Some context before we begin; All of our students will be taken about two days before the begining of the anime. Arisu will be taken about a day after the events of Vol 2. And I hope this went without saying, but I don't own Blue Archive or its characters and this fic is purely for entertainment purposes.
'Ah, this has been the best nap I've had in weeks.' Hoshino thought as her halo powered on and she awoke. With that, she stretched her arms with a yawn and opened her eyes to be greeted with... not her room.
This sends her into full alert mode as she scanned the area. It looked like she was in a theatre, none of her weapons in sight and... Her underclassmen and some other students all passes out around her.
"Never thought I'd be the one waking up my juniors." Hoshino mused as she snuck over to Serika and light shook her.
Her halo powered on as she sleepily replied, "Mmmmm five nore minutes please..."
"Hehe, Serika's so cute when she's trying to sleep." Hoshino said.
"Yeah... H-Hoshino!" Serika bolted up with her screech, waking everyone else around them. With that, the theatre was filled with voices of confusion, anger, and... nonchalance. Soon, it all died down and a student in Trinitys uniform stepped forward.
"Alright, now that we've all got that out of our system, lets figure out our situation." She said. "Normally when people wake up like this, their previous night must have been a fun one."
"H-Hey! What are you implying!" Another Trinity student, this one with the Justice Task Force uniform exclaimed.
"A shame that that is most likely not the case. For whatever reason, we are all here." She continued. "Before we try to figure this all out, lets introduce ourselves. I'm Urawa Hanako, A second year at Trinity." With that, she turned to her fellow Trinity Students.
Everyone looked to the JTF member who interupted Hanako earlier. "I'm Shimoe Koharu, a member of the elite Justice Task Force!"
"Ah, nice to meet you all! Um, I'm Ajitani Hifumi. A second year at Trinity." A girl with blonde twin tails exclaimed.
"Shirasu Azusa. Trinity First Year." The girl with waist length white hair and wings stiffly introduced. The Abydos girls stepped up next.
"Ah, this old timer is Takanashi Hoshino. A third year at Abydos." Hoshino intoduced herself.
"Like she said, she's not actually old. And I'm Kuromi Serika. First year and Treasurer of Abydos." a cat girl with long black twin tails explains.
"Sunaookami Shiroko. Second year of Abydos." The wolf girl in Abydos uniform says with little to no emotion.
"Hi everyone! I'm Izayoi Nonomi! Second year at Abydos high!" a girl with long blonde hair exclaimed.
"Yes, nice to meet everyone. I'm Okusora Ayane. First Year at Abydos high." And elf girl with short black hair fornally introduces. With that everyone turned to the group of Millennium students.
"Hi! I'm Sabai Momoi of Millennium! First year!" A girl with short blonde hair and dressed in pink dramatically introduced.
"I'm her sister, Sabai Midori." Her twin dressed in green said.
"Tendou Arisu! Light type DPS!" A girl with absurdly long black hair introduced in a way that raised a few eyebrows.
The next person, a girl with long, wavy red hair dressed in a trench coat shrank into herself at everyone stareing at her. "H-H-Hanaoka Y-Yuzu." She eventually got out. The last group seemed to be dressed in SRT gear.
"Tsukiyuki Miyako. First year of SRT and squad leader of the Rabbit platoon." A girl with long white hair introduced in a manner similar to that of Azusa's introduction.
"Sorai Saki. First yeat of SRT and point woman of Rabbit platoon." A girl with short violet hair, wearing a helmet introduced much like her classmate before her.
"KazeKura Moe. Best explosives expert in the buisness." The SRT girl with large glasses and a sucker in her mouth intoduces. Everyone was about to move on until another voice spoke up.
"Umm... I'm Kasumizawa Miyu. First year at SRT." A girl with long black hair with leaves in said hair introduced in a small voice.
"Yeah, now what the heck are we doing here?" Saki rudly questions anyone who would listen.
"Perhaps that message will explain to us." Arisu pointed to a letter sitting on a table at the back of the theatre. With that, Ayane retreived the letter and read it a loud as everyone crowded around her to see what it said.
"Greetings students of various schools. I'm going to get straight to the point and say there is a terrible future ahead. I'm experimenting to see whats best to avoid this and what you see here, is a theatre that will show you said future so you'll know what changes to make." Ayane read off. "It will begin when everyone is ready. This table will produce and snacks and drinks you may like, and most importanlty, no violence while you are here. it would be a pain to clean up."
"We're watching the future? Cool." Momoi comments.
"Surely you can't believe this horseshit." Saki exlcaimed. "This isn't some bad sci-fi show. I have better things to do than entertain this nonsense." With that, Saki made a beline for the door, but couldn't open it no matter what she did. She even resorted to ramming it like she would when breaching doors in SRTs training.
"Saki, enough. You're going to hurt your shoulder if you keep it up." Miyako advises.
"Like hell I'll just accept surrender." Saki bit back.
"If only we had some explosives. Breaching this fortified door would be easy." Azusa said.
"Oh, now I would love that." Moe smiled.
"Now now. Perhaps we can just see whats in store. It seems as if we're not going to be leaving anytime soon, so why not, right?" Hanako nonchalantly said as she took a seat.
"Movie night! We need popcorn!" Arisu exclaimed. Once she said that, the top of the table opened up and a bag of hot popcorn was lifted up in its place, to which Arisu eagerly took.
"Yeah, Uh, I want popcorn too!" Momoi cried out. The table closed and repeated the process.
Soon, once everyone had their food and was seated, the movie screen turned on, and it began.
A train horn rang out loudly as the scene opened in a train, outside the sun looked to be rising.
GSC President: Its my choice. And my fault... the entire situation happened because of me.
The audience try's and fails to ascertain the surroundings. It's a train, that much is clear, but what is not is where it is or where it is going.
Cut to a drone flying overhead of a destroyed Kivotos, clouds making the area seem dark as smoke rose fron multiple buildings.
Dread bubbles in the students stomachs at the sight of the ruined city. What could have done this?
GSC President: After witnessing the results of the path I chose,
Cut to a figure in a dark dress with long silver hair walking past the camera.
GSC President: I finally realized that you were right all along.
The figure cocked a pistol. The woman stopped in front of a hunched, blurry figure as the wind sent her skirt and hair to flow behind her. The camera the shows the woman more clearly as the camera revolves around her, stopping once she has aimed her pistol at the figure, the camera showing them reflected in her eye which seems to be hiding unshed tears.
"Someone you know, Shiroko? A family member perhaps." Hifumi asks the wolf girl, thinking this person might be related to her.
Shiroko stares at the woman with wide eyes before shaking herself out of her stupor. "N-No." she answers. "It's strange that she looks like me, but I don't know her."
Meanwhile Hoshino and Nonomi eye her, trying to discern their friend's emotions. An admittedly hard task.
She fires three times to which then a tablet is shown falling to the ground with three bullet holes in it.
GSC President: You explained it to me once.
The President's blood stained shoes are shown as she monologues. It then shows her torso which has blood running down her left side.
"Woah, what! She's hurt!" Serika exclaims.
"We need to find her as soon as we're out of here." Miyako declares to her squad.
"What could have done this..." Hifumi silently worries. The prospect of something bypassing a students halo to be a terrifying thought.
'Could this have been Madams work?' Thought Azusa, who eyed the GSC Presidents wounds with equal bits of fear as anybody else. 'Halo destroying bombs exist, with that could whoever made them also create halo nullifying bullets?'
GSC President: What it meant to be a responsible person. I couldn't understand your words back then, but I do now. It's not about what you've experienced but the choices you've made. And there are only choices you can make. An adults responsibilities and obligations...
The President is shown to be talking with someone, but they are covered in shadow.
"Adult?" Ayane questions as she scrutinizes the shadow, failing to see any details of this person.
"Woah, you don't hear that everyday." Momoi says. "Has there ever been a proper adult in Kivotos?
"Not for quite awhile." Hanako says. "This'll certainly be interesting."
'Unless he takes advantage of us.' Hoshino eyes the shadow with suspicion and distrust.
GSC President: I'll trust them... and you. Please lead the way down this twisted path to a different end.
Two switch tracks are shown as the President continues.
GSC President: Someone must make the choices that lead us to that future. So Sensei... please...
"Do you think these videos were sent by her?" Momoi asks.
"Huh, sis? What are you talking about?" Midori inquires.
"Think about it, all this talk of the future and here we are watching it!" Momoi exclaims. "What if being the GSC President gives you the ability to see into the future! And share that with others."
"Th-That seems a little far-fetched." Koharu calls out.
"Yeah, why would she show it to a bunch of nobodies like us." Serika says.
"Hey, we aren't all just nobodies!" Saki exclaims.
"What I mean is, why not just show this to the other GSC members, or some big shots like the Tea Party and Pandemonium Society or something..." Serika explains.
"No you do have a point, Serika." Ayane assures her.
A light blue bike is shown stopping in a bright area. Shiroko looks up to the Sanctum tower, reaching toward the sky.
"Looks like our Shiroko-chan will be really important!" Nonomi explains.
The camera follows her gaze before turning white.
'BLUE ARCHIVE'
Cut to a shot of a small figure on a bike which is held on by a small rod and balanced by a ball.
"What is this?" Miyako questions.
"Nn, this is home." Shirakawa simply says.
It then shows a phone on a soft surface while sounds its alarm, showing it is 7:00. The camera pans up to show Shiroko sleeping beside her phone. She grunts as she awakens, her halo turning on as she opens her eyes. She stops the alarm and sits up, moving her blanket away and stretching her arms. She then gets out of bed and heads towards the balcony door to let some fresh air in.
Shiroko: Good Morning.
It then shows a montage of Shiroko getting ready for school while Constant moderato anime ver plays. When she is finished, Shiroko looks on her phone for the news while drinking from a juice pack. She puts her phone away and grabs her gun, an SIG SG 556 hung on an umbrella rack. She puts on her one green tactical glove and then grabs her bike walking it outside.
"I wonder if they'll let us keep this song someway. It's pretty nice." Momo says with Midori nodding along.
The screen then shows a wide shot of Abydos. Then, it shows multiple animal people walking through town while a news broadcast plays out.
News Anchor: The General Student Council is in chaos after the Student Council Presidents disappearance. But the Sanctum Tower lights are finally back on, and it appears regular administrative work is underway again. It seems the chaos that overtook the city of Kivotos is finally settling down.
"Oh, it's such a relief someone found a way to get all the chaos under control." Hifumi says in relief.
"The GSC probably wised up and brought back SRT to resolve the situation. No need to thank us." Saki boasts.
"Don't worry, we won't." Serika assures the point woman.
Cut to show a girl with a white bag on her lap. It then shows this is Nonomi on a train, looking at her phone.
Cut to a convinece store where Serika walks through, placing a sandwich on the counter.
Serika: Just this please!
Cut to a cat in a dark location as it meows. It is joined by two other cats who meow at a girl with long pink hair. Hoshino crouches down at them.
Hoshino: Meow Meow Meow!
Cut to a bus driving down one of the derelict streets of Abydos. It is shown Ayane is reading something on the bus.
Bus PA: The next stop is Abydos High School.
Ayane looks up from her book.
Ayane: Oh! This is my stop!
She then rings the button next to her. Cut to Shiroko bike riding one of the roads overlooking much of the district.
"I mean... even if it's not ideal, it's still a nice view in a ways..." Hifumi optimistically points out.
"Mm, plenty of places to hide. It could make a fine defensive position." Azusa notes.
"Right... that too..." The Peroro mega fan awkwardly agrees.
Cut to show the Abydo's school as the bell rings, then to a sign that read 'Abydos Foreclosure Task Force.
Serika: Are you serious, Shiroko?
Cut to the group ibside the room. Shiroko looks to Serika and nods.
Serika: You rode from the Abydos industrial district and back on a bicycle?! That must have been hundreds of kilo-meters!
Shiroko: I didn't check how far it was. It was a pleasant ride, though. Not too long.
"Impressive." Azusa turns to Shiroko. "You have a very intensive training schedule. Perhaps I could learn a thing or two."
"Nn. Thank you." Shiroko thanks the Trinity student.
"That's almost as much as SRT puts us through for our training." Miyako comments.
"O-Of coarse that much is nothing for an elite Justice Task Force member like myself!" Koharu adds in.
Serika sighs and looks away at this.
Serika: Shiroko sure is something.
Ayane: How was your weekend, Serika?
Serika jumps at this and nervously looks back at Ayane.
Serika: I M-Mine?! I was just... I did some reading at the library!
Ayane: You were at the library this weekend, Serika?
Serika jumps at this.
Ayane: I was there as well!
"What's with all the startled jumps? These are common questions." Midori points out.
"Hey, no way would I scrambling like that in real life. This future seeing thing must have it wrong." Serika stubbornly refuses to admit.
"That or you are hiding something." Moe points out.
"Me?! What would I have to hide?" Serika questions.
"Explosives." Moe is the first to point out.
"A game with a really high rating." Momoi I pitches in.
"An embarrassing hobby." Miyu brings to the table.
"A super rare item!" Arisu declares.
"I can name a lot of things..." Hanako gives a seductive smile.
"None of the above! Lets just get back to this and stop wasting time!" Serika demands.
Serika: I-Is that so? I didn't see you! Anyways, what were you reading about, Ayane?
Ayane: I was researching a DOHC problem I ran into during repairs. Ah! Let me explain what DOHC is. The term is short for a type of engine called a Dual Overhead Camshaft. I thought it'd be useful information to have.
"Useful how?" Momoi questions.
"Oh, you never know..." Ayane simply replies.
"Never underestimate skill books, Momoi!" Arisu exclaims.
Serika sighs and turns to her senior.
Serika: What about you, Hoshino?
Hoshino's halo activated and she yawned as she woke from her sleep.
Hoshino: I did what any old-timer does over the weekend.
It shows Hoshino under the covers of her bed, though strangely, her halo was still active.
"How undisciplined." Saki scoffs.
"Be nice." Miyako reprimands her.
Serika: Somehow, I'm not surprised.
Nonomi: I'm glad everyone had a pleasant weekend.
Shiroko: What about you, Nonomi?
Nonomi: What did I do over the weekend? I went shopping!
It then shows Nonomi's golden card. She holds it up to some shop employees at a store.
Nonomi: I bought some new snacks,
She holds it up to different employees at a different store.
Nonomi: a few daily necessities,
She finally shows it to some rather muscular employees at a sports equipment shop.
Nonomi: as well as forty dumbbells or so!
Her teammates look to her, bewildered.
"Um... why would you do that?" Yuzu finally speaks.
"You never know." Nonomi cheerfully copies Ayane. "Could be really useful."
Ayane: Lets begin our daily meeting. To start, we'll review current events. Kivotos, the Academy City, is comprised of many different school districts.
It switches to a shot of the Sanctum tower.
Ayane: The General Student Council, led by the Student Council President, maintains balance between the districts.
The shot shows a news blimp.
Ayane: But just a few days ago, the student council president went missing.
It then shows a shot of the Tea Party, Mika and Nagisa sitting at a large table under guard.
For but the briefest of moments, Hanako adopts a look of annoyance before settling into a neutral expression. Luckily, no one caught it.
Ayane: It's most likely due to her disappearance that-
The shot switches to show the Prefect Team under a harsh reddish light.
Ayane: -so many districts are experiencing conflict.
A closeup shot of Nagisa's eyes gracefully opening is followed by Hina's eyes harshly looking towards the audience.
Nonomi: Speaking of the General Student Council... Um, what was it called again? That peace treaty between Trinity general school and Gehenna academy?
Shiroko: The Eden Treaty?
Nonomi: Yes, exactly! Has that been signed yet?
Azusa grows anxious at the name. 'Its only a matter of time until Saori acts. Will I be able to break free of what is wanted of me, or will it all be for nought? Perhaps this viewing can shed some light.' The former Arius student gets a little comfort from that.
Ayane shakes her head. The GSC presidents office is shown as Ayane explains.
Ayane: The Student Council President was the one facilitating the peace talks, so its unclear what will happen.
Nonomi: I see...
Serika: Oh, right! Ayane! The owner of Shiba Seki Ramen says that the Kata-Kata Helmet Gang is up to no good again.
The large sign for said business is show for a moment.
Shiroko: The ramen there is delicious.
Serika jumps slightly.
Serika: Do you go there a lot, Shiroko?!
Shiroko: Is that a problem?
Serika: N-No! It's nothing...
"So... somethings going down there that you don't want the others to know about." Moe states.
"Shut up! Of coarse not! Nothing is going on anywhere!" Serika enforces.
Nonomi: Anyway... its getting harder to maintain security in Abydos.
Hoshino cracks her eye open at this.
Nonomi: How troublesome...
'Oh. Is Hoshino putting up a facade of some kind?' While it is a far off idea, Hanako shelves it in her mind for later. 'She might not be as lazy as she is trying to portray herself as.'
Ayane: We've requested aid from the General in Student Council several times now, but...
Shiroko: With the student council president missing, they're likely too busy to deal with us.
Serika lets out a loud sigh.
Serika: Its not like we have all the time in the world either.
Cut to the face of the Kaiser loans collector.
Loan Collector: Thank you very much for using Kaiser Loans.
The Abydos students look disheartened as they stand outside their school. Shiroko has a piece of paper in her hand.
Loan Collector: At the current rate, your debt will be paid off in 309 years and 2 months! We will see you again next month!
"Debt?" Hifumi questions.
"309 years?!" Koharu explains.
"Wow. What'd you do to set yourselves back so far?" Momoi questions.
"Momoi!" Midori exclaims at her sisters lack of tact.
"The student body before us made some bad decisions." Ayane replies with embarrassment at her schools financial situation.
With that, the loan truck drives off.
Shiroko: ...309 years and 2 months?
"Must have been some REAL bad decisions." Miyu mutters to herself.
Ayane sighs.
Ayane: There's truly no end to it.
We see the Abydos school as the scene shifts to sunset. Everyone is outside, leaving for the day. Shiroko is on her bike.
Shiroko: Then, see you tomorrow.
The rest give their variations of farewell before Shiroko rides off. Cut to her apartment, her bike stored inside and her weapon stowed on an umbrella rack, and her uniform hung on the wall. Shiroko sits on her bed, looking through the task forces text messages. Someone is listing of things that are "white and cute". Shiroko sighs and flops onto her bed her head turns to figure of a creature on a bicycle held up by some small rods and balanced with a ball on the other end. She stares at it before the scene changes to Abydos train station. The train opens up letting out some of its animal like occupants. They are followed by this well dressed adult male who has his face obscured from view. He looks around the train station.
"Huh. Is that the adult?" Nonomi questions.
"Certainly looks like it." Miyako says.
"Yes! Its Sensei!" Arisu declares.
"I have a feeling this will be an interesting story." Hanako states.
Sensei: That took long enough.
As we see an overhead shot of Abydos city, it transitions from night to day when an explosion rings out, kicking up dust.
"What now?" Ayane says, annoyed with the prospect of dealing with more trouble in the future.
Someone casually tosses a grenade in their own hand.
Robot Thug: Hey, Hey!
We see the robot thug with his buddies standing behind him.
Robot Thug: I must have heard you wrong. Are you little girls trying to tell me that my hairstyle is old-fashinoned? Just bask in the coolness in my 'do!
"Nn. Don't worry Ayane. It doesn't involve us." Shiroko assures her.
His hair opens up revealing a gun barrel which starts firing indiscriminately.
"Thats so cool!" Momoi exclaims.
"No it isn't." Midori reins in her sister.
Robot Minions: You're the coolest boss! You're so charming boss!
Robot Thug: Exactly! Yes correct!
We then see three student delinquents standing opposed to the group.
Delinquent 1: Is it wrong for us to call something old-fashinoned, old-fashinoned? Huh?!
Robot Thug: H-How dare you saying that word?
Robot thug points his bat to the delinquents.
Robot Thug: Minions, punish them!
The robot minions aim their rifles at the delinquents and open fire. The three are hit in the head and thrown back slightly. The Robot Thug laughs at this.
Robot Thug: Are you still talking big?
The delinquents quickly recover.
Delinquent 2: Your stupid bullets...
Delinquent 3: ...could never...
Delinquent 1: ...even hurt us!
The Delinquents draw their weapons. They then open fire causing the thugs to panic as Shiroko casually rides by them. Shiroko continues through the district when suddenly a butt up in the air twitches.
"Well thats... unexpected..." Miyako comments at the sight.
"But not unwelcome." Hanako smiles.
"H-Hey! This thing better not get any further than this! Because this, is almost crossing the line into lewdness!" Koharu exclaims.
Shiroko's eyes widen as she passes by an unconscious Sensei. She stops nearby and approaches the dirtied Sensei and kneels down to him, taping his back.
Shiroko: He's still alive. Is he sunbathing? Heatstroke?
"Obviously the heatstroke." Hoshino tells her underclasmen.
"You should get him help right away, Shiroko." Ayane tells her.
Sensei's face turns to the side, finally showing it.
Sensei: Water...
Shiroko blinks.
Sensei: Please...
Shiroko: Here. Its an energy drink. Want some?
"Its a start." Ayane says.
"Strange. I thought the adult would be more prepared to travel in a district like this." Nonomi comments.
Shiroko presents him with her bottle. It lingers on this for a bit before switching to the Foreclosure Task Force room.
Sensei: Wow! I'm revived! Thank you so much.
"Panpakapan! Ally has been revived!" Arisu exclaims only to receive weird looks from all except the Game Development Department.
Nonomi points toward Sensei, terrified.
Nonomi: Did you abduct this man, Shiroko?!
"Oh... this is quite the embarrassing misunderstanding we have here..." Nonomi worriedly states.
"H-How do you even jump to the conclusion of kidnapping?" Koharu questions.
Ayane: In finally happened... Shiroko committed a crime!
"You say that as if it was only a matter of time." Saki narrows her eyes.
Serika: Chill out, everyone! Whats important is covering her tracks before people find out!
"Wow, you were ready to become an accomplice really quick." Hanako comments.
"No! I just didn't want to have Abydos under the thumb of the law because Shiroko did something stupid!" Serika exclaims.
"You're only proving my point!" Hanako says in a sing-song.
Sensei nervously scratches his cheek as this goes down.
Shiroko: It's not like that at all. He said he was trying to get to our school.
Ayane: What?
Nonomi: So he's a visitor?
Shiroko: Exactly.
The other 3 acknowledge as they study Sensei closely. The unkempt, sandy hair, dirtied clothes, and scuffed face.
"Not really a flattering first appearance." Hoshino comments.
"Not that we should blame him for it." Ayane says.
Sensei: I knew Abydos was a desert district, but it was so hot I got heatstroke while walking out in the sun, and the next thing I knew I was passed out.
Serika looks suspiciously to Ayane who quickly shakes her head. They both then look to Nonomi who points to herself causing the two to nod. She nods herself causing the three to look back at Sensei.
Nonomi: Well... if it's okay with you, can we ask what your name is?
Sensei: Oh! Of coarse.
Sensei stands and then pulls a lanyard with a Schale badge on it out from his shirt pocket.
Sensei: I'm Sensei, from Schale, a Federal Investigation Club. It's nice to meet you.
"Club?! The GSC commissioned him!" Ayane exclaims.
"Holy, wow... a GSC official has finally arrived to help..." Nonomi says, almost as if to convince herself.
"About time." Serika exclaims.
"Hmm... I wonder what this Schale is for..." Miyako mutters to herself.
"This is certainly an interesting development for the whole city..." Hanako says.
Hoshino meanwhile, eyes the adult like a hawk. Searching for any sign he may not have their best interests at heart.
The three previously suspicious students adopt a look of surprise.
Serika: Does that mean he's from the General Student Council?
Ayane: Right. Our requests for aid have finally been answered!
Shiroko looks amazed at Sensei.
Nonomi: That's great, Ayane!
The two hold hands in joy.
Ayane: Yes! Our persistence really paid off!
Serika glomps Ayane from behind, hands kept on her shoulders.
Serika: We'll finally be able to restock on supplies!
Sensei: Okay everyone, let's get to business.
It cuts to Ayane holding a tablet with a document opened on it titled "Certificate of Transfer"
Sensei: It's all for you.
Ayane gasps. "Our ammo problem will finally be resolved!"
"I take it with limited budget, getting ammo is difficult?" Hifumi asks.
"Thats one reason we don't have enough, yeah." Serika grudgingly admits.
Ayane: Thank you so, so much! We'll finally have more ammunition and supplies! Hoshino's going to want to hear this.
Serika: She's probably napping in her usual spot.
It shows Hoshino laying on a mattress on the roof of the school.
"Hmm... Good spot for a snipers nest." Azusa comments.
"Uh... why sleep out in the sun?" Miyu asks.
"Eh, I'm used to it. I have about 73 spots all around the school that I can sleep and some are in places that others would consider less than ideal." Hoshino admits. "But thats how far this oji-san is willing to go for some shut-eye.
Serika: I'll drag her back here!
With that, Serika leaves the room. Shiroko turns to Sensei.
Shiroko: By the way, Sensei.
Sensei: Hm?
Shiroko: We haven't introduced ourselves yet.
It shows Serika running up the stairs as Constant Moderator (anime ver) plays.
Shiroko: That was Kuromi Serika, a first-year student.
"Guess are introductions from earlier were pointless." Momoi says.
"Its not like the rest of us are here yet." Hanako reminds the Millennium student.
Nonomi: My name is Izayoi Nonomi! I'm in my second year!
Ayane: I'm Okusora Ayane, a first-year student.
Shiroko: Sunaookami Shiroko. Second-year. Well, I met you first, so you knew that.
Sensei just blinks as Shiroko explains.
Shiroko: Ah. Not that I think that makes me more important than anyone else.
"I'm sure he gets it, Shiroko. No need to add that." Moe quips.
Shiroko: There's one more member. The current President of the Foreclosure Task Force, Takanashi Hoshino.
As Shiroko speaks, Serika is shown leading no Hoshino by hand down the hall with an annoyed look.
Shiroko: The five of us make up the Abydos Foreclosure Task Force. Nice to meet you.
Sensei: Nice to meet you too.
Hoshino is heard, getting closer.
Hoshino: oh geez, Serika. Be more gentle with this old timer, please.
Serika: What nonsense are you spouting! You're the president, and you need to act more like one!
"Ah, just cause they aren't all bossy, doesn't make them any less a President." Midori says, mind on the nervous redhead beside her.
Serika finally drags Hoshino into the room, looking like she's holding onto the president by the collar of her shirt.
Hoshino: Oh... Takanashi Hoshino here. Pleasure to meet you.
Sensei: I'm Sensei, from Schale! The pleasures all mine.
Hoshino looks at the adult with suspicion.
"Hey, what's with that look?" Serika questions.
"Oh, don't know." Hoshino lies. "Must be still half asleep."
Shiroko: Hey, Sensei.
Sensei: Hmm?
Shiroko: I'll take you on a tour.
Cut to show Abydos sports field is littered with sandbags and lockers and other junk forming makeshift cover. It also shows solar panels on the roof.
Hifumi's heart goes out for the Abydos students, seeing this is all they have for their school.
"Your sports field reminds me of one of the training courses we had at SRT." Saki comments.
Sensei: The desertification in Abydos is worse than I thought.
Shiroko: Is it? It's been like this ever since I enrolled.
Shiroko looks forlornly at a recruitment poster for a cycling club.
Sensei: I haven't seen other students here. Is it just the five of you?
Shiroko: Yes. The truth is this school is in severe debt, and so everyone left. Except us. The Foreclosure Task Force has been taking on whatever jobs we can and repaying the debt bit by bit.
"You lot must certainly be quite strong in order to maintain everything that a district requires with so little manpower." Miyako compliments the FTF.
"Oh, it's nothing." Ayane blushes at the praise.
The two walk by an empty swimming pool.
Sensei: That must be difficult for you.
Shiroko: The gym needed to be cleaned a little while ago... But Ayane was sick so the four of us had to do it.
Sensei is shown teaching Shiroko as she narrates
Shiroko: It was pretty hard. There was more trash than I expected. We still finished in the end though. And then Ayane scolded all of us.
Sensei: She was mad?
"H-Hey! You don't get to make me look like the villain without finishing the story!" Ayane scolds Shiroko.
"What happened then?" Hanako asks.
"The gym was already in use by some common gang members around here who weren't doing anything wrong. When I told them to clean the gym, they assumed that meant to clear it of all the gang members." Ayane sighs. "Not only did we miss out on a payment, but we also billed for the damages they caused.
"Nn. Sorry." Shiroko apologizes, her ears laying flat on her head.
Shiroko then leads Sensei into a small room.
Sensei: What's this room used for?
Shiroko: It's not used for anything right now. But this is your room from now on, Sensei.
Sensei: Really? For me?
Shiroko: Mhm. The regular office is overrun with sand.
"Why not just clean it then?" Koharu asks.
"The sand is quick to come back and the annex building is pretty large. We can only clean a select few rooms." Nonomi explains.
Shiroko then takes the time to walk in front of Sensei to the center of the room.
Shiroko: Is this too small for you?
Sensei: It's more than enough. Thank you.
Shiroko: Okay.
Shiroko stares at the map of Abydos on a white board to her left.
Sensei: Shiroko, why do you want to protect this school?
Gunshots interrupt the two, causing Shiroko to swing in the direction of the windows.
"Uh oh. A random encounter." Arisu states.
"Why is she talking like that?" Midori whispers to her sister.
"I don't know. But with all that game speak, she is a prime candidate to join the Game Development Department." Momoi whispers back with a smirk.
Sensei: Gunshots?!
Helmet leader: A message to Abydos High School! Today's the day we're finally going to conquer your territory!
The others back in the club room also notice this.
Ayane: Huh? The Kata-Kata Helmet Gang?! Now if all times?!
"I take it this is a regular occurrence?" Miyako asks.
"Unfortunately." Hoshino confirms.
It then shows a box labeled "Please Use Sparingly!" In it, it holds a small amount of bullets, buckshot, and two magazines.
"Oh man, you guys are really running on fumes." Moe says, eyeing the sad amount of ammo.
Hoshino grabs a shell.
Hoshino: Oh geez. I really just wanted to have a nice, peaceful nap.
Serika: I'll drive them away like I always do!
Nonomi readies her minigun.
Nonomi: Everyone! Let's go protect our school!
Back on the office, Shiroko gets onto the window sill.
Shiroko: Stay here, Sensei.
Sensei: Shiroko!
Shiroko jumps down, running off as soon as she hits the ground. Sensei sighs in relief upon seeing she is safe.
"Shiroko." Ayane warns.
"Nn. It's an emergency." Shiroko defends.
"Even so, at least use the door when we have guests."
Arona: Watch out!
Sensei scampers say from the window, avoiding a few stray shots. From there, he takes out a tablet from his jacket.
Sensei: Thank you, Arona.
The tablet activates, showing Schales logo.
Arona: You're welcome, Sensei!
"Huh? Is that an A.I.?" Momoi questions.
"Being the Millennium students, I'd have thought you were the experts." Hanako says.
"Um... while A.I.s are possible, I don't think they are at the same level as this... Arona." Yuzu nervously explains. "But... I don't know. Unless we see more I can't say for sure."
Elsewhere, Shiroko runs through the gun fire, rolling over to Serika's position, who has her rifle ready for her.
Serika: Here, Shiroko.
Shiroko takes her SG 556.
Shiroko: Thanks. How tiresome.
She looks out at the gang firing upon their position. The FTF sits together in the same position.
Nonomi: We're rather low on ammo. What a pickle.
"I'm sure that mini-gun doesn't help matters." Moe points out.
"I always have a lot of extra bullets for it, so its not like it comes out of the others reserves." Nonomi explains.
Ayane: If only our new supplies were here...
Shiroko: I see no problem.
And with that, she dashes out of cover.
Hoshino: Shiroko! Wait!
"Hmph. Dashing out into battle without covering fire? Pretty stupid move." Saki points out.
"Isn't that what you do?" Miyu timidly points out.
"Shut up, I'm the point-woman." Saki answers. "Its my job."
The gang members all concetrate fire as Shiroko weaves around their makeshift battlefield, finding some suitable cover and returning fire.
"Um, if your low on ammunition, shouldn't you fire semi-auto instead of full-autoing them?" Hifumi questions.
"Nn. Its fine. It'll work out." Shiroko obstinately assures.
Gang leader Give it up already! We know you're low on ammunition!
The leader punctuates her statment with the furing of her own rifle.
Ayane: Huh?! How'd they lnow that?
Serika: Don't worry, Ayane. They're no match for us anyway.
With that, she dashes off followed by Hoshino then Nonomi.
Serika: Shiroko's creating cover for us!
Nonomi: Yes!
Even with the joining combatants, the helmet gang doesn't let up.
Nonomi: We'll never hand over Abydos High School to the likes of you!
With that, she lets her minigun loose. As Shiroko runs, Nonomi notices her coming from her right.
Nonomi: Shiroko?!
Before she knows it, Shiroko collides with Nonomi, sending them both to the ground.
"Don't you have ear pieces to prevent this from happening?" Saki questions.
"Yes, but Shiroko doesn't usually communicate mid battle." Serika explains.
"Rookie mistake." Saki simply states. And here she thought Shiroko was the most disciplined one here, barring herself and the rest of RABBIT Squad.
Hoshino: Shiroko! Nonomi:
A grenade bounces off Hoshino's shield and explodes.
Serika: Hoshino!
Ayane: Everyone retreat for now! We'll regroup!
Gang Member 1: They're running around like chickens with their heads cut off!
Gang Member 2: We were right! They're down to their last bullets!
The gang leader chuckles at this.
Gang Leader: It'll be a fight to the finish! Just how I like it! We'll take them all down in one go!
Meanwhile, Sensei watches this from the window.
Arona: Sensei, if this continues much longer, the Abydos students will...
"I don't like that thing downplaying our ability's. With enough time, we can beat them without Sensei's help." Serika declares.
"Though, help would be welcome." Nonomi says.
Sensei nods.
Sensei: Lets go!
He too dashes off.
Meanwhile, The FTF have reconvened back into their original cover where the gang has started trying to shell them.
Hoshino: Is everyone okay?
Shiroko nods.
Nonomi: We're fine. We can still fight.
Ayane: We can't let them pin us down like this! We need to spread out.
"Better act quickly. One lucky artillery strike and your team won't last long." Miyako advises.
Gang member 1: Hey, hey. Are you guys seriosuly still trying?
Gang member 2: You don't stand a single chance against us!
The Gang leader pulls the pin on a grenade.
Gang Leader: Take this!
She throws it, causing it to explode in front of their cover.
Nonomi: We can't handle much more of this!
Serika: Damn it! How did we get cornered by these losers?!
Hoshino looks worried, while Shiroko looks ready for the next round, knowing all looks bleak.
Sensei: Everyone!
They all turn to Sensei.
Gang Leader: Huh? Who's that?
Sensei stands by Abydo's entrance, hunched down and breathing heavily. He then stands straight up, a determined look in his face.
"Sensei is here! Now you will get his mascot stats bonus!" Arisu explains.
"What?..." A confused Serika has no idea how to respond.
Sensei: Why is it important to you to protect this school?
Shiroko: Sensei...
Sensei: Why?
All the members look to him, considering his words. Shiroko then gains a look of determination.
Shiroko: Because...
She gets up.
Shiroko: this school is where we belong.
'It is the only home I've ever known. I will always fight to protect it.' Shiroko smiles.
Sensei smiles at her.
Sensei: Is that how everyone feels?
All: Of coarse!
The rest stand.
"Even with such low supplies, we'll find a way to win." Nonomi declares with determination. The rest of the FTF smiles at her words.
Gang Leader: Who the hell is this, swooping in like some hero?!
Sensei: You can call me Sensei.
Gang Leader: Sensei?
Sensei: I'm here to help my students. Sorry, but I have to ask you to leave the school's property.
Gang Leader: You think you can talk down to me like that?! I'll shoot you to pieces!
The Gang Leader lifts her gun and fires.
"Woah, woah, woah, did she just open fire on an adult!" Hifumi exclaims.
"Talk about stupid. Harming an adult, especially one associated with the GSC, comes with a harsh punishment." Hanako says.
"I knew these guys weren't all that smart, but holy crap." Serika says.
Sensei: Lets go everyone!
All five FTF members look determined. Shiroko rushes out into the gunfire again.
Sensei: Nonomi, lay down suppressive fire!
Nonomi: Roger!
She hefts her minigun up, standing atop sone lockers. She fires in a sweeping motion at the ground a head of her, kicking up dust.
"Pretty smart start." Miyako comments.
"With the smokescreen up, a smaller force will be able to move through and take out the gang members forces one by one." Azusa advises. "Assuming your CQC is adequate."
"Ah, don't worry Azusa. We come with a mean left hook." Hoshino says.
Sensei: Serika, take aim!
Gang member 1: Damn it! Where are they?!
Gang Member 2: Just stay calm.
Gang member two is shot in the face, shattering her visor and falling to the ground. Gang Mmeber 1 falls in the same manner.
Serika: I would've done that even if you didn't tell me!
"Yeah!" Serika agrees with her onscreen self.
"It's normally very difficult to land a shot through a smoke screen. Y-Y-You're a pretty good shot." Miyu compliments the cat girl.
Hoshino takes off running through the dust.
Hoshino: Nice job, Nonomi, Serika!
Gang member 3: What's happening?!
Hoshino appears to her left.
Gang member 3: Don't think that you-
Hoshino smashes her head with her folded shield.
"Ohhh, that ones gotta hurt." Momoi says.
"Serves her right." Serika agrees.
Hoshino: This old-timer can't look bad in front of her youngins!
The remaining members continue their fire while Shiroko runs up to them, jumping onto a desk and then jumping into the air, doing a flip, before landing, taking a knee and firing before her rifle quickly runs empty.
"Hifumi was right. You shouldn't use full auto when low on ammo." Azusa says.
"Things do not indeed appear fine." Midori states.
Meanwhile, Ayane surveys the battle field from above using her own tablet until she finds Shiroko.
Ayane: Coordinates confirmed. Catch, Shiroko!
Ayanes drone drops a mag on Shiroko's position, to which she loads into her rifle.
Shiroko: Nice timing, Ayane.
Once loaded, Shiroko resumes fire. To which she quickly downs 3 gang members.
Gang member 7: Don't underestimate me!
She gets shot in the visor, exposing her face. She crouches down, seemingly crying.
Gang member 8: Hey, get a grip!
Her buddy gets shot and follows her example.
Gang member 8: Eek! How embarrassing!
"Why did they just give up like that?" Koharu questions,
"Kata-Kata Helmet Gang members put a lot of stock into their helmets. To have it damaged to the point that their face can be seen is taken as an embarrassment among their ranks." Ayane explains.
This time, the FTF continues fire, whittling down the gang members one by one.
Gang Leader: Hey!
Shiroko loads a new mag as she runs for the leader.
Gang Leader: Don't come any closer!
The Gang leader resumes fire as Shrioko weaves around her bullets, getting closer.
"You're certainly quite agile to be able to make it through all that without being shot." Miyako compliments.
"Yeah! You could make a good Justice Task Force member if you went to Trinity." Koharu adds.
"Mm. You are very skilled." Azusa continues.
"Nn. Thanks." Shiroko takes the compliments in stride.
Sensei: Deliver the final blow, Shiroko!
Gang Leader: I said stay back!
Shiroko knocks her gun away with her own and the delivers a kick to her chest, sending her onto her back. She then quickly aims her rifle at the leaders head.
Azusa nods at her CQC. 'Quick and effective.'
Gang leader: W-W-W-W-Wait! I-I surrender!
Shiroko: It's over.
The Gang leader watches in fear as Shiroko fires, the bullet the left side of her goggles, embending itself in them.
Shiroko keeps firing.
Gang Leader: Ow, ow! That hurts!
Sensei just witnesses this go down with a wtf expression on his face.
"Stop it, she's already dead!" Momoi memes.
"That does seem a bit overkill." Hanako agrees.
"Yes, did you have to do that Shiroko? Especially with an adult watching?" Ayane asks with exasperation.
"Yes. It'll make her listen." Shiroko defends.
Gang Leader: Please, no! Augh! It hurts!
Shiroko: Then leave. Now.
Gang Leader: Okay, okay! I'm leaving! I'm gone!
The Gang leader gets up, her right goggle cracked with her left one complelty shattered. She and her underlings quickly flee.
Gang Leader: We'll get revenge one day!
Shiroko watches then flee.
Nonomi: We won, Shiroko! Well done!
The rest of her teammates join her.
Hoshino: We really managed to turn the tide there.
Ayane: All thanks to Sensei's help.
"He did manage to scrap together a plan real quick." Hanako says.
"Even if it was a bit unorthodox." Saki comments.
"Nn. It works, it works." Shiroko says.
Sensei akwardly approaches, scratching the back of his head.
Sensei: Not at all. I didn't do anything. It's my job as a teacher to help my students in their time of need.
Serika: Hmph. We would've beat them on our own anyway.
Hoshino: Bashful as always, Serika. Don't be so stubborn!
Serika: Sh-Shut up!
"Hmph. I am not stubborn." Serika says. None of the audience looked like they believed it.
Nonomi: Our little Serika is so adorable. You're putting on such a tough front!
Serika: Stop it already!
Hoshino hugs onto Serika while she looks like she's trying to get out of it. Sensei, Ayane, and Nonomi smile at the scene.
Shiroko: So, this is... Sensei. The scene fades to white before settling on Shirokos apartment at night. Her bike, gun, bag, and uniform back in place. Shiroko sits on her bed on her phone. She's looking at the texts from the other FTF members who appear to be discussing Sensei. Shiroko then collapses onto her bed soon looking over to the figure on her right. She smiles, giving it a push and letting it swing around.
The screen goes black.
"So... thats the first part?" Hifumi asks.
"End credits scene!" Both Momoi and Arisu cried out.
The screen goes to Abydos at night, in the office area where Sensei sits, staring at his tablet. It activates, showing the Schale logo again. Cut to a wreaked room where the sun shines down and there seems to be a minor bit of flooding as a student sits at a desk. The student wears a simple blue uniform and has short, light blue hair.
'Huh? Where are we now?' The students present wondered.
Arona: Strawberry milk...
Sensei approaches the student.
Sensei: Hi, Arona.
"Is he... is he IN the tablet?!" Koharu questions.
"Millennium definitely can't do that." Yuzu says.
"So where is this?" Nonomi asks with out answer.
Arona rouses from her sleep and then jolts upright from her desk, her halo changes shape.
"WOAH! Are you all seeing this?!" Momoi exclaims.
"My... No one has been able to change their halo's shape." Hanako says.
Arona: I've been waiting for you, Sensei.
She smiles at him and the episode ends.
"So THATS the first part." Serika confirms.
"Eh. Needs more explosions." Moe comments.
"This isn't Michelle Bay, Moe." Saki reprimands.
"It would be better if it was." Moe says.
"Disagree." Midori lays out her opinion.
"Nn. Onto the next one?"
AN: I've started this around the time the show first came out. I've slowly but surely wrote this out to about half ways... then finished the rest in the span of a week. Oof. I am not doing that again. With that stated, let me know if I missed something or some of the characters reactions seem off. I find writing the more reserved characters; Yuzu, Koharu, Miyu, to be pretty difficult. As always, feed back is really appreciated.
