Chapter 2:
Gravity Falls:
Dipper and Mabel Pines are visiting their Gruncle Ford's house while he's doing his research. Ever since his brother, Stan was mysteriously killed, he's been obsessed with trying to figure out how it happened. Believing it to be something supernatural.
"You know, Gruncle Ford," says Mabel, "you could always turn this place into a tourist attraction."
Ford sighs. "That's the kind of thing Stan would've thought of."
"Gruncle Ford," says Dipper, "with all due respect, there's a scientific explanation for everything."
"That is true," says Ford, "but a true scientist excepts any possibility. When your Grunkle Stan died, he said the strangest thing to me. 'Norse Wig'. I theorize it might mean the Norse Gods."
"Right, I'm gonna go explore the woods," says Dipper.
"Okay, but be careful. Remember what your mosquito bite says."
...
Dipper was in the woods. He never believed in the supernatural. As he walked, a fly started bothering him. He tried to swat it, but he accidently hit a tree, and it opened. There's a switch. Dipper flips it and a hidden door in the ground and Dipper finds a book. He then remembers something Gruncle Ford told him.
...
"I wrote three journals about the strange things that I have seen in this town, but I hid them and thanks to this memory erasing gun, I can't remember where they are! Oh well."
...
Dipper then picks up the book. He then looks and sees a mysterious blonde girl winking at him. Dipper then blushes.
...
Dipper shows the book to Ford.
"Journal #3," says Ford, "that's right. I hid it in a compartment I hid in the ground."
"Tell us more about the blonde girl," says Mabel.
"Never mind that," says Ford, "now, listen. Don't show this book to anyone. You can't trust anyone! Like that those two!" Out the window, there is a teenage girl with red hair and a strange overweight man.
"Hey Soos."
"S'up, Wendy."
"I don't trust them."
"Gruncle Ford, why you gotta be so paranoid," asks Mabel.
"You can never be too careful," says Ford.
...
Dipper is sitting on a bench, looking at the journal.
"This is ridiculous," says Dipper.
"That looks interesting." Dipper looks and sees the mysterious blonde girl. "I'm Pacifica. What's that you got there?"
"Oh... uh... it's just a book about magical creatures and scary monsters."
"I hope you don't believe in that stuff."
"What? Of course not. It's dumb!"
"Good, I don't believe in it either. But I do like reading about it. Maybe you can come over and I can take a look at it."
"UUUUUUUUUhhhhhhhhh... sure."
Pacifica then writes her address on Dipper's hand. Winks at him again and leaves. Dipper just sits there, standing, then he gets tackled.
"What the..."
It was a strange Korean girl with glasses. "Do not bring that book over to her!"
"Wait, who are you..."
"I am Candy. Listen, there was a boy. His name was Gideon... I think he was a boy. Anyway, he was invited over to Pacifica's house, but he was never seen again! I'm warning you! Bad things happen there!" Candy then leaves.
"Are all the girls in this town mysterious?"
There's then a girl in a trench coat and hat. "Not all of us." She then disappeared into the shadows.
...
"It's not a date," says Dipper.
"Dipper, she wrote her address on your hand," says Mabel, "it's so a date. I wish I could be there, but I got my own date with this cute guy named Norman."
"I'm just showing her this book," says Dipper.
"So, what about this other girl you ran into," asks Mabel.
"She ran into me... literally! Maybe Grunkle Ford is right."
"Even about the paranormal?"
"Heck no."
...
Dipper was at Pacifica's house...I mean mansion.
"What the..."
"Didn't she tell you," asks the Butler, "she's from the Northwest Family, the richest family in all of Gravity Falls!"
"How does she fit this place in a small town like this?"
...
The butler manages to guide Dipper to Pacifica.
"Here's the book," says Dipper.
"Great, thanks. Why don't you sit here?"
Dipper then hears a strange sound. "What was..."
"I really appreciate it." Pacifica then kisses Dipper on the cheek and Dipper froze.
...
When Dipper finally came to, he had a phone call.
"Hello?"
"Dipper, Norman stood me up! Mind if I come over?"
"Sure, I copied the address down on a piece of paper," says Dipper.
"Thanks, bye."
Dipper then hangs up and sees Candy and screams.
"Did you give her the book," asks Candy.
"Yes... why?"
"Follow me." Candy then grabs Dipper's hand and pulls him away.
...
"Look, I don't know what you're..."
Candy turns on the lights and Dipper sees they're in a room full of caged creatures.
"Help us," says a Gnome.
"Are... are... are they real supernatural creatures?"
"I was surprised too," says Candy, "I was wondering why Pacifica wants these books so badly, but then I found this room."
"Okay, so I'm sure there's a logical reason..."
"Excuse me," says the butler, "is this your sister."
"Woah, Dipper, look at all this... hey, that gnome over there kind of looks like Norman."
...
Dipper, Mabel, and Candy are on a couch, tied up, while Pacifica stands in front of them.
"So, here's the thing," says Pacifica, "it all started when my Dad learned one of the journals had information that reveals our ancestor did not found this dumb town. So, he took out your Great-Uncle Stan, the guy who had Journal 1. He kept it and I learned this town is full of supernatural creatures! Monsters! Abominations! So, I've been capturing them so I wouldn't have to worry about their grossness ruining my perfection. My dad then learned that boy, Gideon... wait, was he a boy? Anyway, he had #2..." Mabel snickers. "Grow up. My dad had to get rid of him too."
"How old was he," asks Dipper.
"I don't know... 10... maybe? Anyway, I've been using the journals to learn more about the supernatural creatures, so I can capture them and lock them up. My Dad thinks I've been burning them... well, I have... after I learn about the monsters I have to lock up."
"You are doing this because they are different," says Candy.
"Hey, normal and abnormal should not live on the same planet."
"They have a right as much as we do," says Mabel.
"Dipper, because I do think you're cute, I'm giving you this option. Leave the book or I'll let my Dad kill you!"
"Sorry, but you have to be stopped," says Dipper.
"Oh well. I'll just tell my Dad the third bookworm is here." Pacifica then looks in the book as she walks. "That bear has way too many heads."
"I should've known," says Dipper, "I mean, there's no way a girl like that could really be interested in me."
"Don't be too hard on yourself," says Candy, "you are an intelligent boy. Just kind of gullible. You are also a good-looking boy. You'll find someone." Candy then puts her hand on Dipper's shoulder.
"Thanks... wait, how is your arm..."
Mabel gasps. "You're free!"
"I get tied up alot. This is not my first rodeo."
"OOOOkkkkaaaayyyy," says Dipper, "let's go free those creatures!"
...
"We gotta get out of here," says a Gnome.
"You said it, Shmebulock," says Jeff.
Dipper, Mabel, and Candy then sneak in and open all the cages.
...
"I always forget about the pits in these pit cola..." Pacifica then sees all the creatures. "...cans?"
The creatures then all run out.
...
Dipper, Mabel, and Candy are at Ford's house.
"That was amazing," says Mabel.
"We just freed an army of magical creatures from a rich person's house," says Dipper.
"Well, I must go now," says Candy as she leaves and Dipper watches.
"Woah, you looking at Candy," asks Mabel.
"What? No! Let's go in," says Dipper.
...
Dipper and Mabel enter and see Ford talking to the two people from earlier.
"Dipper, Mabel, turns out I was wrong about Soos and Wendy. They're okay," says Ford.
...
They are all being watched by a ghost that looks like Ford with five fingers. "They're gonna do alright. Did he really think I said, 'Norse Wig'? I said Northwest! Some brainiac."
The End
