This is a short story about my average gameplay of Sid Meire's game Civilization V, which I do not own, of course.I usually play England. I switch up the maps but usually do continents. Level 5. Raging barbarians. No time victories! (It's boring) I often add the zulus because they are so insanely war-like that they always pose a threat at some point in the game. If they spread unchecked for too long, the world will often rally together to fight a common foe. (They're fun.) I like to rush great lighthouse (it's rarely taken) and then Colossus. Don't always get that one, but I can take it by force later (sometimes). Make sea trade routes. Build a big navy to protect trade routes. Use money/ patronage tree to go for diplomacy victory (rush forbidden palace later). Everything else can change depending on how the game progresses. England is a flexible Civ, and I have won with them in every way as my primary Civ. I like expanding my empire around mid game (ship of the line baby!) And the extra spy is very underrated. But enough talk, I will now write a short story of an alternative world for the British Empire through several POV's.

This is largely based on the game I am playing now, but I have tweaked it based on previous games.

And yes, I know. this is an older game and Civ VI has been out forever. I have tried to get into it but just can't. Civ V is forever my favorite game to play even today.

This story is dedicated to all those games that hold up to the test of time.
