"My name is Ralph, but you already know me. I'm the bad guy and wrecker from Fix-It Felix, Jr. For thirty years I was a total zero without any friends.
I thought by achieving a medal I would be a good guy. So I went into the game Hero's Duty, be quiet kid, and got a medal. Unfortunately, I stepped on a Cy-Bug egg and we both crashed into the candy kart game Sugar Rush, where I met Vanellope.
At first, she stole my medal to buy her way into the race, but after I saw that she was as ostracized as I was, I decided to help her to become a racer. During the race, it turned out the Cy-Bug I accidentally brought into Sugar Rush multiplied.
The only way to save Vanellope was to cause a beacon. So I flew to Diet Cola Mountain with Calhoun's cruiser to let the volcano erupt. Causing the eruption would have killed me if Vanellope hadn't saved me, but I knew I had to do it, I just couldn't endure the thought of her dying.
She also made another medal for me as a sign of her friendship and I realized I don't need a hero medal to be happy, so I returned it to Sergeant Calhoun. She said I can keep it if I want, due to my willingness to sacrifice myself to save Sugar Rush from the Cy-Bugs.
I told her that I appreciate it, of course, but I don't need it anymore, because I've got something more valuable: Friendship."
"I'm Fix-It Felix, Jr., from the game Fix-It Felix, Jr. I'm a maintenance man and a bit taller than the other Nicelanders. My father left me a magic hammer that fixes everything it touches, it can even heal injuries. And I'm a fixer, I fix things, professionally. Thanks to my hammer, I'm very good at what I do.
Anyhoo, what else? I'm also the Player Character, that means most of the time, the gamers actually fix the building. When they win the game, I get a medal. I have a lot of them hanging in my room. Thirty years have I been doing this and all these years, I have been very proud of my job and the medals I get.
The thing is, all those years I never really considered how Ralph felt about his job. He always gets thrown in the mud when the gamers do a good job and while I lived in the penthouse, he had to live on the dump of our game, where all of our garbage goes to.
When we celebrated the thirtieth anniversary of our game, Ralph just wanted to try a piece of cake, but Gene told him he is just the bad guy who wrecks the building unless he wins a medal.
The next day, he left our game to find a medal, which caused our game to get put out of order. On my journey to bring Ralph back, I began to realize he is more to me than just a colleague, he is my friend and brother.
We found each other again in Sugar Rush and he told me how he always felt about being the bad guy. He promised me to never abandon Fix-It Felix, Jr. again if I just fix Vanellope's kart. And so our game didn't get unplugged and also the Nicelanders now know that Ralph is a big part of the game and treat him well."
"Now listen up, because I will only say this once: I am Sergeant Tamora Jean Calhoun and my mission is to protect the arcade from the Cy-Bugs. A few weeks ago, Wreck-It stole the armor of my soldier Markowski and sneaked into Hero's Duty. Thereby he brought one of those viruses into Sugar Rush, which jeopardized the whole arcade.
Fix-It accompanied me on my mission to eliminate the Cy-Bug before it lays its filthy eggs. I was very lucky he did, because without him, I would have drowned in Nesquik-Sand. But when I found the Cy-Bug, it had already been incubating hundreds of ugly doomsday babies.
The game was going down, we had to evacuate it. After everybody escaped to Game Central Station, Wreck-It had the idea to let the volcano in Sugar Rush erupt to cause a beacon that killed all those monsters.
After the Cy-Bugs were destroyed, I fell in love with Fix-It. We got married shortly afterwards and it has made my life a lot brighter. Because now I have a real husband waiting for me while I'm fulfilling my daily mission in Hero's Duty and I no longer have to feel the constant pain from the loss of my first fiance Dr. Brad Scott as much anymore."
"My name is Vanellope von Schweetz. I'm a racer with a really cool superpower. One moment I am here and the next moment I am over there. I can glitch through walls and into the air.
I'm also president of Sugar Rush and I live in a big castle. It has a room for literally everything you can imagine. And when I stand at one of the balcones, I get the perfect view over all of Sugar Rush. I can really see everything: Diet Cola Mountain, the Candy Cane Forest, the Ice Cream Mountains and every other awesome place in Sugar Rush.
I also have a bed big enough for ten people to sleep in it, a walk-in closet full of racing suits and pink dresses. Not that I would ever wear them when I don't have to. For some reason, the developers also felt the need to make the whole wallpaper in the castle pink. I mean, who likes that kind of thing?
Not that I would ever seriously complain, of course. My life wasn't always so great. This mad racer Turbo, he must have been hiding in the bowels of Game Central Station or other games, while everyone thought he was dead. Whatever, he hacked Sugar Rush and turned me into a glitch. He prevented me from racing, the other racers often picked on me and I had to live alone in a cave.
But sometimes, miracles happen: I got to know stinkbrain Ralph and together we made a real kart for me, a wonderful kart. I bet you've never seen a kart that got decorated with a buttload of frosting. He taught me to drive and together we won the race and the original code of the game got restored.
I became the ruler of Sugar Rush again. My fellow racers were afraid I would punish them, but I didn't have the intention to do so. I mean, why should I? All I ever wanted was to be a racer and they really have changed. Now I get to race with them every day and they aren't mean to me anymore."
"So these are your friends you have told us about, Ralph." Saitine touches his shoulder and says, "I'm happy for you." Ralph replies, "Thanks, Saitine."
Ralph, Felix, Calhoun and Vanellope wanted to drop by Tapper's for a drink, before the arcade opens. After Ralph saw how Saitine and Sorceress were sitting there alone while everyone looked at them frightened, he wanted to provide them company.
Sorceress looks at Felix, Calhoun and Vanellope. "I've never before heard of good guys who want to be friends with a bad guy." Everyone in her game hates Sorceress, but since she visits the Bad Anon meetings every week, she has found support in the other bad guys and has learned to accept it.
Vanellope replies, "Enjoying your life doesn't always have to come from other people. It can just come from your own mind." Sorceress and Saitine look at each other, unsure what the kid is trying to tell them.
Felix turns to the bad guys and asks, "Your colleagues also don't know that you play an important role in your games?" Saitine shakes his head and explains to the builder, "Most good guys just don't want to have us around, but Bad Anon has helped us to come to terms with it."
Calhoun looks at her watch. "I have to interrupt you," she says. "The arcade is about to open. Move out to your games." They pay their root beer, as well as all the other different characters, Chun-Li from Street Fighter II, a Toad from VS. Super Mario Bros., Knuckles from Sonic Championship and many more.
When Ralph, Sorceress and Saitine stand up, everyone is suddenly in a hurry to get to their games. Felix has noticed this behavior quite often since he regularly spends time with Ralph. He feels sorry that the bad guys have to deal with such paranoid behavior towards them. He can't even understand it, none of them have ever caused serious harm to other people.
As the group of the six people arrives in Game Central Station, Sorceress waves goodbye and floats to her game. Saitine pats Ralph on his shoulder, "We'll see us at the next Bad Anon, right?" Ralph nods, "Yes, Saitine." Ralph also pats Saitine on the shoulder as he says goodbye.
Ralph, Felix and Calhoun accompany Vanellope to the outlet of Sugar Rush. Ralph kneels down before Vanellope and raises her chin with one giant finger. "Get out there, kid. The gamers are waiting for you."
Vanellope glitches into a hug. "You can bet your shirt on it, stinkbrain." Ralph returns the warm hug and they remain in it, until the giant gently puts Vanellope on the ground. They enthusiastically wave goodbye, before they turn around to go into their different games.
Ralph turns back to Vanellope. "Wait! I still have to ask you something." He waits until Vanellope turns around.
"Who's an adorable winner?"
The girl puts a wide grin on her face. "Me, doy. And who is the most amazing stench vessel in the arcade?" A smile appears on Ralph's face. "I guess that's me."
Felix puts all his skills as a jump n run character together, jumps as high as possible and gives his wife a goodbye kiss on her cheek. But Calhoun just looks down at Felix with the hands on her hips and a raised eyebrow and teases him, "That's all the firepower you can muster, soldier?"
Felix looks confused and a smile spreads across the sergeant's face. "Come here." The tall soldier lifts her husband up and they sink into a real kiss. Calhoun feels detached from all sorrows as the only thing she senses are her husband's lips, while Felix feels like the happiest man in the arcade.
"Enough, soldier!" Calhoun says and puts Felix back to the ground, "Your mission is to make those players happy." He replies, "No problem, done in a wink, sergeant." As the spouses go different ways to get to their work, Felix says to himself, "Jiminy jaminy. She's the perfect woman."
While Sorceress is floating to her game, Quest of Taylon, she encounters the two angel kids. "Bad guy coming!" the boy screams, takes his sister's hand and they run away in terror. For a second, she feels happy and smiles. Sorceress was programmed to enjoy it when people are afraid of her. But the problem is that it also makes her feel lonely.
"I'm bad, and that's good. I will never be good, and that's not bad. There's no one I'd rather be than me." Reciting the Bad Guy Affirmation usually makes her feel better, but this time she can't stop thinking about Wreck-It Ralph. He managed to find friends in good guys. She sighs, that sure must be nice.
Saitine stands in front of the outlet to his game with the lava river and his castle. "Home, sweet home," he says to himself and goes into the outlet. Suddenly, an alarm blares and a blue glowing pain shows up. "Step aside, Sir. Random security check," says the Surge Protector.
"Random my behind! You always stop bad guys!"
"I'm just a Surge Protector doing my job, Sir. Name?" Saitine rolls his eyes. As if he hadn't told him his name hundreds of times before. "Hellboy!"
"Name!" the security officer repeats. "Saitine," he replies, annoyed. "And where are you heading to?" the blue glowing pain asks while making nots on his clipboard. The bad guy points at the name of his game above the outlet. "Uh, Saitine's Hollow!"
"Do you have any cargo with you?" the Surge Protector continues. Now Saitine was close to getting very angry. "My trident and my hatred for you!"
"I get that a lot," the bureaucrat puts his ballpoint pen into his breast pocket. "Anything to declare?"
"Go to heaven!"
"Thank you. Proceed," the man points into the outlet. "Finally," Saitine snarls at him.
Raymond has to empty one last wastebin and then his work is finished. He takes it to his dustcart while the people are watching him and giggling. The man just ignores them, empties the bin and puts it back in front of the house where it belongs.
The owner is leaning at the fence and mocks Raymond, "Nice work, Garbage Collector." He sighs as he goes back to his dustcart. This is a typical reaction he gets when he does his job. Without him, they would all drown in garbage, but they never thank him. They just deem his job as dirty and thereby think they have the right to look down at him.
