A shrieking Bakugou is not something out of the norm; it was familiar in a sense.
However, people only became concerned when the blasty boy went quiet…
Because when a boy with an explosive temperament gets quiet all of a sudden, then that was a pretty good indicator of 'shit's about to go down'.
However…a quiet Bakugou cannot compare to a panicky Bakugou.
The irregular shifting eye movements, the shrinking of the pupils until it looked like a pinprick in a sea of red, an increased breathing rate leading to hyperventilation, the unconscious tensing and relaxing of muscles, and the uncontrollable shaking.
Huh? It seemed like they had unlocked another version of angry Bakugou –'Panicked Induced Rage Bakugou'.
The loss of his Quirk was sudden and without mercy to his well-being and it was evident that he couldn't process it…at all.
So he switched to his default settings with some newly added features. With the confirmation of the loss of their Quirks coming from Bakugou, the realization of the travesty that had befallen them hit them like an oncoming train.
They got railed without warning and it didn't even feel good!
The panic from Bakugou spread like a particularly contagious virus as students around him dropped like flies around him, they felt hollow without their Quirks –their safety blankets. The teachers struggled to gain control of the situation that had transpired; the students couldn't see past their own overwhelming terror to recognize that their agitation was making things worse.
The heroes-in-training possessing mutation Quirks were not as horribly affected as the ones with emitter and transformation Quirks, however, their bodies did feel heavier and their abilities seemed to be dampened quite a bit.
Though most of them were part of the cry fest taking place, a few accepted their fate pretty quickly and calmed down. In the absolute chaos of the freakout, a few mutation-type quirked individuals, and the ones that were able to keep their heads were guided to the other side of the room – away from the danger zone.
Kayama-sensei's Quirk would have been extremely useful in this situation however they could only wait out the storm. Screaming at them would only make it worse and some don't like to be touched when they felt vulnerable, so it was better to just leave them alone. It would be better to allow the students to come to terms with their lack of Quirk on their own.
Standing on the other side of the room were Izuku and his friends with all their other classmates who handled the situation better. Uraraka had devolved into a hysterical mess before Izuku calmed her down, allowing them to move away from the rest of the mess that was their friends. Iida was fine, if not a bit stiffer than usual, apparently, while he kept the engines on his calves, he couldn't speed like he normally does and his legs were a bit heavier.
From Class 1-A, out of the twenty students, there were only nine in a stable frame of mind while Class 1-B had only a mere five being able to withstand the devastation of having their quirks gone or dampened significantly. They gathered around each other in an effort to try and create a faux sense of comfort that could soothe their freight. They were soon joined by a bright-haired blond boy with a comically animated face, a blue-haired girl with a small smile gracing her features, and another timid-looking boy who was cowering behind the first two.
"Hey, there firsties! Are you guys alright?"
The 'firsties' comment implied they were older than them and were in U.A, which allowed them to relax quite a bit. Knowing someone older than them was concerned and looking out for them eased the apprehension in their hearts.
"My name Togata Mirio and I'm a third-year in U.A.'s Hero Course."
A scorned mumble of 'too bright' left the mouth of their resident emo, Tokoyami, which was something everyone agreed with. Just as the last word left his mouth, he was roughly shoved aside by the blue-haired teenage girl who forced her way into their personal bubble with curiosity bubbling out of her. She moved swiftly, weaved between them while poking and prodding at their bodies, humming in thoughtfulness as she went.
"Hado Nejire! A pleasure to meet you! So what are your Quirks?"
'So energetic…'
She was like a battering ram with the personality of a bunny, blowing through their questions and responses with her insatiable quizzing and fidgeting hands while bouncing from one person to another in her excitement. Her interrogation was put on hold when a stuttering mess of a student introduced himself to the group.
His nervous blushing and mumbling could rival Izuku's level of awkwardness which didn't really paint a good picture of the obviously shy student.
"H-H-H-Hi…my m-my n-name is T-Tamaki Amajiki…it's n-n-nice to meet y-you all."
The greeting was barely heard from where he hid behind Mirio, which everyone managed to make sense of if the nodding of heads in his direction were an indication.
The somewhat positive response from the kids helped ease his nervousness and edge, slightly, away from his blond friend. A mutter of reassurance from the blond about 'imagining potatoes' brought Tamaki out of his shell a bit more, it was small but there.
"Hello, Togata-senpai! My name is Midoriya Izuku, first-year hero course student!"
The formal introduction ended with an equally formal forty-five-degree bow which was then followed by the rest of the teenagers in the group.
"Uraraka Ochaco!"
"I am Iida Tenya! I am the president of Class 1-A! It is an honor to meet our seniors from U.A!"
For some reason, this felt like the first time that Izuku heard Iida speak at all, since being transported to this place. It was jarring that the familiar formal speech and tone of their friend made them relax almost instantly. A glance at Uraraka showed that she, obviously, felt the same as her shoulders slumped from their tight upright position.
"Jirou Kyouka."
The name was given with a small twirl of her earphone jack around her index finger.
"My name is Yaoyorozu Momo and I am the vice-president of Class 1-A. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance."
"My name is Tokoyami Fumikage, child of the sun."
The difference in the tone from the fancy formal of Yaoyoruzu to Tokoyami's morose caused a few giggles to erupt from the group. Everyone knew what Tokoyami meant, Togata Mirio was like a literal sun shining down at them with his beaming smile and heartfelt expression. It helped calm their worries in this situation, if only a little bit.
"Ojiro Mashirao."
"I am Hagakure Tooru!"
Even though she remained invisible due to the nature of her mutation Quirk, there was a faint outline of her body that could be seen, but only if you squint hard enough. Izuku could see her hand waving wildly in the air as she introduced herself, likely trying to signal where she was. If some source of light was refracted into Tooru, one would be able to see that she has short, wavy hair, big round eyes, and bushy eyelashes.
"The name's Sero Hanta!" Hanta is the last person to introduce himself.
With their class's complete introduction of who was there, the five students from Class 1-B stepped up from behind the others to greet the third-years as well.
"Kendo Itsuka! Class 1-B president. It is nice to meet you."
The strong greeting caught everyone off-guard which shouldn't have been such a big surprise, Kendo is the big sister of class B –being able to keep everyone in check and functioning, especially Monoma.
Heck, she stood up to Terminus before they were all brought to this place, outright questioning his decisions, which showed that she was an amazing, iron-willed leader for the class.
Following her was a girl with dark moss green hair that reached her shoulders, and a smirk etched onto her face,
"Tokage Setsuna!"
"Shiozaki Ibara…"
The girl with vines for hair held her hands in a familiar praying position as she spoke to them, her flowery soft voice seemed to flow and float around them, soothing them.
"B-Bondo K-K-Kojiro."
The name was whispered softly from the student whose head was shaped somewhat like a glue-dispenser with a lappet on top. His large and muscular stature was imposing yet his personality was something akin to a 'gentle giant', as evidenced by his quiet stammering.
"Kaibara Sen." The young man of medium height with dark, shaggy hair, and dark eyes, which are rather thin and lazy-looking, said with his hands stuffed in his school uniform pockets.
Although he seemed a little bored of everything around him, the tense shoulders gave him away. He was likely feeling uncomfortable without his Quirk but was trying to shrug it off.
With the introductions over, Togata-senpai looked to Izuku with furrowed eyebrows –as if debating his next question. He wondered why the third-year wanted to speak to him of all people, he wasn't anybody special. Mirio came to a decision faster than he expected as his face was set in a grim sort of determination that did not match the animated features of his face.
"Do you know what is going on here?"
The question seemed innocent enough, like a friend asking but the look in his eyes told a different story.
'He's asking if I had anything to do with this. If any of us here had…'
Gathering all the courage in his body, he spoke with confidence and certainty,
"No. I don't."
Everything happened so fast when Terminus suddenly showed up to attack all of them, not being afraid at all of All Might's presence.
And next thing they knew, everybody was trapped inside of a dark black void of sorts, being unable to use their Quirks or completely recall how exactly they got into this situation.
And apparently, it wasn't just Classes 1-A, 1-B and All Might. Terminus also attacked and captured Eraserhead, Midnight, Present Mic, Vlad King, Nezu and some other students(The Big 3 hero course students being part of these 'extras').
Mirio searched Izuku's face, trying to detect whether what he said was a truth or a lie. When he seemed to find what he was looking for, he relaxed completely as he smiled softly at Izuku. The third-year was checking if he was a threat and was determined to protect the hero course first-years from him if he had to.
He was a hero first and foremost.
"That… guy, he seemed to have his eyes on you."
Mirio says to Izuku, mentioning the Terminus Roidmude.
The statement made everyone look to Izuku for answers, which caused him to shrink into himself at the attention. It was nerve-wracking being watched so intently by his classmates, by his friends even more so.
Like he had the answers to all their questions…
"I-I don't know why he singled me out," the statement caused many to let out sighs of disappointment. "I swear!"
Mirio bit his bottom lip in worry before sending a glance over towards the 'danger zone', where they could all see the panicked students finally calming down due to their teachers' efforts. Some stared blankly at nothing at all as the feeling of hollowness consumed them while others searched their surroundings trying to distract themselves from everything.
"They didn't handle losing their Quirks well."
The muttered statement from Togata was louder than he thought as Izuku and his classmates heard. They, too, were dreadfully worried for their friends and it wasn't easy seeing some of their strong classmates break down so terribly at the lack of their Quirk.
Bakugou had been quiet the entire time after he had a breakdown over losing his Quirk, it was weak and pathetic and it just made him angrier just thinking about it. He couldn't process or cope with the thought of being Quirkless, being a weakling like Deku of all people.
It was shameful and his pride could hardly stand it. He hated feeling powerless, like the little fish in a bigger pond of predators and it was all because of that shitty armored asshole floating above them.
But Izuku… He understood.
You can't miss what you've never had, as the saying goes. But he had [One For All] for over a few months now and he could feel an ache that wasn't there before…
When he was Quirkless…
It must be horrible for those who've had Quirks their entire lives.
"We're first-year students, unequipped for situations like these. The sudden transportation was already jarring and many of us didn't process it properly before our Quirks were also taken away without warning. We are stranded in an unknown situation…without some type of weapon to keep us safe."
Izuku thought out loud as he analyzed the situation and came up with the likeliest conclusion while the third-years watched him in surprise. Thinking out loud helped him organize his flurry of thoughts that seeped out of his brain which eventually led to the infamous Midoriya mumbling.
"Ah… so that's what they were talking about when they mentioned he talked to himself."
Kendo stated from beside Yaoyoruzu in contemplation, making her let out a small giggle at the girl's words. Before she could agree with the Class-B president, a quiet chuckle from behind her shoulder breezed past her ear causing her to stiffen out of freight.
"Aizawa-sensei! Before we continue, can we address the situation of who's here and make sure everyone is accounted for?" Mirio asked seriously.
Shit…wasn't he supposed to do that first?
He lazily stood up from his cushy spot; subtly stretching his legs as he did then swept his eyes across the large crowd of students which looked small in the enormous room they were in. They were clustered in their usual friend groups with the two classes being noticeably separated like a distinct line was drawn in the sand.
"Anyone here that's not in the hero course?" His voice echoed across the huge room.
At that, a scream of 'here' echoed back as a certain pink-haired girl from the Sports Festival raced to the front of the room with a crazed grin and manic look in her eyes. Iida choked on his saliva at the voice and subsequent appearance of the Support Course student.
"I'm going crazy in this room without making any babies!"
Several students blushed heavily at insinuation which had nothing to do with what the girl had in mind, making Aizawa sigh. He didn't know how Maijima dealt with her but he respected him for it.
"Anyone else?"
A small silence ran through the room before a hesitant hand rose from the back corner of the room, a place encased in shadows that made the perfect hiding place for anyone quiet enough.
"Here…"
After the hand, followed the rest of the body of one Shinsou Hitoshi from the General Studies Course; who walked silently to the front of the room with his hands firming in his pockets, hiding the shaking from the nervousness and being in close proximity of his number one hero, Eraserhead.
"At least some things don't change…"
The voice of Terminus mused in contentment as a red holographic of him appeared in the black void, darting towards Izuku with a surprising amount of speed.
Just as Yaoyoruzu opened her mouth to announce Terminus's presence, he had already confronted the third-years and Izuku.
"Hello, humans! Are you having fun?"
The deadened expressions and the sudden spike in murderous intent of the students in front of them made the Executive amused of their attempts to intimidate him.
The information overload from Izuku justified their ire, this being sending their friends into panic attacks because of their bruised ego, the Roidmude somehow blocking them from using their Quirks.
"...!"
"Is all that evil intent for little ol' me? You shouldn't have…"
Terminus stated with a light chuckle, his eyes looked towards everyone that he captured.
At long last, the silence in the space was broken by Monoma Neito, who glared fiercely at the Roidmude.
"You-You dare come here!" He snarled out, eyes becoming murderous.
"Technically I'm not entirely here." Terminus airily said, his hologram waving a dismissive hand in the direction of the blonde boy. "I just wanted to crash this mess of a party in my own way."
Many soon managed to find their voices, beginning to shout and jeer at the AI.
"Leave us!"
"DAMNED BASTARD!"
"YOU'LL PAY FOR WHAT YOU'VE DONE!"
"Guys…" Was the Roidmude's bored response.
"Despicable monster!"
"Give our Quirks back!"
"Seriously…"
The yelling and shouting went on and on until…
"ENOUGH!"
Terminus' bellow coupled with the flickering of lights and technology was enough to make all cower and shut their mouths.
The AI now visibly glared in pure aggravation at all in attendance.
"For fuck's sake, I can't even hear myself think with you morons all screaming, whining and shouting. How you idiots get anything done is beyond me." Terminus dramatically said, rubbing his metallic irises. "Like, seriously, do you baits do anything else other than shout and scream at each other? And I thought human politics was bad enough."
Nobody had a response to the AI as he began rambling to himself about how annoying and disrespectful everyone was until one Pro Heroine managed to find her voice.
"Why are you attacking us? Why are you calling us baits?" Midnight asked, drawing Terminus's attention to her directly.
"Oh~ At least someone was listening." The Roidmude said, patronizingly clapping in her direction. "Kayama Nemuri, yes?"
The Pro Heroine gulped, shakily nodding her head.
"A pleasure to meet you, my fair lady." The AI said with a grand sweeping bow. "I'd take your hand but I'm prone to dismemberment and also, not here."
"Well that wasn't sick or disturbing at all..." Kaminari Denki said under his breath, his troubled eyes darting about the room.
He saw everyone was simply frozen in their spots, being unable to move from the complete fear that had been instilled upon them.
"Why are you here?" Midnight asked more intensely as she was able to regain her bearings.
"Oh, just scouting out the competition and gotta say, very much disappointed." Terminus admitted plainly. "Then again, you guys were supposed to be 'Heroes', but not exactly what I was expecting from people of U.A. High. The so-called best Hero Academy of Japan."
Many people let out curses, yelps and small screams at the movement and rude words that the Roidmude made use of, which in turn only caused him to laugh maniacally.
"Oh God, this is too good!" He exclaimed manically. "You're all so easy to rile up, it would be boring if it weren't so funny."
"Enough of your games and wordplay." Aizawa fiercely said. "Tell us why you are here, Villain!"
It made enough noise for Terminus to slowly crane his head back in his direction as his crimson red optics settled upon the teacher's black eyes. Eraserhead would have made them also red if he could still use his [Erasure].
"Finally, someone with balls here."
Aizawa's glare intensified and in turn, Terminus' "playful" demeanor evaporated as he now had a more cold and calculated expression on display.
"You better watch where you direct that look you got there, Aizawa Shota."
At this, a cold sweat came over the homeroom teacher of Class 1-A, head tilting back a bit as he strained to remain strong before this seemingly genocidal monster.
Then, strangely and surprisingly, Terminus let out what would equate to a tired sigh as he looked around at the black room.
The being was quiet for a while before letting out a breath of disappointment,
"But maybe you're right. I was being childish and I apologize for that."
The room was shocked into silence as they registered the apology; they never expected him to just regret their actions. Terminus was a higher being that regarded humans as ants, organisms that you left alone but eventually crushed under your heel when they annoyed you.
"Your Quirks are dangerous and I don't need you hurting each other especially when you begin playing your roles as bait. I was always going to remove this for the time being but… Maybe I should have executed the rule a bit more gently." The well-reasoned response allowed everyone to calm down and think about their situation.
But...
"I kind of forgot how weak and fragile you, humans, were. My apologies once again, I will remember to take it easy on you pathetic insects."
And there was the jab at their pride.
It seemed too good to be true that they'd get a straight-out apology for Terminus' actions, but it was better than nothing.
Izuku stepped forward to ask the important questions once more, they needed answers for whatever reason this mysterious villain decided to attack U.A. High.
"We want answers. Tell us… Why are we here? Why did you call us baits?"
Izuku asked in a no-nonsense tone which was a great shift from his normally stuttering voice. It was powerful and carried with it strong defiance.
It was the Midoriya Izuku that the villains faced, that Todoroki faced at the Sports Festival, the one that proved to everyone that doubted that Izuku was a hero-in-training. He was confident and a leader where it mattered and it shone brightly, right now, as he faced a deity with a quiet fury in his eyes.
Terminus stared at him in consideration as his head tilted to the side, giving them a fully malicious look especially when his eyes widened in excitement when the Executive seemed to have found what he was searching for.
"Isn't it obvious, green bean? I need bait to catch a bigger fish." The Roidmude Executive remarked, rudely pointing a finger at all the captured individuals.
"A bigger fish? Who are you really after?" Nezu asked.
The Principal was also affected by the Quirk nullification trouble, being unable to come up with plans as he could only talk with his peers.
"Heh. You will find out soon enough." The Executive simply replies as his hologram disappears, leaving behind a large group of worried people.
From an outsider's point of view, the 'room' Izuku and the others were trapped in was actually a giant black cube that was floating in the center of U.A. High's Ground Beta, one of the training areas located inside said Hero High School.
Ground Beta is a training course that emulates a standard urban area, with streets and buildings. Several of its buildings also contain monitoring rooms in their basements, where indoor exercises can be observed.
And Terminus, now in his human disguise, could be seen waiting patiently for a certain someone as he stood below the floating giant 'prison' cube…
"Now then… Come on, Drive. Don't make me wait for too long." He speaks casually as a cruel smile adorns his face.
My Hero Academia Illegals: Vigilante Dark Drive
Drive 15: The enemy I sought
A few moments later...
Now within the premises of U.A. High, Kamen Riders Dark Drive and Tracer quickly search for the ones behind this whole incident, knowing that the Roidmudes must be hiding somewhere within the Hero Academy. The vigilantes were driving their respective Rider Machines as well while quickly making their way through the Number 1 Hero School.
[I'm detecting Roidmude presence here!] Belt-san tells them as he produces a digital map for the duo of cops to take a look at, indicating that there were Roidmudes gathered at Ground Beta.
"Alright! Let's go!" Dark Drive says in response as the NEXTridoron goes to their destination.
"Right behind you!" Tracer adds as she follows after the black car with her Ride Tracer.
*Vrooom!*
The Drive Team eventually arrives at the center of Ground Beta, being greeted with the dreadful sight of an army of one hundred Reaper Legion Roidmudes already waiting for them there.
But that wasn't all…
"Hey! What's that!?" Tracer asks as she points above them, towards a giant floating black cube.
"I don't know. Maybe it's some sort of weapon? A bomb perhaps?" Dark Drive theorized as both Riders parked their respective vehicles nearby before making their way towards their enemies.
[Strange. Wait a minute… I'm detecting life signatures from the cube! *Gasp!* There are people trapped inside of that thing!] Belt-san informs them, making an angry emoji on the Drive Driver's display.
As he said that, the black cube began to morph, eventually turning into a giant black cage that revealed everyone trapped inside of it.
"So that's where the people of U.A. were being kept at!" Tracer says as she takes a look at all the hostages that interacted earlier with Terminus.
And the prisoners also noticed the Drive Team in response, becoming surprised to see them there.
"The Kamen Riders! But why are they here!?" Izuku asks aloud as he and some of the students pressed their faces against the cage's bars, now calling for the vigilantes.
'Are they the ones that the Villain was talking about earlier? Are we the bait supposed to be used to lure them here?' Nezu wonders with a concerned look.
Suddenly, another individual is shown to everyone, being placed under the cage that was trapping everyone else.
And this person was none other than…
"Is that All Might!?" Tracer questions.
"What the…!?" Dark Drive asks in dread.
The Symbol of Peace was shown to everyone in a terrible state, he was badly injured as the result of apparently facing Terminus. He was battered and full of bruises all over his body, with his hero costume in tatters as Toshinori was bleeding from the top of his head and mouth.
And as if to further insult the No. 1 of Japan, Yagi was chained and crucified as everyone witnessed his beaten form. It was as if he was being displayed around to everyone as a 'trophy' of sorts.
"All Might!" The U.A. students desperately cried for the man as they hoped that their pleas would somehow wake and restore the Symbol of Peace.
"Urgh…" Toshinori groaned as he recovered his conscience.
His eyes take some time to adjust to his surroundings until he finally manages to take a look at what was currently happening before him.
"Where… What happened to me…?" He asks weakly, coughing a little bit of blood.
As the adult Pro Heroes saw this, they could only watch the grim scene in defeat as they currently had no other idea about what they could do in order to save everyone from this terrible situation.
Seeing the humans' downcast reactions, the army of Reaper Legion Roidmudes begin to laugh at them, mocking the people of U.A.
"Hang on, All Might! We will save you!"
Everyone quieted down as all eyes turned to now look at Kamen Rider Tracer, who was sporting a furious expression on her face, underneath her mask.
Just like many others, All Might was the Hero she idolized the most.
And for her to see him in such a sad state…
"You won't get away with this, Roidmudes!" She cries as she summons her Pat Megabo. "C'mon, Drive!"
Tracer calls her partner as she heads first into the battle.
"Wait!" The black vigilante tries to stop his kouhai, but fails at it.
'Yuriko…' He looks worried at her, hoping that she doesn't end up doing something rash before soon following after the female Kamen Rider.
"Get them!" One of the Reapers cried as they all charged toward the vigilantes.
Seeing that they have no other choice but to hope that the Kamen Riders win against the Roidmudes, everybody from U.A. began to pray for their victory as their fates now rests in the masked warriors' hands.
"The Kamen Riders… Once again they are also fighting to help us… Just like then..." Midnight comments, remembering how she is only alive because of Tracer and, still surprising to her, how Lupin saved her and Hizashi a few days back then when they faced the Coreless Reaper Legion.
Dark Drive and Tracer got back to back, watching each other's blind spot.
The black vigilante summons the Blade Gunner and the Handle-Ken in both of his hands, twirling them around as he dual-wields the weapons before proceeding to cut apart all the nearby enemies.
*Slash!* *Slash!*
Tracer does the same with her personal weapon, decapitating one of the evil minions with her Pat Megabo.
As this happened, the others couldn't help but be amazed at their skills and become impressed with how the masked duo was easily taking care of their enemies.
"Amazing. They are easily taking care of the Villains despite being outnumbered." Mirio comments with wide eyes, Tamaki and Nejire agreeing with him.
Although the Big Three and everyone else was still disapproving of the Riders' method of killing their foes.
"Tracer! Combo Time!"
"Right!"
Dark Drive calls her as they make a combination attack.
She can grab onto the black vigilante's hands and they will both spin very fast. Upon letting go of the female Rider, Tracer's entire body starts to act like a boomerang, furiously spinning around, as her momentum breaks, even more, the Reaper Roidmudes apart.
*Crash!*
"Each of them has proven to be resourceful and dangerous on their own… But when the two of them are working together… It seems that nothing can stop the Kamen Riders." Vlad King comments as he watched the battle with a troubled look, having mixed feelings at the thought of being saved by the same man that previously punched him hard some time ago.
"Flare!"
"Winter!"
Dark Drive and Tracer each call for these Shift Cars specifically before making use of their abilities.
[Tire Koukan! Max Flare!] Belt-san announces as Max Flare's Shift Tire adorns Drive's torso.
[Shift Car! Tire Koukan! Hieru(To chill)!] The Mach Driver Honoh says as Tracer's Kourin Signal now shows the Ability Crest of Road Winter.
"Now they are using a combination of fire and ice…!?" Shoto comments with a look of surprise, suddenly feeling a sense of interest as he watches the vigilantes using a mix of fire and ice attacks to beat some of the Reaper Units.
He actually starts to imagine himself being there beating the monsters with these attacks instead of the masked duo.
"Give me strength!" Tracer cries to her partner as Dark Drive orders another Shift Car to support her.
Shift Formula comes into view as Tracer inserts it into her Pat Megabo.
[Formula!] The Pat Megabo announces.
XXXXXXX
Based on a Formula One car, Shift Formula is a sentient Shift Car of the Advanced System which enables Kamen Rider Drive to transform into Type Formula, enabling him to move faster than Type Speed and manipulate wind as well as equipping him with the Trailer-Hou.
This Shift Car was created by Krim Steinbelt himself a long time ago where, like Shift Deadheat, usage of it can enable Drive to resist a Super Heavy Acceleration field. However, Krim was forced to hide its existence as Shift Formula's usage is more dangerous than Shift Deadheat due to the presence of G-Forces on the Drive System.
XXXXXXX
[Hissatsu! Full Throttle! Hieru(To chill)!] The Mach Driver calls as Tracer pushes the Ignition Booster for a Finisher.
[Hissatsu! Formula! Full Throttle!] The Pat Megabo announces.
"Program Advance! Blizzard Force!" Tracer calls as she combines the power of Road Winter's ice and Shift Formula's wind into one, creating a powerful cold tornado with her figure in the center, also raising her personal weapon above her head with both hands.
The resulting tornado is so strong that it manages to catch all of the remaining Reaper Legion units, trapping them within it as they spin around the tornado that slowly starts to freeze each of them.
"And for the finale! Let's heat things up!" Dark Drive calls as he performs his own finisher.
[Hissatsu! Full Throttle! Flare!]
"Blast Burn!" The black vigilante generates a fire tornado on his own, with him in the center, as he sends it straight to Tracer's cold one.
"They are going to clash!?" Ochaco questions, wondering what will happen next once the heat and the cold connect.
"A superheated blast!" Shoto's eyes widen as he concludes, the dual-element boy thinking about his own Flashfreeze Heatwave Super Move after seeing some similarities with the Riders' actions.
*Boom!*
It turns out to be exactly as Shoto predicted as a large explosion happens as a result once Tracer and Dark Drive's attacks meet. All the Reaper Legion Roidmudes are instantly destroyed due to this action while Dark Drive and Tracer step out of the explosion, both looking completely fine and triumphant once the attacks disperse.
"They really did it… They defeated all the Villains…" Izuku muttered, still trying to process how two individuals have beaten over one hundred enemies on their own.
Most of the captivated people looked in awe at this.
While they were still against the Vigilantes' brutal methods of handling Villains, they were still grateful enough that the masked warriors had apparently come to rescue them, also coming to respect the vigilantes' strength.
'Just how strong are the Kamen Riders? Are they a product of your work, Krim?' Toshinori wonders, still trying to connect how the masked fighters are somehow related to said scientist.
"All Might!" Tracer calls the Symbol of Peace as she resumes her task of freeing her Hero idol from his bindings, with her partner soon following after her.
"Hold on, Tracer! There could be more Roidmudes nearby!" Dark Drive tries to warn her.
"You called?" A voice asks, echoing through Ground Beta's premises.
The Drive Team stops in their tracks as they and the captives look around, trying to find out who just spoke.
"You're doing well." Another voice says.
"Who's that?" Tracer asks.
[You two, be careful.] Belt-san advises the masked cops, his emoji changing to a serious one.
"This calls for a celebration..." A third voice declares.
"The Kamen Rider System... A truly marvelous weapon. Were it only in more... Capable hands..."
Terminus' mocking voice could now be heard, quickly making everyone that he captured become tense as previous memories of him tormenting them begin to haunt everyone from U.A. High.
Sinister voices soon laugh throughout the area, making the humans feel even more uneasy at this.
"Show yourselves!" Dark Drive shouts.
BGM - Kingdom Hearts: Organization XIII Theme
The Drive Team and the others all look above them as they saw the Terminus Roidmude appear from out of a dark portal. The captured people gasp and some become frightened of his reappearance while others glare at their recent tormentor.
The dark figure then raises his arms, and eight other sinister figures appear from other dark portals, who are revealed to be none other than the rest of the Executive-class Roidmudes, also in their respective monster forms.
"Damn... More Roidmudes!" Dark Drive exclaims, being unable to identify only Terminus amongst the assembled mechanical monsters as the rest of them seemed to look just like how Krim described them to him and Tracer while their encounter with Malware, at Hosu City, was still fresh in their minds.
"It's that guy from Hosu...!" Shoto comments as he, Tenya and Izuku paled at the sight of Malware.
[They all seem to be Executive-class enemies…!] Belt-san comments as he becomes apprehensive once he scans the familiar forms of the golden Over Evolved Freeze Roidmude and the Plain Spider Type 004 Roidmude, his evil doppelganger.
It seems that much to his dismay, those two were revived as well in this new world…
"Good. Now we can settle this." Tracer declares, looking ready to attack them with her personal weapon.
"What a shame... And here I thought we could be friends." Terminus playfully replies to her.
The Roidmude agents decided to disappear into the dark portals, laughing in their voices.
"Stop!" Drive shouts at them.
Tracer rushes toward the crucified All Might with her partner.
Suddenly, Terminus reappears in front of them.
"Careful!" Drive says as he pulls Tracer back.
"What's the big idea?" She snaps at him before the two of them focus back on their next enemy.
"Oopsie-daisy." The Executive says, waving his hands dramatically to the masked duo.
"Move!" Dark Drive yells at him.
"Now, do you think that's polite? Shutting me down like that?" The armored Roidmude rhetorically asks.
"What? Are you deaf or something? Get out of the way!" Tracer says.
"As if! You can bark all you want, but that won't change a thing." Terminus talks back.
"Then we're gonna make you move!" Drive replies, now pointing the Blade Gunner at the evil android.
"I'm right behind ya." Tracer adds.
"See, that would work, if I were just any old dude. 'Cept I'm not. I'm part of our Organization's Executives. Nothing 'any old' about me." The evil figure says, pointing a thumb towards himself.
"Ha! Tough talk for someone who stood on the sidelines while his Roidmude flunkeys did the fighting!" Tracer snaps.
"Oh, dear. I think you got the wrong impression." The Terminus Roidmude says, wagging a finger at the Riders.
"You gonna cry?" Dark Drive asks.
"As if! Why don't I remind you how tough the crowd you're dealing with really is?" The Executive monster asks back.
Dark Drive and Tracer got on their guard once he said those words, now glaring underneath their masks at the new mysterious enemy.
The evil figure simply laughs at this, being able to partly imagine the glares that the vigilantes were sending him.
"That's right! He used to give us that exact same look." The Executive Roidmude says with a tone of amusement in his voice.
"Do you think you can try, and psych us out by saying random stuff?" Dark Drive questions.
"Gee... I just don't know." Terminus talks back, spreading his arms out.
"..."
The Kamen Riders stare down at the mechanical figure.
Soon, Terminus straightens up as a dark aura starts to come out from his body.
"..."
In silence, Toshinori could only look puzzled as he tried to make sense of whatever the three of them were talking about.
The same could be said for the hostages, who were also hearing the talk between the Drive Team and Terminus.
"What are you after? Why have the Roidmudes attacked U.A. this time? Did you bastards get some sort of sick inspiration from the League of Villains' failed attempt back at the USJ?" The black vigilante questions the gladiator-like monster.
"Straight to the point, huh? You know, I'm actually starting to enjoy talking to you, Drive. You don't mince words. Nor is boring like those so-called heroes." Terminus says, sneering at All Might.
The captives also look furious with his choices of words but are unable to retaliate against him.
"Answer us, Roidmude!" Tracer cries. "Depending on the answer-!"
"What are you going to do?" Terminus cut her off.
"Not forgive you, of course." Drive says next.
"As expected. I also don't think that you'll forgive me."
The Executive Roidmude then sighs before pointing his finger at Dark Drive.
"Everything that happened today has all been done in order to lure you here. Drive! Krim Steinbelt!"
"*Gasp!* K-Krim!?" All Might gasps upon hearing the familiar name.
So it was true!
His investigation was right! Steinbelt was involved in this, but just how exactly!?
[...] Belt-san simply glares at the Roidmude.
"Krim Steinbelt?" Izuku repeats the name that he first heard from Malware.
"Wait, the CEO of Steinbelt Corporation!? Could this be the identity of Dark Drive!?" Tenya questions his friend as Shoto seems to nod in agreement.
"It could be." Todoroki offers.
The rest of the captives also seem to contemplate this.
'Krim Steinbelt… Just who are you exactly?' Nezu ponders.
"As for everybody here at U.A.? They are nothing more than mere bait to catch the bigger fish." Terminus resumes speaking as he gets next to Toshinori, forcefully pulling the Hero's head by the hair.
"Argh!" The Symbol of Peace grunts in pain.
The Executive monster then shows that other than everybody gathered there at Ground Beta, there was other personnel of U.A. High(students and Pro Heroes alike) being held hostage by the Roidmudes scattered elsewhere across the Hero Academy's premises.
"You… You started this whole attack… Just for us?" Tracer questions, still trying to process the whole thing as a feeling of guilt starts to consume her.
"Stop, let him go!" Dark Drive calls as Terminus complies, letting go of the wounded Toshinori. "You wanted us? Fine! But let the others go. They have nothing to do with this!"
The vigilante then looks back at the group of captured people, managing to see how many of the students were still terrified while their teachers failed to calm and reassure them.
It's not like anything they did would work with a beaten All Might being shown before all of them…
"Dragging someone who has nothing to do with this? You bastards never run out of dirty tricks, do you!?" An enraged Tracer questions Terminus. "I would expect nothing less from a coward!"
"Dragging someone?" Terminus parroted before he chuckled, imagining what he just heard as some sort of funny joke.
The AI threw his head back and laughed, the maniacal sound sending shivers down many spines. He wiped a nonexistent tear from his optics to further convey just how funny he found Tracer's statement to be.
"Did you actually just say that? How ironic."
"Ironic? How is any of this ironic!?" Tracer questions.
"Not counting this incident, do you know how many people you Kamen Riders actually dragged into this mess?"
"*Gasp!*" Dark Drive adopts a horrified look under his mask as he quickly understands what the Executive is now trying to say.
"Yes… The real reason we attacked U.A… It all started once you foolish humans decided to defy us!" Terminus elaborates. "As such, you dragged these guys into this as well!" He adds, gesturing to the captured people within the black cage.
The Roidmudes didn't care about how many innocents they would have to hurt to get back at the Kamen Riders…
What matters to them is the result of it…
"..." Dark Drive and Tracer feel downcast at this, not having any idea of how to reply to their enemy's word for now.
[You two! Get a hold of yourselves! Don't listen to him!] Belt-san tried to warn the Quirklesses.
"I know, Belt-san… But… But this..." His operator tries to speak, now struggling a little to find the right choice of words as the Drive Team can feel everyone from U.A. looking at them with mixed looks.
'Dark Drive… Tracer…' All Might looks at them with a conflicted look.
Terminus keeps laughing at the Drive Team.
"Yes. That's your virtue and weakness. I've been watching how you people fight. None of you can be cruel if the situation calls for it. You talk about destroying us, but you still can't abandon people during a fight! Somewhere in your hearts, there will always be a strong sense of justice. And if you don't hold on to it, you can't bear the weight of your mission. Your spirits are weak!" He tells the Kamen Riders, further mocking them as well.
"And here you are exposing yourselves once again, all in order to save a bunch of vermin that is hardly worth keeping around. You guys are weak. Too weak!"
Terminus' words also seemed to hurt the people of U.A., destroying their spirits as it seemed that their hopes of being rescued were diminishing.
"Damn… What are we supposed to do…!?" Mirio curses, looking down in defeat.
"The brave and bold Kamen Rider Dark Drive… Due to your lamest sense of justice, this will be your first and last pathetic defeat!" Terminus taunts. "I'll make sure of it!"
"You…!"
Dark Drive's fists tighten as he now feels anger unlike anything else before in his life.
As Terminus sobered up, he became serious as well.
"Now then, let's get down to business." He starts before glancing at All Might. "I only have one goal to fulfill today. I want Dark Drive and Krim's heads."
"And you attacked U.A. just to lure them here? Why?" The Symbol of Peace questions.
"It could've been anyone really. As long it inflated the Kamen Riders' sense of justice and drew them out. But a no-name wouldn't be effective. And making this whole place hostage also seemed like a thrilling challenge that I couldn't find myself backing down as well."
"What do you plan to do with everybody now that the Kamen Riders are here?" All Might asks Terminus.
What the Roidmude says next surprises everyone…
"If Kamen Rider Dark Drive defeats me in a duel, I'll free all the hostages. Including the rest that isn't here at this Ground Beta."
What!?
Even the Drive Team seemed taken aback by the evil android's words.
[How can we expect you to keep your end of the deal!?] Belt-san demands from their enemy.
"I could've killed everybody here at U.A. and still drawn the vigilantes. But I didn't. All the humans in this school are still very much alive." The Executive explains as he then turns to look at the black cage, his gaze focusing specifically on Izuku. "And I suppose it will be entertaining to have an audience as well."
"You seem quite confident that you will be able to destroy me. But your arrogance will be your downfall, Roidmude!" The black Vigilante tells him.
Terminus chuckles at the man's defiant reply.
"We shall see, won't we?"
"No way! You want us to trust someone we know nothing about!?" Aizawa complains as he and the other teachers looked apprehensively at the Riders.
"Our students' lives' are irreplaceable, Aizawa. And at the moment, there's nothing else we can do but to leave this in the vigilantes' hands." Nezu tells them.
"But principal Nezu! Sir!" Vlad King tries to protest.
But once he saw the frightened looks of most of the students from class 1-B, Sekijiro went quiet as he now cursed his own inability to protect them.
"There's only one path!" Terminus speaks. "Now choose, Drive! What will you do?"
"The answer is obvious, isn't it!?" The black warrior replies to his foe, making Terminus delighted.
"Then I will be waiting for you." The Executive tells the Kamen Rider before walking away.
[Be careful, he's a powerful foe.] Belt-san advises his user.
"I've come this far to battle the likes of him. Dying is not an option." Drive replies to the sentient Driver.
As the Kamen Riders ran after Terminus, All Might suddenly called them.
"You two! Wait!"
While Tracer turns to face Toshinori, Drive doesn't turn around to glance at the defeated Pro Hero.
"I can trust you, right?" Yagi asks them before adopting a sorrowful look. "I still don't know what reason you have to face these Roidmudes… But you're risking your lives to save everyone here… Including me. Why? Why are you going this far to help us?"
At this, Dark Drive finally turns around to face All Might.
"It's nothing to do about being a hero or anything of the sort. But... Do you really need a reason to help someone in need?"
His pure answer makes not only Toshinori, but everyone else from U.A. gasp at his words.
"All Might, you have my word. I promise I will do everything in my power to save everyone here."
"Just who… Who are you? Are you Professor Steinbelt? Krim, is that really you!?" Toshinori finally asks the question he has been wanting to ask.
"..." The black vigilante becomes quiet for a brief instant before answering:
"I'm someone that belongs in the extreme domain. Nothing more than a mere shell."
Needless to say, Toshinori now got annoyed at Drive's cryptic words. He was actually expecting Krim to finally confess at least his real identity to him.
But then again the way this masked man was different from the way Steinbelt behaves.
Could this masked man really be someone else then?
[Didn't I tell you to always keep an open mind, Toshinori?] Belt-san finally speaks, making the Symbol of Peace look at the Drive Driver in astonishment.
The device was exhibiting a display with a smiling face to him.
Wait, hold on…
"Krim?" Yagi finally asks again.
[We can talk about this later as much as you want, Toshinori.] Belt-san assured.
"Belt-san!?" Drive looks at his waist device in disbelief. "Why are you talking with him!?"
[*Sigh* It can't be helped now that the cat's out of the bag. Toshinori heard my full name. He won't stop investigating until he confirms it. I would expect no less from him after all.] The Drive Driver explains to his user. [That's the kind of person he is. Yes, I would expect no less from All Might. And remember, he knows and is also friends with Detective Tsukauchi. Both of them could make things really troublesome if they ask the wrong things.]
At this, his operator had no counterargument as he grunted in annoyance. Right, it could be really troublesome if All Might asks Tsukauchi for help with his [Lie Detector]. And knowing them, they would know exactly how to make things difficult for the Drive Team later…
"Fine, we will talk later." Dark Drive tells All Might before running away, heading towards Terminus.
"W-Wait!" The Symbol of Peace tries to call him, but to no avail.
Kamen Rider Tracer was about to follow after her partner when another enemy suddenly manifested before her.
*Flash!*
"Back you go!"
"Argh!"
*Crash!*
The Malware Roidmude announces as he kicks the female vigilante away, making her crash against a nearby wall, leaving a hole in it.
"Tracer!" All Might called her, now getting concerned with her well-being.
"*Cough!* *Cough!* Damn it…!" The rookie Rider grunted in pain as she slowly recovered before standing against her new opponent.
"So you're also going to throw away your life to save these weaklings here?" The 003 Roidmude asks her.
"Some of the kids here can become great heroes someday. They will become the hope for a better future." Tracer replies to Malware.
"Those little brats? I highly doubt it. They are so pathetic once they are unable to use their Quirks."
"Then I suppose it's too much to ask that you leave this place?" The Rider asks him humorously.
"I can't do that. I would lose face with my superior if I don't show proper despair to you humans." Malware says as he then produces a lightsaber weapon of sorts and charges towards Tracer, preparing to cut her down.
*Clash!*
In response, Tracer quickly summons her Pat Megabo in Baton Mode, already prepared to repel her enemy's strikes.
"How annoying. Why do you Riders are so difficult to kill sometimes?" Malware grunted dismissively.
"Life is like a box of wonders, Malware. You never know what it has in store for you." Tracer replies to him as they keep clashing weapons.
"If I beat you, I will get all of your lives, understood?" Terminus asked his opponent.
Now alone, they could fight to their hearts' content with no risk of anyone getting in their way.
"Very well." Dark Drive said back to him. "But if I defeat you, all the hostages will be released."
The Roidmude Executive nodded, agreeing with that.
"I am a man of words as well. The winner acquires everything and the loser loses everything! That's competition!"
The two then head towards each other as their long-awaited duel finally starts!
The Closing Screen of this chapter shows Shift Formula, Max Flare(Full Throttle Ver.), Road Winter and Signal Tracer, side by side, with the logo of Kamen Rider Dark Drive behind them.

Author Notes:
Thank you for reading!
If you guys have any ideas or suggestions that I could use for this story, you're free/welcome to share!
Kamen Rider Dark Drive and the Terminus Roidmude finally meet, starting their long-awaited duel at last!
In case anyone got confused with the start of this chapter, the characters of MHA were trapped inside of a black cube/cage that seems to nullify their Quirks. I also decided to use this premise to make the Big Three, Mei and Shinso Hitoshi meet and interact more later with classes 1-A and 1-B.
Hope this chapter was good enough to start showing how dangerous Terminus can be as I developed more of his character role as a major Villain.
Question Corner!
(Please answer this in the Reviews if possible):
[Do you have suggestions about which characters from the MHAverse should be 'copied' by the Plain Roidmudes in order to create interesting Advanced ones? It can be anyone, not just the Villains. Heroes and Civilians can count as well if you have a possible suggestion.]
Review Time!
kamenrider50q: No, I don't plan to make Izuku become a Kamen Rider nor make him give up [One For All]. There will be an explanation in a later chapter about why doing this would be a bad idea.
Guest DCDGojira: Thanks!
#2nd review: Your idea sounds cool. But unfortunately, I can't make use of it. I already planned to later give Kamen Rider Dark Drive a power-up in the form of a Shift Car that combines the abilities of Types Speed, Wild and Technique into one.
And for that purpose, I will make use of the Toy-Exclusive Shift Speed Wild Technic Shift Car.
#3rd review: More or less since the Drive Team already saw that some of the previously defeated Advanced Roidmudes have been resurrected. Knowing this, Krim/Belt-san would easily come to accept that enemies such as Freeze and 004 could have returned as well.
Nice crossover idea. I could definitely make use of it when I make characters from my Kamen Rider Shinobi fanfic show up in my Dark Drive story.
yogaratw607: Thanks for answering the questions! This will help me later with the development of the next chapters.
I also agree with you in regards to Deku. I like him but there will be some changes to his development in this story's timeline.
Obsidian Nova Arc: Thanks for answering the questions! This will help me later with the development of the next chapters.
Toshinori will not reveal the fact that only Quirkless people can become Kamen Riders yet since he wants to have a talk with Krim first and hear his side of the story before making a decision.
Toa Solaric: Thanks!
No, Izuku won't become a Kamen Rider in this story. And yes, he will get some reality check in regards to his behavior.
SynchroRegis: Thanks! I'm glad you liked this chapter.
Akashi1412: Yeah, maybe it could be something that mainly involves the Shift Tires. Thanks!
For'Sleep 3rd: Thanks! Hope you liked the chapter!
Thanks for also answering the questions! This will help me later with the development of the next chapters.
Yeah, do you have any idea about a character from the Hero Side that should be copied by a Roidmude?
Not sure yet how the Kamen Riders will fix the way society works. But they will definitely prove to the world that one doesn't need Quirks to be a true hero.
Well, there will come a time when the MHA characters will find out the truth about the Drive Team. Of course that doesn't mean they will be able to fight on equal terms against the Roidmudes and the [Slowdown] issue right away. They will mainly be having support roles.
Yes, there will be a world-end scenario case because of the Quirks. I will try to explore this idea later.
D3lph0xL0v3r: Thanks!
Yeah, the MLA will definitely hate the Kamen Riders once they learn that only Quirkless people can make use of the Rider System.
About Tsuragamae... Yes, it's something to do with Krim telling him in advance. His role will be something similar to that of Honganji Jun in this story.
Thanks for also answering the questions! This will help me later with the development of the next chapters.
hafizfaishal1402: Thanks! Hope you liked the chapter!
VSX-2018: Yes, he is a 'Villain' working undercover for Re-Destro, the leader of the Meta Liberation Army.
STUPIDHORMONE: Ok, maybe I'm gonna try to make use of this idea probably.
XenonKirito: Yeah, maybe. I will have to further think about it.
JadalierRune: They still have Roidmude 004, who is literally a clone of Krim and has the same knowledge about the Kamen Rider System as him. It wouldn't be hard to imagine that they would eventually come to the same conclusion that only the Quirkless can become Kamen Riders with 004 around.
Lycrow: Ok! Thanks for answering the questions! This will help me later with the development of the next chapters.
Guest(1): No. I'm sorry, but I'm not really interested enough in Kamen Rider Kuuga to make a fanfic story with him.
TheOkWriter: Ok! Thanks for answering the questions! This will help me later with the development of the next chapters.
FlameFireZero X: That sounds nice. Yeah, maybe I could use something like this in a later chapter. Thanks!
Guest(2): Thanks!
sanedimentio: I'm glad you liked my story! Thanks! Yeah, Drive is also one of my favorite Kamen Rider Series.
Guest(3): Thanks! Glad you liked my story!
Austin: As you have seen in this chapter, it is revealed that Terminus has done something to stop the characters from using their Quirks. The same can be said for principal Nezu, who can now only use his brain to talk with others rather than perform high IQ tasks.
As for MHA, I really hope that the manga/anime comes up with a solution for the Quirk Singularity Theory and the other social problems since I still have no idea what I'm supposed to do to deal with it in more 'humane' ways.
Yes, All Might finally found out in this chapter that Krim is somehow involved in this whole mess. And of course, he will contact these individuals that you mentioned in the review later to discuss his findings with them.
As for the HSPC, it will take a bit longer for them to get involved. But you can expect that things will not end well once they poke the hornet's nest, which is everything related to the Drive Team.
So, what do you guys think? Please give me some reviews if possible.
If you are interested, please go check my other stories.
Also, thanks to everybody that followed, favorited the story and gave reviews.
See You Next Time
