-[Police Station]-
Kenji Tsuragamae sat in his office looking at the medical report from their forensic team who were hard at work trying to ascertain what exactly those creatures they captured were.
The answers they had gotten so far were unpleasant. Staring at the three files in front of him which showed three individuals whose DNA were an exact match for the monsters.
The fact that they couldn't be found only pointed to a more disturbing answer. The monsters were once human.
Granted that they were Yakuza, the fact that they attacked their own people was staggering.
'Was it an experiment gone wrong or something else?' The chief of police frowned as he recalled the rumors about a quirk enhancing drug that drove the users insane almost instantly.
'Could it be that?' He wondered, looking at the files.
He'd have to get his men to test for it in their system to either confirm or deny his thoughts. For the moment, all he could do was wait and make guesses.
Putting the files to the side, he eyed the report about a new vigilante that was seen last night beating up a few thugs.
'This job doesn't get any easier.'
-[Ryota]-
He sat in a private room, a man with short gray hair and circular glasses sat opposite him. He held a cigarette between his lips, showing a missing tooth.
"This was much sooner than I expected, Giran." Ryota said, the man in front of him chuckling.
"It's a standard. I can't be sloppy with my clients when it comes to business after all." Giran said, showing a smug smirk. "So what can I do for you?"
"You seem awfully tamer than your reputation portrays you to be. Is anything the matter?" Ryota asked with a knowing look.
"Nothing at all. It's just that I expected to be speaking with the current head of the Kyodokai." Giran said.
"I'll suffice for now." Ryota said, not offended at all.
"A client is still a client. Your name is growing quite steadily in the underbelly of Japan. The young heir who had a hand in the latest spectacle." Giran revealed, his smug grin still present. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you."
It wasn't surprising that he had ears even inside the Yakuza. Ito and the rest of them weren't exactly quiet in their search for him. Rumors of him having orchestrated the downfall of the Matsuba gang were floating around.
There was no concrete evidence but there were those who were sure that he was responsible for it, they just didn't know how.
His quirk was an unknown factor to even those in the Kyodokai. All they had were guesses as to what it was from what they'd seen so far.
"The pleasure is all mine. A man such as yourself has many connections. I want you to find someone of interest." Ryota spoke casually.
"And who would that be?"
"I believe he currently goes by Dabi. It shouldn't be too hard for you to find him." He saw the slight surprise in Giran's eyes before he hid it.
"I'm surprised you know about him, considering the fact that he isn't particularly well known as of yet." Giran said, taking a puff of his cigarette.
Ryota smirked in response. "I like knowing about things. Can you do it?"
"You wouldn't be asking me to do this if you doubted me, would you?" The info broker shot back.
"As for payment, you'll get that when you deliver. But before that, there's something else I need you to do for me." Ryota said mysteriously.
-[Daichi]-
He'd done a lot of thinking about his new situation. After days of returning to the club to look for the white haired bartender, he'd given up hope of seeing him again.
The things he said while under the influence of booze were true but that didn't stop his hesitation. He wasn't a pro hero, he was a detective.
He should be catching criminals and putting them behind bars. Arresting law breakers was his job.
Yet, he couldn't stop himself from his new nightly activities. The dark ski mask and hood he wore hid his identity as he knocked out a thug with only two punches.
He was by no means a professional fighter but his newfound strength was more than enough for him to endure their blows and return them much stronger.
"Just who is this guy?!" One of them said, taking a deep breath and exhaling a powerful gust of wind that pushed the masked vigilante back.
Daichi just barely managed to aim at the man's mouth, his years of gun usage paying off as he fired webbing at the man's lips, sealing it shut.
The thugs were suspected to be part of a crime syndicate the police was currently investigating but had no concrete proof to bring them in for questioning.
Throwing a punch that knocked out the man beside him, Daichi focused on the lone conscious man among them who had his mouth webbed and was struggling to pry it off.
"You're going to tell me what I need to know." He said, making his voice as deep as he possibly could as he stomped towards him.
-[Musutafu]-
Minoru Mineta was a timid and perverted young boy with dreams of being a hero to sate his lust for the female gender.
He'd even managed to pass the entrance exam to get into the most prestigious hero high school in Japan.
Nobody thought he could do it but he proved them wrong. His parents supported him in being a hero despite their exasperation at his perverse nature.
They were still in a celebratory mood in regards to his admission into U.A. and he wasn't any different.
'Is someone burning something?' He thought, seeing a thin rising pillar of smoke in the distance.
Little did he know that his excitement was going to end soon.
He was unprepared for the sight that awaited him as he returned to his home after being sent to buy groceries.
Upon getting within sight range of the Mineta household, he stood stock still as he saw that his home had been set ablaze.
The walls had been heavily damaged and broken as if destroyed by something other than the flames.
"M-mom? D-dad?" He croaked out, taking a step back in fear and disbelief.
"Unfortunate, isn't it?" A voice said from beside him, shaking him out of his skin.
He jumped away in fear of the unknown person, taking a closer look to see a teen with hair that was white on one side and black on the other.
"W-who a-are y-you?!" He screamed in fear.
"Their deaths were a necessary sacrifice. I always wondered what it would be like to play the hero." The dual haired teen said, stalking towards Minoru. "Every true hero needs a tragic backstory so I decided to create one for myself. After all, you heroes have the most interesting quirks."
"W-what are you saying you creep?!" Minoru screamed, taking quick but staggered steps away.
"Yours isn't too interesting but I'm sure I can make use of it, Minoru Mineta." The teen said.
Before Minoru could do anything in response, the other teen was already in front of him, grabbing his face roughly.
He didn't know what was happening but he struggled with all the might he could muster which was very little.
Time wasn't something he kept track of but after some time of struggling, he heard the dual haired teen chuckle.
"That should be all of it. Don't worry, you will be remembered." The teen said.
That was the last thing Minoru heard before he lost all feeling in his body.
It took time for the police, ambulance and heroes to arrive at the scene. It wasn't a pleasant sight. The house was burnt down to the ground and the bodies of two adults were found in the remains, burnt and charred.
It was with deep sadness that the pro hero Death Arms lifted the burnt pieces of wood from the bodies to extract the corpses.
"We were too late. What happened here?" He wondered sadly as he carried their bodies out. 'Was it a natural fire?'
His eyes traveled to the parts of the burnt building that were damaged rather than burnt. 'A villain attack? Did they target them specifically or were they after something else?'
"There's someone alive here!" One of the heroes called out from inside the house.
"He must have witnessed what happened. Get him into the ambulance!"
He rushed to the scene of paramedics surrounding a teen on the floor. The oddest thing about it was that his entire body was covered in a layer of purple substance.
That wasn't the only odd thing. 'His clothes look a bit charred but those are tears not burns. Aren't those clothes too small for him?' He thought as they tried to lift him only for them to get stuck to the purple substance in their attempts.
'If we can at least save one person…'
-[Ryota]-
He held in his smirk as he faked unconsciousness. While looking into the members of the Kyodokai, he found that a large number of them had quirks that were borderline useless.
Some of them didn't know the full extent of their own abilities making it more useless. He'd found a diamond in the rough in the form of a memory extraction quirk.
It worked by making contact with the target's forehead through pores in the palm to extract said memories.
He'd extracted Minoru's memories of his childhood and life up until now before 'scanning' the biological components of his quirk.
The balls that made up his hair were biological in nature, making it even easier to manipulate with his skill set.
He'd then killed him before turning him into biomass, absorbing it and shapeshifting his body to match Minoru's appearance and DNA. He needed a way to get into U.A and Minoru was his ticket in.
Though, he'd made some changes to the appearance, leaving the tiny babyish body to a more aged and teenage body.
'His parents killed by Villains and him witnessing their death…what better situation would there be for his quirk to evolve, forcing his body to evolve accordingly.' He thought sinisterly, holding in his laugh.
'U.A, here I come.'
