I got a request for Stella to have a miscarriage

Stella and Kelly were finally at the family planning stage of their relationship. Their current plan was to have two kids. They were trying but were so far unsuccessful. They had only started trying a little over a month ago so they weren't too discouraged.

Stella was on her period but it was lighter than usual. She thought it was just her body acclimating to being off birth control and thought nothing of it.

They were currently at the scene of a fire and it was a big one. It was a bad factory fire. Stella was searching for victims when suddenly debris fell and hit her in the stomach hard. She collapsed to the ground and screamed in pain. Her stomach felt like it was on fire and she could feel something wet on her legs. She knew something was terribly wrong. As she was about to call for help Mouch ran up to her.

"Stella are you ok what happened?" Mouch asked.

"No, I got hit with something. My stomach hurts so bad" Stella replied

"Ok I've got you I'm going to get you out of here," Mouch said as he reached for his radio. "Stella is down. I'm bringing her out now ' Mouch said into his radio.

He lifted her up causing her to cry out in pain.

"Sorry sorry" Mouch soothed

Kelly was outside grabbing tools from the truck when he heard the call. He ran towards the doors and met Mouch at the doors.

"What happened?" Kelly asked

"Falling debris hit her in the stomach. She's in a lot of pain" Mouch informed him.

Sylvie and Violet ran up to them with a stretcher and Mouch set her down on it Kelly grabbed Stella's hand.

"You're going to be ok baby it's ok" Kelly reassured her.

Stella was crying from fear and pain and Kelly wiped her tears.

"My stomach is on fire" Stella choked out.

"Sssh, you're going to be ok. Squeeze my hand" Kelly soothed.

"Whats your pain level?" Sylvie asked.

"10. It hurts so bad and I feel something wet on my legs" Stella replied.

"Ok honey you're going to be ok we're gonna get you to med" Sylvie told her.

They got her in the ambo and closed the doors.

"I'm going to lower your pants," Sylvie told her. She waited for her to nod and lowered her pants. She was alarmed when she saw blood on her legs

"Stella, are you pregnant?" Sylvie asked.

"I don't know I don't think so" Stella replied, panicked.

"Ok your going to be ok" Sylvie reassured her.

They got to med a few minutes later and Kelly was still holding her hand. Dr. Asher came in a few minutes later and confirmed she was having a miscarriage.

"I'm so sorry Stella you're having a miscarriage. Your are only 3 weeks along there's no way you couldve known. I'm so sorry Dr. Asher informed them.

Stella began to cry and Kelly pulled her into a hug trying not to cry himself.

"Ssh I'm so sorry. It's going to be ok were going to be ok" Kellyb soothed.

DR.Asher gave them some privacy as they held each other and cried in each other's arms.

Dr. Asher came in a few minutes later. "I'm going to keep you here for a few hours just to make sure everything passes ok. After that you can go home" Dr.Asher told them.

Stella cried on and off for the next few hours until they were able to go home. They got home and Kelly grabbed a heating pad and gave it to Stella and turned on the TV. Stella was quiet for the rest of the day. Dinner time came and she barely ate. Boden gave them both a week off to recover. They spent that week close to each other.

It had now been 6 months since Stella's miscarriage and they still weren't having any success and were getting extremely frustrated. A month later Stella was getting randomly nauseous and missed her period. She decided to take a test as Kelly was making breakfast. She took it and immediately started crying tears of joy when it was positive. She ran out and showed Kelly.

"Oh my god your pregnant?!" Kelly said excitedly as he saw the test.

"Yes finally!" Stella exclaimed.

They hugged and kissed each other. The moment they had been waiting for for nearly 8 months was finally here. They finished breakfast and got ready for work. They were planning to tell Boden first and then the rest of 51 at their morning meeting. They got to work and went up to Boden.

"Hey, can we talk to you real quick?" Stella asked,

"Yeah of course let's go to my office," Boden said.

They went into his office and Boden shut the door.

"Is everything ok?" Boden asked.

"Yes, it is actually good news. Im pregnant" Stella told him.

"Oh my god congratulations both of you," Boden told them as he hugged them both.

"What's your plan?" Boden asked.

"I was hoping to help Kylie around the house until I go on maternity leave if that's okay with you" Stella replied.

"Ok sounds like a plan. I'll get the paperwork started" Boden replied.

They left and went into the locker room to finish getting ready. Once it was time for the meeting, they sat down in the front. Boden made his usual announcements and then nodded at them when he was done. They went up front and Boden sat down.

"We have news... I'm pregnant," Stella told everyone. '

They all ran up to them and hugged and congratulated them.

A few days later Stella woke up and ran to the bathroom and threw up. Kelly was close behind her.

"Ssh you ok it's ok get it all out" Kelly soothed as he rubbed her back and held her hair.

Once she was done he pulled her back so she was leaning against him. He wiped her face.

"You ok honey?" Kelly asked.

"No" Stella replied

"I'm so sorry babe," Kelly said as he kissed her head.

Stella was now one month into her pregnancy. She was having really bad morning sickness and heartburn burn and she hated it. The heartburn got so bad at times that it made her throw up. She was still going to work with Kelly and would hang out with everyone like normal when they were at the house. She was also helping Kylie with work and helping her with studying for the academy. Stella and Kylie were getting a lot closer. When the rest of the house was out on a call they would sit in the common room and talk or get work done while talking. They even invited her over to dinner at their place a few times. She was on Zofran but it didn't always work. One morning when they walked into work Blake was making eggs and the smell made Stela dropped her bag and ran into the bathroom. Kelly followed after her.

"Ssh let it all out I'm so sorry honey" Kelly soothed while rubbing her back and holding her hair

Sylvie walked in a minute later and gave her some water. Stella rinsed her mouth then took a few sips.

"You ok honey?" Sylvie asked.

"Yeah just morning sickness" Stella replied.

Kelly and Sylvie hugged her. She was still nauseous so Kelly got her in his office and had her lay down in bed. He laid with her until breakfast was ready, and then quickly ate and brought back some bread and crackers for her.

As she got further into her pregnancy she started to have a lot of fatigue. It started in the first month but wasn't bad until month 4. She also was struggling with insomnia which just made everything worse. She was tired but couldn't fall asleep or get comfortable she often woke up still tired and hated it. She didn't have a lot of energy but she didn't want to be alone in the apartment all day so she still went to work with Kelly but mainly stayed in the common room. 4.5 months into her pregnancy, her back pain started. At first, it wasn't bad and she didn't really notice it. A couple of weeks later, it got bad. Kelly would carefully massage her back and she would take baths that were a safe temperature for the baby and that helped. Even though they found things that helped there were still some days where the pain was so bad to the point where she could barely move. By month 6 her feet started to hurt and swell. She was miserable. She couldn't wait to have the baby and for the pregnancy to be over. She was constantly in pain and wasn't sleeping much. A little over 9 months into her pregnancy she was sitting on the couch talking to Kylie while the rest of the house was on a call. Shwe had been having braxton hicks all week so when she started cramping again she thought nothing of it. Everyone came back from the call they were at and hung out until they got called out again. Stella was sitting on the couch and Kylie was finishing up filing some paperwork. 15 minutes after the team left for the call her water broke. Stella felt something wet on her legs and really bad cramping. She looked down and saw her water broke.

'KYLIE" Stella called out.

Kylie came running in a minute later. "What happened? What's wrong?" she asked, panicked.

"My water broke" Stella replied.

"OK. everything is going to be ok. Let's get you lying down" Kylie said as she helped Stella to lay down on the couch,

Kylie ran and called dispatch and went back to Stella.

"Ok, they're sending over someone to take you to the hospital. Kelly is gonna try to meet you at the hospital but they are at a 3-alarm fire right now" Kylie told her. She could tell Stella was in a lot of pain so she grabbed her hand.

An ambulance got there a couple of minutes later and took Stella to the hospital. Kylie rode in the ambulance with her so she wouldn't be alone. Thankfully Kelly was able to get to the hospital quickly. He got there as Stella was getting put into a room. Kylie went into the waiting room to wait for the rest of 51 to get there.

"How are you feeling babe?" Kelly asked.

"It hurts" Stella replied.

"I know baby I know it does I'm so sorry. Squeeze my hand as hard as you need to" Kelly told her.

Stella's death gripped her hand and shut her eyes and tried to breathe through the pain. Kelly kissed her head. They talked for a few minutes until the doctor walked in.

"Hey Stella I'm just going to take a look and see how dilated you are," Dr.Asher said.

She checked her and saw that she was 3 centimeters dilated.

"Ok Stella your 3 centimeters dilated," DrAsher told her. "Do you want an epidural?" she asked.

"No not yet" Stella replied.

Dr.Asher left the room and Stella shut her eyes again. She wasn't up for talking so Kelly turned on the TV. Whenever a contraction hit she would squeeze Kelly's hand as hard as she could and try to breathe through the pain. Kelly would talk her through it and wipe the tears from her two hours later, Stella was only 4 centimeters dilated. She was in a lot of pain. She was trying to sleep but couldn't because of the pain.

4 hours later Stella was 5 centimeters dilated and was in excruciating pain. Dr.Asher came in to check on her.

"How are you doing?" Dr.Asher asked her.

"It hurts ao bad. I want the epidural" Stella replied, through tears.

"Ok, sweetie I'll put the order in." Drsher said as she put the order in on her iPad.

15 minutes later Dr.Jones came in to do the epidural.

"Hi, Stella I'm Dr.Jomes ill be doing your epidural today," He told her while shaking her hand.

"Nice to meet you" Atella replied.

"It's nice to meet you too. I'm going to do your epidural now. It's going to hurt but I need you to stay still" Dr. Jones told her.

Stella sat up and grabbed both of Kelly's hands and squeezed them tightly.

"Ok, here we go 1,2,3," DRJones said.

He started the epidural and Stella tightened the grip she had on his hands squeezed his hands and whimpered in pain.

"Ssh you're doing so good just squeeze my hand" Kelly soothed.

"OK, good job I'm done. You should feel relief soon" DrJones told her.

1o minutes later the epidural kicked in and she fell asleep. She was able to sleep for a little under 4 hours before waking up from discomfort. Kelly woke up when he felt her move.

"How are you feeling babe?" Kelly asked as he sat up and kissed her head.

"I'm so uncomfortable" Stella replied.

"I'm so sorry baby" Kelly replied as he kissed her head.

The epidural made it so she didn't feel much pain but there was a lot of pressure. DrAsher came in a few minutes later.

"How are you feeling honey?" Dr.Asher asked.

"I'm so uncomfortable" Stella replied.

"I'm so sorry honey. Your only 6 centimeters dilated" DrAsher told her.

"Uggh" Stela groaned.

"I know I'm sorry. This is completely normal don't worry" Dr. Asher told her.

Kelly grabbed his laptop and turned on a movie. They watched it together and Stella's contractions were getting closer together the whole time. A few minutes after the movie embed Dr.Asher came in. She informed her that she was now at 7.5 centimeters. Stella fell asleep again for 2 hours. When she woke up she was in pain and ready for this to be over. It had already been 14 hours. Stella and Kelly talked for a bit while he ate a sandwich and she ate some jello. She was in pain and tired and didn't have much of an appetite. It took another 7 hours but she was finally ready to push. Dr.Ashert quickly came in and got everything ready.

"OK honey, it's time. I need you to push when I tell you to" Dr.Asher told her and she nodded and gripped Kelly's hand.

"Ok, Stella I need you to push 1,2,3," Drasher told her. Stella pushed and screamed in pain.

"Ssh you're doing so good just squeeze my hand" Kelly soothed.

Good job honey i need you to push again. 1,2,3" Dr.Asher instructed. She pushed again and screamed in pain and Kelly comforted her.

"Your doing so good your halfway done. I just need you to push two more times for me. I'm gonna need you to push again. 1,2,3" DR.Asher said. Stella pushed for the third time and screamed in pain. Just like before Kelly comforted her the whole time.

"Your almost done Stella. I just need you to push one more time. I need you to push 1,2,3" Dr.Asher told her. She pushed again and screamed in pain.

"Congratulations you have a beautiful baby girl" Drasher said as she put the baby on a scale. "She is 6 pounds 9 ounces. Congratulations." Dr.Asher told them as she put the baby on Stella's chest. Kelly cut the cord and they both kissed their baby.

"What's her name?" Drasher asked.

"Grace Isla Severide" Stella and Kelly both replied.

"That's a beautiful name" Drasher replied.

A few minutes later Grace got taken up for tests and Kelly and Maggie helped Stella change into fresh clothes, all the tests came back normal and gave were perfectly healthy. Later that night 51 came by and met Grace and they all fell in love with her. Stella was able to go home two days later and couldn't wait ti be in her own home with her new baby.
