The Last Knight
Chapter Two: Equestrian Hijinx
The next day, after fighting off Ludo and his minions and allowing Star to stay, the Diaz brothers returned home with the princess and retired for the rest of the evening. Now it was Saturday, the three kids spending the day to hang out and watch TV.
Sitting at the kitchen table, Richard was fiddling with his gemstone he had received the night before, tying what looked like a string around it, fashioning it into a necklace.
"And finished!" He proudly declared, holding up the now necklace with pride. "Thanks again for the string, Star!"
Looking over, the princess was sat on the couch with the laser-eyed puppies.
"No problem!" She said with a smile as she was petting one of the puppies. "Spider web silk makes for good necklaces!"
Tying the necklace around his neck, Richard joined Star on the couch. "So, you gonna keep your word and tell me more about Mewni?"
"You bet!" Star declared. "You see, Mewni is an alternate dimension, my home and that of the Mewmans, ruled by my family, the Butterfly family. It's a land divided into several kingdoms ruled by kings and queens of various species. The most notable kingdom is Butterfly Castle, ruled by River and Moon Butterfly, my dad and mom!"
"Wow." Richard said with awestruck eyes. "And I assume it's where magic originates from?"
"Yup!" Star said with a nod.
"Hold up, there's something that bugs me." Marco spoke up from the kitchen. "So, from what you told me earlier, you two have met each other years before you physically met."
"Yup." Richard nodded.
"And all this time, the two of you have believed that the other is your respective imaginary friend."
"Yup." Star repeated.
Marco paused in confusion before asking, "And do either of you care to explain how the two of you met each other?"
Both Star and Richard sat in silence before getting up from the couch and approaching the bar countertop and leaning forward.
"How about no." Both said in unison.
Marco blinked in confusion before shaking it off. "Oookaaay. Anyways," He turned back to the stove. "All right, Star...Feast your eyes on this!" He then turned around, holding a plateful of hot, cheesy nachos.
"Marco's Super Awesome Nachos!" Richard sang.
Star clapped excitedly before picking up a nacho chip covered in cheese and gasped. "Triangle food!"
"My brother makes the best nachos and cheese." Richard declared before taking a cheese covered nacho and eating it.
Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. Marco walked over to answer it, still holding the plate of nachos, but when he opened the door, no one was there. He looked left to right before his sights set on…a literal head and neck of a unicorn without a body with light blue fur, a pink mane, which seemed to constantly flow and flutter, teal eyes with gold stars for pupils, and a teal stripped horn, and on each sides of her neck was a pink heart, and sparkles and glitter was falling out of the bottom of her neck.
"Yo, what up, home fries?" The pony head said casually.
Staring at the head in shock, Marco let out a shrill scream before falling over, spilling his nachos all over himself, prompting Star and Richard to peek out the doorway, Richard staring in confusion at the floating head of a horse before him.
"A floating pony's head." He said with slight surprise. "Well, considering magic is involved, I shouldn't be surprised."
The minute Star saw the floating pony head, she let out a gasp. "Oh, my gosh!" She said before stepping outside, unknowingly stepping on Marco, who groaned in pain as the princess stepped on him. "Flying Princess Pony Head!"
Richard raised an eyebrow. "Pony Head? That's her literal name?" He asked, stepping outside and carefully stepping over his brother.
"Surname, actually." Star said. "Her first name is Lilacia, but I always call her 'Pony Head'."
"Oh, hello, 'B-Fly'!" Pony Head greeted with energy, she and Star giggling as they shared a hug. "Girl, we're going out tonight! Are you ready to make some ba-a-ad choices?"
"Let me just wake up Marco." Star said, pointing a thumb over her shoulder at Marco, who was still on the ground, motionless and covered in nachos and cheese.
"Oh, that is not a dead person?" Pony Head asked, having an expression that said she wasn't impressed.
"Not... dead..." Marco groaned.
"Pony Head, meet my best friend, Marco Diaz." Star introduced, she and Richard helping Marco up, the princess waving Marco's hand. "And this is Richard Belmont," She then gestured to Richard. "My other best friend."
"Your best friends?" Pony Head said, taken aback.
"Huh? Oh, no-no-no! On Earth!" Star quickly clarified, waving Marco's hands around. "You're my best friend on Mewni." She looked at Marco and Richard. "Marco, Richard, this is the pony I've been telling you about."
Marco looked up as Pony Head got up close and snorted in his face with pink sparkling clouds from her nostrils.
"I hate your face. Plus, you're ugly." She said before laughing, Marco's face turning to annoyance before she pressed her cheek against his. "Just kidding. That's a joke." She looked to Richard and took notice of the Endless Knots on his cheeks. "Whoa, a Mewman? Here?"
"Yeah, I'm having a hard time believing it myself, to be honest." Richard said. "So, if there are bodiless unicorns, does that mean there are headless Pegasus around?"
"There are, actually, but they're a bunch of freaks." Pony Head said with a nod, a bit of concern on her face. "You know, you kinda remind me of this one stallion head I've been seeing. Almost identical, I think."
"Trust me, replacement is the last thing on my mind." The boy Mewman defended himself. "Besides, I've been thinking about someone myself."
"Right, whatever you say." Pony Head said before facing Star. "Tick-tock, girl. Let's paaartaaay!"
Excited, Star looked at the boys. "Yeah, guys! Let's paaartaaay!"
"You know, I wouldn't mind seeing what this party is all about." Richard admitted before looking over to his brother. "What do you say, Marco?"
"With her?" Marco said, pointing at the floating pony head. "Um, okay, well, I was gonna... But I... I was gonna..."
As Marco tried to come up with an excuse, Star gave him sad, pleading puppy dog eyes and a pout, something that Richard was all too familiar with, whenever he wanted his adoptive brother to do something, something he wasn't too proud of.
Unable to resist, Marco sighed. "I... Ugh. Alright." He relented, picking a nacho off his hoodie and eating it.
"My three besties are gonna be besties!" Star exclaimed, pulling all three into a group hug.
"Sweet! Let's go!" Pony Head said before she stuck her tongue out, revealing a pair of scissors with a red handle with a light blue diamond in it and silver blades.
Star let out a gasp in awe. "Dimensional scissors?! Aah! Jealous!" She declared.
"How in the world do you keep those in your mouth?" Richard questioned.
Ignoring the question, Pony Head flew up a bit and cut at the air with the magic scissors, cutting open a magic portal.
"Wait, we're going to another dimen—"
"Come on!" Star declared, grabbing the two boys and pulling them in, not even allowing Marco time to finish his sentence.
Pony Head was the last to enter, going in halfway through the portal, but stopped a moment to look around suspiciously, as if looking out for anyone potentially following. After making sure she wasn't being followed, she fully entered after the three, the portal closing behind her.
Just as the portal closed, another opened, and out stepped three men in masks with glowing red eyes and wearing brown/grey uniforms with black gloves.
Looking around, the shortest of the three men squatted down and picked what looked like glitter on the ground and sampled it.
"Glitter. She was here."
Soon enough, the group of four fell out of the portal, the whole time free falling with Star and Pony Head laughing before they landed on a couch-shaped couch. Marco and Richard, on the other hand, both landed on the hard floor face first.
Both Marco and Richard groaned as they pushed themselves up and saw where they were. They were inside what looked like a club of sorts with a theme of clouds, seeing several alien creatures dancing around the club and on the dance floor and a robot on the DJ.
"Where are we?" Marco asked.
"And why does it remind me of one of those dance clubs on TV?" Richard added.
"The Bounce Lounge. My favorite place to chill." Star answered, while relaxed on the cloud couch. "Just stay away from the edge."
Marco was confused as he got up and walked a bit, then stopped when his brother halted him, the two looking down at the ground under the clouds – a cap-wearing skeleton was impaled by spikes. Marco screaming as he stumbled back, thankful that his brother had stopped him from nearly falling over the edge.
"And why, pray tell, isn't there a safety rail?" Richard remarked.
Rather than answering the rather important question, Star pulled both boys away from the edge and toward a photo booth.
"Marco! Richie! Photo booth, photo booth! Come on!"
Giggling, Star shoved Pony Head, Marco, and Richard into a photo booth, popping up between them as they took several photos.
In the first photo, the four smiled, and captions reading 'yay', 'good times' and 'Happy Besties!'. In the second photo, Star stuck out her tongue, and the captions reading 'Cheese!', 'Get out of TOWN!', and 'poot'. In the third photo, Star made a silly face as Marco laughed and Richard gave a toothy smile and winking, and a caption that read 'I friend'. In the fourth photo, Star and Pony Head made duckfaces, and the captions reading 'DUCKFACE' and 'STYLEZ 4 MILEZ'. In the fifth photo, all four make silly faces, and a caption reading 'What's up?'.
"Whoo! Now... just you three!" Star said. "A souvenir from the night my besties became besties. Yay."
Almost the minute Star left the booth, Pony Head got in Marco's and Richard's faces, giving a sharp glare.
"Listen. We are not gonna be besties." She sneered. "We are not even gonna be second-besties."
The booth takes a photo of Marco, Richard and Pony Head smiling, and a caption that read 'Super Kawaii'.
"'Second-besties'? That's not even a thing!" Marco protested.
"Also, aren't you being a little possessive?" Richard tried to reason.
"Ohhhh! You wanna make this a thing?"
The booth took another photo of Marco, Richard and Pony Head smiling, and the captions reading 'LETS ENJOY', 'HAY GURL!', and 'PARTY LIFE'.
"Look here, Earth Turd. And you too, Loop Face." She said, her sass never leaving her threatening tone of voice. "This night is really important to me. You mess that up," She then pointed her horn at the boys' necks. "and you both are gonna get the horn!"
The booth took another photo of the three, with Richard and Marco sitting back-to-back and with Pony Head resting her chin atop their heads, and the captions reading 'WE ARE COOL!' and '#1', before reverting right back to the floating pony head threatening the boys.
"Got it?! Good. Real good." She said, floating to the curtain before reverting back to her happy self. "Later!"
Pony Head then exited the booth, leaving a frightened and shuddering Marco clutching at his chest, while Richard didn't seem to take too kindly to her threat.
The booth took a photo of Marco's frightened face and Richard's glaring face, and a caption that read 'OH NO SHE DINT!'.
"Brother, we do not need to stand for this." The Belmont boy said. "We need to tell Star about this right now."
"Yeah, I'm with you." Marco nodded.
The brothers left the booth and saw Star and Pony Head on the dance floor, dancing to their hearts content, Star laughing and Pony Head whinnying.
The brothers walked up to Star, hoping to get her attention. "Psst! Star," Marco whispered to the blonde princess. "We need to talk to yooouuu!"
Suddenly, Star grabbed both boys by their hands and spun around with them, laughing like no tomorrow.
"Star, listen!" Richard tried to get Star's attention. "Pony Head threatened to—!"
Suddenly, Pony Head shoved Marco aside, much to Richard's shock as his brother hung over the edge of the cloud, screaming.
"Marco!" Richard yelled, running over to him. "Hold on, I've got you!"
"Fall, fall, fall, fall..." The two looked down and were confused to see the skeleton below chanting.
"Aren't you supposed to be dead?" Richard questioned, the skeleton sweating somehow before going limp. "Too late."
"Marco! Richie!" Star called, running over and helping Richard pull Marco back up. "Guys, you need to be careful."
"We were before your friend tried to kill my brother!" Richard hissed.
"Yeah, Pony Head just tried to shove me off this cloud!" Marco added.
"Ohhhh, noooo." Star said, waving it off. "She just gets a little wild when she dances."
Hearing the whinny of a horse, they saw Pony Head riding on the back of one of the dancers.
"Well, she also threatened to skewer us in the photo booth!" Marco told her.
Hearing this, Star was surprised before looking down, ashamed. "Yeah... She can be possessive."
"Star, while I wouldn't mind getting on Pony Heads good side," Richard said. "I'd rather not have to tip toe around her toxic possessiveness. It's unhealthy."
Star knew that the Belmont boy was right. For as long as she had known her, Pony Head was always envious whenever Star showed interest in another person. Not to mention aggressive.
Suddenly, she had an idea.
"Pony Head! Let's go to the Amethyst Arcade. Marco and Richard will have more fun there." She suggested, looking over at the floating pony head, still dancing like no tomorrow.
"No! Way! Girl! I'm! Getting! My! Dance! On!"
Her tone change, however, when she saw a portal open up and the three masked men appear stepped out onto the cloud, much to her shock, before she hurriedly flew over to the trio, dimensional scissors in mouth.
"Yes, you are right, Star. They will like the arcade better. Let's go!" She said as she quickly opened up a portal before flying in.
"She's warming up to you." She sang before pushing the boys in and following after, plugging her nose as if she was about to dive into water.
Both Marco and Richard were wide-eyed and drooling right now.
"Holy pixels!"
"Hoopa da boopa!"
Right now, they were standing in the largest arcade that they had ever seen, the Amethyst Arcade practically putting any other arcade back home to shame. It was a cavernous dimension consisting of crystal walls and floors, lined with various crystalline video game booths and arcade machines. Icicles hung from the ceiling, and were even sold to customers.
"So many video games!" Marco said in awe.
"Pinch me, I must be dreaming." Richard shared his brother's amazement.
"Yes, I knew you would like it here." Pony Head rolled her eyes. "This place is full of squares."
Occupying the various arcade booths, there were several customers that were nerds with square-shaped bodies.
Looking around, Star's face lit up at the game station that looked similar to that of Dance Dance Revolution.
"Look. Lance Lance Revolution." She declared. "That's perfect! You guys, go play!" She then pushed Marco and Pony Head to the game station, the two growling at each other competitively before picking up the lances serving as controllers. The game started and the two started jousting, trying to beat the other in the game. Star and Richard stood off to the side, watching, and soon enough a crowd started to form.
"You're going down, downer!"
"Oh, yeah?! Well, your mother's a horse!"
"Uh, okay, and your point would be?"
Star and Richard watched the two play, Star smiling like a fool while Richard was watching with interest.
"Well, at least they're just playing a game." Richard said. "And not trying to kill each other."
"Aw, look at you two getting along." Star said, placing her hands on Marco and Pony Head's backs, only to retract them when she noticed how sweaty her friends were, her hands covered in sweat. "Ewww. Oh! I'll go get us some nice cold icicles to put on your disgusting sweaty back."
As Star left to do what she said, Richard looked over and saw a game station that made his eyes widen when he saw the title.
"No way." He said as he approached it. "Streets of Rage?!"
Stepping up to the machine, Richard remembered playing the game late nights with Marco, the two playing the game to the death to see who could get a higher score. Looking over and seeing how Marco was still playing the jousting game with Pony Head, the platinum blonde boy shrugged.
"Guess I'll brush up my skills."
Starting up the game, Richard worked the controllers, moving his character to beat up the enemies that came his way, making him smile like a maniac as he played through the level.
Right now, he was playing a childhood favorite, unaware of the small spark of lightning within his hands upon the machine.
Meanwhile, a square was playing a Whack-a-Mole!-like video game, when the three masked men approached from behind.
"Hey, you. Square."
The square turned around, the shortest masked man holding up a photo of Pony Head.
"Have you seen this head?" He asked.
The square grunted in confusion, which made the masked man get up in his face. "Don't lie to me, little man."
Hearing a familiar face, Pony Head shifted her eyes and gasped at the sight of the masked men, dropping her jousting lance, allowing Marco to get the win.
"Hah! Who's the turd now?" Marco boasted.
"Still you!" Pony Head declared as she flew off.
Marco didn't let the comment bother him, as another square approached the game. "Uh, I think I'm next. But with less abusive trash talk, please."
Meanwhile, Star was waiting in line at the icicle stand, while another square in front of her couldn't seem to make up his mind.
"Um, let's see. Do I want the pointy one or the pointier one?" The square pondered, unable to decide in between the icicles that seemed exactly the same. "Oh, it's such a tough choice."
Star, on the other hand, didn't seem bothered. In fact, she was also debating which icicle she wanted, when Pony Head flew up to her.
"Hey, Star, I'm bored. Uh, I know this other club, so let's bounce." She nervously said before spitting out the dimensional scissors.
"Sounds cool. I'll go get Marco and Richard." Star said as Pony Head cut open a portal.
"Oh, no-no-no-no-no. They went on ahead." Pony Head quickly said. "Um, yes, they wanted to save us a good spot in the mosh pit. Yes, that is the course of events."
"Oh, classic brothers." Star chuckled, not finding anything of what her Mewman bestie was saying suspicious. "Always putting friends first."
Star then jumped through the portal, with Pony Head following after her. Back at the Lance Lance Revolution game, Marco had just won another round.
"Hah! Did you see that, Star? Try and beat that, Pointy Head!" Marco boasted, only for his pride to turn into confusion as he looked around and saw neither his Mewman friend nor the flying pony head. "...Star? Pointy Head?" He also took notice of the absence of his Mewman brother. "Richie?"
Suddenly, he felt the strong hand of one of the masked men on his shoulder, breathing heavily, the Latino boy noticing that he was surrounded by masked men, his eyes wide with fear.
Meanwhile, Star and Pony Head were currently at an underwater club called the Scum Bucket, laughing and crowd-surf.
"Is this not a blast or what, B-Fly?" Pony Head asked.
"Yeah-heah!" Star declared, but frowned when she didn't see her two male friends from Earth. "But I don't see Marco or Richard anywhere."
"Pfft! You got me, girl. And I'm way more fun!" Pony Head scoffed, and if she had hands, she would be waving it off.
"Uh, what are you talking about?" Star asked, confused.
Pony Head chuckled nervously, knowing that she couldn't keep up the lie anymore. "Uh, heh, funny story. You're gonna love it." Taking in a breath, she told the truth. "...I kinda ditched them and left them in the other dimension. Oops." She let out a nervous chuckle when she finished.
"What?!" Star screamed before falling to the floor with a yelp.
"B-Fly!" Pony Head gasped, floating down to her friend.
"How could you do that to my best friends?!" Star demanded as she got to her feet.
"Best friends?!" Pony Head repeated in disbelief. "Last time I checked, the best friend was me!"
"I can have three best friends." Star said before crossing her arms and looking away. "Unless one of them is a friend-ditching liar."
Pony Head stared at her in surprise. "That Earth Turd and Loop Face mean that much to you?" She asked.
Star looked at her with determination. "The best turd and face I've ever known."
Pony Head thought about how she had been acting. For as long as she could remember, Star was one of the few people that could keep up with her party girl personality. But then there were times that the floating head would get possessive anytime the Butterfly Princess would be with other friends.
And after hearing how these two Earthlings mean so much to Star? Deep down, she knew her behavior was wrong.
Sighing and shaking her head, she looked up. "Okay."
Back at the Amethyst Arcade, Richard was having the time of his life. He was still playing the Streets of Rage arcade machine, racking up the highest score at the game, more than anyone had scored before. He wasn't sure, but he wasn't focused on that; just soaring through the levels and reliving his childhood favorite game. The whole while, a crowd of squares gathered, amazed by the skills he demonstrated.
"Wow, such skills." One of the squares said in awe.
"Look at that score!" Another said. "It's over nine thousand and still going!"
Finally, Richard had beat the final level, the high score on display, the boy letting out a cheer.
"Yes! New high score!"
Suddenly, the machine seemed to go haywire, sparking with electricity, much to the surprise of the squares and Richard.
"Holy cow!" Richard gasped dramatically. "It's cursed!"
Suddenly, several pixels spilled out from the screen before taking form of the fighting characters in the game, much to Richard's confusion. And imagine his surprise when the characters Adam Hunter, Blaze Fielding, Axel Stone, and Max Thunder stood before him, all bowing.
"Amazing." One of the squares said in awe. "Did you do that?"
"I think so…" Richard said, slightly amazed by the magic he just did, looking at his own hands then at the constructs with a smile. "I think I'll call this…Arcade Armada."
Suddenly, he heard a scream, recognizing it to be his brother before taking off, the constructs following behind him. Peaking out from behind another arcade machine, he saw his brother tied to ta chair and being interrogated by three masked men, the short one shining a lamp in his face.
"For the last time... where is she?!" The short masked man demanded.
"I'm telling you! I don't know!" Marco cried.
"Not talking, eh? What if I do... this?!" The masked man leader started flickering the lamp on and off.
"Stop! That's really annoying!"
Seeing his brother being interrogated, Richard started formulating a plan, before one sprung in his head, as he turned to the pixilated constructs.
"Alright, Arcade Armada," He said. "Sick 'em!"
The constructs then sprung into action, attacking the masked men, allowing the platinum blonde boy to move in and cut Marco loose with his sword.
"You okay?" He asked with concern.
"Yeah, just glad you showed up." Marco said, seeing the pixelated characters fighting the masked men. "Whoa, you found the Streets of Rage machine?!"
"Yeah, it was like the good days." Richard nodded. "I don't know how, but I think my Mewman heritage is awakening."
Suddenly, the pixel constructs started blinking before then vanishing, much to the horror of the brothers, as the masked men then turned their attention to them.
"Oh boy." Richard said, readying his sword and shield, while Marco readied his fists, the brothers ready for a fight.
"Oh, hey, creeps!"
The men turned to see Pony Head, a look of determination on her face.
"I heard you're looking to ride with a pony!" She yelled. "So come and get me!"
Taking their attention away from the boys, the masked men ran after her, the floating pony head letting out a whinny and a laugh before flying off, the masked men chasing her over and around machines, Pony Head laughing as she stayed ahead.
"Whoo!" Pony Head cheered as she flew. "Out of the way, squares!"
She ran right through several squares, said squares yelling out before falling back down and stacking atop each other like tetris, cheering upon forming a perfect square before the masked men ran through them.
"Boys!" Star jumped at Richard and Marco with a hug. "Come on, stop playing around!"
"Who's playing around?" Richard asked with a raised brow. "Better yet, where did you go off too?"
Meanwhile, the masked men were still chasing Pony Head, the floating head laughing and whinnying, before she started firing green blasts from her horn at several arcade machines, creating clouds of dust and scaring the square nerds.
"Whoo-hoo! I feel so alive! Whoa!"
She barely dodged one the masked men swiping at her, then blasted at the hanging stalactites with her magic, which fell on the masked men, who screamed as the stalactites fell on them.
Pony Head laughed, her laughter ceased however when she slammed into a wall and fell to the ground. Groaning in pain, she looked up and saw the masked men approach her, when Star, Marco and Richard jumped in front in her defense.
"Back off, creeps!" Star yelled, readying her wand.
"Don't worry, Pony Head! We've got your back!" Marco declared, readying a fighting stance. "...Of your head."
"This won't take long, I'm sure." Richard said confidently, readying his shield and sword.
Pony Head smiled at this before floating up, charging up her horn as Star readied to fire a spell with her want, Marco readying a karate stance, while Richard took a stance with his sword and shield, all ready to fight off the masked men, when suddenly…
"Time to give it up, cupcake."
The sound of the booming voice made everyone stop in their tracks, Richard and Marco looking around in confusion along with Star, while Pony Head's face was riddled with fear.
"Is that... King Pony Head?" Star asked.
Appearing from behind the masked men, King Pony Head appeared. Like his daughter, King Pony Head was a unicorn head and neck with no body. He had light teal fur, a deep blue mane and beard, bushy eyebrows, dark blue eyes with gold stars for pupils, and a teal striped horn. He also wore a golden crown with a purple jewel in its center around his horn. Like his daughter, his mane was constantly flowing.
Marco sputtered in utter awe, Richard and Star in surprise, while Pony Head had the look of a child that had just been caught with her hand in the cookie jar.
"Hello, Daddy." She said.
"Hello, princess." The father Pony Head replied in a deep, echoing voice.
"What is he doing here?" Star asked, whispering to her floating head friend.
"Oh, B-Fly, it's the end of the line for me." Pony Head said, giving a small smile to her friend. "But at least I got in one last night of fun with you, girl."
"One last night? Before what?" Star asked, completely confused.
Pony Head had tears in her eyes before she broke the news. "Before this! I'm going to St. O's!"
Star let out a terrified gasp. "Not St. Olga's Reform School for Wayward Princesses?!" She exclaimed, imagining a screaming Pony Head being pulled on a conveyor belt into said Reform School.
"St. Olga's?" Richard looked at the two princesses in confusion.
"St. Olga's is the worst place in the whole universe." Star said, terror in her voice. "It's a terrible, horrible place, and no one who goes in ever comes out the same!"
"So, a detention facility for princesses." Richard remarked, unsure why Star was making it sound so bad.
"Oh, it's true. I did it to myself." Pony Head said with a frown. "I'm headed to the slammer."
"It's reform school, cupcake, not jail." King Pony Head chimed in before looking away. "Although admittedly it is a lot like jail."
"Oh, Pony Head! You knew you'd get sent to St. Olga's, but you still came back to save Marco and Richard." Star said, looking at her pony friend with admiration in her eyes.
"Oh, well, you know... It's hard to say it, but they are your other besties. Okay, I said it."
"Ohhhh... Come here!" Star said, pulling her into a hug, both declaring 'hugs' and pulling Marco and Richard into the hug, unaware of Richard's amulet glowing a bit as he embraced the floating pony head.
"All right, princess. Time to go."
With that, the masked men put a muzzle around Pony Head and began dragging her away, a sad look on her face.
"Bye, Pony! I'm gonna miss you!" Star declared.
"Hey, Pony Head?" Marco spoke up, he and Richard stepping forward and gaining her attention. "Good luck in princess jail."
"It was good to meet you, Lilacia." Richard smiled. "I wish you the best and…I request that you never change."
Pony Head smiled. "Aw. Thanks, Marco, Richie. But don't worry about me!" Even as she was being dragged away, she still maintained her spirit. "No jail can hold on to me for long! Whoo-hoo-hoo-hoo!"
As his daughter was dragged into the portal, King Pony Head let out a sigh. "Kids... You have 'em, and then you... wish they weren't around."
And with that, King Pony Head went through the portal, said portal closing behind him, leaving the trio in the arcade.
"Yay! My besties are besties!" Star declared happily, stars in her eyes.
"Yeah... I wouldn't go that far." Richard said. "I'd say we tolerate each other."
"Yeah." Marco nodded before looking at Richard. "By the way, how did you do that pixel thing?"
"I'm not sure. I just made it happen, didn't I?" Richard said, before placing a hand on one of the arcade machines, placing a hand on it and making a sign with the other hand. "Arcade Armada."
As he said that, pixelated forms of Ryu, Ken, Chun Li and Juri Han jumped out of the machine.
"Amazing!" Richard declared.
"It looks like you're awakening to the magical blood in you." Star said.
"Can all Mewman's do that?" Marco asked.
"Only those with royal blood." Star told him. "That or they're trained in it."
Both brothers looked at each other in surprise, unsure what to make of it.
"Well, I guess it's something we can explore later." Marco said, before gasping in realization. "Hey! We're stuck in another dimension!"
"Oh, no, we're not." Star said with a smile before pulling out Pony Head's dimensional scissors. "Bleh!"
"Whoa!" Marco gasped.
"So, we can go anywhere we want with these?" Richard asked with excitement.
"Yup! Anywhere in the entire universe." Star nodded.
"I know just the place." Marco said, a smile on his face.
A few minutes later, the trio had returned home, Richard sitting at the kitchen table and examining the dimensional scissors, turning it over and looking at the blades.
"So, we can go anywhere in the universe," He mused. "I wonder if one of those worlds include anthropomorphic frogs…"
Putting down the scissors, he pulled up the gemstone held by the silk webbing, his eyes focused on the stone.
"What sort of secrets are you keeping…"
Suddenly, he raised a brow in confusion when he saw what he swore was a pair of eyes staring back at him from within the jewel. A blink later and they were gone.
"Was I seeing things just now?"
Putting it to the side for now, he looked over to see Star and Marco sitting on the couch, eating the nachos while watching TV, as well as sharing satisfied glances at each other.
Smiling, Richard joined them, sitting on the arm of the couch. "Hey, save some awesome nachos for me!" He laughed.
Outside, there was a cloaked figure watching from a safe distance, her violet eyes watching the three through the window, her gaze specifically looking at Richard. Under the hood, the woman had fair skin, purple and pink hair that reached her hip and she had eight pointed stars on her cheeks.
Turning away, she pulled out a pair of purple dimensional scissors before cutting open a portal, taking one more look at the Diaz residence before stepping in, the portal closing behind her.
Meanwhile, in a dark area, there was a growing shadow in the background, the sound of bending metal, tearing flesh, and breaking bones all echoing in the night. The shadow grew tall and shambled, growling as it took shape, a pitch black scythe forming in its hands.
It turned and showed its face before letting out a blood curdling roar.
And there's my take on Party with a Pony! This was fun, with Richard meeting and interacting with Pony Head and then there's the thing with the gemstone glowing during the hug. I'll let you guys guess on what it could mean.
And then there's the first spell Richard learns; Arcade Armada! This was suggested by Unity, and given that they were in an arcade dimension, I agreed that this would fit. Simply put, Richard's magic would be the same as Star's, having as much versatility that she does, only his would be more precise and the names he uses are on both on point and cool. Sorta like the Domain Expansion's from JJK. Of course, they're gonna start off weak, but strong enough, but over time, they get stronger as he trains in magic. I hope you like it, and I hope it doesn't make him too OP.
And then we have a creature you might be familiar with, if you've played League of Legends. He's based on Fiddlesticks, and I hope you stay tuned to find out more.
Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed and stay tuned for more! Reviews are greatly appreciated!
