Coming back from the final break, the stepbrothers have made it to the gymnastics center. While Chet is able to do the first feat with ease, Owen and Kelly had a bit of trouble.
"Guess I was a little too heavy," Owen said.
"A little?" Brody asked.
"Maybe a lot," Owen answered.
Noah was unamused. Well, at least until he saw Emma leap over Owen, do multiple flips and perfectly land with ease.
"Incredible," Kitty said.
"Totally amazing," Noah said.
Owen then finishes, but not before landing on Noah.
"Woah," Owen said. "How did you not see me coming?"
"Something about Emma must have swept all my cares away," Noah answered.
"I know that look," Kitty said. "Were you crushing on my sister?"
"Just like how my son was crushing on Carrie," Dwayne Senior answered.
"At least you didn't make it an embarrassment," Dwayne Junior commented.
Chet then goes a second time and nails it with graceful precision.
Geoff: He's pretty good.
Lorenzo: Yeah, cuz he takes rhythmic gymnastics. If he had any guts, he'd sign up for my class: the ancient art of karate.
"Not all siblings have to like the same thing," Mary said.
"So far, Emma and Kitty have been excellent examples on why," Ellody said.
"But I still love her," Emma said.
Geoff thinks the stepbrothers make a good team, which Lorenzo says no to. He does however say yes to catching up with Chet, who finished the gymnastics challenge.
"Sometimes, I wish those two did have something in common," Geoff said.
"They do," Erin said.
"What is it?" Laurie asked.
"Hey!" Macarthur responded. "No spoilers, remember?"
Laurie facepalmed before saying "I'm such a fartknocker."
It then flips to Owen and Noah at the chill zone. They earned second place.
"Sweet!" Owen said.
"We might actually win this for a change," Noah said.
"I'll say you've won something," Kitty said.
The sisters then arrive, and they claim third place, which pleases Emma. Back at the gym center, Dwayne Senior is seen trying to complete the second challenge, but it's hard.
Don, the race for first place is over, and now it's a race for anything but last.
It's unclear whether or not the judge gave a thumbs up to Crimson or Sanders. What is clear is how tough the challenge is proving to be. For Ryan, Stephanie, while having a hard time staying calm, is not making it any better.
"It's not easy to keep calm when one is in a race to avoid coming in last," Stephanie said.
"Don't have to tell me twice," Ryan said.
More teams then arrive at the chill zone, starting with the stepbrothers, who get 4th place.
5th place: Kelly and Taylor.
For Devin and Jay, the pressure is starting to build.
"Even I was feeling the pressure," Carrie said.
"Meanwhile, I hope Jay can pull through," Kitty said.
"Me too," Emma said. "I'm starting to think peer pressure is on the list of types of adversity they had to overcome."
"Me too," Brody said.
While the daters go at it again, the goths arrive, but because they broke the rules with the coffin, a 10 minute penalty was ordered. Crimson: Totally worth it.
"I bet it was," Sanders said.
This led more teams to forge ahead with the Dwayne Duo coming in 6th place.
7th place: Cadets.
8th place: Surfer dudes.
9th place: Rockers.
Don: And best friends are tenth. With only three teams out there, the goths look nervous.
It sure doesn't look like it.
"Not all emotions have to be shown to be proven true," Ennui said.
"One can see why," Emma said.
Back at the gym center, Jay is able to complete the challenge. At the same time, Tom tries again, but gets electrocuted.
"Oh my god!" Kitty said.
"Wow," Tom said. "Now I know how you felt, Brody."
"That had to hurt," Brody said.
Jen came over to him.
Tom: I'm so sorry. I'm so bad at gymnastics. You know my strengths are coordinating clothing. If you were doing this, we'd already be done. You're so good at this stuff.
Jen: Tom, you're great at everything you put your mind to. It's annoying, but great.
"So you two made up?" Noah asked.
"Heck yeah!" Tom answered.
Jen even wore the fez as support.
"That's so nice of you," Miles said.
"Thanks," Jen said.
Both the bloggers and daters got up and tried again. Meanwhile, the twins arrive in 11th place. They then run off after hearing a werewolf.
"Probably best not to let those two return to Transylvania for a while," Jen said.
"Yeah," Ennui said. "We may love a good scare, but I'm guessing they don't."
Crimson: Well, if we get booted, this will still be the best night ever.
Ennui: Being in that coffin? I've never felt so alive.
"Were you two smiling?" Tom asked.
"Yeah, we were," Ennui said.
The bloggers and daters finally finish and head to the chill zone.
"Yes!" Stephanie said.
"Maybe both teams can survive," Jen said.
Unfortunately, that's no longer the case. With the penalty over, the goths get 12th place and live to see another leg of the race.
"Beyond worth it," Crimson said.
The daters then arrive ahead of the bloggers to take 13th place.
"Sweet!" Ryan said. "Sorry if I let you down, babe."
"You should be," Stephanie said. "I'm just glad we didn't get eliminated."
Despite it being the end of the race for the bloggers, Don says that it may be the beginning for a new trend with fezzes.
Tom: I wouldn't call this a failure in any way. We kicked butt.
Jen: We nearly died so many times from that skywalk to the geyser field, up on that vine, but we totally did it.
Tom: Yay us.
Jen: Doing this race is a huge test to how strong your friendship is, and I think we did great.
Tom: Greater than great.
As the bloggers walk off, several bats follow them. The episode then signs off.
"So glad you two made up," Stephanie said.
"Thanks," Tom said.
"Sorry again about causing the fight," Carrie said.
"You didn't know it would cause some drama," Jen said.
"So glad the drama was lowered this time," Noah said.
"Totally worth it," Owen said. "I still question what Gwen would say about that castle."
"It's better than Boney Island," Geoff commented. "That's for sure."
Everyone else agreed.
"Well," Erin said. "Should we continue, or go out to the park for a while?"
"I could use a break, right now," Stephanie said.
"Same here," Owen said.
"I agree," Kitty said.
They all decided to head to the park for some fresh air. The break episode is next. Happy Halloween everyone.
