-[Akane]-

Sitting in a helicopter wearing a headset and a microphone grasped in her hand, she controlled her trembling as they made their way to the commotion.

She had been a reporter for many years so she wasn't new to rushing towards villain fights to cover the story. She'd been doing that a lot lately as the rate of villain fights suddenly increased in Musutafu.

All Might, the symbol of peace, was always there to save the day with a smile on his face.

Sometimes she wasn't able to get there in time before the fight finished. This time, rather than All Might, Endeavor was taking on the villain.

The brief blasts of flames in the distance was what guided the news crew as they made their way there.

"Is that…a kid?" The camera man muttered in disbelief.

"What's wrong?" She asked in confusion.

"The villain! He's just a kid!" The man exclaimed in shock and confusion.

Akane immediately shoved him to the side, looking through the camera to see where it was pointed. To her surprise, it was focused on a boy with neck length black and white hair.

'What the hell?!' She thought, looking through the zoomed lens of the camera. Her eyes widened further. 'Is he…smiling?!'

-[Ryota]-

His face showed an excited grin as Endeavor let loose a powerful stream of fire. Reaching into the flames, he fired his recently acquired blue fire, parting the flames and attacking at the same time.

The flame themed hero easily dodged it by jumping to the side only to narrow his eyes as Ryota dashed in front of him at absurd speed.

Ryota threw a punch that connected with Endeavor's forearm which had gone up in time, yet, the force behind it sent the man flying.

While he didn't expect it, Endeavor managed to maneuver himself and take off into the sky before descending towards Ryota, fire blazing brightly.

"That's what I'm talking about!" Ryota yelled, facing his palms downwards and shooting off in a trail of blue flames to meet his opponent.

Endeavor's eyes narrowed as he readied his fists. "Flashfire Fist…" Concentrating his flames on his fists, he threw his arms forward. "…Hell's Curtain!"

His fists emitted a massive blanket of flames on to Ryota who pushed forwards with a grin on his face. The attack enveloped him fully, leaving no chance of escape.

Seeing this, Endeavor relaxed a bit. Barely a few moments later, a figure burst through the flames, propelled by blue flames of their own.

This time, the hero wasn't fast enough to react as Ryota shot past him, extended claws digging into the pro hero's stomach as he did.

Endeavor grit his teeth in pain and that moment was enough for Ryota to get behind him, arms clasped above him as he smashed the flame hero downwards to the ground.

The pavement cracked beneath Enji as he landed painfully, unable to stop himself. He rolled out of the way as Ryota descended as well, his legs smashing into where the hero's head once was and breaking the concrete beneath.

"Is that all you can muster, 'hero'?" Ryota taunted, countering a blast of fire with his own.

He saw Endeavor frown painfully as blood dripped from his wounds. "Be quiet!" The hero sneered, flames burning brighter than before. "I underestimated you because you were a child. No more of that. This ends here!"

His words only served to amuse his dual haired opponent. "That's fine by me. That means I can stop holding back as well!"

Manipulating the muscles in his body to be as strong as possible, he gave a predatory smirk. He was a blur as he moved forward, his fist connecting with Endeavor's jaw.

The man was sent flying into and through the building behind him. Ryota followed closely behind, jumping after him and firing a powerful burst of blue flames that melted the glass and went straight for the hero.

The screams of death and fear were ignored as he took chase. Powerful flames propelled Endeavor as he came shooting towards Ryota, fist engulfed in flames.

As soon as he got close, he found his eyes shouting wide. "Chains?!" Endeavor wondered as he canceled his attack, just barely dodging the pointed end of a chain that aimed to pierce his face.

'Where did the chains come from?!' The high number of unknowns in the fight kept the hero on his toes but it didn't stop him from being surprised.

Ryota lunged at Endeavor, the pro hero managing to dodge a blow to his face only to receive a kick that reverberated throughout his skull and sent him through the ceiling.

Ryota raised his palms upwards, blue flames gathering around it for a moment before he released a concentrated blast of fire that burned through everything in its path as it creeped towards Endeavor whose eyes widened.

Releasing his own flames beneath him, Endeavor was able to move out of the way.

"Where's all that confidence you had before?" Ryota mocked, looking around at the destruction their fight had caused.

Endeavor frowned, not allowing his injuries slow him down much. "Don't get cocky!" He managed to say, most growling at the casual smile on Ryota's face.

The boy looked like he was having the time of his life. Enji tried to finish the fight as soon as possible and contain the damage but the boy had other plans as he attacked with reckless abandon.

He dodged a blast of fire as Ryota leaped up with incredible strength, meeting him midair. The boy's foot lashed out to meet Enji's face, the force of the blow almost knocking him out but he managed to stay conscious, though just barely.

He was barely prepared for the flurry of powerful punches that connected one after the other, each ringing out loud through the air. The final punch sent him crashing down towards another building destroying part of it.

As if that wasn't enough, what happened next wouldn't be easily forgotten as Ryota descended, his entire body bursting with flames almost as bright as the sun.

It continued to glow brighter until he hit the ground, destroying a large part of the surroundings as a large wave of blue fire exploded outward.

Nothing was spared as everything in a few blocks radius went up in bright blue flames.

After that, the world went silent. There were no sounds of battle, only the flickering of flames as they consumed whatever they touched.

It didn't take long for the heroes to arrive at the scene. Some had tried earlier only to be done in by the flames.

Those that managed to survive were seriously injured. With such a scene of destruction came the news crew to report the story.

The unconscious, bloody and battered body of the number two hero, Endeavor, laid amidst the rubble and the villain, nowhere to be found.

He quietly made his way back to the Kyodokai headquarters, barely managing to keep the borderline crazed grin off his face.

Making his skin fireproof while also enhancing his muscles was a wonderful combination for an opponent like Endeavor who relied on his flames.

'That was fun!' He thought. 'This feeling of unrestrained strength…I love this!'

As he entered the building, he found the ground floor to be completely empty, save for his grandfather who held a serious expression on his face.

"What happened? Did you fire everyone?" Ryota asked, slowly putting a lid on his excitement for now.

Ito was silent for a moment before a heavy sigh left his mouth. "Of all the things you could do, you went and picked a fight with Endeavor. Foolish boy."

"What are you talking about? I won." Ryota said with a raised brow.

"At what cost?!" Ito demanded. "Because of you, the Kyodokai will be put under more pressure, if we don't face direct retaliation from the heroes."

Ryota's smirk came back at full force. "Let them come. I'll kill them all." He said with a laugh.

Ito had a look of acceptance on his face. "This is all my fault. I was so happy that you changed that I didn't reprimand you for your actions. Allow me to change that." He said, a resolute expression as he waved his finger in front of him.

Ryota's eyes widened in confusion as he felt an invisible force hack at his arm, cleanly cutting it off from his shoulder.

"Hmm?" Ryota hummed in silent questioning as Ito made the same motion, this time, his left arm joined its pair on the ground.

"So that's your quirk." He muttered to himself, his amusement and jolly nature bleeding away quickly as his arms grew back at visible speed.

If Ito was surprised by that, he didn't show it as he cut off Ryota's left arm once again.

"I just went toe to toe with Endeavor. Do you really want to do this?" Ryota asked.

"A feat that would no doubt leave you tired, making you easier to kill. I'm sorry but you're too much of a liability." Ito said, about to attack again only to freeze as Ryota was immediately in front of him, palm on his chest.

"Not as tired as you might think." Ryota said as Ito's arms immediately burst in a small shower of blood and flesh. "You should have thought this through."
