Same old Don, A New Race part 2:
Disclaimer: I don't own Total Drama.
Last time in the Ridonculous Race we met our 18 teams that will compete in this race, with many new faces but also a few old faces.
Don was sitting in an airplane. "Welcome back, to the second part of first episode of the second season Ridonculous Race. In this episode, the teams and you will find out where we are going," Don said.
The first bus is about to leave for the airport, these 6 teams that are on the bus had found a golden ball and with it the luck to get on the first plane soon. On the bus were, the Bandmates, Cheerleaders, Fraternal Twins, Ridonculous Race veterans, Supermodels and the Cowgirls. Bus 1 left, bus 2 and 3 stayed.
"Hello teams, you are now on your way to the airport, I will now tell you where you will be going, the destination is South Africa!" Don said.
South Africa, a large country located in the southern hemisphere, South Africa is also known for its nature and safaris and special animal life. When it is summer in Canada, it is winter in South Africa.
Bus 1 arrived at the airport, the 6 teams rushed into the airport to the counter.
"South Africa please," Carrie said.
"Tickets to South Africa," Trent said.
"2 tickets to South Africa," please, Laura said.
***** Confessional: Ridonculous Race Veterans *****
"It's nice to have a good head start already," Kitty said.
"Indeed, we don't know what the challenges will be in South Africa," Carrie said.
"It could be Either/Or, or All-Inn or maybe a Batch or Watch," Kitty said.
"The important thing is to keep our lead and stay focused," Carrie said.
The first 6 teams all had their tickets for the plane trip to South Africa so they are already on their way. Bus number 2 is now leaving for the airport, in the bus are these 6 teams, the Geeks, Cousins, Teachers, Stepson and Stepfather, Boy Scouts and Babysitters. After the bus trip, the 6 teams rushed into airport and all also got a ticket to South Africa.
***** Confessional: Boy Scouts *****
"The wildlife in South Africa is amazing and that we now get to experience it from up close," Freddie said.
"And we have a lot of knowledge about wildlife, our Wildlife badge is proof of that," Eldon said.
And while the teams from bus 2 got on the plane, the teams from bus 1 were already on their way to South Africa, bus 3 left for the airport. On this bus are, the Hockey Players, Artists, Pizza Delivery Guys, Theater Kids, Newlyweds and Cop and Criminal just as with the other two buses, the teams had been told where they were going.
"Dude we're going to South Africa," Gus said.
"Cool," Deuce said. "Why do you think it's South Africa?"
"I think because Africa is so big, it has to split up, so you have South Africa, so you wouldn't get into the where," Gus said.
"Oh that's why," Deuce said.
Kayla popped up from the sit that was behind of the seats of the Pizza delivery Guys. "That's not true at all! It's called South Africa because it's in the Southern Hemisphere, you dumb pizza doobs," Kayla said.
***** Confessional: Artists *****
"I'm very interested in South African art, that's why I love South Africa," Kayla said.
"And know much about it, so that gives us an advantage," Robin said.
And as the teams on bus number 3 reached the airport, flight number 1 landed in South Africa. The 6 teams ran out of the airport and reached the Don-Box.
"It's an All-Inn," Blake said.
"In case you forgot, an All-Inn is a challenge where both team members must compete," Don explained.
"The challenge is Reed It Right," Bree read of the Travel Tip.
Both team members have to harvest many reeds as possible in this challenge, they have to weigh the reeds and if they get a green symbol, they have enough reeds. Then they put the reeds in the cart and go to this village, there they are told what to do with the reeds.
The bandmates, Cheerleaders, Gemini, Ridonculous Race Veterans, Supermodels and Cowgirls headed to the field and started to harvesting the reed.
Flight No. 3 was still on its way to South Africa, but Flight No. 2 just landed. The 6 teams pick up their tip and begin the challenge as well.
"Do you think we have enough reeds now?" Emily asked.
"Let's weigh it," Valeria said.
The Cheerleaders took their reeds to the scale, but unfortunately they got a yellow light, so they didn't have enough reeds and had to continuing harvesting
The 12 teams were all still harvesting the reeds, and flight number 3 with the last 6 teams had landed. The 6 teams ran out of the airfield, grabbed their tip and got to work on the challenge as well. And now all 18 teams were in South Africa and were all working on the first part of the challenge.
The cowgirls took their change with weighing their reeds and they got a green light and thus had enough reeds.
***** Confessional: Cowgirls *****
"This challenge of a breeze for us," Laura said.
"We are cowgirls, we have worked on a farm many times before, so something like harvesting reeds is child's play," Bree said.
The Cowgirls walked with their reeds toward the cart, to which a travel tip was attached, with the location where the next part of the challenge was going to take place.
The cowgirls left and headed to the location for the second part of the challenge. More teams weighed their reeds and got the green light and left for the next location. The teams that remained were the Supermodels, Stepson and Stepfather, babysitters, Theater Kids, Newley Weds and Pizza Delivery Guys,
***** Confessional: Stepson and Stepfather *****
"We are so going to be in last place," Tony said.
"Well there are other teams are also still here and who knows, maybe we'll get lucky in the next challenge," Mitch said.
***** Confessional: Supermodels *****
"Man this is bad, we were in the top 6 and now we are in the danger zone," Steve said.
"This work is not for us, we are models, no..., what kind of people do this for a living," Moon said.
The 6 teams left in the reed field continued to harvest reeds. The 12 other teams were all still on their way to the village
"I'm tired," Leshaniqua said.
"You have to hold on, Leshaniqua, we must be almost there," Leshawna said.
"I so hope the task won't be too difficult," Leshaniqua said.
The Cowgirls were the first team to arrive at the indicated location, it was small village. Laura pressed the button on the Don-Box a took out the tip.
"Weave It To Me, it's a Batch or Watch," Laura read of the Tip
"Just a refresher on what a Batch or Watch is, which is that one team member does the challenge while the other watches," Don said.
In this Batch or Watch, one team member has to go weave a basket, with the reeds that you have collected as a team. When you finish making the basket, you go to this old village lady here, if she approves the basket, she will give you the new travel tip, the will lead you to the Chill-Zone, the last team to arrive here, has a chance of going home first.
"You go weave, Bree," Laura said.
"Do you trust me on that?" Bree asked.
"Sure, you wove all those cowboy hats out of straw for the annual farmer's market," Laura said.
"Mama always said I could weave straw before I could write," Bree said.
"Exactly, and this isn't very different from straw," Laura said.
Bree began weaving the basket. The Boy Scouts, Bandmates, Fraternal Twins, Cheerleaders, Geeks, Artists, Cousins and the Ridonculous Race Veterans arrived in the village and all grabbed the Travel Tip from the Don-Box
"Cody can I go weave the basket?" Harold asked.
"Can you do that Harold?" Cody asked.
"Sure, I used to weave baskets with my grandmother a lot," Harold said.
"Freddie, I'll leave this task to you," Eldon said.
"You trust me with something so important?" Freddie asked.
"We are Beaver Scouts, we have to trust each other and you were the first in our group to earn his Arts and Crafts badge, you can do this," Eldon said.
"I won't let you and the Great Beaver down," Freddie said.
The 8 teams began braiding the basket. Trent, Emily Selene, Kayla, Leshaniqua and Carrie were the ones working on the challenge. The teachers, Hockey Players and Cop and Criminal arrived in the village and began the weaving challenge.
The last 6 teams had all finished harvesting the reeds and were now on their way to the village.
***** Confessional: Babysitters *****
"I really don't want to be the team that goes home first," Jenna said.
"I don't either, I want to win that million and see a lot more of the world," Olivia said.
"Whatever the next challenge is, we're gonna owe it," Jenna said.
"Yeah," Olivia said.
***** Confessional: Theater Kids *****
"Okay, we're in the danger zone, but no reason to start the drama yet," Ivy said.
"Yeah, we can always do well in the other challenge," Simon said.
"And it can never be as bad as the one time hardly anyone came to our play of Veggies Are Your Friend," Ivy said.
"My own mother didn't even come to that performance and I had reserved the best seat for her," Simon said.
"He still not over it or has forgiven his mother for it," Ivy said.
"And probably never will," Simon said.
"It was six years ago and you still live with her in one house," Ivy said.
In the village the other 12 teams were busy weaving their baskets, Harold of the Geeks had finished and walked up to the village woman and showed her his basket, she shook her head and put her thumb down.
"What, you don't like it?" Harold asked.
"Harold just try it again, focus on the basket and let's not try to come in last," Cody said.
"As if that woman knows anything about a quality weaved basket," Harold said.
"According to the villagers, she made all the baskets in the village, so I guess she has a super good eye for this," Cody said.
***** Confessional: Geeks *****
"I have a super good eye for this too," Harold said.
"I'm sure you have," Cody said.
"I wove a very large coffin for my grandmother's funeral," Harold said.
"Okay, that's big," Cody said. "Wait what?"
Harold and Cody walked back to their seats and Harold began braiding a basket anew. Many teams had already almost finished braiding their baskets. Kayla from the Artists had finished her basket and walked over to the village lady and showed. The old lady looked at the basket and put her thumb up and gave Kayla the Travel Tip. Kayla read the Tip and left the village with Robin, this gave the Artists the lead. The last six teams arrived in the village and began the challenge. Roy watched Douglas weave the basket.
***** Confessional: Cop & Criminal *****
"I must say I'm amazed Douglas at your basket weaving skills," Roy admitted.
"I owe it all to my former cellmate Greg, he taught basket weaving in prison," Douglas said.
"That's good of him," Roy said.
"In return, he got a reduced sentence and was released early," Douglas said.
"Oh," Roy said.
Douglas started to wave at the camera. "Hey Greg, if you're watching, thanks for the lessons," Douglas said.
But not only Douglas was doing well, Emily from the Cheerleaders was doing well with basket weaving.
*****Individual Interview: Emily*****
"Years of braiding hair at slumber parties, so I developed the skill," Emily said.
The Cowgirls, Cousins, Fraternal Twins, Bandmates, Hockey Players, Cheerleaders, Ridonculous Race Veterans and Cop and Criminal all finished weaving their basket and showed the basket to the village lady, she approved them all and gave them a Travel Tip and all left the village.
"We have to run fast, maybe we can still catch up with the Artists," Sebastian said.
"I hope so, I've ruined my clothes for this," Selene said.
"Come on Roy you are a police officer, surely you can run faster than this," Douglas said.
"I'm tired of all that reed harvesting," Roy said.
"Hey I do hard work in prison too and even after all that hard work I still go to the gym," Douglas said.
"That's because you have nothing else to do," Roy said.
"Just run faster," Douglas said.
In the village, 6 more teams finished making the basket and got the okay from the village woman. Only the Supermodels, Theater Kids and Pizza Delivery Guys were left and busy with the task.
"Dude basket weaving is very relaxing," Deuce said.
"Is it?" Gus asked.
"You, really should try it sometime," Deuce said.
"Dude, I don't want to ruin your good mood, but we are very close to the danger zone now and if we lose we might go home," Gus said.
"But then we'll never find out what Dice Pizza tastes like in other countries," Deuce said.
"That would be such a shame if we didn't get to experience that," Gus said.
"Okay, now it's time for the drama to start, we have a chance to go home," Simon said.
"I'll do my best, but, these hands are not made for weaving," Ivy said.
"I thought you could do this, you're always helping me make the costumes," Simon said.
"That's with needle and thread, not reed," Ivy said.
The last three teams began to worry about finishing last and therefore having a chance to go home first, one team didn't have to worry about that and that was the Artists team, because they arrived at the Chill-Zone first.
"Robin and Kayla congratulations you are the first team here and so you are the winner of this episode, Don said.
"Whoo-hoo," Kayla cheered.
"Yes," Robin cheered.
***** Confessional: Artists *****
"This is really super," Robin said.
"Yeah, we were in the bottom six and now we're the winner," Kayla said.
"It's mostly thanks to you Kayla, thanks to your knowledge South Africa we won," Robin said.
"Thank you, Robin, that's sweet of you to say that," Kayla said.
"We've our 1st place team," Don said. "But 1 team will lose and maybe go home and which team is that going to be?"
Many teams had already arrived at the Chill-Zone and one by one stepped onto The Carpet of Completion
"Sebastian and Selene congratulations, you came in second," Don said.
***** Confessional: Fraternal Twins *****
"We would have preferred to come in first," Selene said.
"But it's a good thing we didn't finish in the double digits," Sebastian said.
"Next time, we'll be the one who will step on the carpet first," Selene said.
"Cheerleaders congratulations, you came in third," Don said.
4th Cop and Criminal, 5th Ridonculous Race Veterans, 6th Cousins, 7th Bandmates, 8th Hockey Players, 9th Geeks, 10th Cowgirls, 11th Stepson and Stepfather, 12th Boy Scouts, 13th Teachers, 14th Babysitters, 15th Newlyweds.
***** Confessional: Hockey Players *****
"8th place not bad, it's thanks to Finn and his talent for basket weaving," Tyler said. "Why didn't you tell me anything?"
Finn said nothing and simply shrugged.
***** Confessional: Cowgirls *****
"We finished 10th," Laura said.
"The Geeks managed to caught up with us in the last minute," Bree said.
"But at least we're still in the race and that's all that matters," Laura said.
***** Confessional: Teachers *****
"Am I glad we finished 13th? No," Vera said. "Am I glad we're still in the race? Yes."
"The race is not over. We're still in it. Our football team didn't do very well in the beginning either, but we won in the end," Bob said.
"Exactly Coach Bob, anything can happen," Vera said.
***** Confessional: Newlyweds *****
"This is not exactly how I pictured our honeymoon, and by that I mean cane harvesting," Ronald said.
"Ronnie, I know, but think about what we can win and with that money we can go on a real honeymoon," Gina said.
"Keep our eye on the money and soon we'll be relaxing by beautiful beach," Ronald said.
"Watching the sunset together," Gina said.
"I love you Gina," Ronald said.
"I love you Ronald," Gina said.
"The race for not being last is still going on and it's between Pizza Delivery Guys, Theater Kids and Supermodels. I just heard they left the villages and are all on their way here," Don said.
All 3 teams came running towards the Chill-Zone, the supermodels stepped on the carpet before the other two teams.
"Supermodels congratulations you are still in the race," Don said.
"Nice," Steve said.
"Pizza Delivery Guys," you finished 17th and that means you're still in the race," Don said.
"Oh yeah," Deuce said.
"Whoa," Gus said.
***** Confessional: Pizza Delivery Guys *****
"I'm so super-duper glad we're still in the race," Gus said.
"That gives us a chance to find out what Dice Pizza will taste like in other countries," Deuce said.
"Ivy and Simon you arrived last, Sorry you're out of the race," Don said.
"Ah, that's a major bummer," Simon said.
"Being the first ones out," Ivy said.
***** Farewell Interview: Theater Kids *****
"It's too bad we're already out of the race," Ivy said.
"I agree, I wanted to see more," Simon said.
"But I'm glad we can make at least go and see one country," Ivy said.
"But this did give me an idea for my own original play," Simon said.
Ivy and Simon left the Chill-Zone and walked back towards the airport to return home.
"1 team is gone, so there are 17 left and which of these 17 team will be the next to go home. Find out in the next Ridonculous Race!" Don said.
Winner: Artists
Eliminated: Theater Kids.
