Hey, everyone!
Welcome to chapter 10 of My Hero Academia Illegals: Vigilante Dark Drive.
Hope you guys enjoy it!

"Super Moves!"
{Television}
"I'm not your enemy. I'm not looking for trouble here."
Kamen Rider Tracer calmly speaks as she now finds herself surrounded by the police forces, led by Tsukauchi, and the Rabbit Hero Mirko.
"Not only vigilantism, but you just committed murder right in front of us." Tsukauchi tells her in a heavy tone. "We now have one more reason, a very serious one, to not let you go, Kamen Rider. You're under arrest."
Strangely enough, Naomasa's [Lie Detector] Quirk did react to Tracer's statement as truth.
But why exactly?
A part of him now felt like a hypocrite about this since the masked woman literally just saved their lives from a very dangerous Villain. However, the crime of murder is the gravest one ever that could be committed by a person.
Regardless of someone's intentions, it can't go unpunished…
"So we're doing this the hard way, huh?" Mirko asks the new vigilante with a ferocious grin, cracking her knuckles.
She now imagines herself kicking Tracer's helmet and shattering it, finding out the mysterious woman's true identity.
Who is the one beneath that mask? Time to find out!
"Quick! Restrain her before she causes a [Slowdown]!" Tsukauchi orders his men as all the other officers charge at Tracer.
Quickly deducing that the female was similar to Dark Drive and Lupin, the detective correctly understands that she must also have the ability to distort time around her surroundings as well. If that was really the case, then they couldn't play this carefully. Everyone needs to capture Tracer before she literally becomes untouchable.
'It's just like that one time with the Villain that had the [Overclock] Quirk.' Naomasa thinks, recalling a certain nasty individual he had to deal with a few years ago back at Naruhata.
However...
*Zoom!* *Whoop!*
"Ahh!"
"She's fast!"
"Get her!"
Unfortunately, despite their numerical advantage and even after blocking all the possible escape routes that the Kamen Rider could use, the cops were still having a hard time even laying a single finger on her.
And Tracer wasn't even fighting back against them. She mainly performed several acrobatic moves as she left everyone else behind to eat dust.
Everyone except one person.
"Damn it! Hold still!" Mirko cries as she runs after the Kamen Rider, being the only one able to keep up with the other woman's speed.
'I wouldn't expect any less from the No. 5 Pro Hero, her natural speed is insane!' Tracer observes as she avoids all of Rumi's attempts of kicking her on the head.
She then finds an opening and suddenly grabs the tanned bunny's leg while in mid-air before spinning, to grab some momentum, as she next throws Rumi away, making the Pro Hero fall on a group of cops that was approaching them.
*Thud!*
"Urgh..." Rumi grunts as she lays on a pile of police officers.
*Vroom!*
Suddenly, a bike comes into view, arriving on the scene through an autopilot system.
If one looked closely, they would notice that it is a Rider Machine that shares the same colors as Kamen Rider Tracer, also happening to be a modified version of Kamen Rider Mach's personal motorcycle - The Ride Macher. But unlike the latter, this new Rider Machine also had a sidecar attached to it.
This is the Ride Tracer, Kamen Rider Tracer's personal Rider Machine that Krim Steinbelt prepared for her. Just like Mach's Ride Macher and Mashin Chaser's Ride Chaser, this vehicle is based upon a Honda NM4-01 motorcycle.
It is mainly dark blue colored, having white lines across it. An energy turret could be seen installed on its front part.
"Luna Fall!" Mirko cries as she suddenly appears behind Tracer, ready to execute a Super Move on the vigilante.
She swings her foot downwards while she is above her opponent, trying to drive her target straight into the ground beneath her feet with a mighty kick.
But the Kamen Rider was ready for it as she delivered a scissor kick back at Mirko after jumping towards the Pro Hero.
*Crash!*
The women's kicks connect as their clash causes a shockwave, sending some of the nearby police officers flying away.
'What power!' Tsukauchi thinks as he braces himself for the impact, protecting his face with his arms.
Rumi grits her teeth as she tries to push Tracer back, towards the ground. But she eventually ends up losing their power struggle as she ends up being the one kicked away by Tracer's kick.
*Smack!* *Thud!*
"Argh!" Rumi cries as she falls down on the ground, rolling around for a few meters while her adversary lands safely.
To further lose her pursuers and before she can use her new bike to escape, Tracer summons smoke grenades in her hands, the same model used by the police force, and throws them at the others.
*Bang!* *Poof!*
"*Cough!* *Cough!* Argh, I can't see anything!"
"She can make a smokescreen too!?"
"Where is she!?"
Most of the cops end up losing sight of the vigilante as the smokescreen she created is enough to keep them busy for now.
However, there were still others, like Tsukauchi, who were still willing to go far in order to capture the female Kamen Rider.
"Stop!" The black-haired detective cries to the vigilante, aiming his revolver at her.
But before he can give a warning shot, Shift Burning Solar gets in the way and blinds him with intense light, temporarily making Naomasa unable to see anything.
*Flash!*
"Argh! My eyes!"
Other similar situations around the area happen as other Shift Cars and the Signal Bikes show up to stall the police forces without causing any serious damage to any of them.
Fire Braver gets in Tamakawa's way and sprays fire-dousing foam at the man cat.
Next Hunter gets in Kaniko's way and traps her inside a cage. Her Quirk is unable to cut the hard bars.
"Ah! Get it off me!"
"Let me out of here!"
They both cried, respectively.
Tracer was getting closer to her Rider Machine and was about to drive away when a certain loud familiar voice cries behind her…
"I'm not done yet!" Mirko yells as she was about to body slam the female vigilante.
*Deco Traveller's theme~*
But before the bunny heroine's blow could connect, strong purple energy chains suddenly appear and wrap themselves around her legs, making Rumi lose the balance of her body as she faceplants hard against the floor.
*Smack!* *Thud!*
"Ugh..." Rumi moans in pain from her position.
She then looks to see who was responsible for this, finding out that it was a Shift Car themed after a dekotora(decoration truck). And just like Next Builder and Next Hunter, this Shift Car was mainly black with cyan details across it, having an extra detail of purple linings and wheels to complete its design.
This is Shift Next Traveller.
Based on a dekotora, Shift Deco/Next Traveller is a sentient Type Technic Shift Car which allows Dark Drive to gain the Deco Traveller Shift Tire. By itself, it can either use chains to wrap around something or use the many lights installed in the Shift Car to illuminate dark places as well as play enka music.
When used in Mashin Chaser's Break Gunner, his background changes into a kabuki-style performance stage and disorients him.
'Damn minicar!' Mirko curses as she watches the one responsible for tying chains around her legs go away while playing its enka tune.
And now, with nobody else to get in her way, Kamen Rider Tracer gets on the Ride Tracer and immediately drives away, no longer wasting any more time as she quickly leaves the premises.
*Vroom!*
Once Tracer was finally out of their reach, the curtain of smoke she caused dissipated at last.
And the Shift Cars and Signal Bikes take this as their cue to stop distracting the cops and leave this area as well.
As Tsukauchi recovers from his temporary loss of eyesight, he checks over his subordinates, being glad to see that nobody was seriously injured by the vigilante's tricks and that everyone was fine.
Their only unfortunate casualties were caused by the now-dead Beast Roidmude.
'The new Kamen Rider… She seems to be like the black one… Why can't I help but get the feeling that she was also holding back? Is it because we are not much of a threat for her?' Naomasa ponders as he looks around for any possible clues that the new vigilante may have left behind.
"Rargh!"
*Crack!*
The detective stops what he is doing as he and the others hear a cry of rage, turning towards the source of it. They all saw how Mirko was still struggling to break the energy chains that Next Traveller used earlier on her.
"Damn it!" She punched the ground, gritting her teeth in frustration.
A rabbit that can't use her legs to run is useless.
She lost! And she experienced defeat at the hands of a new vigilante, and not from a Villain.
This felt so much worse for Rumi, but she doesn't understand why exactly yet…
'This is not over yet, Kamen Rider! I will get you the next time we meet! Just you wait!' The Rabbit Hero vows as she starts to look at Kamen Rider Tracer in a new way.
Like a potential rival and worthy opponent of sorts...
With Tracer…
The female Kamen Rider rushes back to the back alley where she transformed for the first time.
Making sure there was nobody else nearby, the new vigilante calls her transformation off.
In order to have the Mach Driver Honoh cancel the transformation, Tracer must raise the Signal Landing Panel, remove the Signal Bike currently placed in the Mach Driver Honoh, and push the Signal Landing Panel back down.
[Otsukare(Nice work)!] The Mach Driver Honoh announces as Yuriko removes the device from her waist.
She then sighs in relief and leans her back against the wall.
The rookie detective then looks at her Signal Tracer and smiles at it in victory.
She finally did it!
Not only has she transformed into a Kamen Rider, just like how Tomari-san did, but she also defeated her first Advanced Roidmude enemy as well. The only downside is that the police and Mirko saw her in action and it's only a matter of time before word spreads around about Kamen Rider Tracer's existence.
But she doesn't regret what she did. If Yuriko hadn't done anything back then, Tsukauchi, Mirko and everyone else back then could've all been killed by the Beast Roidmude.
"This is it… My tale as a Kamen Rider begins now!" Yuriko declares determinedly.
My Hero Academia Illegals: Vigilante Dark Drive
Drive 10: Behind one's resolve
Midoriya Apartment
The next day, in the following morning…
With another morning, a new day begins.
Izuku and Inko were having breakfast together as the green-haired boy thought about the internship he will have with Gran Torino, All Might's mentor.
Hero Agency Internships is a program that allows U.A. students to enroll in internships with Pro Hero Agencies.
Pro Heroes who take an interest in certain U.A. students who performed well in the U.A. Sports Festival can offer them a chance to intern with them through a draft. Pros normally draft second or third-year students, but Class 1-A and Class 1-B had exceptional performances that made heroes take an interest in their potential.
Students who did not receive nominations from Pro Heroes must still participate in an internship. Forty Hero Agencies agreed to take on apprentices from U.A. who didn't get any offers. Each of them specializes in a different aspect of heroism. These students choose from a list of the aforementioned pros while those who received offers choose from among their draft nominations. All students have to choose a codename prior to their apprenticeship. The internships last one week and students have two days to choose their desired hero agency.
According to All Might, Gran Torino was a teacher in U.A. and knows Toshinori's secrets. He appears to be very hard on his students.
Every time All Might speaks about the man, Izuku saw how the Symbol of Peace starts freaking out and shakes profusely because of his memories of their brutal training. It seems that Torino also reprimands Toshinori for not visiting him on occasion and tells him to keep his focus.
'I hope All Might is just exaggerating like he tends to do sometimes.' Izuku hopes nervously.
Part of the broccoli head thinks if Gran Torino will be harsh on him as well.
{In other news, yet another Kamen Rider seems to have emerged in the city of Musutafu.} A female newsreader announced as both Midoriyas turned to look at the TV before them.
"A new Kamen Rider!?" Izuku thinks in shock, almost choking on his own food.
"Izuku!" Inko cries as she rushes to help her son.
Once the hero-in-training calms down, he remembers about the Sports Festival's unfortunate ending and those at the center of it.
But unlike the rest of his peers, Izuku didn't really hate Dark Drive, only Lupin for stealing the award ceremony's medals. And the Class 1-A student also accepted that the black vigilante was the most suited to handle the Phantom Thief since both of them could freely move during the [Slowdown].
Speaking of it, no matter how much time he spent the last few days thinking about it, Deku still hasn't found a way to counter the [Slowdown] so that he and the others can also move during the time distortions just like the Kamen Riders.
'Now, more than ever, the world needs heroes again to protect everyone! The U.S.J. Incident and the Sports Festival showed me that I have to make the best use of the Hero Internship as possible and get as strong as I can!' Izuku thinks determinedly.
With the rise of crime all across Japan following the Sports Festival's consequences, Pro Heroes all over the country were starting to get overwhelmed with the number of bolder Villains that were rising as of recently.
That is when the current holder of [One For All] decides to focus his attention back on the news as he and his mother watch the debut of Kamen Rider Tracer.
He notices how Tracer has her own set of unique abilities, also observing the Signal Bikes she sues and how different they were from Dark Drive's Shift Cars.
It makes Izuku wonder why both vigilantes used equipment based on vehicles? Is it something related to their Quirks? And what about the devices around their waists?
But he soon becomes mortified once he heard how the Beast Roidmude that the Kamen Rider defeated killed several people, both the city's Central Bank's hostages and some police officers that attempted to arrest him.
{Yesterday, the Central Bank of Musutafu City was attacked by another criminal with the ability to cause [Slowdown].} The newsreader says as she proceeds to tell about everything that happened related to the incident in question.
"No..." It's the only thing Izuku manages to say.
"..." Inko looks at her son in concern, wondering about the eventual moment her son will have to handle moments like this once he becomes a full pledge Pro Hero.
A part of her was now becoming against it even after the young man supposedly obtained his Quirk as a late bloomer case.
{But that is when the new Kamen Rider takes care of the beast-like Villain, eliminating the criminal for good.} The news report resumes.
Footage of the Beast Roidmude being set on fire before being killed with Tracer's Rider Kick is shown next on the TV, mortifying both Midoriyas even more.
'But did she really have to go that far and kill the villain?' Izuku wonders grimly, now looking at the footage in disapproval.
One certain social problem, that the Roidmude deaths caused by both Dark Drive and Tracer brought up, is the discrimination agaisnt people with Mutant-type Quirks. Given the appearance of the 'people' killed by both vigilantes, a few anti-Mutant-type Quirks' groups have been supporting these Riders' actions, coming to see them as a symbol of sorts.
{Not much else is currently known about the new Kamen Rider, but it is suspected that she is an accomplice to Kamen Rider Dark Drive, the first black vigilante.}
The newsreader reports, announcing what the authorities decided to call the first vigilante Kamen Rider, as she next shows how both Dark Drive and Tracer shared the same 'R' logo on their helmets.
"The 'R' logo, so that is why everyone might be thinking that they are possible partners or allies. Hmm… And Lupin didn't have the symbol now that I think about it." Izuku theorizes, speaking aloud, as his mind suddenly begins to get into deep thought once again.
"Izuku, you're going to be late! Finish eating your food!" Inko reminds her child.
At the hospital…
"Thank you for telling us about everything you could remember, Iida-san."
Toshinori, Nezu and Aizawa decided to pay a visit to Tensei at his hospital room once word got out that the Pro Hero Ingenium was not only attacked by the Hero Killer Stain, but that he was also a victim of two mysterious figures that could move during the [Slowdown].
"Judge and a Shinigami..." Toshinori uttered. "None of these names ring a bell."
In his skinny form, he presented himself to Tensei as an employee of the All Might Agency and representative of the Symbol of Peace. A cover since he couldn't exactly tell the others about his true identity, especially to the likes of Endeavor.
"I'm more than glad for being of help, Yagi-san." Tensei says from his bed. "Though I still wished to have actually been able to do more back then."
He admits, still feeling a bit powerless as the memory of his last incident plays in the back of his mind.
"Well, it's thanks to you that we now understand a bit more about what Roidmude means." Aizawa tells the Turbo Hero.
"But the problem now is understanding how exactly this Roidmude technology works. And from the way this Judge guy spoke with the Shinigami, calling him human, makes it almost sound as if he isn't human at all. Is he one of those Roidmudes then?" Nezu ponders.
Being an animal with a Quirk, it doesn't sound entirely ridiculous to the principal of U.A. that Judge's words could lead to this conclusion.
"There's also this strange mention of the Shinigami being 'revived'? Does that also apply to Judge? Did both of them die at some point and were literally brought back to life? If so, how?" Aizawa asks the others.
But despite the extra pieces that they obtained today, the Pro Heroes were far from being done solving this complex riddle.
"We can think more about this matter later." Nezu decides as the others agree with him. "For now, let's talk with the other patient."
Aizawa and Toshinori agree as they prepare to leave Tensei's room after thanking the Turbo Hero for his information.
But that said, the [Engine] Quirk user was certainly curious about who the principal of U.A. High was talking about.
"Other patient? Is there someone else you will speak to in this hospital?" Tensei asks the U.A. staff trio.
"He actually happens to be the one resting in the room next to yours." Yagi tells the younger man. "He is the police detective that saw the Kamen Riders fight back at Takoba Beach."
What?
Oh, interesting...
Tensei couldn't deny that he was curious about it now. Especially since his supposed neighbor might contain some important intel.
"Can I join you three then?" He asks them right away.
Nezu, Toshinori and Aizawa exchange looks amongst themselves as the latter shrugs to the former two.
"Of course."
"Yes, I see no reason why you can't as long as you don't do anything wrong."
"Sure."
The three of them reply respectively to the Turbo Hero.
Feeling a lot better, but not fully recovered yet, Tensei leaves his bed and joins the three men as the four of them head to the room next to his. Besides, he didn't have anything else better to do and didn't want to stay inside of his room the whole day.
Well, might as well greet his neighbor and try to get along with him then.
*Knock!* *Knock!*
Yagi knocks on the door.
"Come in." A calm voice calls from the other side.
*Tap!* *Tap!* *Tap!*
The quartet heads inside, being greeted with the sight of Yuuki using a notebook, accessing something on the internet, while resting on his bed.
The detective stops what he is doing as he glances at them, closing his device and placing it on a table next to him.
"Principal Nezu." The detective greets the white mammal first, being the only one he met previously.
"Good morning, detective Tomari." Nezu greets him back with a smile, the others following after him as they enter the man's room.
"Is there something you wish to ask me?" Yuuki questions right away, soon eyeing the others with the U.A. High principal. "Hmm… Eraser Head… Ingenium and…?"
He stops at Toshinori. There was something very odd about this blonde. But what exactly?
What is this sudden feeling of déjà vu?
"Yagi. Yagi Toshinori. I work for the All Might Agency and I'm his representative." The skinny man introduces himself, earning a slow nod from the police detective.
Wait, that name…
Isn't that…?
"I see. Of course." The police detective replies with a nod, quickly suppressing the sudden thought forming on his mind.
He will need to confirm something with Krim later.
"Hey there, detective!" Tensei suddenly speaks to Yuuki with a jovial tone. "You might not know about it, but I actually happen to be-!"
"My neighbor next door." The detective cuts him off with a blank look. "Yes, I'm actually aware of it."
"Oh? You knew?" Tensei laughs awkwardly at this, scratching his cheek with a sheepish expression. "Since when?"
"Not only are you still in your hospital clothes, but I actually happened to hear how loud your family, mainly the one I suppose it's your brother, were when they came to check on you." The detective explains with a flat tone.
Tensei winced at this. Yeah, he might need to talk with Tenya about lowering his voice in certain places, especially at a hospital.
"Oh, I… Uh… Sorry about them, I-!" Tensei tries to reply.
But Yuuki stops him, raising a hand at the Turbo Hero.
"We're getting off track, aren't we?" The detective speaks. "Now then, why don't you tell me what you need to talk about with me?"
? - Unknown location
A meeting was about to take place within a dark room that was barely lit by stripes of glowing green, cyan and red codes which illuminated and produced shadows.
Terminus and Malware, both in their respective Advanced Roidmude forms, suddenly materialize in the room.
The two Executives then kneel as they are now in the presence of the leader of their organization:
It was the silhouette of a figure sitting on a golden throne within the center of the room.
"Master." Terminus and Malware greet their leader, bowing in respect to the figure.
"Terminus. Malware. Welcome." The mysterious figure greets them with a powerful voice, full of authority. "To what I owe the pleasure of this sudden meeting?"
"..." Malware glances at his companion, wondering how he will bring this topic to their master.
"A new Kamen Rider seems to have appeared once again at Musutafu, master." Terminus starts speaking. "She managed to kill 077 soon after he evolved. At this rate, we'll be losing more Evolved Roidmudes instead of making new ones."
"Yes, that appears to be indeed the case. It seems that Krim Steinbelt has obtained a new ally." The enigmatic leader says in agreement. "And unlike Dark Drive, Lupin or Mashin Chaser, we don't have data on this new one."
The unknown individual then summons a digital screen showing footage of Kamen Rider Tracer finishing off the Beast Roidmude.
"Yes, master. However, that won't be the case if I'm allowed to go take care of Krim's puppets. I can kill his precious Riders and also destroy any of those Pro Heroes that try to get in the way of our plans." Terminus says confidently, standing up and puffing his chest in pride. "Please, let me take a shot at it. I want to prove myself, master."
The gladiator-like Roidmude finishes by bowing again to his master.
Malware spares one last look at his comrade before facing their leader as well.
"What is your will, my master?" The second Executive asks.
At this, the supreme figure merely snorts at them in amusement.
"Is that what you really think, Terminus?" The 'Master' asks. "Or are you simply tired of your duties involving observation and is actually craving for some havoc?"
Terminus chuckles in embarrassment, his real intentions being easily seen by their leader.
"Oh man, I guess you really saw right through me, huh?" The Executive confesses, no longer bothering to hide his true feelings from their master.
"Terminus!" Malware chastises the brawler for acting in such a laid-back way before their leader.
"No, it's no problem. I will let him go, Malware." The leader quickly reassures Malware, much to the latter's surprise, as he turns to Terminus. "Go ahead and cause a little carnage. I give you permission to do as you wish, Terminus. Yes, go and wreak havoc at your heart's content. Teach fear to those pathetic humans."
"Alright!" Terminus cries in delight, pumping his fist in joy.
He is happy and eager to bring death and destruction to those foolish humans.
Back with Yuuki…
"So, you want to ask me about what happened back at Takoba Beach? But what else is there to say?"
Turns out that the reason the U.A. Staff wanted to speak with Yuuki was that they hoped that he might have remembered some important intel to share with them.
Which wasn't entirely wrong. But not fully correct either.
"I'm pretty sure the police report that detective Shijima wrote should have told you everything you need to know about." The black-haired detective tells the Pro Heroes.
"Well, we thought it couldn't hurt to ask about what you've experienced firsthand. She might've missed something since you were the one closer to the Kamen Riders, right?" Tensei asks the secret vigilante.
"Are you doubting my partner's words?" Yuuki asks him back, narrowing his eyes at the Turbo Hero while sounding clearly offended.
All part of an act to fool these Heroes and throw suspicion elsewhere of course.
The cop's intense gaze worked as it made Tensei flinch and look away.
"No, no. Of course not. I didn't want it to sound that way." Iida defends himself.
"Yes, forgive Ingenium, detective Tomari. He clearly didn't mean to upset you like this." Toshinori quickly interjects next, trying to defuse a possible tense mood from happening, while Tensei sends an apologetic look to the bedridden detective.
Yuuki sighs at this before grunting in acknowledgment.
'Tomari Yuuki… He is certainly different from his partner.' The Symbol of Peace observes.
"So, is there anything else you wish to ask me, gentlemen?" Yuuki asks the Pro Heroes. "Because if not, I'm sorry to say but you're honestly wasting your time here. The police will always make sure to notify the Heroes when something important is discovered."
Nezu winced at that.
The others felt like they had to protest, but the detective wasn't entirely wrong either. The Pro Heroes and the Police Force always tended to work together in investigations.
"Well, I guess this is it then." Aizawa mutters.
After all, he still needs to head back to U.A. High to check what Hero Internships each of his students will take.
*Knock!* *Knock!*
A knock on the door gets everyone's attention.
"Tomari-san! It's me! I'm coming in."
A familiar female voice calls as Yuriko steps inside of the room, carrying a bouquet of flowers in her hands.
However, that wasn't all.
Instead of her usual dark blue-colored police uniform, the rookie detective was wearing casual clothes.
Yuriko's hair was loose as she was wearing a white headband, a sky blue dress and orange sandals.
Being somewhat familiar with the woman, Nezu and Toshinori were surprised at seeing Yuriko in her new attire while Aizawa remained stoic, merely raising an eyebrow at the woman and wondering who she was.
As for Tensei, he kept looking between Yuuki and the woman as the wrong idea formed in his mind, making him blush.
Seeing the assembled group of Pro Heroes, Yuriko greets them with a light bow and a charming smile as they(except Aizawa, who remained grumpy) return the gesture to her.
"Right. I suppose we should leave you now with your girlfriend, detective Tomari." Tensei suddenly speaks to Yuuki as he prepares to leave his neighbor's room.
But suddenly, all eyes land upon the Turbo Hero.
"What?"
Yuriko then giggles at his response while Toshinori and Nezu snort.
"She's my partner," Yuuki tells Tensei with a flat expression as even Aizawa smirks at the blunt response.
Oh…
Tensei blushes in embarrassment at this while Yuriko approaches him after placing the flowers she just brought into a vase on the table next to her partner's bed.
"Detective Shijima Yuriko of the Musutafu Police Department." She greets the Turbo Hero with a smile and a salute. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Ingenium-san. I'm a fan of your work."
This somehow made the Turbo Hero even more flustered as he returned her smile with one of his own.
"Likewise, detective. It's a pleasure to meet you as well."
"Oh! I know this is sudden, but could I have your autograph then?"
Now this made Tensei's mood brighten up even more after seeing Yuriko's charming smile once she made her request, something he couldn't find himself saying no. The awkward feeling he had previously was now slowly disappearing.
"Of course. Anything for a fan."
Having nothing else to ask Yuuki and after exchanging a few words as well with Yuriko about what happened at Takoba Beach's Rider Fight, the Pro Heroes were about to leave Yuuki's room and give some privacy for the detectives to talk amongst themselves.
"..." Yuriko quietly observes Yagi's form leaving her partner's room with an odd sensation of deja vu coming over her.
'Why I'm getting this sudden feeling that I already saw him somewhere before?'
"So, a few more nights here and you will be finally allowed to leave this place very soon, Tomari-san?" Yuriko asks Yuuki with a pleased expression.
"Yeah." The man replies, cracking his neck before sighing.
"Oh, finally some good news. In that case, this is also perfect because we've been assigned a new case to handle once you're discharged from here." Yuriko tells her partner now that they are alone.
"Is that so? Which one?" Yuuki asked as he hummed while his partner closed the door behind her, making sure there would be no one listening to their talk.
The new female Rider then picks her senpai's notebook and uses it to access a particular website he needs to verify.
"*Gasp!* This is-!" The veteran Kamen Rider widens his eyes in surprise once he sees what Yuriko intended to show him.
"Judge Time, a newly created website from within the Deep Web. A proxy service for revenge." Yuriko states darkly, an expression soon being mirrored by her partner.
"Shit. This is from the Judge Roidmude. This is his Modus Operandi all written over it." Yuuki concludes grimly, both him and Yuriko having heard about the previous Roidmude 065's case from Krim.
"Yes, that appears to be the case. Plus, I already confirmed that there has indeed been the use of Heavy Acceleration whenever Judge was around, Tomari-san."
Another Roidmude from the past that has been revived…
And what an interesting coincidence that they have been assigned to another case involving their mechanical foes.
"There have been a lot of requests already on the Judge Time, with most of the victims being killed by Judge. They include not only criminals and Villains but also some corrupt people and morally questionable Pro Heroes." Yuriko observes the website's forum, scrolling down through several requests.
"And right now, there have been a lot of death requests towards Hero Killer Stain, the most popular target. It's already a big deal on the internet, the media should pick up on it soon enough. Especially due to the incident involving Ingenium as well." She adds.
Following the Sports Festival's aftermath, Yuriko and Krim also learned about the incident where Tensei was apparently attacked by three individuals: Hero Killer Stain, the Judge Roidmude and Mashin Chaser - the Roidmudes' Grim Reaper. Ingenium sure is lucky to be still alive from this incident and to be able to still perform his duties as a Pro Hero once he is discharged from the hospital.
The last person surprised the Drive Team as Krim suspects that he is not actually Protozero. But if that's the case, who exactly is the new Mashin Chaser?
But the Rider detective duo won't find answers to their questions until they actually start the investigation.
Deciding to change of topics, Yuriko brings up another matter:
"Tomari-san, the police also held a meeting back at the HQ to discuss the League of the Villains' Nomu's identity," Yuriko tells Yuuki. "And we found some disturbing things about him."
"Oh? Tell me about him then." He asks back as she reveals the police findings to her partner.
The Police Force has tried everything to get information out of Nomu. However, everything they tried did not work.
Then they instead looked into Nomu's background through DNA analysis and discovered that he was once a small-time thug with a criminal record.
Yuriko explains that the DNA analysis also revealed that Nomu has the DNA of at least four different humans mixed with his own.
Yuuki concludes that Nomu is an artificial human created to measure up to multiple Quirks and that having all the DNA in his body as well as his body modified caused Nomu's brain activity to stop.
But the real issue is that Nomu's DNA is of primary concern because it contains multiple Quirks. The creature could not have acquired multiple Quirks in any way (unless Nomu acquired the Quirks through advanced genetic familial permeation).
"It is theorized by both the police and the Pro Heroes that someone with an ability that can grant multiple Quirks is behind Nomu's acquisition of multiple Quirks." Yuriko finishes her report to Yuuki with a concerned expression.
The older detective shook his head at the news.
"How many people can fall in order to obtain power? Experimenting with other people's bodies and becoming real monsters, no different from the Roidmudes. It's thanks to these things that I'm glad I was born Quirkless, especially considering the issues that Quirks can place on the human body." He says.
A Quirk doesn't define a person. It's disappointing to think about how a lot of people are trapped into the mindset of glorifying Quirks, unable to see the bigger picture and the strains they actually possess.
"Yeah, you're right." Yuriko nods in agreement with her senpai's words, steeling her resolve at this. "And Tomari-san? I have also learned the truth. About why only Quirkless people can become Kamen Riders."
"I see. Then tell me, how do you feel about it? To learn that you have the 'key' to save the world from the Roidmudes?" Yuuki asks her back.
"Well, it's just like how I said previously to Krim. I'm now willing to follow this path to the end, all in order to protect those I care about. And I'm also actually grateful now for being born Quirkless. I will never look again at my condition as a 'disability'. But rather, as a blessing." Yuriko tells him with a determined look. "But knowing the truth about the quick decrease of the Quirkless people worries me because if we fail…"
"Then there will be no one left behind to oppose our enemies." Yuuki finishes her sentence with a grim expression, one soon being matched by the woman.
Yuriko nods and looks down, feeling dejected at this.
While the majority of the world might think that the eventual extinction of the Quirkless population was a positive sign, the Drive Team knew better.
But how would everyone else react to the truth? Even if it changed the general view towards the Quirkless people, it was already too late. They are quickly dying and it's only a matter of time until all of them disappear from this world.
And that's exactly when they are actually needed the most…
This time Yuuki decides to change topics.
"Well, I have seen your 'debut' on the TV, Yuriko. So that was Kamen Rider Tracer, huh?" He contemplates.
He was proud of his kouhai's evolution and how she already managed to destroy an Advanced Roidmude. Krim was right in picking her to be the next Kamen Rider.
But then, Yuriko suddenly sports a downcast expression at the mention of her first appearance as a Kamen Rider.
"What's wrong, Yuriko?" The older detective asks in concern upon seeing this.
"Well, I would like to think that my debut as a Kamen Rider was a success… But I actually can't." She expresses solemnly. "Not only all the hostages of the Central Bank were killed, but 077 also managed to take the lives of two officers that tried to arrest him."
Oh, right.
Now that Yuuki thinks about it, the news also reported about the unfortunate lives lost during the incident. However, what pissed him off was that some voices had the nerve of somehow pinning part of the tragedy as Tracer's fault, regardless of whether that's the actual truth or not.
He can imagine that Yuriko must have already seen some of the negative feedback aimed towards her alter ego.
"Look, I can understand that you might be thinking that you could have perhaps done something else about the deaths that the Roidmude caused, Yuriko. But beating yourself up for something that already happened doesn't help. And sometimes, there are things that are simply out of our control." Yuuki tells her softly, trying to comfort his partner.
This makes him start to remember the pep talk Krim gave him the other day. Maybe it's now his turn to help someone that needs some emotional support.
"Then what should I do, Tomari-san?" Yuriko asks back, voice filled with grief over the loss of innocent lives taken by the hands of a monster.
"In this line of work, it's never easy to deal with death. Especially if you lose someone you care about." Yuuki starts, clenching his fists, as his strong silver eyes look into Yuriko's sky blue ones. "But that's why we have to keep going on. To protect what matters to all of us. And to also honor those we failed to protect and never forget about them, using this as a reminder to always try our best in face of the danger we will fight in the future. Because if there are no Kamen Riders left…"
"Then there will be no one left behind to stand up against the Roidmudes." Yuriko finishes her senpai's words, nodding in understanding at his words.
Yes, this is it…
If they fail, nobody else will be able to protect the world from the Roidmudes. Not even the Pro Heroes and their Quirks.
But as long as the two of them and Krim stand together, then there's still hope for this world.
Yuriko won't forget that.
Never…
Later that night…
Yuriko left her partner's room after the talk she had with Yuuki.
As for him, being eager to be finally discharged from the hospital very soon, Yuuki decides to sleep earlier and have a good night of rest.
*Click!*
Or that's what would have been if someone didn't have tried to sneak into his room through the window.
"Visit hours are long over." Yuuki says as he opens his eyes at the noise, the cop quickly draws the revolver he hid under his pillow before aiming the gun at the intruder.
*Click!*
The detective didn't need to turn the lights on since what greeted him was a familiar pair of red eyes, belonging to one certain silhouette of a man wearing a top hat and a cape.
"Good evening, detective Tomari." The Phantom Thief calmly greets him with a casual tone, almost sounding friendly, as the cop's gun didn't seem to faze him. "Or do you prefer to be called Dark Drive?"
"..." Yuuki only narrowed his eyes at the mysterious man, still aiming his gun at the masked individual.
The nerve of this guy!
"What. Do. You. Want?" The ravenette police officer asks sternly.
"You can put that gun down, you know." Lupin replies. "Even if it's loaded with Anti-Roidmude bullets, it won't kill me."
"..." Yuuki doesn't comply, remaining quiet as he keeps glaring back at the Phantom Thief.
"Geez, you always act like that even off-duty? You should relax, man. I'm not here to pick a fight. Can you tell the hidden Shift Cars to not attack me?" Lupin asks.
'Shit! He noticed it too?' Yuuki observes grimly.
Knowing about the possibility that Roidmudes could attack his charge, Krim had a few Shift Cars hidden within Yuuki's hospital room in order to protect him from any potential enemy.
Not that it seemed to have worked with Kamen Rider Lupin…
At the lack of response, Lupin sighs and slumps his shoulder in mock depression.
"Am I that shady to you?"
"Have you seen yourself in the mirror?" Yuuki asks him back, sarcastically.
"Geez, I just wanted to give something back to you. Here." Lupin says as he suddenly tosses two items back to Yuuki.
"*Gasp!* Those are-!" The black-haired detective recognizes that the items the Phantom Thief just gave him were actually his two stolen Shift Cars: Max Flare and Dream Vegas.
But they were both deactivated since it seems that Lupin has managed to scan them, also not allowing them to be used by Yuuki and Krim to track down his signal.
However, there was one more thing that caught Yuuki's attention.
While Dream Vegas was intact, Max Flare was clearly modified.
To start with, the fiery Shift Car was no longer orange. But rather, it was now a red-colored minicar with its front Flare Ability Crest changing from red to a now yellow-colored one. (A/N: Shift Max Flare now looks like its Full Throttle Ver. Toy Exclusive Shift Car variant)
"Max Flare…" Yuuki whispers, analyzing how the new fire Shift Car looks like.
"Yes, I'm returning these Shift Cars back to you." Lupin states, getting the detective's attention back on him. "Don't worry, I have not tampered with their basic programming or anything of the sort. Heck, if anything, I even upgraded Max Flare as a sign of my goodwill. You're welcome by the way."
"Then why? Why did you steal these Shift Cars from me and Belt-san if you intended to return them later?" The detective inquiries, still wary of the masked individual.
Lupin chuckles at this before answering:
"Ah, yes. Of course. I simply wanted to have my own version of some of the Shift Cars that you owned, Tomari Yuuki." The Phantom Thief replies, deciding to show two new Shift Cars for Yuuki to take a look at. "And I technically didn't steal anything from you. I merely borrowed them to create these new ones by using the data of Max Flare and Dream Vegas."
One of the Shift Cars that Lupin showed was Shift Mega Max Flare, a yellow-colored upgraded version of Max Flare.
The second one looks like a sapphire-colored version of Shift Dream Vegas: The Shift Get Dream Vegas.
XXXXXXX
Shift Mega Max Flare was a redecoration of the original Max Flare Shift Car which enabled Drive to gain the Mega Max Flare Tire, granting the same abilities as the Max Flare Tire and nothing more, though its flame powers do seem to be more powerful than the regular Max Flare.
Shift Get Dream Vegas is a (hypothetical cosmetic) upgrade of Shift Dream Vegas, following the example set by Shift High Speed and Shift Mega Max Flare.
XXXXXXX
"Even if you say that, Lupin, I wouldn't have done the same if I was in your shoes. Why would I return the Shift Cars to my adversary if they could use them later to fight me again?" Yuuki asks the masked thief. "You know this will come back to bite you later, right? I will definitely get you for this, Kaitou." The detective warns.
"I would like to see you try, Mr. Ace Detective." The Phantom Thief challenges with a smug tone. "But that aside, I'm very aware of the danger the Roidmudes pose to the rest of the world. And for that, I will need you and Krim Steinbelt, both at your best and with your Shift Cars, to stay around and take care of them. And I believe that the new female Rider must be your partner, huh? Shijima Yuriko, was it? The same goes for her as well."
Lupin muses, taking a guess at Yuriko's secret identity as he notices Yuuki briefly flinching upon his words.
"Yeah. Though I suppose it wasn't that hard for you to guess it since you're just like us. You're another Quirkless person, aren't you? Only Quirkless people, like us, can make use of the Rider System to transform into a Kamen Rider. " The detective Kamen Rider deduces.
"..." Silent, the Phantom Thief only looks back impressed with the new Dark Drive's correct deduction.
"Heh. You know, I'm feeling nice enough to share some things with you today. I suppose it's only fair that I get to tell you this much: I'm a human, like you, born with the same condition. I belong to the same extreme domain as you, Dark Drive. But I have no interest in the Roidmudes or their goals. Whether you will believe my words or not, it's up to you. I could care less about it."
Yuuki remembers those exact words Lupin told him and Krim back at the Sports Festival.
While most of the Pro Heroes that heard the words are probably still trying to figure the real meaning behind them, it was easy for the Drive Team to do so.
But that said...
"So, what's your excuse? Are you gonna give me some sympathetic backstory to justify your actions? Or are you really moved by the thrill of a challenge as you claimed before?" The ravenette cop questions.
He was curious about how the other man obtained the Lupin Gunner in the first place, but would the Phantom Thief really talk about it to him?
"And why should I spoil the fun? You can probably figure it out on your own, can't you? I'm sure an Ace Detective like yourself doesn't need hints or anything of the sort." Lupin taunts the police officer, making Yuuki's eyebrow twitch in annoyance upon hearing the apparent nickname the masked thief decided to officially give him.
"Lupin…!" Yuuki growled at him.
The Phantom Thief merely chuckles in response.
"You know, we aren't really that different from each other, Tomari Yuuki." He says.
"But I certainly don't steal things from other people." The bedridden man counters.
"Then you clearly need to check again. You took away all the spotlight from the Pro Heroes. And they are definitely pissed with you because of it. It's only a matter of time before the same happens to your partner."
Yuuki winced at this.
Okay, maybe Lupin had a point.
"There's also something else we have in common, my dear detective: We each took our respective paths because we can't rely on the Pro Heroes, isn't it? Instead of talking about the Core Driviar technology and the Roidmude threat to the rest of the world, you decided to become Kamen Rider Dark Drive and fight on your own terms. You could say the same applies to me." Lupin says, pointing a thumb towards himself.
"I'm not doing any of this for fame and recognition," Yuuki replies sternly. "But you, on the other hand, it seems like you enjoy being the center of attention after stealing the Sports Festival's medals."
One thing Kamen Rider Lupin immediately did after successfully performing his heist was to post a selfie on social media of himself brandishing the medals that he stole from U.A. High, using the #LupinFever.
Needless to say, this went viral not only through Japan, but also gained attention over the rest of the world as well.
"I have my reasons to do what I do. Just like you, Dark Drive. You and me? We're like two sides of the same coin. Like the blue sky and the ocean."
"The ocean is blue, not the sky."
"The blue of the sky is reflected in the blue of the sea, right? It's like a detective and phantom thief. They appear to be as different as heaven and earth, but look closely, and you will see that they're both insolent fellows who use the key of curiosity to pry open something that someone else wants to keep shut." Lupin declares.
"Dumbass. The blue of the sky and sea are from the color's diffusion and reflection. It's because they are completely different substances. They're not the same thing at all. You can see the proof in a puddle, which isn't blue, right? And while I solve crimes, you are the one causing them." The detective says in return.
"Geez, you have no dreams, do you?" Lupin asks Yuuki in faux pity.
"If I talked about dreams all the time, I wouldn't be able to see through to the truth." Yuuki replies flatly.
"Dreams, huh? So you think it's wrong to dream? To wish for something better? Like hope for a better future?" The Phantom Rider's tone suddenly changes into a solemn one. "So you're telling me that you never felt truly alive before being adopted by Krim Steinbelt? Not that I can fault you on that. Then you sure are lucky he found you back then, huh?"
Now, this struck a nerve on Yuuki.
"Don't you dare…!" Yuuki warned, now gritting his teeth in anger.
He doesn't like when people think that he just got 'lucky' with Krim adopting him.
The cop knows his father saw more in him than just being a fellow Quirkless.
But not the others…
Just who do they think they're to assume things about his private life?
"But you know the truth deep inside, don't you? There are others who aren't as fortunate, in life, like you and me, Tomari Yuuki." Lupin says. "And somewhere out there, there are still millions suffering from issues like poverty, hunger, bullying and abuse. With the world being saturated with 'superheroes', one would expect these issues to be solved. But that's far from reality, isn't it? Injustice still persists even these days. And the Quirks only seemed to make some of the social problems worse."
"..." Yuuki was quiet as he kept listening to the other man's ranting.
"And as for the world's so-called protectors? Ah~, the hypocrisy… Hero: A name, a position, an ideal. In our society, we see and hear of many Pro Heroes every day, so much that… the word almost loses its meaning." The masked man began, with a solemn tone.
"That in itself is a crime. Heroes are beacons of hope, they must bring light to others, free them of their fears, but they have fallen into the darkness. Our society based on 'heroes' is rotten to the very core. Greed is the motivation of these fake idols, fame is what they pursue, a selfish scourge that leeches on the people they're supposed to protect…"
"That's not true, you can't simply label everyone like that. People are complex beings and it takes a lot to understand one's motivations." Yuuki challenges the other man. "So… What's your point then, Lupin? Did you decide to change society or something now?"
The Phantom Thief chuckles at the question.
"Of course not. I'm not a hero, but a Phantom Thief. I don't have the obligation to save the world or anything of the sort. No, that will be up to you, my dear detective. What are you going to do? If you really care, then you should do something about it. Not just take care of the Roidmudes." The masked man advises the vigilante.
"..." The detective glared back at him, not saying anything as he let Lupin's words linger in his mind.
"Well then, I better take my leave." Lupin says as he turns around, preparing to leave through the room's window.
But he spares one last glance at Yuuki before doing so:
"Until we meet again, Kamen Rider Dark Drive."
*Whoosh!*
He then takes his leave, jumping from the hospital room's window as his figure disappears into the late of the night, leaving no traces behind of his presence.
"..."
Now alone, Yuuki relaxes his body and lowers the gun he was holding before letting go of it. He then lays down on his bed. No longer feeling any sort of danger coming towards him, the detective takes a deep breath as he now looks tired from the confrontation with the other Kamen Rider.
"Lupin, what are you after? What is your dream?"
The Closing Screen of this chapter shows Shift Mega Max Flare, Get Dream Vegas, Signal Tracer and Next Traveller, side by side, with the logo of Kamen Rider Dark Drive behind them.
My Hero Academia Illegals: Vigilante Dark Drive
Drive 10: Behind one's resolve

Author Notes:
Thank you for reading!
1- Now everyone has become aware of Kamen Rider Tracer's existence after her debut. The Pro Heroes will try to arrest her, with Mirko being the most persistent amongst them as she starts to look at Yuriko as a rival of sorts.
2- The U.A. staff is learning more about everything related to the Core Driviar technology after their talk with Tensei, but they still don't have all the pieces to solve the puzzle. Their visit to the hospital also allowed them to meet and briefly interact with Yuuki and Yuriko, unaware of the secret the detective/vigilante duo is hiding from them.
Yuriko will be the one to uncover All Might's real identity as Krim/Belt-san will later reveal to her and Yuuki about his connection to the Symbol of Peace.
3- With Terminus being allowed to act after finally receiving permission from the new mysterious leader of the Roidmudes, he is bound to clash with the Drive Team while the vigilantes will go after the Judge Roidmude, who is, in turn, chasing after the Hero Killer Stain.
And Mashin Chaser will not be left out of this either as, somehow, all parties may end clashing at the city of Hosu, with Izuku/Deku, his allies/companions/friends and the Pro Heroes also getting caught in the fight.
4- Some character development for Kaito/Lupin as this chapter confirmed that he is also another Quirkless person like Yuuki and Yuriko, with this revelation allowing him to safely use the Rider System to become Kamen Rider Lupin through the use of the Lupin Gunner.
He then confronts Yuuki as they both discuss their morals and values in regards to what they do respectively as Kamen Riders.
5- Some may now be thinking that I made Yuuki get the Max Flare and Dream Vegas Shift Cars back too fast.
But I actually made Kaito steal them from him, in the first place, just to give this story a convenient 'reason' to have the Mega Max Flare and the Get Dream Vegas Shift Cars created in the first place.
I also wanted to make the Drive Team own the Full Throttle Ver. of the Shift Max Flare since its design looks way cooler than its default orange-colored one, with this also becoming another reason for Lupin getting the fiery Shift Car and upgrading it before giving it back to its owner.
If you guys have any ideas or suggestions that I could use for this story, you're free/welcome to share!
Question(Please answer this in the Reviews if possible):
[There is a Toy-Exclusive Shift Car called Shift Colorful Colorful, a Bandai apparel-exclusive. Since it's a 'canon' one, I would like to make use of it. What should its ability be? I still have no idea about what to do and I want to use this Shift Car in the story.]
[What different abilities Shift Get Dream Vegas can grant in comparison to Dream Vegas?]
Review Time!
Toa Solaric: Thanks! Just like Yuuki/Dark Drive, Yuriko/Tracer won't always rely entirely on brute force to get away from certain situations.
The Knight Galahad: 1- Thanks! Yeah, I can now see how it would be unreasonable to make Yuriko into Kamen Rider Mach. But I could always make use of OC suggestions to fill the role of Mach. Do you have any ideas about it?
2- Yes, but it's mainly because I wanted to give a special reason why only Quirkless people can become Kamen Riders and try to make them all, not only the main characters, more relevant for this story.
3- Thanks!
4- Thanks for the Signal Bike suggestion! Maybe I can make use of your idea in the future.
Felipe1402XZA: That sounds interesting. Maybe I can make use of this idea later.
Asuravartin the Ur-Dragon: Thanks!
1- Yeah, but it's mainly because I wanted to give a special reason why only Quirkless people can become Kamen Riders and try to make them all, not only the main characters, more relevant for this story. And everyone will surely be shocked when they find out that only Quirkless people can become Kamen Riders, proving that they can be stronger than most of the Pro Heroes.
2- I won't deny that I also thought about Overwatch's Tracer(Lena Oxton) when I came up with the Kamen Rider Tracer codename. But it's the only one I managed to come up with that seemed to fit with the other Drive Riders.
3- Well, I wanted to give a rival of sorts to Yuriko/Tracer that wasn't a Roidmude. Since the MHAverse Villains didn't seem good enough to me, I decided to use someone battle-hungry from the Hero Side, like Rumi/Mirko, in the end.
#2nd review: Thanks!
1- Is that a reference to Kamen Rider Diend? It's been a while since I watched Kamen Rider Decade's Series and I don't remember Kaito Daiki mentioning any of it during his guest appearances in the episodes of Kamen Rider Zi-O.
I wanted to explore Mr. Compress differently, with this story, by giving Atsuhiro someone that might help him with his ideals of being a noble thief, like his ancestor, and possibly change his choice of later joining the League of Villains.
2- Yeah, not only the staff of U.A. High, but several Pro Heroes will have to deal with the aftermath of the Sports Festival's disastrous ending.
3- Speaking of Mr. Shield, I have a future chapter in mind where both David and Melissa end up learning about the Drive Team's secret identities before the Pro Heroes and the U.A. High students manage to do so, somehow vowing to Yuuki and his companions that they won't tell the others about them.
4- All Might will eventually confront Krim about him possibly being Kamen Rider Dark Drive. Which it's not something wrong, but not entirely right either.
yogaratw607: 1- Well, I'm not completely sure yet about the idea of having David and Melissa join the Drive Team. But I do have a future chapter in mind where the Shields end up learning about the group's secret identities before the Pro Heroes and the U.A. High students manage to do so, somehow vowing to Yuuki and his companions that they won't tell the others about them.
2- Yeah, but All For One becoming a Roidmude(like Banno) is just an idea for now. I'm not sure yet if I really plan to do something like that in a future arc of this story. And he will certainly become shocked when he finds out that the Kamen Riders and the Roidmudes don't have a Quirk at all. Well, it could certainly be interesting to see what would happen if AFO did use a Neo Viral Core and tried to fuse with a Roidmude.
#2nd review: 1- Yes, there will be good Roidmudes in this story.
2- Maybe. I will think about it. For now, I actually have the idea of Izuku using a Neo Viral Core to fuse with a certain Roidmude in a later chapter.
For'Sleepy: You're welcome!
1- Thanks! I wanted to explore Mr. Compress differently, with this story, by giving Atsuhiro someone that might help him with his ideals of being a noble thief, like his ancestor, and possibly change his choice of later joining the League of Villains.
2- Not sure yet about what Krim could do to prevent the issue brought with the Quirks and the Quirk Singularity theory behind it.
#2nd review: 1- Yeah, I also get the feeling that the anime/manga author of MHA sometimes tends to forget about the Quirkless people's social issues and their struggles once Izuku got [One For All].
When people discover the truth behind the Kamen Riders only being Quirkless individuals and Krim's research, part of society will give more value to them since they recognize that the lack of Quirkless makes the fight against the Roidmudes harder. The other part, people with Quirk supremacy-like ideals, will still learn a valuable lesson the hard way.
2- Thanks for the Signal Bike suggestion! Maybe I can make use of your idea in the future.
3- Well, I'm liking how the late manga chapters portray him so far. That depends, I just hope Izuku/Deku won't resort to defeating All For One Shigaraki in some bullshit way.
#3rd review: Who knows? I'm not completely sure either.
Every Quirk contains an echo of the consciousness of its wielder; if a person's Quirk is transferred to someone else, the consciousness of the previous wielder will appear in the new user's mind, either as voices in dreams or manifestations in a mental mindscape. This phenomenon is compared to cases of people whose personalities and tastes changed after an organ transplant.
If further transferred to yet another new user, then that new user will experience the consciousnesses of all of the previous users. Though, these consciousnesses will disappear if the new user loses the transferred Quirk.
Yes, Star and Stripe would be able to move during [Slowdown] if she imposed a rule on herself to move freely during its time distortion.
Guest: Gracias!
Fanreader365: Thanks! Thanks for also giving me some Signal Bikes suggestions! Maybe I can make use of your ideas in the future.
#2nd review: Yes, there will be good Roidmudes in this story, with the new 072 being one of them as he wishes to coexist with humans.
#3rd review: I'm not sure yet about what to do regarding Kamen Rider Mach since I don't have any OC to fill his role. Do you have any possible suggestions for this?
#4th review: Thanks for warning me about it! I already fixed that.
SynchroRegis: Thanks! Yeah, I also agree with you in regards to the malicious people with Quirks. But some of them will learn a valuable lesson later in this story.
I will always try to update this story's next chapter as soon as I can.
D3lph0xL0v3r: Thanks!
1- Yeah, All Might will eventually confront Krim about him possibly being Kamen Rider Dark Drive. Which it's not something wrong, but not entirely right either.
2- I wanted to explore Mr. Compress differently, with this story, by giving Atsuhiro someone that might help him with his ideals of being a noble thief, like his ancestor, and possibly change his choice of later joining the League of Villains.
3- I will always try to update this story's next chapter as soon as I can.
4- Ok. Thanks for answering the question anyway.
#2nd review: Thanks! No, I won't deny that I also thought about Overwatch's Tracer(Lena Oxton) when I came up with the Kamen Rider Tracer codename. But it's the only one I managed to come up with that seemed to fit with the other Drive Riders.
Austin: Thanks for your ideas! Maybe I can make use of some of them in the future.
Stay safe and healthy as well.
Obsidian Nova Arc: 1- Thanks for the Signal Bikes suggestions! Maybe I can make use of your ideas in the future.
2- Thanks! Yes, everyone will be shocked once they learn why only Quirkless people can use the Rider System to become Kamen Riders. Though I'm not sure yet who will reveal everything to the world and how exactly.
sky00: Yes. However, I won't be giving any spoilers about them for now.
Guest(2): Thanks! Yes, more Kamen Riders(even certain ones from different installments) will appear later in this story. However, I won't be giving any spoilers about them for now.
gilgmesh101: Thanks!
Guest(3): Thanks for warning me about it! I will be careful with this moron from now on.
Drcaus: I can at least confirm that Kamen Riders Chaser and Gold Drive will eventually appear. Not sure about Kamen Rider Mach since I don't have an OC to fill his role yet. Do you have any possible suggestions for this?
Guest(4): No. I'm sorry, but I'm currently not interested in making new fanfic using Kamen Rider Kuuga as part of its element.
Phantom Thief of Hearts: 1- Yes.
2- I wanted to expand Kaito's arsenal. But since I didn't want him to permanently rob the Drive Team of Shift Max Flare and Dream Vegas, he ended up making his own version of them.
3- Ok, I'll try to do that.
4- Considering that she is the one responsible for helping students create their hero names, I thought it would be fitting that Midnight brought up the topic of Dark Drive's name to the others.
5- For now, they can only make some assumptions. But All Might and the others will eventually learn the truth from a Roidmude, and not from the Kamen Riders.
6- Yes, the Allmobile appeared at the start of the first MHA movie. But let's just say that I have some plans to make use of it in the future.
7- The Shields will certainly be shocked to learn the truth behind the Drive Rider System. And I have a future chapter in mind where both David and Melissa end up learning about the Drive Team's secret identities before the Pro Heroes and the U.A. High students manage to do so, somehow vowing to Yuuki and his companions that they won't tell the others about them.
8- Some of the Pro Heroes and the U.A. High students will learn the truth about Kamen Rider Dark Drive being Quirkless from a Roidmude. However, I'm not sure yet if they will make that revelation public or not.
9- Not sure yet about having foreign heroes coming to Japan to hunt the masked vigilantes. I think the Hero Public Safety Commission will try to make things stay under control and have only the Japanese Pros try to arrest Dark Drive and the other Riders since they technically aren't destroying the country and posing a threat to the world, unlike All For One Shigaraki and the reaming Villains in the latest manga chapters.
Melissa will visit Japan with David, before the events of the first movie take place, and personally meet the black vigilante. But I'm not sure yet about how to do the same with Star and Stripe and make her own interaction with Kamen Rider Dark Drive. But both women will surely be worried to learn the news that there is someone that All Might can't seem to deal with.
10- Ok, sure.
11- Yes, I think I will remember to do something about that in regards to the first movie's events. I didn't understand either at first why it happened, but I will probably make sure that not all of Class 1-A are there at I-Island when the events of the first movie happen. And I even have some ideas, like a new form for Dark Drive debuting there.
12- I think the cast will react in disbelief that, in another version of their universe, there is a Quirkless individual that can do so much more than each of them with their respective Quirks. Izuku and Katsuki will probably take it the hardest considering their complex relationship and background.
#2nd review: Thanks!
1- One of the things that bothered me the most with the anime is how the Quirkless people's issue is barely explored the moment Izuku/Deku obtains [One For All]. I sometimes get the feeling that the author seems to have forgotten about this since there aren't other natural-born Quirkless people(aside from the cinnamon roll, Toshinori and Melissa) being introduced.
2- The Pro Heroes and the U.A. High students will become shocked once they learn the truth about why only Quirkless people can become Kamen Riders. A certain Kamen Rider, that has yet to appear in this fanfic, will reveal everything to them, implying how the Quirks actually limit people's capacity while the Quirkless technically have limitless possibilities since the Rider System can grant them many abilities.
3- Yeah, Quirkless people will be held in lower regards to special animals with Quirks. That is until everyone learns how essential they are to have more Kamen Riders around.
4- Well, most of the Pro Heroes will be mad with Kamen Rider Tracer, just like in Dark Drive's case. But like her partner, she will have support from most of the people she ends up saving from the Roidmudes and the Villains that she happens to end up facing along the way.
5- I won't make the Hero Public Safety Commission lie about things like Tracer defeating 077/Beast since most people acknowledge that the vigilantes are currently the most suited to face the Roidmudes. But they will always try to twist things to put the Kamen Riders in a bad light and place the blame on them whenever they can since they are disrupting society's good image of licensed heroes.
6- Yeah, I won't understand their point either.
I also don't see the point of making someone have a [Superintelligence] Quirk so that they can build a Kamen Rider's Driver. The idea of only Quirkless people being able to become Kamen Riders is more appealing to me since it can make them all, not just the protagonist, have more relevance in the story. I like to explore the concept that most people become over-reliant on their powers, forgetting that other essential skills can be acquired through hard work, intense training and study.
It feels satisfying to me when a Quirkless character shows the others, both Heroes and Villains alike, that they can beat anyone through the use of things like technology, martial arts and wits.
7- Yeah, it could definitely be interesting to explore a rivalry of this type. Maybe even have those Pro Heroes have to work together to face the Kamen Riders.
8- Yeah, I could probably base new Advanced Roidmudes on beings from these other shows you mentioned. I actually forgot about a few of them before you reminded me.
As for the Shift Cars and Signal Bikes, I already planned to use the several canon Legend Rider devices while maybe also doing some new original ones. I'm just struggling a little thinking of possible scenarios about how these items will land upon the main characters' possession.
9- I like Kamen Riders W and Ex-Aid's shows and it would be interesting to make fanfic that mix either of them with the MHAverse. However, I will probably focus more on Dark Drive's story first. And the next Kamen Rider fanfic that I will probably write will use Kamen Rider Specter(Don't know why but he suddenly came into my mind).
But you know, I actually got this one sudden idea to use some of Kamen Rider W's characters in one of my later chapters of Vigilante Dark Drive because of this review.
So thanks, I guess?
Anyways, see you in the next review!
MBS41: Which OC are you talking about?
silverstudent: Nice dialogue. I could make use of it later.
AsbelLhant: Alright, you have a point. I will try to reduce the expositions and try to reduce their words as much as possible in the next chapters.
So, what do you guys think? Please give me some reviews if possible.
