Okay so this is my first published PJO fanfic so I hope you like it! constructive criticism is welcomed! Updates are going to be sporadic so no promises. I'll try make them periodic but I have a busy life so...

I do not own Percy Jackson or anything in this universe, they belong the a sassy man named Rick Riordan.

Percy had been stabbed. On purpose? Maybe. Legally? No.

His fatal flaw had ultimately led to his injuries. On the walk back to his apartment from AHS swim team practice, there was a girl, only about eight or nine, walking in front of him. Percy wasn't paying much attention to her or his surroundings, until the girl was suddenly pulled into an alley.

Before he could process what he was doing, Percy was in the alley pushing the girl behind himself. Xavier, a new Camp Half-Blood resident and Hermes camper, was not intent on letting her go that easily, so he unsheathed a knife in an instant and managed to drive it into Percy's ribs.

"Oh my gods!" Percy exclaims, grabbing his ribs with his left hand to try stem the blood flow. The son of Poseidon didn't have time to assess the injury though, because Xavier was reaching for the girl once again.

Percy's battle instincts kicked in and he lunged at Xavier before he could reach her. This earned Percy another injury when, in self defense, the son of Hermes drove his knife into his opponent's right shoulder while they tumbled to the ground.

"Oh gods! Aagh! Ow!" Percy shouts through gritted teeth. With both boys on the ground, the little girl's mother had found her screaming and they had escaped from the alley unscathed, before calling an ambulance for Percy.

A crowd had gathered because of all the commotion being caused and many were panicking from the sight of crimson blood all over the alleyway. Sirens were soon heard in the distance, so Xavier collected himself and jumped into his pickup for a quick getaway.

But not before taking one final swipe at Percy with his knife. A new gash was opened from the one on his ribs, down to his right hip.

"Hey kid, are you okay?" Someone in the crowd asks. Percy makes a move to stand up but is quickly stopped by shouting.

"NO! NO! NO! Stay down! You're hurt!" Was all he heard. Percy was set on ignoring the pleas so he stumbled against the brick wall and took a quick shortcut to his apartment.

"An ambulance is almost here!" A frantic sounding woman yells.

"Well in that case I better get going." Percy says under his breath. With a sudden 'distraction' caused by a busted pipe from the nearest building, Percy's blood and presence were washed away with everyone wondering what happened.

Percy managed to hide his injuries from his parents somehow, for a couple days before he made it to camp for the weekend. In that time he mustered through the pain with the help of his emergency stash of ambrosia and nectar in his dresser drawer.

Once Percy came to camp he made a plan to get more ambrosia and nectar from the big house that night.

Unfortunately he didn't get the ambrosia or the nectar, because Chiron and Mr.D were up and having a meeting about something important when he snuck in.

"Styxe!" He retreated back to his cabin and tried again the next night but even then he couldn't get in.

Unsurprisingly, Annabeth noticed something was wrong when Percy sat out at sword practice.

"Percy, is something wrong?" Annabeth asks. Percy smirks even though he knows she's using their real names and not nicknames.

"No, why would there be?" Percy chuckles through the pain in his side and the shake of his shoulder. Out of nowhere, he felt warm liquid spread along his shoulder and down his arm. He needed to get back to his cabin before Annabeth found out.

"Perce, you sat out at sword practice. Sword fighting is your favorite and you didn't even draw Riptide!" Annabeth explains her reasoning.

"I just didn't sleep well last night." Percy states.

"Perce."

"I'm gonna get back to my cabin and take a quick nap before dinner." Percy turns to leave but Annabeth puts a hand on his shoulder in protest, at which Percy couldn't help but cry out. Her hand comes away bloody.

"Percy." Annabeth says in horror.

"Annabeth." Percy replies, trying to sooth her.

"Percy. Why is my hand covered in blood?"

"It's nothing, Annabeth, really it's just a superficial wound." Percy tries to persuade her. She doesn't seem convinced because she stares him down and commands, "Percy, cabin three. Now."

"Annabeth," Percy attempts to sway her but she grabs his uninjured arm and drags him into his cabin before shutting and locking it. "Annabeth, it's not that bad. I'm fine, really."

"Take off your jacket." He does as he's told because now he's trapped and he doesn't want to be judo flipped. Annabeth lifts up his sleeve and undoes the bandages soaked in blood. She is horrified when she uncovers a through and through stab wound spilling out blood.

"It's not as bad as it looks." Percy tries to convince her.

"Yeah, knowing you it's probably worse." She inspects it further. She lifts up his arm which makes Percy hiss in pain, but then she uncovers the second wound.

"Wait, Annabeth, no!" She lifts up his blood stained t-shirt and finds more soaked bandages.

"Percy, take of your shirt." Annabeth commands. He does so with difficulty getting the shirt off his shoulder before yanking it off and yelping in pain. Annabeth lifts his arm and reveals a gaping wound on his side. "Percy, what happened?!" Why didn't you go to the infirmary or Chiron or me or really anyone at this point! Who did this to you?!"

"I can't tell you, they'll get in trouble." Percy sighs. "I didn't want you guys to worry and besides, I can handle it by myself."

"Percy, I hate to break it to you but this is not handling it! How long ago did this happen?"

"A-a few days ago…"

"PERSEUS JACKSON!"

"I tried to get into the big house to get some ambrosia but there was always someone there. Once I get it, I'll be fine, everything will be fine and we'll get it before I have to go back to school for the week. I just need help getting it, please Annabeth." Percy pleads.

"Fine. I'll bandage this back up, we'll go to dinner, and at 12:30 we'll sneak into the Big House and get some ambrosia." Annabeth plans, her thoughts clouded by her concern for her boyfriend. She starts cleaning out his gashes.

"Ok, but why 12:30?" Percy asks through gritted teeth. "There's never anyone in the Big House at 12:30 and if we have to we can sneak into the infirmary because that's when the night kids take their breaks. I think Will's on tonight so it shouldn't be too hard to get in and out." She wraps the bandage around his torso and then up and around his shoulder. "Ok, you're good, for now. Change the bandages before bed and try not to use your arm too much during dinner. And here's a new shirt and jacket. Don't take your jacket off."

The supper bell rings and they're off. Supper goes on and they go to bed before Annabeth and Percy meet up by the Big House at 12:30.
