-[Daichi]-
There was a tense atmosphere in his office as he looked over the reports from the fire incident that happened a few days ago.
'I still don't understand what kind of person would do this.' He lamented mentally, analyzing every detail he could.
A house was burnt down by a mysterious fire, leaving two residents dead and a single survivor; fifteen year old Mineta Minoru.
The autopsy report, along with the investigation, showed that while Mineta Minoru's parents were killed by the fire, the start of the fire was no accident.
House fires are usually started from the kitchen but this was different. The stove and other fire causing equipment showed the initial damage came from the outside rather than inside.
Daichi frowned as he picked up another file. It was a testimony from Minoru who had been in a state of mental shock for the past few days since his awakening, not leaving the hospital bed.
According to his testimony, Minoru was on his way home from buying groceries when he saw someone in a yellow hazmat suit and a flamethrower rushing away from the scene.
All he remembered after that was running in to try and save them only to see them burn to death before his very eyes. After that….nothing.
"Poor kid. He was supposed to start at U.A next week." Daichi muttered.
The doctors said that his quirk had evolved, becoming even stronger and his body grew with it. 'It's a shame it happened under these circumstances.'
His eyes hardened while glaring at the files. The police department hadn't found any individual who fit that description but that wouldn't stop him from searching.
'With great power comes great responsibility. Leave this to me Minoru, I'll bring your parent's murderer to justice! Daichi declared to himself.
-[Toshinori Yagi]-
The shrunken hero waited in line at a supermarket to get some groceries. Though his injuries affected his digestion, that didn't completely stop him from eating.
After all, he needed his energy if he was going to continue fighting villains.
Despite the warnings and his decreasing time limit, he couldn't bring himself to not take action when he could.
That was becoming a regular thing at the moment. Something strange was going on in Musutafu and he didn't like it.
There was a spike in villain activity and they weren't petty criminals, these were villains who were out to destroy whatever they saw.
After what happened to Master Binder, he couldn't allow the people's faith in heroes to dwindle.
'Young Midoriya…you have a long road ahead of you.' He'd already passed on his quirk to the green haired child.
Now he had to nurture him to become a great hero.
*BOOM!*
A sudden explosion shook him out of his thoughts as the building caved in from the ceiling, a muscled humanoid monstrosity with red skin smashing its way inside.
"Aaaarrrrghhhhhh!!!" It roared, sending waves of panic throughout the supermarket as the citizens scrambled to get away.
Toshinori's eyes widened in disbelief as he just barely dodged a piece of debris that would have severely injured him.
"Another one?! That's the third one today!" He cursed, his body emitting some steam.
The situation didn't allow anyone to keep track of anything other than their own safety, allowing him to transform into his muscular, and more heroic, form to fight.
"Fear not! Why?" Toshinori spoke, his voice booming loudly, catching everyone's attention. "Because I am here!"
"It's All Might!"
"Thank heavens! We're saved!"
There were numerous exclamations of relief at his sudden appearance. His mere presence served to calm them down.
'I can't waste too much time. I'll soon reach my limit!' Toshinori thought, the grin on his face hiding his thoughts as the monster finally took notice of him.
"Come at me!" The blond hero taunted, rushing towards the creature.
-[Ryota]-
He was impressed.
"You work fast, Giran." Ryota praised, looking at the information broker who showed a crooked smile.
"Like I said before, it's a standard." Giran said, taking a sip from the cup in front of him and gesturing to the third person at the table. "I have delivered."
"As discussed, your payment." Ryota said, after a few taps of his phone.
Giran's phone beeped for a moment, catching the man's attention. The info broker let out a low whistle at the notification that popped up on his phone.
"A pleasure doing business with you." Giran said with satisfaction.
"Now then, Dabi." Ryota said, looking at the scarred dark haired young man who had been silent so far. "I'll get straight to the point."
Though his body language still conveyed casual behavior, the look in his eyes changed as he spoke.
"Come and work for me."
Dabi scrutinized him for a moment before sneering. "Hell no."
Giran choked on his drink a bit but otherwise stayed silent.
"I figured that would be your answer. Giran, you can leave if you want, this might get messy." Ryota warned the man who nodded quickly before downing his drink in one go.
As Giran quickly exited the bar they were currently in, Ryota and Dabi were locked in a staredown.
"Are you sure you won't consider it?" Ryota asked.
"Why would I work for a brat? You can take your offer and shove it." Dabi retorted with clear hostility in his eyes.
Ryota chuckled at that. "That's a shame…Toya." He said, his eyes brimming with amusement as a large wave of blue flames immediately assaulted him.
The customers in the bar screamed in fright as a few of them were caught in the blast, dying immediately.
"Hm." Dabi hummed with a frown. He turned to leave only to pause in surprise as he heard Ryota chuckling through the flames.
"A bit jumpy, aren't we?" Ryota's voice came through the flames.
In the next moment, Dabi felt something knock the air out of his lungs. His eyes went out of focus before finally landing on Ryota who stood in front of him without a single scratch or burn on his body or clothes, his fist buried in his gut.
"H-howw…" Dabi stuttered, blue flames flaring around his body.
Before the flames could burst outwards, Ryota landed a powerful kick to his sternum, sending him crashing into the wall.
They were currently at a bar, one that had no affiliation with the Kyodokai so Ryota wasn't bothered about the damage.
"I only wanted to talk but I can do this all day if that's what you want." He said as Dabi struggled to get up.
"How do you know that name?" The dark haired youth questioned with barely restrained anger.
"That's not important. What's important is what I plan to do with that information." Ryota said, taking a seat on one of the very few undamaged chairs.
Dabi mumbled loud enough for him to hear. "What?"
"Imagine how the world would react if your identity became public." The dual haired teen said, seeing Dabi's eyes narrow. "We have a common goal"
At that moment, he knew he had Dabi's attention.
"What we both want…is to see Endeavor suffer."
"And how do you plan on doing that?" Dabi asked tentatively.
Within moments, Ryota was in front of Dabi, causing him to flinch and his eyes widened. "We'll start by fixing you up."
The yakuza heir placed his hand on the scarred youth's chest. A second later, to Dabi's surprise, his scarred body began to heal.
After a full minute, Dabi's skin was brand new. Even the injuries dealt by Ryota were completely gone.
Dabi looked at his healed skin in amazement. "H-how..?"
He looked up to see Ryota smirking at him. "You're free to abuse your quirk and burn yourself as much as you wish. I'll fully sanction you, as long as you work for me." The dual haired teen said, watching Dabi's eyes move from him to his healed body.
"What's stopping me from just leaving right now? You've already healed me." Dabi asked, tensing but Ryota's smirk didn't dim in the slightest.
"Because I'll kill you." He answered simply, Dabi's eyes tightening in response. "You're stubborn but not stupid. You're the kind of stubborn bastard who won't let up until you get what you want."
"So what will it be? Come and work for me." He spoke again.
Dabi had a look of contemplation, closing his eyes for a moment as he seemed to really consider it.
The youth's eyes suddenly shot open as his arm lashed out, bursting with blue flames. "Go to hell!" Dabi yelled, about to let loose a powerful blast only to grunt in pain.
His eyes widened as he found that his arm was violently ripped out of its socket.
"That's a shame." Ryota said, forcing his attention to the boy who casually held the amputated arm. "I've already gotten what I needed."
Before Dabi could question what he meant, his eyes widened once more, his shoulder slacking in fear as blue flames danced around Ryota's palms.
"H-how?!"
Ryota simply smirked, leveling his palm to face him. "You have such a powerful quirk. It would be a shame to let it go to waste."
The flames intensified, firing out even stronger than what Dabi used earlier. Barely a second later, Dabi was burned to death, not even leaving ashes to fall.
'I would have liked to have a card to throw at the heroes but things don't always work out.' Ryota thought as he turned to leave, remembering how Dabi worked for his own goals, even going as far as betraying anyone if need be. 'At least I got something for it.'
He eyed Dabi's arm in his grasp, easily lighting it on fire and watching it burn to ashes.
"Still…I'd like a proper fight." He could hear the police sirens along with that of the fire truck closing in.
As he turned to move, he paused with a confused frown, looking to the side. Suddenly, a blast of fire shot through the wall beside him, enveloping him and further destroying the building.
As the blast stopped, a tall and muscular man with short crimson hair and a beard of fire stomped into the scene.
"It's over, villain!"
His eyes narrowed as Ryota walked out of the flames totally unharmed.
"Well this is ironic. Speak of the devil and he shall appear." He muttered loud enough for Endeavor to hear.
The hero's eyes narrowed for a moment. "A child?" He murmured in confusion.
"Disappointed?" Ryota asked, straightening his clothes.
"Surrender and this will be over quickly!" Endeavor ordered forcefully, only succeeding in making the boy smirk.
"Perhaps you'll give me a proper fight. Let's have a contest of firepower!" Ryota declared, arms aside and lit with blue fire.
