over the twins shoulders at Haruhi's retreating form, before looking back at the two with confusion written all over her face. "The… Host Club? What the hell is that?"

She was met with immediate shock and disbelief at the question. Kaoru smiled down at her, right she was new… "It's a place where the rich boys of Ouran gather to entertain the wealthy girls, both who have way too much time on their hands. Our boss calls it Ouran's playground for the rich and beautiful."

Hikaru leaned on his younger brother's shoulder, "And you definitely qualify."

Kagome narrowed her eyes. The way they described it… wait… wasn't that- "Eh, no thanks."

"Come on-"

"You can sit with us-"

"It'll be fun~"

"Nah, besides, I've gotta be somewhere." Kagome finished shoving her papers in her bag, then stood, pushing past Kaoru. She waved at them as she left the classroom, "But maybe next time, boys! See ya!"

The two twins looked at each other… Were they just…. Rejected? At the mere mention of the club, most girls went into a blushing tails-spin or complete fan-girl mode, but Kagome just brushed them off…

What was she?

Kagome knew where she was going… At least, she thinks she does… The cerulean blue eyed miko looked at the signs, following them over to the Middle School, where she spotted a certain brown haired boy a handful of inches taller than her.

A smile lit up her face, "Hey! Yasuchika!"

The boy whipped around, other students stopping in the hallway to watch the stunning highschooler walk up to the middle school student without a care. Yasuchika felt his eye twitch, "What the hell are you doing here?"

"Nice to see you too." Kagome replied without flinching, then gestured over her shoulder, her eyes showing great concern in them. "You were running late. Thought I'd come check up on you. Is everything alright?"

His eyes softened a bit, and he sighed, "I'm fine. I was thinking about going to see Satoshi in his Kendo match."

"That's today?" the miko tilted her head to the side, frowning slightly. "Really?"

"Yes! That's today! Didn't you-" Chika paused mid rant, pinching his brow bone under his glasses and groaned. "Are you coming or not?"

Kagome knew what she should do… She was supposed to lay low, to do nothing that would give them away… But the miko also knew there was a plan in place in case she slipped up (not that Kagome knew what that was) which was inevitable.

Yet all that reasoning was quickly thrown out the window immediately, Kagome not even sparing it a thought. "Oh hell yeah!" She linked her arm with Yasuchika's, smiling from ear to ear, "Lead the way, Chika-chan~!"

The middle schooler let out a long sigh, "I don't have a clue how he puts up with you."

Takashi felt her before he saw her… her aura was unmistakable, just as her scent was. But the better question was, why was she here? Yet then, he felt Yasuchika's aura and smelled his scent, and he knew…

During the second week of the school year, the Kendo Club always does a meeting to evaluate or reevaluate the members skills. It was open to most of the school to come and watch if they so desired, if they had thoughts of joining, etcetera.

Other times, it was customers of the Host Club or members of the fanclubs who came to those meets- looking to get a glimpse of either Takashi Morinozuka or Mitsukuni Haninozuka.

Sometimes, members of the Karate Club would also come, since it was run by Yasuchika Haninozuka and the Kendo club was run by Takashi Morinozuka and it was known throughout the school how close the two families were.

But now, another would be joining…

Dark gray eyes shifted towards the door where an exasperated Yasuchika walked in, a babbling, smiling Kagome on his arm. Takashi couldn't keep the smile from creeping up on his face when he saw the two of them…

Cerulean blue eyes snapped towards him, and Kagome's smile grew. She untangled herself from Chika and immediately bounced over to him, "Anata!"

"Koi."

"Chika-chan was late, so I came to find him, and when I did he told me about your Kendo meet! I thought it sounded so cool to see you and Sato-chan in your matches!" Kagome intertwined her hands behind her back. "I hope you don't mind."

Takashi reached out and patted her on the head, "No. I don't."

Kagome leaned into his touch, almost purring, while Yasuchika rolled his eyes- walking up to them. "Can you two be any more obvious?"

"Behave." the youkai replied, and Chika huffed, crossing his arms over his chest, looking away with a pout. Takashi returned his gaze to Kagome, "Mitsukuni's in the stands."

"Really?! Let's go Chika-chan!" Kagome grabbed the middle schooler by the sleeve, who immediately groaned and dragged his feet.

"Do I have to?! I don't want to see Mitsukuni!"

"Deal with it!"

Mitsukuni immediately brightened when he laid eyes on Kagome, and the four foot tall senior scrambled out of his seat, bounding over to her. He didn't speak, only wrapping his arms around her waist and burying his head into her bust.

The honey-blond let out a happy purr, making the miko smile softly and run her fingers through his hair, "Hi, Mistu-chan."

The small senior's actions didn't go unnoticed by anyone in the stands, much less the Honey Fan-Club… All the girls there froze, their mouths hanging open in shock. J-just who the hell was this girl?! And how was she so close with Honey?!

The short senior was affectionate with the girl, who was… god, who was that? Big blue eyes, perfect features, a soft smile…

Murmurs broke out through the stands, trying and failing to be discreet about their confusion. Even the boys of Ouran in the stands (who were, admittedly, always jealous of the Host Club from stealing all the girls) couldn't help but to stare at Kagome…

They had seen pretty girls before, but none like her…

She was so beautiful

Eternal

"Woah, who's she?"

"I don't know…"

"Look at how Honey's hugging her!"

"Is that Chika too? And he and Honey aren't fighting? Wow…"

"God, she is breath-taking… You think she's single?"

"I don't know, man…"

"Just who is she?"

Yasuchika, who was scowling at Mitsukuni, lifted his head to glare at the stands- immediately shutting up the chatter. They all stared at him for a few minutes, none of them daring to say anything, and seemingly satisfied, Chika turned back to Kagome, "Come on, let's take a seat. They're starting soon."

He took Kagome by the arm, Mitsukuni letting out a whine as the taller boy pulled her away, "Aww, Chika-chan, come on~! Let me hug her longer!"

"You can cuddle her all you want in the stands, Mitsukuni!"

"Really?!"

Kagome couldn't help but laugh at the honey-blond's beaming expression, the sound echoing throughout the room.

Mitsukuni was happily sitting in Kagome's lap, his Usa-chan bunny still in his arms, Yasuchika to the miko's right. Chika looked at the honey-blond in distaste, before huffing, and turning back to the matches…

The two fights now were good… But Satoshi was better… and Takashi was the best.

Kagome spotted Yasuchika's expression from the corner of her eye and smiled sadly. She reached out with her free hand, the one that wasn't supporting Mitsukuni, and took his hand in hers. Chika immediately tensed, looking at their hands in shock, before looking at the miko with wide eyes…

She smiled softly at him, and all of a sudden, Yasuchika felt all the tension melt from his body…

'Yasuchika looked at Kagome with shock written all over his face, brown eyes wide… Wha-what was she saying? H-how could she be… Wait, no, that didn't matter… Why did they need another member of the family? Wasn't two enough? Were they not satisfied with them?

"Y-you're pregnant?"

The brown-eyed boy, who only looked to be about eight, glanced repetitively between Kagome's beaming face and her flat stomach several times, before finally settling on her face. The miko nodded happily, "Mhm! You're gonna be an older brother, Chika-chan! Isn't it great?!"

"B-but why? W-were we… Was I not enough for you?"

Blue eyes immediately shot open, horror written all across her face. "Wha-what? Honey, no, w-why would you think that? We love you, we love you so much… Just because I'm having another baby doesn't mean I'll love you any less. My love is not definite, it's endless."

Kagome reached out and placed her hands on Yasuchika's cheeks, smiling gently, "I'll always love you, Yasuchika- no matter what may happen."

Tears filled brown eyes, and Chika bit his lower lip, "You-you promise?"

"Of course, Chika. I promise."

Kagome watched with sparkles in her eyes as Takashi effortlessly wheeled his shinai against his opponent… It was like watching him in battle, except with a lot less blood… Yet it was just as exciting.

Takashi's opponent, a boy who looked remarkably similar to the senior, fell to his knees after a well-placed blow to his stomach. He panted, unable to hold himself up any longer, "I-I yield."

"Winner: Takashi Morinozuka!"

The stands erupted into cheer, and Kagome couldn't keep the smile off her face. Takashi held a hand out to his opponent, who groaned, but took it anyway. "I know, I know," the boy groaned, blue-ish gray eyes looking into dark gray. "I let my guard down. You don't have to say it."

A small smile pulled at Takashi's face and he ruffled the boy's hair, "You're doing better." It was a complement… One that the boy would take and run with. "Go shower and change."

"Hai, hai," the boy turned around, heading to the changing room with a smile on his face. He wasn't near good enough to beat Takashi, but he was getting there…

Maybe one day…

Kagome held Mitsukuni chest to chest, his legs on either of her waist, face buried in the crook of her neck as he slept like a log. Yasuchika made a face as he carried the stuffed pink bunny known as Usa-chan, following after the two as they headed over to where some of the best members of the kendo club were gathered.

"Oh! No fucking way!" a voice rang out through the small group and a boy who looked remarkably similar to Takashi, standing at 5'6" and wearing the Ouran Junior High Uniform ran up to them. His bluish gray eyes sparkled with excitement, "I didn't know you were here!"

Yasuchika scoffed, "Then you need more training."

"Shut it, asshole," the boy didn't even blink as he rebutled Chika, who rolled his eyes.

Kagome giggled at their banter- they never changed, "Hi, Satoshi. You did good. I'm proud."

Satoshi's smile seemed to grow, if that was possible, and he rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. "Ah, thanks."

The three other kendo club members gathered around, looking between their Vice President and the breath-taking beautiful girl holding a napping Mitsukuni in complete confusion. Each and everyone of them blushed lightly at seeing her smile… Lord… How the hell did Satoshi of all people know someone like that?!

"Uh, Vice Pres?" One member took a step forward, a boy with brown hair and black-ish eyes. "Who's your, uh, friend?" He gestured to Kagome, hesitating slightly on the word 'friend.'

Satoshi looked between the club member, and Kagome, scratching the side of his head… Now how did he answer this one? The miko smiled and bowed as much as she could with the sleeping boy in her arms, "I'm Kagome Taisho, it's nice to meet you. You're Aikio Hiroyuki, right?"

The club member tensed… She knew his name… She knew his name… Kagome Taisho, the most beautiful girl he'd ever seen, knew his name… "Uh," a very prominent blush appeared on the teen's cheeks. "Yeah."

"You did pretty good out there."

Aikio's blush darkened even more, and he forced his eyes away from the beautiful girl… Getting a complement from the breath-taking beauty… Yasuchika looked completely unamused at the situation, while Satoshi started snickering behind his hand.

Kagome looked at the two boys in confusion, a frown forming, "What? What did I say?"

"N-nothing, don't worry about it," Satoshi waved off her concern… Right then, Takashi came out of the changing room and raised an eyebrow at the scene in front of him. A blushing Aikio, a snickering Satoshi, an irritated Chika, and a confused Kagome.

Instantly, the tall senior knew what had happened, and sighed deeply to himself.

Same story, different year…

Takashi walked over to Kagome, who instantly brightened up seeing him. A smile appeared on the miko's face that only appeared when the tall senior was near, and Takashi greedily took in the sight.

"Takashi!" Kagome beamed, adjusting her grip on Mitsukuni. "That was great! I think I'm gonna have to come to more of yours and Sato-chan's matches! Oh, oh," she turned to look at Yasuchika. "And yours too, Chika-chan!"

The brown-haired boy rolled his eyes, "Oh yeah! Like that's what I need! You showing up and distracting all my members! They'll never get anything done!"

Kagome blinked, before she scowled, "What the hell's that supposed to mean, huh?"

Chika opened his mouth to bite back, only to see Takashi staring down at him, daring him to say something… The middle-schooler huffed, "It doesn't matter."

She looked at him in complete confusion, making Satoshi start laughing. Takashi whacked him over the head without the slightest bit of remorse, and the boy doubled-over in pain. "Ouch!" Satoshi winced, rubbing the spot in pain with one hand, "Really?"

He gave the boy a long look, before dark gray eyes flickered towards Mitsukuni, still sleeping soundly in Kagome's arms. The miko followed his gaze and smiled softly, "Oh, he fell asleep about half-way through."

"Ah," Takashi crouched down in front of Kagome and gently took the sleeping Mitsukuni from her, careful not to wake him. The tall senior settled the boy on his back, giving him a piggyback ride, and Yasuchika shoved Usa-chan into Mitsukuni's arms.

"Ugh, I hate that rabbit." Chika muttered as he stepped away.

Kagome frowned, "Why? You had a blue one when you were little."

Yasuchika's eyes widened as the the ease-dropping members of the kendo club snickered under their breaths. A blush coated Chika's cheeks, and he sputtered, "Kaa-I-I, why?!"

"What? It's true!"

"I- okay, we're leaving! Let's go Satoshi!" Yasuchika grabbed Kagome by the arm, dragging her behind him as he desperately tried to save himself some of his embarrassment.

The tall middle-schooler laughed, putting his hands behind his neck, before following after the two, "See ya at home!"

Takashi chuckled as he watched them leave.

Kagome's jaw dropped the minute she saw Haruhi enter the classroom the next day, "H-haruhi?! What the fuck?! What the hell happened to you?!"

"Gee, thanks for the vote of confidence in my looks," the honor student muttered as he sat his bag down on his desk. Clad in Ouran Academy's high school uniform was Haruhi Fujioka, complete with a new haircut and contacts.

If Kagome didn't know her friend (and wasn't able to sense auras) she wasn't sure she would be able to tell it was Haruhi.

Granted, the miko had heard about the, uh… transformation, so it will be called, but to think… Hikaru and Kaoru came up on either side of Haruhi, "I'm surprised you can tell it's him."

"Yeah," Kaoru started. "He looks totally different."

"Like a completely different person." Hikaru added without remorse, making Haruhi sweatdrop.

Kagome rolled her eyes, "Of course I can tell. I can always see who my friends are, dumbass. And speaking of dumbass things-" she whirled around, pointing at Haruhi. "What the hell were you thinking going to Music Room Three?! You're such a dumbass, Haruhi! Becoming a host, are you nuts?!"

The honor student sighed, raising his hands up to try and calm her, "Relax, Kagome. I'll tell you about it at lunch."

She stared at Haruhi for a long moment, before crossing her arms under her bust with a huff, turning away from them with a pout. "Fine."

"Okay, so let me get this straight… You broke a vase worth 800 million yen, and now you have to pay it back by being a Host?" Kagome looked dubiously at her friend… She had heard the story already… It was just different coming from Haruhi's mouth. "Did I get that right?"

The honor student sighed, "Yeah, that's about right… I now have to entertain 100 guests for my debt to be forgiven."

Kagome clicked her tongue, a scowl forming… Breaking a vase and now owing a tremendous debt to a bunch of guys… It sounds like one of those romance novels Mistukana used to read… At that thought, cerulean blue eyes glazed over slightly, before the miko shook her head violently…

Well, if Haruhi was saddled with a debt she couldn't repay, then Kagome was just going to help her friend in whatever way she could.

A fire blazed behind Kagome's form, making Haruhi shimmy backwards a bit with a sweatdrop… What had set her off this time?

Haruhi wasn't sure he wanted to know…
