Episode 5: It's Mean, It's Green, It's the Mystery Machine
– Separator –
Our view opens on Shaggy, Scooby, and Ivy walking along a sidewalk at night. We can see a theater behind them. There is a picture of a dog flying on a poster on 1 wall.
Shaggy looks over to Scooby as the theater fades from view. "How did I let you talk me into seeing return of astro Mut, space dog of the future, and like twice?"
Ivy smiles. "I thought it was quite good."
Scooby gives her a thankful look then shrugs. "He's my hero." Scooby laughs.
As the 3 of them continue to walk Ivy glances around in puzzlement. "I could swear I hear music." She glances around again. "Who's playing that awful music?"
Shaggy looks up as the mystery machine drives into view. "Hay mystery machine! I guess good old Fred is coming to give us a ride home. Hay Fred!" Shaggy waves at the mystery machine as it continues to drive. "Wonder why he's not stopping."
As the mystery machine drives by, Shaggy gets a look through the windshield, and gulps. "There's no Fred. In fact, there's no driver!"
The mystery machine pauses at a red light, but then speeds off. Mysterious music left in its wake.
Seeing Shaggy and Scooby scared out of their wits, Ivy grabs the 2 of them, and after glancing around to make sure they're alone, disappears with a loud crack.

Our view shifts to Fred, Velma, and Daphne as they enjoy themselves at a smoothie shop. Rock music plays in the background as they sip their drinks. Without warning there's a loud crack, and Shaggy, Scooby, and Ivy appear behind Velma.
Shaggy looks around in panic still. "Like the Mystery Machine! It's after us!"
Fred raises 1 eyebrow. "My van?"
Shaggy nods. "Yeh. The 3 of us were just walking along, minding our own business, when it just drove by, and there was no one driving it!"
Velma looks to Ivy, who nods. "I don't know why or how, but it was definitely the Mystery Machine."
Velma looks skeptical. "But it couldn't just drive off like that."
Fred looks thoughtful. "I don't know Velma. Maybe I left the parking brake; off."
Shaggy gives Fred an incredulous look. "Parking brake! No way man. That thing was alive, and there was this creepy green glow, and scary music playing. Come on I'll show you."
The gang walked out of the shop to find the Mystery Machine quietly parked in a parking spot.
Shaggy blinks at the Mystery Machine. "But but it was alive!"
Velma opens her mouth to say something, until she spots Ivy's frown. "What is it, Ivy?"
Ivy examines the Mystery Machine. "I'm not sure, but something is off here."
Daphne joins Ivy in examining the van. "I don't see anything."
Ivy nods. "Me neither."
Fred opens the driver's door. "Come on everyone, it's getting late."
Ivy pulls out her broom and flies up above the van. The others pile into the van, and everyone moves off.
A few miles later the gang is driving down the highway nearing a construction site. The sight is closed for the day, and barriers are erected in front of the sight.
Suddenly music rolls out of the speakers, and the van speeds down the road.
Fred attempts to turn the wheel. "What the heck? The steering wheel won't budge."
Daphne pulls her seatbelt tighter as the van picks up speed. "Hit the brakes, Fredy!"
Fred stomps on the break. "There not working either!"
Shaggy looks out the window and spots the van driving straight toward a concrete barrier. "Yoinks! Like look!"
Everyone sees the barrier coming up fast. Scooby points to a button on the dashboard.
Fred glances at Scooby. "What are you pointing at Scooby?"
Scooby keeps pointing to 1 of the buttons on the dashboard.
Fred follows Scooby's pointing. "Good Idea. The Mystery Machine parachute."
Fred presses the button, and a parachute bellows out behind the van. This causes the band to lose speed and come to a stop just before the barrier.
Ivy lands beside the van. "Is everyone alright?"
Velma climbs out of the van and stretches her arms. "We're ok, just shaken up."
Ivy pulls Velma into a hug causing Velma to stiffen in surprise. "I'm glad to hear it. I couldn't understand what was happening when I saw the Mystery Machine just take off like that. You were all very lucky."
Velma nods against Ivy's shoulder. "Yeh, 1 more tenth of a second and..."
Shaggy pulls himself out of the van. "Cement city."
Daphne climbs out and examines the Mystery Machine. "Didn't you just take the Mystery Machine in for a tune up Fredy?"
Fred climbs out and joins Daphne in examining the van. "I sure did."
Shaggy shrugs. "Well Like I think Murph the mechanic could use a refresher course."
Fred finishes his examination and opens the driver's door again. "First thing in the morning we're going to pay him a little visit."
Everyone except Ivy climbs back into the Mystery Machine. Ivy lifts back into the sky, and all of them head for home.

Our view shifts to the gang standing in Murph mechanic's workshop. Murph scratches his head. "I'm sorry but, when your van left here it was in perfect condition. I even checked the breaks myself. They were fine!"
Daphne puts her hands on her hips. "Well, they weren't fine last night."
Murph gets a gleam in his eye. "Well, I'll tell you what I'll do. The Mystery Machine is getting up there in miles. How about I take it out of your hands. I'll give you 5 thousand dollars for it."
Daphne's eyes widen. "We're not here to sell it! Besides what would we ever do without the Mystery Machine?"
Shaggy looks thoughtful. "Get a Mystery SUV?"
Scooby grins at Shaggy's joke, until he glances outside. He watches as the mystery Machine drives off. Scooby taps Shaggy on the shoulder.
Shaggy glances over at Scooby. "What's up Scooby Doo?"
Scooby points outside. "The Mystery Machine!"
The gang gathers around as the Mystery Machine drives out of sight.
Daphne frowns. "Oh no! The mystery Machine was stolen!"
Shaggy Looks frightened. "Like stolen by a ghost."
Scooby nods in agreement. "Reh!"
Velma fixes them with a stern look. "Would you 2 quit it with that ghost nonsense? This is serious."
Fred glances down at the road. "Luckly for us the Mystery Machine started leaking oil after that near miss we had last night."
Daphne scrunches up her face in disgust. "Just follow the gooey drip road"
Scooby sniffs the trail they want to follow. "Yuck!"
The gang followed Scooby until they lost the oil.
Fred glances around. "The trail ends right here."
Shaggy is still shivering. "And not a haunted van in sight."
Fred glances at the house the trail ends in front of. "We need to find out who lives at this house."
Velma pulls out her laptop. "No problem. Using my wireless internet connection, I'll do a reverse search on the address to..." Velma looks up when she hears a doorbell ring. "What?" Velma sees the rest of the gang knocking on the house's front door. "Hay wait for me!"

Our view shifts to the gang sitting around a table. At the head of the table is an older woman. Fred sits to her right. Daphne sits beside him.
Velma sits to the left of the older woman. Shaggy sits beside Velma, and Scooby lies at his feet.
At the end of the table sit 2 kids, a boy and a girl. The girl carries a case for a guitar. The boy has hands that look like they had just started doing unusual work.
the older woman is speaking to the gang. "Well, I'm always happy to talk to the press, but I'm right in the middle of a piano lesson. Why don't you wait right there?"
Velma blinks. "Ok!"
The boy plays the keyboard, until he hits a wrong note.
The older woman encourages the boy. "Keep playing doll. The keyboard's just a little out of tune, that's all."
Suddenly music plays from a pair of speakers. Shaggy looks up recognizing the music. "The Mystery Kids! What ever happened to that band?"
Daphne bobs her head to the music. "They sure were popular."
The older woman rejoins the gang. "And they're going to be again."
Fred looks around in appreciation. "You must be the Mystery Kids biggest fan Susan."
Susan smiles. "I'm not a fan. I'm their mother, and I'm a very busy woman. This interview can t takes too long."
Velma has a befuddled look on her face. "Um, we're not reporters. We're actually here about our van, the Mystery Machine."
For some reason the music stops.
Susan has a strange look on her face. "You own the Mystery Machine? Well, that used to be our tour bus when we were first starting out. Since they were the Mystery Kids, we called the van, the Mystery Machine."
We turn to find the 2 kids searching through a pile of stuff. Susan gives the kids an odd look.
"What are you kids doing?"
The boy who was playing the keyboard shrugs. "Tennis tryouts are next week."
The girl doesn't even look up. "Hello! I'm looking for my prom dress."
Susan looks horrified. "WHAT! We've got an album to finish, and a concert at City Park tomorrow night!" Susan knocks over the pile the kids were looking through.
Both kids turn to her with looks of dismay. "Oh mom!"
Susan glares at the kids. "Don't you give me that lip. Now sit up straight. We have guests."
The kids look up and finally take note of the gang sitting at the table.
Susan softens her expression. "Andy, and Mandy, meet the new owners of the Mystery Machine."
Mandy gapes. "Wow! I thought mom sold it for scrap parts. Is that thing still running?"
Shaggy nods. "Yeh. Except now it's running on ghost power."
Velma shakes her head. "Shaggy likes to exaggerate. Let's just say some strange things have been happening that we can't yet explain."
Fred looks over Andy, and Mandy. "Is there anything you can tell us about the Mystery Machine that might help?"
Susan looks thoughtful. "Well, technically the van was owned by our keyboard player, Flash Flannigan."
Fred looks interested. "Do you think we can talk to Flash?"
Andy shakes his head. "Not unless you've got a Ouija board."
Susan scowls at her son. "Andrew! Flash," Susan clears her throat. "Well Flash had an accident after 1 of the concerts, and now he's in rock and roll heaven."
Susan's eyes light up. "In Rock and Roll heaven. That could be a song right it down."
Mandy pulls out a pen and a piece of paper and scribbles the words down. If anyone had cared to look, they would have seen she wasn't happy about it.
Shaggy jumps to his feet. "Oh man! Now I know what's wrong with the Mystery Machine! The ghost of Flash Flannigan is haunting it."
Scooby nods in agreement.
Mandy gets a faraway look in her eyes. "It was his home away from home. He even painted it to remind him of the flowers in his garden."
The gang rise to leave Susan's house. Velma looks surprised. "So, Flash Flannigan painted the Mystery Machine? I thought the flower pattern was your idea, Fred."
Fred shakes his head. "Nope. I always wanted to paint it red."
The gang are nearing the front door when Fred collides with someone walking toward the front door firm another direction. This causes the new person to drop a textbook.
The slightly older kid glares at Fred. "Why don't you watch where you're going!"
Daphne looks up at the taller kid. "Who are you?"
The kid looks down on the gang. "I'm Randy." The gang give Randy a puzzled look. "Randy Dinwiddie?" The gang continued to stare. Randy huffs. "Andy and Mandy's brother!"
The gang blinks. "Oh!"
Velma examines the textbook Randy dropped. "A flight engineering sixth addition. This is a grate book. Where do you study?"
Randy pulls his book from Velma's hands. "At Defries Technical Academy, and now you've made me late for class." Randy brushes past the gang and leaves.
The gang walked out of the Dinwiddie home and turned toward the city center.
Daphne frowns as they walk. "That's strange. Susan didn't even mention that Andy and Mandy have a brother."
The gang walks for a few blocks. Shaggy begins to look annoyed. "Like we need to find some alternate means of transport. This walk is for the birds."
Scooby nods in agreement.
Daphne glances around. "Has anyone seen Ivy?"
Velma looks up. "She texted me she was going to look for the Mystery Machine."
Without warning a voice yelled from above, "WATCH OUT!"
The gang turn to see the Mystery Machine driving straight toward them. First Shaggy, then the rest of them yell in fright, and scatter running down the sidewalk as The Mystery Machine tries to run them over.
– Separator –
Our view focuses on Fred as the Mystery Machine continues to chase the gang all over the place.
"Got to think fast." Fred pulls a box of Scooby Snacks out of his jacket pocket. Fred spots the Mystery Machine about to run over Scooby. "A hole box Scooby. All for you. Now, go get it!" Fred throws the box toward where Shaggy has just dodged the van.
Scooby dashes out of his hiding place, and lunges for the box. At first, he misses, but jumping forward Scooby grabs the box, and rolls under a concrete barrier.
The van bounces off the barrier and turns heading for Shaggy.
Shaggy on spotting the van ducks behind a stone wall. The van crashes into the wall, causing the lights and music to go silent.
Shaggy peeks out from behind the wall. On seeing the Mystery Machine stopped, he hurries over to join the others. "Like I hate to say we told you so, but..."
Scooby eats his last Scooby Snak from the box. "We told you so."
Without warning the van's lights start up again, the music starts playing, and the van drives off.
Daphne looks after the van in shock. "Jeepers! The Mystery Machine really is haunted."
Fred gets a gleam in his eye. "The way I see it, there is only 1 way to solve this mystery." Fred flags down a taxi, opens the door, and piles with the gang into the back. Looking at the driver he says, "Follow that, Van!"
The gang rode in the cab until they lost sight of the van.
Fred has a scowl on his face. "Darn! Looks like we lost him."
The cab stops at a red light.
Velma reads a nearby sign. "Defries Technical Academy. Hay that's the school Randy Dinwiddie attends. I wonder if he's here."
– Separator –
Our view shifts to the gang standing with Randy outside the school. Fred is talking to Randy. "And we lost its trail right around here. Any idea why it would come to this school Randy?"
Randy shrugs. "How should I know? I never had anything to do with the Mystery Kids. I'm just their tone-deaf brother. I don't count."
Velma watches some robotic arms as they perform some tasks. "These robotic appendages are quite remarkable, but where are the control panels?"
Randy looks at Velma in disbelief. "Control panels? With wireless internet technology I can make the robots execute a complex sequence of commands from right here."
We watch as the robots do a series of tasks.
Daphne smiles at Randy. "Grate work. Your mother must be very proud."
Randy scoffs. "Yeh right. She pretends to take an interest. Helps me with my homework or whatever, but it's just a show. I'll never make the charts like her precious Mystery Kids."
Fred looks thoughtful. You're a smart guy Randy. What would you do if your van started driving itself all over town?"
Randy shrugs. "I'd find myself a good mechanic."

Our view shifts to the gang as they enter Murph's mechanic shop. Murph himself isn't behind the counter, but we can see a door that is slightly ajar.
Fred looks around the shop. "Murph? Yow Murph you here?"
Daphne examines the tools in the shop. "It wasn't until we got the Mystery Machine back from Murph that it started acting funny."
Shaggy gives Daphne an incredulous look. "If you think this is funny, I'd hate to see what your idea of hilarious is!"
Velma looks thoughtful. "And why did he try and buy it from us when we were at the garage?"
Fred blinks. "Well, that's obvious. Because it's a sweet ride."
Velma and Daphne nodded in agreement. having exhausted everything in the shop, Fred opens the door that is partially open, and walks down some stairs. The others follow him.
The gang find themselves in a basement. All over the room we can see old posters on the walls, shelves filled with merchandise, and a large tv taking up the back wall playing music videos.
Daphne stares at the room in surprise. "Wow, Murph is a secret Mystery Kids fan."
Velma nods. "I'll say. Looks like he cornered the Mystery Kids' collectables market. Look at this stuff."
Shaggy and Scooby find some candy. "Hay check it out. Andy and Mandy make dandy candy!"
Fred smiles. "That's handy."
The music video ends, and a documentary comes on the screen. "We now return to Rewind the music. The rise and fall of the Mystery Kids.
It was there at the infamous City Park concert that Flash Flannigan stormed off stage and vanished into rock and roll legend.
But behind he left 1 final mystery. Each week a wild daisy appears on Flashes headstone. A gift of an obsessed fan, or a calling card from Flash himself."
Velma reaches out and turns off the tv. "Sounds like strange things are happening at Flash Flannigan's grave."
Fred nods. "Let's check it out."
Daphne looks worried. "But how are we going to get there?
– Separator –
Our view shifts to the gang as they ride along. Fred and Daphne are each on a bike. Velma is riding a scooter. Shaggy is riding along on a skateboard. Finally, Scooby is using roller skates.
Velma points ahead. "We're almost to Flash Flannigan's grave now."
The gang enters the cemetery, and Fred holds up a hand. "Hold up, someone's there."
Velma looks past Fred's shoulder. "Andy, and Mandy!"
Daphne Looks puzzled. "But what are they doing here?"
The gang watch as Andy and Mandy rise from their position kneeling in front of the tombstone and walk off.
Fred turns toward the cemetery gate. "Come on gang. Let's follow them."
Without warning music starts blaring.
Shaggy looks scared. "I don't suppose that could be some other van that plays Mystery Kids music, could it?"
The Mystery Machine comes tearing around a corner, and roars strait for the gang.
– Chase scene to the music of I'd Do Anything –
The gang scattered in all directions. Velma rides her scooter north trying to prevent the Mystery Machine from running over her. Without warning Ivy swoops out of the sky, and grabs Velma pulling her along at a furious pace. The 2 of them dart through back alleys, past the movie theater where Ivy, Shaggy, and Scooby first saw the Mystery Machine, and finally back near Murph's garage. Velma rolls into the garage while Ivy flies off to help another member of the gang.
Daphne is peddling along the road. Occasionally glancing around looking for the Mystery Machine. Without warning the van roars out of a side street and begins chasing her. The doors of the bank begin to open and snap shut. Trying to capture Daphne. All of a sudden Ivy swoop down from above and pulls Daphne into the air. The 2 of them fly just ahead of the Mystery Machine. Dodging in and out of buildings trying to lose the van. This takes a few minutes, and as soon as the van is out of sight, the 2 of them fly back toward the garage. Daphne drops down in front of the garage, and Ivy flies off looking for the others.
Scooby is hiding on top of the garage's roof when the Mystery Machine roars by. Scooby thinks about staying where he is, but he spots Fred trapped in some wires. Sighing to himself, Scooby jumps off the roof, and skates over to Fred. Quickly Scooby frees Fred from the wires, and then has to skate away as the Mystery Machine comes roaring after him. Scooby, despite only being on roller skates, is able to keep ahead of the van. At 1 point the van doors open and close trying to catch Scooby at a corner. However, Ivyfliess in from nowhere and helps Scooby escape. The 2 of them jump up onto the roofs of the city, and either skate or fly along until they reach the garage.
Fred on the other hand uses his bike to try and run out of the Mystery Machine when it starts chasing him. He is nearly caught several times, but Ivy flies in, and helps him get to the garage safely.
– End of chase scene –
Shaggy has been able to hide from the Mystery Machine while the others have been chased all over the place. This luck, however, runs out as the mystery Machine sneaks up and captures Shaggy.
Velma stares as the Mystery Machine roars off. "The Mystery Machine's got Shaggy!"
– Separator –
Our view shifts to the gang chasing after the Mystery Machine down the highway. Shaggy is still trapped int the van. Fred is now on the skateboard. Velma has joined daphne in riding a bike. Scooby is still rolling along on roller skates.
Fred tries to catch up with the van. "Here it goes!"
Daphne looks worried. "Be careful Fredy!"
Fred increases his speed. "I'm coming Shag! Hang in there."
Shaggy is thrown from 1side of the van to the other as it does its best to avoid the gang. "Stop! Breaks!"
The van smashes through a sign as it swerves from side to side. Fred lunges for the van, but misses.
The chase continues until a police car begins to follow the van. Without warning the van swerves into the guard rail and stops.
Shaggy is ecstatic. "YES!" Shaggy kisses the ground.
The police officer climbs out of his car and walks over to Shaggy. "What's going on buddy? Where'd you get your license, clown school?"
Fred holds up his hands. "We weren't driving officer."
The officer has a disbelieving look on his face. "Come on fellas that van can't drive itself."
Daphne rolls up. "You can believe him officer. The van has been acting weird all week."
The officer looks around. "Well, looks like no one got hurt. We'll call it a malfunction and let you guys off with a warning. But we'll have to impound your vehicle."
Shaggy straightens up. "You might consider keeping it in solitary!"

Our view shifts to the gang as they arrive at the city park. We see Andy and Mandy playing their instruments.
We see Susan roll her eyes. "Pick up the pace kids. It's not a lullaby, and I'm snoozing!"
The kids play their instruments a little faster. The gang spotted Randy standing off to 1 side.
Shaggy nods to him. "Hay man like we didn't think we'd see you here tonight."
Randy shrugs. "My mom told me that if I didn't set up a wireless control light display for the show, she'd stop paying my tuition."
The music stops.
Susan looks over at the gang, and scowls. "Excuse me, there's a rehearsal going on here. authorized personnel only!"
The gang moves away from Randy and the kids.
Daphne spots Murph standing at the edge of a Croud. "Murph!"
Murph turns and spots the gang walking over to him. "Oh! Hay."
Daphne gives him a cold look. "We know why your here Murph."
Murph nods. "Yeh looking for you. So, all vie got to say is 25 hundred plus impound and toing fees. Take it or leave it."
Velma walks up to stand beside Daphne. "And we know why you want it. We happen to see your shrine."
Murph blinks hard. "What! You saw it?"
Fred nods. "We sure did."
Murph's shoulders slump. "Ok, I admit it. I've been into them for years. It's not something I'm proud of. Promise you won't tell anyone?"
Before anyone can respond 1 of the lights explodes.
Everyone looks around as the light gives off sparks.
Andy looks over to his brother. "What the heck happened Randy?"
Randy looks confused. "I don't know. I wasn't even near that light."
Mandy scoffs. "I am so sure." She looks over toward her mom. "Mom Randy is trying to reck our show. There could have been a fire."
Randy shakes his head. "No way Mandy that's a fireproof curtain. It's lined with lead." Everyone stares at him. "I said I didn't do it."
– Separator –
Our view shifts to the gang as they sit around a picnic table in the park. The rehearsal appears to either be over for the night, or just on hold. Randy's wireless setup is still in its place although no one is around it.
Daphne looks puzzled. "Well, if Randy didn't, then who did?"
Shaggy looks like he's seen a ghost. "Maybe it was the ghost of Flash Flannigan!"
Velma looks skeptical. "I doubt that very highly. But that gives me an idea. Why don't we let Flash himself clear up this mystery?"
Fred looks at Velma in surprise. "How?"
Ivy appeared from under her invisibility cloak. "I can call his soul back form the dead if you want to speak with him."
The others look shocked. Velma grabs Ivy's hand. "You can speak with the dead?"
Ivy nods. "Give me just a minute." She pulls out a small stone and turns it over 3 times.
At the third turn a young man with curly, red hair appears. He wears a long purple coat over tan collarless shirt and dark grey trousers. He wears a crystal pendant on a black leather necklace around his neck. He Wears purple "granny glasses" and crystal drop earrings. "Why have I been brought back here?"
The gang stare in shock first at Ivy, and then at the spirit of Flash Flannigan.
Ivy, seeing they're not going to ask any questions, asks "Mr. Flannigan, could you tell me why you left the Mystery Kids?"
Flash shrugs., although he looks angry. "It was a combination of things. First Susan was just pushing and pushing us to play more, be better. That in itself wouldn't have been so bad. However, she didn't think we needed any down time.
She scheduled concert after concert back-to-back. I was just burned out. Just before our last concert I informed her that I needed a break. I wasn't quitting the band, but I was burned out. I needed rest."
Fred looks sympathetic. "I can imagine that didn't go over well."
Flash snorts in agreement. "You would have thought I had told her the Mystery Kids was finished. She yelled and screamed at me for a good 10 minutes. The only reason she stopped was because we had to go on stage.
However, during the concert, I started having chest pains. During the break I told Susan. She even saw me clutching my chest. But as you can guess she wouldn't stop the concert. Finally fed up with how she treated all of us I stormed off the stage hoping I could get to the hospital."
Daphne looks confused. "We saw a documentary that said you stormed off the stage in anger."
Flash looks thoughtful. "I can see why people would think that. I was pretty angry with Susan at the time. However, I was more concerned with my health. Not that mattered in the end. I was driving the Mystery Machine to the hospital when I suffered a heart attack. This caused me to lose control of the van. I slamed into the guard rail, and was flung out the open window, over the rail, and down into the river. I don't think anyone found my body."
Ivy smiles at Flash. "Thank you for telling us all that flash. Something seems to be messing with the Mystery Machine, witch these kids" Ivy points to the gang around her " now own."
Flash looks thoughtful. "I wish I could help you, but being dead makes that rather hard."
The gang smiles at the joke. Ivy smiles at flash again. "Return to your rest Flash, we won't bother you again."
As Ivy turns the stone in the opposite direction Flash waves to Mystery Ink.
Shaggy looks around as Flash disappears. "Now what?"
Velma gets a gleam in her eye. "Daphne's going to hold a séance."
Shaggy looks interested. "Like what's a séance? And does it cater?"
Velma gets a wicked look in her eyes. "A séance is where you contact spirits, from beyond the grave."
Shaggy looks puzzled. "Didn't we just do that?"
Ivy smiles. "Yes, but this time will be fake."
Shaggy sags in relief.
As the gang go to find the suspects, our view shits to the Mystery Machine as it starts up and drives out of the impound lot. Scaring the attendant.

Our view shifts to the gang as they once are sitting around a table. Susan, Andy, Mandy, Randy, and Murph sit in strait back chairs facing the gang. Daphne stands behind everyone else holding some beds.
Velma faces the suspects. "Now we're going to find out who's really haunting the Mystery Machine."
Daphne steps forward. "Thank you all for coming. We are gathered here tonight, to contact the spirit of Flash Flannigan. I am the grate madam Daphne."
Susan looks amused. "Where did you learn to contact spirits?"
Daphne smiles. "An infomercial, on the psychic channel. Watch this."
Daphne shifts to a mysterious tone. "Spirits, make this table rise."
The table rises into the air, and hovers for a minute before landing back on the ground.
Daphne looks pleased. "Thank you spirits."
Objects start rattling nearby. Daphne gets a look of concentration. "The spirit of Flash Flannigan is here."
Mandy looks scared.
Murph looks around. "Where is he?"
Flash's voice sounds from all around. "I am here."
Daphne faces the suspects. "Flash, we need your help. Tell us who has corrupted the Mystery Machine?"
Flash's voice sounds again. "There is only 1 person dastardly enough to corrupt my old home away from home. That person is!"
Without warning the Mystery Machine itself barrels into the park. Shaggy and Scooby jump from where they are sitting and run across the park. The van chases after them, back and forth. Suddenly the van comes to a halt.
Shaggy looks over at the van.
It stopped. How come?"
Velma points to a curtain lying across the top of the van. "Because that lead lined curtain is preventing wireless commands from getting through to its computers."
Fred glances around. "And my guess is that the person sending those commands is sitting right at this table."
Velma pulls back a tablecloth, revealing Susan holding a wireless controller.
The rest of the gang gape. "Susan Dinwiddie!"
Andy, Mandy, and Randy all gape. "Mom!"
Velma smiles. "Susan wanted the Mystery Kids to be back on top of the music world. So, she came up with this publicity stunt, to get attention for their concert."
Fred looks thoughtful. "That's why she helped Randy with his homework. So, she could learn how to control the Mystery Machine with wireless commands."
Velma nods. "When the Mystery Machine was at Murph's for repairs, Susan planted a webcam and receiver in the dashboard."
Fred gazes around at everyone. That meant she could control the Mystery Machine from anywhere. Scooby, why don't you show us how it's done."
Scooby shrugs. "Ok." Scooby Trys to drive the Mystery Machine using the controller, causing everyone, including Scooby, to laugh.
Randy takes the controller from Scooby and inputs some commands. This causes the scary music to play, and the lights to come on.
Shaggy bolts up. "Like it's that goolie greenish glow!"
Fred pats Shaggy on the back. "Relax Shaggy. There are just green colored Christmas tree lights that are plugged into the battery."
Daphne looks over to the 2 Mystery Kids. "But Andy and Mandy, why were you hanging out at Flash Flannigan's grave?"
Andy stares into Daphne's eyes. "Flash was our hero. And with our upcoming come back, we missed him. We were just visiting the grave."
Velma smiles at the kids. "But my favorite clue was that sour note that came from the van. It's the same out of tune sound that came from Susan Dinwiddie's keyboard. That means she must have recorded that eerie score, and not Flash Flannigan."
Susan looks apologetic. "Well, I never meant for the van to get so out of control. But you kids wouldn't stop meddling." She shrugs. "Doesn't matter though. The Mystery Kids are still going to be bigger than ever."
Andy exchanges a look with his sister. Mandy nods. Andy turns to his mom. "Sorry mom, but the Mystery Kids are calling it quits."
Susan's eyes fly wide open. "WHAT!"
Mandy shrugs. "If being famous again means having to go through all this. We're like totally happy being has-beens."
Mandy walks over to Randy and pulls him into a hug. "Sorry we were so hard on you Randy. From now on, all of us kids are sticking together."
As Susan is taken away by the police, the 3 kids walk off arm in arm.
Fred pats the side of the Mystery Machine. "It's nice having the good old Mystery Machine back on our side."
Murph walks over to the gang. "Eight thousand dollars, and that's my final offer."
Daphne, Velma, and Shaggy give Murph an exasperated look. "It's not for sale Murph."
Scooby shakes his head. "No way."
As the gang drives off Murph looks thoughtful. "I wonder if they still want those instruments."

Our view shifts to the gang as they walk toward the Mystery Machine parked at a drive-in movie theater. Shaggy is Carrying a large tub of popcorn. Fred is carrying drinks as he walks beside Daphne. Velma has her nose in a book as she follows them.
Shaggy looks at the Mystery Machine with fondness. "Like grate way to celebrate getting our Mystery Machine back, by taking it to the movies!"
Just as the gang reach the Mystery Machine, those eerie green lights come on, and creepy music starts playing.
Shaggy's eyes bug out. "Zoinks! The Mystery Machine is alive!"
The gang ran off at top speed. After they are out of sight, Ivy pops up from the floor. She high-fives Scooby who is sitting in the back with the wireless controller. Both of them laugh.
"Now that was a grate prank. Wasn't it Scoob?"
Scooby nods. "Scooby Dooby Doo!"
Fade to black.

An: and finally this chapter is done. As I said at the start of this chapter I down right hate this episode, but thankfully it's done.
For those who have seen the actual episode you will have noticed the major change in this chapter. That being Flash's conversation with the gang, as well as his assistance with the trap.
Thankfully I'm done with these first 5 chapters. Next time on "What's Magic Scooby Doo" we will see the changes that will throw not only Scooby canon out the window, but Potter's canon as well. Hope you all are looking forward to it.
I'll be taking the next week off, and then I will be working on `1 of my stories that has been sitting for a long time. I'll be coming back to this, but I don't know when that is.
Anyway I hope you enjoyed the chapter, and I'll see you all next time.
