"Testing new CPU Gloves," Peter stated as he and Robin stood in the laboratory.
It has been quite a while since the mission in Santa Prisca, nearly two weeks. The team was mostly free since then beyond the usual trouble in their respective city of operation, which left the team's scientist with a lot of free time.
Peter spent his time memorising the base's schematics, researching files, and working on his gear. Thankfully, John managed to convince Batman to let Peter keep one of the Hard Light Lenses, but the scientist wanted them to be a bit smaller in size to fit what he has in store, so it'll take some time before they managed to cut a piece of the larger Lenses.
While waiting for the lenses, Peter went to upgrade his CPU Glove with Robin helping. Though, the Boy Wonder was simply providing some of the parts Peter was missing rather than taking part of the actual work. Robin was interested in the CPU Glove and already asked the scientist for his own or at least upgrades to his gauntlet, which the scientist agreed to do later.
Tapping some of the holographic buttons, Peter connected to the base's system and showed footage of the main hall, where Aqualad, Miss Martian, and Kid Flash were. "Alright, everything seems in order," Peter commented.
"Nice," Robin praised before noticing what the three on the footage were doing. "Wait! They're playing air hockey! KF was supposed to wait for my turn dammit!"
The boy wonder then speed walked out of the laboratory. Seeing that he already finished most of his plans for the day, Peter saw no reason not to follow, if just to see the performance of the L.A.P.I.S. as they used it on game-mode.
Reaching the main hall, Peter and Robin saw that Kid Flash and Aqualad were playing against each other, with the former eating a banana as he played. Despite eating as the match was going, Kid Flash seemed to have the advantage thanks to his fast reactions. Eventually, he managed to score the final goal on Aqualad just the Zeta Tube lit up.
"Recognised: Superboy, C-0-4," the system called out as the last member of the team came out of the tube.
"Hi, Superboy," M'gann greeted as the Kryptonian clone walked between them and through the air hockey table, causing it to vanish. "How was Metropolis?"
She was ignored as Superboy simply kept glaring as he walked away. However, he stopped when a new voice cleared their throat. "Ready for training, everyone?"
Looking at the new arrivals, M'gann was quick to identify them. "Black Canary... uncle J'onn!" She cried out, seeing Martian Manhunter.
This was Peter's first time seeing Martian Manhunter in person. He saw him on news reports and recordings, but a closer view made the difference between him and M'gann apparent. Martian Manhunter looked less human than M'gann, having sunken cheeks and a somewhat oval-shaped head. His eyes were completely red and his uniform, while similar to M'gann's, was mostly black and red.
Quickly, M'gann went and gave her uncle a hug, who smiled warmly at his niece. "M'gann, I was in the neighbourhood, and thought I'd check in on how you're adjusting."
"A few bumps," M'gann admitted before smiling. "But I'm adjusting."
"That's all I ask," Martian Manhunter stated, placing a supportive hand on her shoulder.
Black Canary saw Superboy turn around to leave and called him out. "Stick around! Class is in session," she called out as she walked to the centre of the main hall. The floor under her lit up before the light spread across the rest of the floor panels. "I consider it an honour to be your teacher. I'll throw a lot at you. Everything I learned from my own mentors - Urgh," Black Canary flinched while taking off her jacket and held her bandaged bicep. "And my own bruises."
"What happened?" M'gann asked.
"The job," Black Canary replied before simply throwing away her jacket and placing her hands on her waist. "Now, combat is about controlling conflict. Putting the battle on your terms. You should always be acting, never reacting. I'll need a sparring partner?" She offered.
"Right here!" Kid Flash immediately raised his hand and stepped forward. "After this," Kid Flash said as he threw the banana peel away. "I'll show you my moves."
Peter would have already left as he obviously had no reason to stay, but he wanted to see how fast Kid Flash would be sent to the ground, seeing that he obviously didn't take the fight seriously.
Black Canary smiled at Kid Flash before throwing a direct punch, to witch the Speedster blocked. However, the punch turned out to be a faint as Black Canary quickly swept Kid Flash's feet and sent him to the ground. The floor panel under him showed 'Kid Flash: Status: Failed'.
"Urgh. It hurts... so good," Kid Flash groaned, trying to play off the failure.
"Good block," Black Canary praised, picking up the fallen teen and pulling him to his feet. "But did anyone see what he did wrong?"
"Oh, oh! He hit on a teacher and got served?" Robin suggested.
"Dude!" Kid Flash berated, obviously clueless on how his attempts were neither subtle or impressive.
Black Canary decided to answer. "He allowed me to dictate the terms of-"
"Oh please," Superboy cut her off, speaking for the first time since he arrived. "With my powers the battle is always on my terms. I'm a living weapon, and this is a waste of my time."
Peter frowned hearing the clone. Superboy having temper was nothing new. However, he seemed particularly bothered today. Considering M'gann stated that he came back from Metropolis, the scientist figured that something must have happened there.
"Prove it," meanwhile, Black Canary raised for Superboy's challenge.
The Kryptonian clone seemed surprised for a moment before he stepped forward. Kid Flash stepped back and joined the rest of the team as Superboy crossed his arms and stood across Black Canary. At the same time, they both took a battle pose.
Superboy through a punch that Canary dodged before grabbing his outstretched arm and throwing him over her shoulder, sending Superboy on his back, with the floor under him showing 'Failed' like it did to Kid Flash.
Robin laughed at the Kryptonian but his humour was obviously not shared by the rest of the team. Kaldur hit him with his elbow and caused Robin to stop.
Superboy got up and growled at Black Canary. "You're angry, good," the heroine said, seeing a chance to give advice. "But don't react. Channel your anger-"
She was cut off by Superboy simply charging at her. Seeing him come from a lower angle, Black Canary took hold of his arm and jumped over his shoulder. Swiftly, Superboy turned around, swinging his hand at her, only for Canary to bend down, avoiding the strike, and giving a swift kick that knocked Superboy off his feet and on his back.
Robin tried, and failed, to conceal his laughter by covering his mouth.
"That's it!" Superboy cried out in rage. Black Canary offered him a supporting hand but he knocked it away and picked himself up. "I'm done!"
Superboy attempted to leave only to be stopped by Black Canary placing a hand on his shoulder. "Training is mandatory."
The Kryptonian clone shrugged off her hand and was about to say something when alarms began flaring in the main hall. "Batman to the cave," a giant screen showing the Dark Knight appeared. "Five hours ago, a new menace attacked Green Arrow and Black Canary. The attacker was capable of studying and then duplicating the powers and abilities of it's opponents," another screen showing a human-like android with orange skin, red eyes, pointy ears, and green pants fighting members of the Justice League popped up. "Arrow called for reinforcements, which nearly proved disastrous as our opponent simply gained more and more power with each no combatant."
"Woah," Kid Flash mumbled in shock. "One guy with the powers of the entire League?"
"In the end, it took eight Leaguers four hours to defeat and dismantle the android," Batman finished his explanation.
"An android?" Robin stepped forward, looking a little shaken by the news. "Who built it? Dr. T. O. Morrow?"
"Good guess, Robin," Batman praised, which seemed to bring Superboy down for some reason, before shooting the idea down. "But Red Tornado doesn't think so."
"The technology bares the signature of professor Ivo," Martian Manhunter revealed to the team.
"But, Ivo is dead," Aqualad commented, having heard of the evil scientist's death from his king.
"So we thought," Black Canary said, showing that the League also thought the same. "Or hoped."
"What a waste of technology," Peter commented, looking over the footage of the android with disdain. "Imagine creating something like this just to send it on a rampage. This is the scientific equivalent of building a car with your bare hands just to push it off a hill into traffic."
"You will be joining this mission, Peter," Batman said, catching the scientist and the rest of the team by surprise. "I'm pulling all stops to ensure that this threat is permanently neutralised," a map appeared near the screen showing Batman. "That's why the pieces will be moved in two separate trucks into two different Star Labs in Boston and New York to be analysed so we can safely get rid of them. Every percussion is being taken. To create confusion, we'll send out four additional trucks as decoys to ensure Ivo or anyone else will not find the pieces, but just to be safe we'll have the team guard the two real trucks by splitting into undercover teams. Peter will be joining one of them in order to make sure someone we know is keeping watch over studying the pieces."
Peter doubted that they would send the pieces of such a dangerous android into labs that they didn't already have someone on the inside of. The scientist believed this was a form of test by Batman, to see if he can be trusted or cut out for field work if necessary.
"Yes! Road trip!" Kid Flash cheered.
"So that's what we do now? Take out your trash?" Superboy, meanwhile, was not pleased with the assignment.
"You had something better to do?" Batman asked, causing Superboy to go quiet and look away. "I'm sending the coordinates for the trucks' starting point."
Aqualad pulled out a small tablet from, seeing the information being sent to him. "Coordinates received. On our way!" With that, the team plus Peter moved out to head to the mission location.
However, Superboy's shoulder was caught by Black Canary, making him turn to her. "When you're ready, I'll be here," she stated firmly, a supportive squeeze from her hand. Superboy stared at Black Canary for a few seconds before she let him go and he went to find the team.
Time Skip:
Litchfield County is where the mission began. Far off the road, several trucks were guarded by superheroes and soldiers as scientists uploaded the android parts into the two real trucks. The Team, who were wearing similar biker suits and helmets, were hiding behind a collection of trees on motorcycles. Superboy glanced at Superman, who was checking on the Team's position before turning away, before putting on his helmet with a frown.
Batman raised his hand and gave the signal to move. The trucks began moving out, each of the heroes moving with the fake trucks as the team followed the remaining two before they split up. Miss Martian, Kid Flash, and Aqualad were in one group, and Superboy, Robin, and Peter were the other.
Once all the trucks went their own way, the teams stuck close to their respective convoys. As they rode their bikes, Robin drove closer to Peter and Superboy. "If 'dislike' is opposite of 'like', does that make 'aster' the opposite of 'disaster'? You see, instead of things going wrong, they go right," the boy wonder asked.
Peter replied, "The word 'disaster' is given a meaning through adding the prefix 'dis' to the utterance 'aster'. On its own, 'aster' has no actual meaning."
Robin hummed before smiling at the scientist. "You know what? I think I'll make it a thing. From now on, aster means things go right."
Peter rolled his eyes, realising that Robin didn't truly care for the correct form of words. Looking over at Superboy, he noticed that the boy of Steel didn't even notice their discussion.
"Everything alright, Superboy?" Peter asked.
"It's Canary," Superboy looked away with a grunt. "What business does she have teaching combat skills to a guy with super powers?"
"Defeating stronger enemies is kind of part of the job," Robin replied, turning his gaze to Superboy. "Canary learned that the hard way. Same with Batman and... Well, me," he added with a shrug.
"Is this really about Canary?" Peter asked, remembering the mood Superboy was in when he came back from Metropolis. "You were in a bad mood before training began."
Superboy didn't answer and simply accelerated his bike to go past his teammates, who looked at him in concern. "Clearly he's not feeling the aster."
"You're really going to make that a thing, aren't you?" Peter asked and Robin smiling was the response he received.
Suddenly, metallic laughter echoed in the air as many figures jumped from the fields beside the road. Flying through the air and heading towards the truck was a large group of robotic monkeys with green light around their bodies. Several of them managed to reach and latch on to the truck.
"Robin, Peter, Superboy! This is Aqualad! Our truck is under attack!" The voice of their team's leader shouted from their comms.
"Yeah, I kind of figured!" Robin replied as more robot monkeys filled the air.
"I hate monkeys," Superboy grumbled.
"Robot monkeys? Totally Ivo's tweak style!" Robin commented with a chuckle, reaching for the screen on his bike and tapping it. A red and yellow 'R' flashed as the bike transformed. The front wheel moving back to the centre of the bike to keep it balanced while the back wheel split from the bike before spreading to turn into a hover droid. "Quick! Change your bike to battle mode!"
Peter tapped the screen causing his own bike to go through the same transformation. Superboy, however, had other plans. "No point!"
The Kryptonian clone jumped off his bike and landed on top of the truck. As soon as he made it, he kicked away one of the robots and began punching the rest. The sudden jump caused his bike to swerve out of control and fall in front of Robin, who had no choice but to jump off the bike and shoot a grappling hook from his wrist at the truck to avoid falling on the ground.
Pulling himself to to clutch the truck's side, Robin began kicking away the androids that were trying to break into it. Peter was about to go and help Robin, but noticed the truck start swerving and realised the robot monkeys were most likely attacking the driver. Seeing that Robin mostly had himself handled, Peter decided to speed up and go to the front. The hover drone of his bike followed him as he spotted the monkeys that had the front of truck covered.
Pressing a few buttons on the screen, the hover drone began shooting lasers at the monkeys, taking out the ones covering the front at first to give the driver a chance to see the way. The scientist kept shooting off the monkeys off the front of the truck before he heard a scream.
Looking over his shoulder, he saw Superboy being carried off by the monkeys and dropped off the truck. Knowing that Superboy was unlikely to be harmed by something like this, Peter focused back on the task at hand only to realise that, in his moment of distraction, the monkeys have started piling on his hover drone and caused it to start dropping.
Moving out of the way as his hover drone dropped to the ground and crashed, Peter had no choice but to make some distance between himself and the cargo now that there's nothing he can do. He watched as Robin pulled himself to the top of the truck before pulling out a pair of extendable poles that split into nunchucks.
As the Boy Wonder began whaling on the robot monkeys, beating them right and left, Superboy came back, landing on the top of the truck and began attacking the monkeys. Peter then saw two of the monkeys sneak towards the truck's tires.
"Look out!" The scientist tried to warn his teammates but it was too late as the monkeys blasted the tires off.
As the truck began going out of control, Robin put his weapon away and moved above the driver's door. "Get out!" The Boy Wonder ordered and the driver did as he was told, opening the door and jumping out.
Robin grabbed hold of the driver and made his own jump, making sure both land on the fields of wheat besides the road. Peter moved away as the truck, with Superboy on it, swerved before falling on its side and flipping on its back.
Peter stopped a bit away from the truck, which proved to be wise because the cargo's door burst open before the robot monkeys flew out, holding the large box with the android pieces with them.
Robin, who was helping the staggering driver sit down, walked into the road besides Peter and watched as the monkeys flew away with the box. Superboy then burst from under the fallen truck by flipping it away and glaring at the monkeys. Before Peter or Robin can say anything, Superboy began jumping in the directions the monkeys went.
"Superboy!" Robin tried to call him out, but was ultimately ignored.
"Aqualad to Robin. We lost our cargo, did you-"
"It's gone," Robin sighed, cutting Aqualad off.
"And so is Superboy. He went after the monkeys," Peter added as he got off the bike and walked towards the remains of the monkeys before taking out his new CPU Gloves, pulling a cord from one of them, and plugging it into a robot's back.
"Aqualad to Superboy, radio your position!" Aqualad spoke again through their comms. "We'll help you-"
"I don't need help! Don't want any!" Superboy yelled back through his communicator before he went silent.
"Superboy?" Aqualad called again, hoping to reason with the Kryptonian clone, but received no response.
"I think he ditched his comm," Robin commented.
"Super! Now we can't track him," Kid Flash groaned sarcastically.
"He's out of my telepathic range," M'gann attempted to find Superboy her own way but failed. "This professor Ivo, if he is alive, seems to be two steps ahead of us. Maybe we should contact Red Tornado?"
"Tornado always tells us to handle things ourselves, and the mission can still succeed if we can get back the pieces before they're reassembled," Aqualad stated.
"That's a great plan except for the part where we don't know where to look!" Kid Flash whined.
"We actually do," Peter stated, tabbing on the holographic keyboard and revealing a map on the screen. "The parts give off a specific GPS tracking signal and I just hacked into it. I'm tracking their movement right now," he stated, watching as two dots moved through the map.
"So that's why we didn't hear anything about the other trucks being attacked, because they knew which trucks to target," Robin commented, looking over Peter's shoulder at the maps. "It looks like the two targets will contact at... Gotham city?" The boy wonder's surprise at seeing his home city being the target was evident in his voice.
"That far south?!" Aqualad sounded like he just bit into a lemon. "M'gann and I will never make it in time. I'm sending Kid Flash to meet up with you ahead of us."
"Alright, let's go," Peter unplugged the cord and walked to his bike, waving his hand and causing the screen to grow smaller to the size of a phone screen and above his palm. Getting on the bike, he looked at Robin. "Want a ride?"
"Nah, I got it," Robin pushed a button on his gauntlet, causing his bike that he ditched before to begin moving on its own. As the bike began heading towards him, Robin looked around at remains of the battle. "Definitely a disaster. Heavy on the 'dis'."
Time Skip:
Peter and Robin entered the roads of Gotham city, following the signal of the pieces. A yellow streak came by and revealed Kid Flash running besides them, now in his hero uniform.
"Hey, you changed too?" Robin commented, having already changed into his own uniform. Peter did not know how or when did Robin change, but he felt that he should leave the questions for later.
"You kidding? I feel naked in zippies," Kid Flash shuddered before looking at Peter. "You still tracking the parts?"
"They were originally moving around the city's borders but now they changed course," Peter replied, looking over the map. "They're headed for Gotham Academy now."
"My school?" Robin seemed extra shocked. He was worried that taking the parts to Gotham and heading for his school now was not a coincidence.
Peter would have pointed out that Robin just revealed a hint on his identity, but considering their situation, he believed it would be a bad idea to put even more pressure on Robin, and instead stayed quiet.
They drove through the roads and saw the school building with a hole at the front wall. "Hey, they'll probably cancel school for you," Kid Flash joked to lighten the situation.
Robin smiled as he took off his helmet. "I don't know. Batman can be pretty strict with attendance records," his smile vanished as he looked at their team's scientist. "Peter, you should get out of here. It's not safe."
"And YOU should be reporting this to Batman and calling for backup, yet I don't see you reaching for your communicator," Peter argued back without a hint of hesitation. Truthfully, he didn't want to miss this chance to see the android in action.
Robin groaned and shook his head. "Fine, but you stay here!" The Boy Wonder was worried that, if he tried to force Peter to leave, the scientist might try to report this to the Justice League.
Before Peter can reply, Kid Flash zoomed in with Robin following close by. Peter stared at where the heroes went, the silence of the night allowing him to hear the commotion inside.
"Well, this team was made because 'stay here' was ignored. I may as well keep up with the tradition," Peter stated as he got off his bike and started walking into the building. It wasn't hard for him to find where the fighting was with all the noises.
Meanwhile, within the Gymnasium, Robin, Kid Flash, and Superboy were struggling against the now assembled android while a skinny man with greying red hair watched from the side on the bleachers. The man was accompanied by the robot monkeys that had attacked the trucks, which were laughing at the heroes as they struggled.
"Accessing: Martian Manhunter," the android's stated as its arms extended in length, turning to tentacles that it used to knock Superboy away into the bleachers on the other side of the ones the man was sitting on. Using its arms, the android tried to crush Robin only for Kid Flash to tackle the Boy Wonder out of the way. The android's arms returned to normal, turning its head to Robin and Kid Flash. "Accessing: Black Canary."
The Robot opened its mouth and sent a sonic shockwave at the two heroes, knocking them away. Superboy removed the rubble and wood on top of him and looked at the battlefield, seeing Robin and Kid Flash down as the monkeys around the man laughed.
Thinking that the current situation was his fault, Superboy hung his head. "Access... Black Canary," he repeated what the android said, thinking back on Canary's lesson.
The man gave a mocking yawn. "Normally, my Amazo would copy your abilities. But, what's the point? You're all just cheap copies of the originals anyway," he mocked.
Superboy glared at the man, but before he could do anything, another voice cut through the Gymnasium. "I see, so this is what the android is capable of."
Looking at the entrance, everyone saw Peter standing there, looking over the battlefield. The team's scientist was still wearing his zipper biker suit and helmet. The dark environment ensured that his face couldn't be seen behind the visor, and that the only visible aspect was the single, blue glow of his prosthetic eye, giving him an ominous feeling.
"Oh, another kid trying to play hero? Have my Amazo humiliating your friends not serve as enough of a warning," the man chuckled while the robot monkeys laughed.
"What is he doing here?!" Robin whispered through his grit teeth and Kid Flash shrugged.
"I'm not exactly a hero. You may call me The Scientist. I assume you are professor Ivo?" The question was obviously rhetorical as Peter turned his head to look at Ivo. "When I heard of your invention, I honestly couldn't wait to see it in action. The claim that this 'Amazo' you call it can take the abilities of its opponents fascinated me."
"Oh, a fan is it," Ivo seemed to eat up the praise and lean back on his seat. "Yes, yes, my Amazo is quite amazing, isn't he?"
"But now that I've seen it in action, I can tell you without a shadow of doubt, that it's a pile of garbage stacked together," the sudden change of tone caught everyone off guard, bar Kid Flash who covered his mouth to not draw attention to himself.
Ivo sighed in annoyance. "A pity. I thought that you were smart enough to see how incredible my-"
"I have already figured out how this little toy of yours work," Peter cut Ivo off. "I can count several faults and defects just from the top of my head. But, why should I when I can just take it out myself?" Peter raised his hand and pointed his palm, which began glowing, at Amazo. "I have a special ability that is perfect for this situation and can take this thing apart right now. Just watch as I destroy your toy easily."
Robin, Superboy, and Kid Flash were confused as they knew that Peter had no 'special ability'. Ivo, who did not know that, became cautious. "Amazo, scan and identity."
"Scanning," the android said as its red eyes began glowing. As soon as it did, Peter's palm lit up and a holographic screen appeared, showing numbers in and letters in an order similar to a binary code. "Scan comple- Error. Erro. E-Erro."
The android took a step back as its head began twitching in different directions. "What's going on! Amazo, report!" Ivo cried out.
"V-Virus D-D-D-Detected. V-V-Virus D-D-Det-t-tected," Amazo glitched as he responded.
"That's impossible! My Amazo cannot be hacked," Ivo cried out, standing up in shock.
"Normally, I suppose that's the case for lesser minds," Peter stated, crossing his arms. "But, if I program the virus to look like a super power for it to scan and infect the core its using to store the data of the powers it copied, it can easily bypass any firewalls and security you have in place," Peter then turned to his teammates. "He can't switch between powers properly! Take him down!"
The Scientist's call was like a trigger for his teammates. Robin threw a couple of bombs at the android, which turned to the Boy Wonder. Raising one of its arms at the bombs, Amazo attempted to destroy them.
"Accessing: Captain Ato- B-Black Canary," instead of shooting lasers through his arms, the android's mouth changed to give a sonic shockwave, but because of the angle it was in, it did nothing to stop the bombs as they exploded on it upon contact.
Kid Flash came in from the smoke and punched the android as he passed by it. Turning around to attack again, the android turned its attention to the Speedster and attempted its eyes glowed red.
"Accessing: Superma- Red T-Tornado," Amazo attempted to shoot lasers through its eyes, but the setting changed midway again and instead winds collected near its arms and legs, throwing it off balance and making Kid Flash's next attack knock it on its back.
Amazo attempted to stand back up again, but as soon as it got on its feet, Superboy came in and delivered a powerful punch at the android's back, sending skidding backwards. Superboy then gave another powerful punch, and then another, and after the fourth, the android finally corrected itself and glared at Superboy.
"Accessing: Black- Martian Manhunter," once again, the setting changed halfway through, and Amazo's body became transparent.
Superboy's next punch went through Amazo's head, but instead of passing through, Amazo's body returned to normal as it cancelled the ability because it was the wrong setting with Superboy's arm still inside its head. Sparks flew off the android's head as Superboy violently tore out his arm, causing the android's head to explode and send him flying back.
Both Superboy and Amazo fell backwards, though the latter lacked a head now. As Kid Flash walked up to Superboy and stood besides him as he sat up, Robin and Peter went to see the fallen android. "Quick! Help me disassemble him, now!" Robin cried out.
Kid Flash gave the other two a deadpan stare. "Dude, the guy has no head," the Speedster commented.
"Don't take any chances!" Aqualad stated as he and Miss Martian came in running.
"Superboy!" M'gann helped the wounded Superboy up. "Are you okay?"
"Fine," Superboy, despite his injuries, smiled before looking at Robin. "Just feeling the aster," the boy wonder smiled back at the Kryptonian clone.
"Hey, where's Ivo?" Kid Flash asked, realising that the android's creator was gone.
"He ran away as soon as he realised my virus really WAS effective against Amazo," Peter replied as he looked over the limps of the android with Robin. "Now, do you plan to help us dismantle this thing so we can finish our mission?"
Time Skip:
After the team disassembled the pieces, minus the head which was destroyed so they simply gathered the broken remains, they split up again and successfully delivered the pieces to their designated Star Labs with Peter staying with his group's cargo as it was picked up.
Peter was led by soldiers through the halls of Star Labs. When they reached a pair of heavily fortified doors, one of the soldiers swiped an I.D. card at the panel near the door before placing their hand on a scanner next to it. When access was granted, the doors opened and revealed a very largr laboratory filled with all kinds of equipment. Amazo's pieces were in a large glass tube with several scanners moving around it.
There was only one person in the laboratory. An African American man with short hair and, despite having a lab coat and an I.D. hanging around his neck that confirms him to be a scientist, looked to be an athlete. The man's build was rather muscular and healthy as he stopped looking at the reports in his hands and smiled at Peter as the soldiers allowed him to walk in.
"You must be the help Batman talked about. Nice to meet you. I'm Michael Holt," the man introduced himself.
(A/N: Thank you for reading this.
I guess many of you were hoping Peter would do more with Amazo? Well, sadly, Young Justice's Amazo seems to lean towards being a robot more than his other versions, and after looking deeper into it, it was sadly not as impressive.
That doesn't mean his time in Star Labs won't be helpful to him. There will be some stuff he gets done there and talks to be made.
Again, thank you for reading this. Please comment, review, and give me your thoughts on my story.)
