Spencer was mortified when she came home from shopping with Wanda and Vision; the shopping trip had been fun but took forever because Wanda wanted an outfit each for any occasion. That wasn't what made Spencer mortified, nope, it was coming home and going inside her apartment, only to find Pietro being sat on a couch with every important male figure in Spencer's life surrounding him.
Pietro looked pale and uncomfortable as he was surrounded by Nick Fury, Clint, Tony, Steve, Sam, and her dad, Phil. "What are you guys doing?!" Spencer shrieked, dropping her bags on the floor.
"We're just having a nice, friendly chat," Her godfather responded dismissively, "Isn't that right, kid?" Nick glared at Pietro.
"Y-Yes, sir," Pietro stuttered with wide eyes.
"Scatter, you overprotective jerks!" Spencer stepped in front of Pietro and glared at the men in her life, "Seriously? Are you trying to kill him?" Spencer demanded planting her hands on her hips.
"We were just interrogating him," Clint shrugs leaning back into the couch with a smirk, "We have to make sure he understands the consequences if he breaks your heart or acts inappropriately."
"I'm telling Laura you tried scaring off my date!" Spencer snapped at Clint with a glare.
"I can't have any fun!" Clint complains grumpily with a pout.
"Spencer, we have a right to ask this young man questions," Her father says pointedly.
"You didn't have to gang up on him!" Spencer hisses and turns on Steve, Tony and Sam, "Why am I surprised that you two are in on this? Sam, I thought you liked Pietro!" Spencer huffs.
Sam takes a bite out of his croissant, "I do, but I also have to make sure he understands what he's getting into when he decided to ask you out on a date." Sam grins widely.
"I just wanted to terrify him," Tony speaks up with a smirk.
"You guys are unbelievable!" Spencer threw her hands up but couldn't help but laugh, "You've all had your fun, now leave him alone!" Spencer snapped with a narrowed glare.
"We were just getting to know him better," Her dad says with a glare at Spencer, "As your father, I have a tradition to uphold, ya know? I get to scare and intimidate him as do all other fathers in the world."
"I have a right too," Nick smirks, "As your godfather."
"I have that right, too," Clint chirps with another wide grin, "As your adopted dad."
"I am your best friend," Steve says thoughtfully, "So, I also have that right."
Spencer feels her eyes twitching at the nerve of these men. "We co-parent," Tony says raising his hand, "Cooper, so I have the right to question any new men you bring into your home in fear for the safety of our shared child."
"Tony, that sounds so inappropriate," Clint groans with a look of disgust.
Spencer turns to Sam, "What about you, bird brain?" Spencer demands.
Sam just munches on his croissant slowly, "I don't have any right but I still did it." Sam shrugs and smiles at Spencer-Spencer heard Wanda laughing from the door.
"Unbelievable," Spencer rubs her forehead, "Pietro, let's go to my room and get you away from these bullies!" Spencer grabs Pietro's hand and tugs him into her room, Wanda and Vision grabbing Spencer's dropped bags and followed.
"I want that door open, young lady!" Her dad shouted after her.
Spencer whirled around with the devil in her eyes.
All the men seem to shrink under her glare, "N-Nevermind, sweetie." Her dad responded meekly.
Spencer let Pietro, Wanda, and Vision into her room first before turning to glare at the men in her life. All the men suddenly yelped as Spencer shot them with the tiniest bit of electrical current, not enough to hurt them, but just to surprise them. Spencer smirked and went inside her room.
"Are you okay, Pietro?" Spencer asked.
Pietro chuckled nervously, "Just taken by surprise," Pietro muttered, "They're all very intimidating ganged up like that, I know how the villains feel now." Pietro gave a light smile.
"May I ask what that display was?" Vision asked with a curious look, "What did they mean when they said they had the right to intimidate Pietro?"
Wanda was quick to answer Vision while Spencer tuned them out and began putting away her new clothes. It had been a whole lifetime since Spencer had the chance to go out and shop with friends. She enjoyed it a lot. It was such a normal, civilian thing to do. Of course, they did draw some attention because of Vision and people recognized Spencer as Shockwave surprisingly fast.
"Interesting," Vision says, "What a strange display of dominance."
"They're all idiots," Spencer muttered with a frown, "I'm not freaking fifteen," Spencer says, "I'm a grown woman."
"You're a baby in their eyes," Wanda muses, "I thought it was funny."
"Of course you did," Pietro mumbles.
"Have you decided on where you wanted to take Spencer?" Wanda grins like the Cheshire Cat.
Pietro glares at her with the lightest blush on his face, "M-Maybe."
"Is that why you were here?" Spencer asks sitting down next to him, her curiosity was getting the better of her.
"Yes," Pietro admitted with a soft sigh, "I needed Tony's help so I texted him, but he told me to come to your apartment since he was visiting Cooper, and well, you saw how it ended," Pietro chuckles looking a little bit amused, "I shouldn't have been surprised," He muses running his hands through his hair.
"So?" Wanda wiggled her eyebrows, "Any details you can give us?"
Pietro glared at her, "You know, this date doesn't include you, right?" Pietro deadpanned.
Wanda pouts, "Of course, I know that but I can't help but to be excited, my little brother is going on his first official date!" Wanda coos.
Pietro swats at her hand that was reaching for his face, "I'm twelve minutes older than you." Pietro hisses.
Spencer giggles at their interactions.
"Spencer, what series do you recommend for me to read?" Vision asks peering at her bookshelves where her collection of books were, "I have heard much about this Harry Potter," Vision speaks clearly, "Is it something you'd recommend?"
Spencer jumped up on her feet and smiled, "I love Harry Potter," Spencer chirps happily, "I do recommend it, but it isn't a complicated book to read," Spencer says, "It is aimed for children and teenagers, but I recommend it if you want to understand the frequent references you'll see about it."
"Which is the first book? This one?" Vision points to the Chamber of Secrets.
Spencer nods, "Yes, that one is the first, after you're done reading the series, we can have a marathon for the movies." Spencer smiled up at Vision.
"There are movies as well?" Vision's eyes widen in interest.
Spencer nods excitedly, "They aren't as great as the books, but they are still great nevertheless."
"Spencer," Pietro calls for her attention.
Spencer turns her attention onto Pietro as Wanda gets up and goes over to Spencer's bookshelf, "We're leaving tomorrow at 5 am." Pietro smiles warmly.
Spencer brightens up and goes up to Pietro, "Can I have any hints?" Spencer asks with wide eyes.
Pietro stares at her with amusement, "We're waking up early for it."
Spencer rolls her eyes, "Cheeky thing," Spencer laughs.
