"Last time on Total Drama- The Ridonculous Race..."

The footage showed MacArthur chasing the fake bunny, Mickey's finger being bitten by another bunny, and the Haters, Father and Son, and the Sisters, who had collected all their bunnies, running and lining up to turn them into the farmer. Then it showed Jacques and Josee, the latter applying white powder to a brown bunny, MacArthur chasing said bunny and the ice skaters laughing in the interview room before hugging at the chill zone. Next was Devin, covering his ears with rabbits and singing to himself before using his anger to round them up. The footage then showed the Stepbrothers being beaten up by the kangaroo, Mickey handing the cage with the albino bunny to the farmer and the stepbros being eliminated.

"Our bunny hunting bonanza saw the Ice Dancers bag, bully and backbite their way into first place. Dumped Devin took a trip down denial until Carrie pushed him into stage two of the seven stages of heartbreak; blinding rage. But the worst crash and burn belonged to the Stepbrothers, who were repetitively beaten up by a kangaroo they mistook for the albino bunny. But while the real albino was found by the twins, the stepbrothers couldn't even finish the challenge."

The scene switched to Don at the last episode's chill zone. "With only nine teams remaining, things are heating up. Who's about to be burned? Time to find out! This is... the Ridonculous Race!"

Don smiled for the camera.

[after intro]

"Welcome back to beautiful New Zealand, where the Ice Dancers are about to take today's first tip."

As the black-clad Ice Dancers ran to the chill zone, Jacques began speaking as the scene transitioned to them in the interview room. "Making a fake albino bunny may be unsportsmanlike, but..."

"Whatever." Josee finished before smiling with glee. "After six horrible finishes we're finally back in the lead! I can taste victory, and it is delicious."

The scene switched to Josee getting the tip from the Don Box. "Go go on the Loco."

"Teams must climb a dangerously steep path to this train destination. Then take a historic ride through New Zealand's lush mountains all the way up to decision junction where their next tips are waiting." Don narrated.

The Goths were shown running silently up the mountain as Stephanie yelled, "Faster Ryan! We're gaining on them!"

As they passed Crimson and Ennui, Ryan proclaimed, "I'm not slowing you down!" He gestured to the Ice Dancers ahead of them. "They are!"

Stephanie glared at the competition. "Move it, ice nerds! Your frozen butts are in our way!"

"What are you going to do about it? Yell some more?" Josee tauntingly asked. "Take your best shot. I may turn the other cheek." She pointed to her rear end and Stephanie only yelled more.

Ryan burst out laughing. "Burn!"

In the interview room, Stephanie complained, "That's not how you support your partner, Ryan."

"Come on, you got owned!" Ryan told her.

Stephanie screamed in anger as the interview ended, switching back to Junior running up the mountain.

"Come on Dad, we gotta make this train!" Junior stated.

"Don't worry, Sporto." Dwayne began. "I checked the schedule and..." The train whistle was heard in the distance. "Oh come on!"

He raced to catch up with his son and the train, but they were too late. The first train was leaving the station.

"Train number one leaves with the Haters, Goths and Ice Dancers." Don narrated.

The Ice Dancers waved to the other team, only to be hurt by their arms and being outside the window and rammed into a nearby pillar. They fell down as Stephanie laughed at their misfortune before stepping back inside.

"Aw, puss buckets!" Junior exclaimed.

"Language, mister!" He chuckled, trying to lighten up the situation. "Hey, listen, we'll get the next one, huh? Let's play a game while we wait." He got out a deck of cards. "I'll shuffle."

Junior got out his headphones. "No thanks, I'm just gonna listen to some music."

Dwayne looked down, disappointed. One of the cards, a red diamond, fell from the card stack as he answered, "Oh. Okay."

The scene switched to an interview with Junior looking at local magazines as Dwayne spoke. "Oh sure a million bucks would be sweet, but I came here for some quality time with Junior. Yeah the kid will be off to high school, dating, college, ahh! My little bird's leaving the nest!"

The camera focused in on Junior taking a magazine.

"I'll take this Mauri tattoo magazine. And uh.. got anything on how to chill out an embarrassing dad?" He was handed another issue. "Awesome. Thanks. 'New Zealand Parents- get your ankle biter to do whatever you want'."

Dwayne's cards were blown away by the wind and he attempted to chase after them, only for him to run into a column.

The scene switched to the Sisters, Twins, and Surfer Dudes running up the mountain. Geoff and Brody were ahead of the other two groups.

"And that's how I came to be so terribly horrified of snakes." Mickey finished.

"So even though you're immune to almost every known venomous creature you're still scared of them?" Kitty asked she ran alongside Mickey.

"Unfortunately so." Mickey sighed. "I realize that it makes little sense..."

"How do you guys remain so optimistic?" Kitty wondered. "I man, you guys are knocked down by the world and more often than not, people around you."

"Optimism is better than just lying on the ground in defeat. At least, that's what Jay always told me."

"Your brother is really a beacon of positivity, isn't he?"

"Yeah, I want to feel as optimistic as he is."

Mickey gazed into Kitty's eyes for a moment, stopping in his tracks along with the selfie queen.

"Come on Kitty, we need to move!" Emma told her sister.

As Emma passed them, Kitty quickened her pace to try and catch up with her sister.

Jay soon caught up with his brother and dragged him along. "Hey, Mickey. What was up with you and Emma?" He didn't answer. "Mickey, are you okay?"

Mickey shook his head in response. "Huh? Oh yeah, I'm fine."

Jay gave a soft "Hmm..." as they continued along. "Mickey?"

He didn't answer, looking like he was dazed as they continued along.

A series of shots were shown as the second train revved up and prepared to leave the station. The train whistle blew.

"Train number two leaves with Father and Son, the Sisters and the Surfer Dudes." Don narrated as the scene switched to Junior reading his parental advice magazine.

Dwayne came up to his son. "Hey sporto, what'ca reading?"

Junior quickly hid his parental magazine with the tattoo one. "Oh uh, a local Mauri tattoo magazine."

His father smiled in approval. "That's my boy. Soaking up the local culture." He quickly added, "No tattoos!"

"Hey, father and son dudes! Righteous!" Geoff exclaimed. "All aboard the bro-train!"

Geoff and Brody imitated a train whistle before the scene switched to the first train.

"Up at decision junction, the first three teams are already arriving." Don narrated.

The Ice Dancers, Haters, and Goths exited the train.

"Go! Hurry!" Stephanie exclaimed.

Josee pressed the Don Box and took the tip.

"It's an Either-Or." Josee began reading the tip.

Stephanie took the tip from her, much to her annoyance. "Jump Down or Jump Around."

A video montage began with Don explaining the challenge. "In today's Either-Or, teams can either bungee-Jump Down off the Kawaru Bridge and catch a local bowery fish with their bare hands." The fish cut the camera. "Or teams can Jump Around, to perform a traditional Maori haka- a warrior's challenge dance designed to terrify anyone subjected to watch it." Don tensed up in fear as they finished their rite. "It's effective!"

"Once teams successfully complete this Either-Or, it's a footrace to today's chill zone." He was shown at the Chill Zone. "Last team to arrive- say it with me now- may be cut from the competition." He looked around, his eyes darting. "Why didn't any of you say it with me? I said 'say it with me.'"

Back at decision junction, Stephanie had made their choice. "Jump down!" She and Ryan left to the challenge. "Come on!"

The Ice Dancers ran off smiling as the scene switched to the Ice Dancers in the Interview room.

"The Haters would rather jump down to their possible demise than face us in a dance competition." Josee smirked.

"Maybe they are not as dumb as they look." Jacques told them. "Maybe."

On the second train, the Surfers were telling Brody a story.

"He zipped me into a board-bag while I'm snoozing..." Geoff began.

"And I/he put him/me on the airplane luggage belt thingy." Brody and Geoff finished in unison.

Junior laughed with the Surfers as he gave Brody a fist bump.

Dwayne sadly watched the scene from afar. "Yeah, it's official. He'd rather be with his cool new bros then his uncool dad." He noticed one of the Surfer Dudes getting up. "Hey um, Brody, can I talk to you for a sec?"

Brody gave him a friendly smile. "Yeah, sure man, what's up?"

"Junior really looks up to you guys so well... how.. do I... you know... be like you?"

Brody made some gestures as he answered, "Let's say you're surfing wave. If you try to control it, you'll stiffen up and totally bail. You gotta chill, loosen up and let the wave do its thing. You get me?"

"Yeah, thanks."

The scene switched to the Surfers in the interview room.

"Dude, you should like be a guidance counselor or something." Geoff complimented. "Seriously."

"Thanks man." Brody gave him a fist bump.

Elsewhere on the second train, Kitty and Emma sat across from each other at a booth.

"So what was up with you and Mickey?" Emma asked. "You looked like you were getting pretty close."

"Oh nothing." Kitty answered.

But Emma was doubtful. "Really? It didn't look like nothing."

"Come on, Emma. Just because I speak with one guy doesn't mean I have feelings for him. I mean, me and Owen were on good friendly terms before the Reality TV Pros were eliminated in Iceland."

The older sister sighed. "I guess you're right." Emma folded her arms. "Perhaps I'm just being accusatory."

Kitty frowned and raised an eyebrow. "Ya think?"

The camera switched to Kitty in a deserted part of the train doing an interview. "Okay, I kinda do like Mickey. He's really nice and sweet, and he's so adorable. But how can I tell Emma this? She probably hates him and Jay after what happened! Oh, what am I doing?!"

Meanwhile, on the third train, Devin was complaining excessively offscreen.

"This is the slowest, lamest train in the history of trains!" He was shown angrily pacing, with Carrie and the Police Cadets watching him. "I am sick of trains and planes and donkey carts and luggage racks!" He punched an overhead storage bin and screamed as a suitcase fell on top of him.

Devin got up, a pair of boxers on his head, as Sanders said, "You do realize that traveling is part of the whole race thing so maybe you need to relax and..."

Sanders flinched as Devin yelled in her face. "Don't tell me what to do! You are not my girlfriend!" He backed away. "I know because I don't have a girlfriend anymore! She is dating her tennis instructor!" He growled in anger before pacing about the cabin.

The scene switched to Carrie giving an interview.

"Getting Devin mad at Shelley might be making things a bit awkward, but in the long run, it'll be worth it."

"I hate trains!" Devin exclaimed after walking away from the camera.

"Yep, totally worth it." Carrie nervously giggled.

As the interview ended, he punched the overheard compartments a few times before Carrie intervened.

"Devin stop!"

The two looked into each other's eyes for a moment.

"This is the express train folks, so please remain seated." the conductor reminded them over a speaker.

The train lurched forward, sending them flying back.

The two trains were shown racing side by side. Then the scene switched to Jacques and Josee watching the Maorian dance.

"As the teams from trains two and three race neck and neck, the front-runners from train number one are enjoying a healthy lead." Don narrated.

Josee smiled and waved her hand. "Yeah, okay, we got this." She turned to her partner. "Jacques?"

The two performed the dance step by step.

"Uug ooh woo ha, oocha whi woo ha hoo, oocha whi." they recited.

The performers clapped for them.

"Try it on skates sometime, then it might be impressive." Josee turned to Jacques and they soon took off. "Come on, let's go be champions!"

The scene transitioned to Ryan and Stephanie on the bridge.

"Oh fine. You want me to do this challenge? I'll do it." Stephanie said.

Ryan folded his arms and turned away from her. "Good."

"Better you than me anyway. You would just mess it up for sure."

"Ha, you wish I could tank."

Stephanie put the ankle latch around his feet. "Okay, prove it." Ryan noticed what she had done. "Ready?"

"How did you...?" he tried to ask.

"Nice a trip." Stephanie pushed him off the edge, causing him to scream as he fell.

Ryan screamed as he plunged into the river.

The camera zoomed out to show him in the background as Don walked on-screen. "Looks like Ryan is falling for Stephanie all over again." he commented. "But is he down and out for the count? The answer when we return on..." The camera zoomed up to his face. "the Ridonculous Race."

When the camera resumed, one of the trains was shown stopping.

"Train number three reaches the junction ahead of schedule and against all odds." Don narrated off-screen.

"Go!" Carrie exclaimed.

"Hustle!" MacArthur ordered her partner.

She and Devin, the Cadets and the Adversity Twins ran to the Don Box and took their tips.

"Jump Down or Jump Around." Mickey read.

"I say Jump Around." Carrie said to Devin.

"Sure, whatever." Devin punched a bunch of suitcases and a bunch of them fell on him.

"Devin!"

"Man, that guy has baggage." Sanders spoke. "Jump down?"

"Heck yeah." MacArthur answered in delight.

Mickey and Jay looked at the tip. "Oh boy..."

"Maybe we should Jump Down?" Jay suggested.

"I don't know. I get nosebleeds. Not to mention the fish could have sharp teeth..."

"Alright, Jump Around it is then."

The twins took their leave.

Meanwhile, the Ice Dancers reached the Chill Zone, posing and smiling in victory.

"Hello? Don?" Josee called out.

"What are you doing here?" Don asked as he walked onscreen. "Did you skip the challenge?"

"No, we finished it. I take it we're first then."

"Yes, yes, yes congratulations." Don quickly told them. "I'm going back to makeup."

The Ice Dancers cheered as he walked away.

The scene switched to them in the interview room.

"Is it just me, or is this game getting easier?" Josee asked her partner.

Back at the bridge, Stephanie and Ryan were arguing amongst themselves.

"Well, well. No fish, no surprise." Stephanie complained.

Ryan retorted, "Ah, you couldn't catch a fish with your bare hands if your life depended on it!"

"I could do it with my eyes closed!"

As they argued, Sanders began to approach them and took the bungee chord. "Thank you very much."

She glared at her. "Excuse me?"

"You're excused. You snooze you lose." Sanders told her, before turning to face her partner. "So, which of us is going first?"

"Relax, I got this." MacArthur attached the bungee chord to her ankle. "Cowabunga!" MacArthur screamed as she bungee-jumped down.

The scene switched to the Haters giving an interview as Stephanie spoke, "I don't like that they butted in, but I can respect it. A weakling like you can learn a lot from them."

"I don't think..."

She held out her left hand in a stop motion, exclaiming, "Weeeak!"

The second train arrived at the junction with the Surfers, Father and Son and the Sisters.

"Hurry dude, it's over there!" Brody exclaimed, pointing to the off-screen Don Box.

Junior took the tip as the Sisters and Surfers silently read over theirs.

"Jump Down or Jump Around." Junior read.

"Oh, Oh, definitely down." Brody said. "Bungee jumping is totally sick!"

"Take your ease. Chillaxify yourself." Dwayne said.

Junior looked at his dad in concern. "What happened with you?"

"Let's jet, Brobama. Jump time."

He made a fist like he was waiting for a fistbump and Junior gasped.

Junior's thoughts were heard as the scene switched to an interview. "He's trying to be cool! Ugh!" He rolled his eyes before looking at the magazine. "I can use this!"

Back at the junction, he returned the fistbump and stated, "You're awesome and I.. value your opinion."

"You do? I mean, cool!" Dwayne quickly corrected himself.

"But if all the teams choose bungee jumping, there's probably a wait." Junior theorized. "So... do you think it's worth exercising another option?"

"Okay, let's rock it! Out!"

Junior gave his dad a fistbump, this time with more enthusiasm.
