Sabaku no Kitsune: Chapter 51
In Nambu Village: With Naruto, Kurumi and Karin
Naruto, Kurumi and Karin were all sleeping in futons in the living room of a abandoned house as Obito took a bedroom Kakashi and Sakura took the other one; they were all lying next to each other with Naruto, Karin and Kurumi sleeping in that order.
As the laid down there was a light 'whooshing' sound and Karin rolled over without opening her eyes and spoke to Kurumi.
"Kurumi, you're punching in your sleep again" Karin said softly and Kurumi woke up slightly.
"Sorry" Kurumi said tiredly; a few seconds later there was a light whistling sound and Karin furrowed her brow while keeping her eyes closed.
"Kurumi, you're whistling in your sleep again" Karin said slightly annoyed.
"Sorry" Kurumi said tiredly; a few seconds later there was the sound of a muffled explosion and Karin opened her eyed.
"Ughhh… Kurumi, we both know what that was" Karin said accusingly.
"That wasn't me" Kurumi said not opening her eyes; a few seconds later Kurumi farted and both she and Karin opened their eyes "ok, now that was me". Kurumi chuckled and Karin groaned while Naruto rolled over and spoke to Karin.
"Kurumi has gas again?" Naruto said tiredly and not opening his eyes.
"Yeah" Karin said and Naruto groaned as he sat up and got to his feet.
"I'll crack open a window" Naruto said as he began to walk to the window "I keep telling you to not eat so much ice cream because of your lactose intolerance". Naruto walked to the window and was about to opened it until he looked out side; the sky to the south was bright as the dawn and Naruto looked behind him and saw a clock that read 3 AM.
'Huh… dawn is still three hours away' Naruto thought; suddenly from the south there was a soft explosion with a mushroom cloud and Naruto realized what was going on. Naruto spun around and ran over to Karin and Kurumi and knelt at their feet; Naruto put his hands on their legs and began to shake them "guys, guys, guys, wake up, wake up" Naruto shouted and both girls shot up with annoyed looks on their faces.
"Naruto, what the-" Kurumi began until she looked out the window and was seeing what Naruto just saw.
Karin did the same thing and she stood up and grabbed her glasses "oh damn… OH SHIT!" Karin shouted in realization.
"Get dressed, I'll get the others" Naruto said as he ran to the 2 remaining rooms in the house; Naruto first stopped at Obito's room and began to knock on the door "sensei, sensei, sensei!"
Obito opened the door wearing only his boxers and a white muscle shirt "Naruto? What the hell is going on?" Obito asked groggily and Naruto spoke.
"There's explosions off in the distance; I think we're under attack" Naruto said and Obito went wide eyed and spoke.
"Shit, I'll get ready, grab the others; we leave in five minutes" Obito said and Naruto spoke.
"I already got Karin and Kurumi; I'll go get Kakashi sensei and Sakura" Naruto said and Obito nodded as he began to throw his cloths on; Naruto ran down the hall towards Kakashi and Sakura's room, grabbed the handle and opened the door. "Kakashi sensei, Sakura; there's-" Naruto stopped mid sentence as he realized what he was seeing.
Kakashi was on the bottom while Sakura was on top and both were completely naked with only the blankets covering their lower regions; Kakashi went wide eyed while Sakura covered her chest and began to scream.
Sudden foot steps came to the door and Kurumi approached "what happened? Is there- OH MY GOD" Kurumi said as she closed her eyes and turned around with a blush as she just saw Sakura and Kakashi naked.
"GAH, SAKURA YOU'RE NAKED" Naruto shouted pointing at her and Sakura grabbed a pillow and threw it at Naruto hitting him in the face.
"OH MY GOD GET OUT" Sakura shouted and both Naruto and Kurumi ran out of the room and closed the door.
"Sorry guys but we're under attack; get dressed and let's go" Naruto shouted through the door; both Sakura and Kakashi forgot their anger and jumped out of bed and began to get dressed.
"I swear to Kami, if this isn't a real attack; I'm killing Naruto" Sakura said as she put on her panties and pulled on her shorts.
"Just when we were getting to the good part too" Kakashi said as he pulled on his pants and put on his mask.
(5 minutes later) Nambu village streets: With Naruto and the others
Naruto, Obito, Kurumi, Karin, Kakashi and Sakura were running through the streets of the village and it was total pandemonium as Suna, Ame and Snow ninja rushed around. Some were in full battle gear, some were in pajamas wearing only their chunin vests or their chakra armor.
Naruto and his team were wearing their new cloths and their new chakra armor as they ran past the panicked ninja.
"Ok looks like this isn't a false alarm" Sakura said as she ran with her group towards the Suna HQ to find Gaara; as they turned a corner they saw the building and saw a large group of ninja standing in a formation.
"Hey look it's Gaara" Naruto shouted as he pointed ahead as he saw Gaara on a sand platform he created.
Gaara turned his head and saw Naruto, Kurumi and the others rushing towards him; Gaara got down off his platform and spoke "Naruto; you made it" he said.
"What the hell is going on?" Naruto asked and Gaara spoke.
"Konoha has launched a surprise attack on three different sectors" Gaara said shocking Naruto and his team "Baki and his unit are falling back; we have lost contact with the other units, so we assume they got wiped out".
"What do you need us to do Gaara" Kurumi asked and Gaara spoke.
"Ame and Spring country are gathering their shinobi as we speak" Gaara said as he pulled out a map "I'm heading to the center with a unit of Suna and Spring shinobi to defend the bridge that leads to this village".
Naruto and the others looked and saw that there was a bridge over a river they crossed on their way to the village; the water in the river was too powerful to use the walk on water technique to the bridge was a necessity to cross.
"We'll need to defend this bridge in order to deny the enemy a way to cross" Gaara said "I would like to take Naruto with me; Naruto for his long range wind jutsu".
"Can do" Naruto said and Gaara nodded
"Thank you; next is the mountain pass off to the west of us" Gaara said pointing at a mountain formation "this area is used to move supplies over the mountains to supply ourselves and if they take that area they'll cut us off".
"Me, Sakura and Karin can go" Kakashi said stepping forward "who's heading that way?"
"The Spring ninja will be heading there" Gaara said and Kakashi nodded "go to their commander and join them".
"Alright then" Kakashi said before looking at Naruto, Kurumi and Obito "good luck; stay safe"; Kakashi, Sakura and Karin all ran off leaving them
"Very well then, now for the last objective" Gaara said as he pointed to the east "In the east there is a supply depot that we were using to supply Kumo in Oto; if they take that then they'll be cut off". "Obito, Kurumi, both of you go to the Ame commander and get organized" Gaara said and they both nodded.
"Ok Gaara" Obito said before looking to Naruto, patted him on the shoulder and spoke "see you later Naruto".
Kurumi gave Naruto a hug and spoke "bye Naruto, be safe" she said and Naruto hugged her back; Kurumi then went to Gaara and spoke "You too Gaara". Kurumi hugged Gaara catching him off guard for a moment before giving her a hug back; Kurumi broke the hug and both her and her father ran off.
Gaara felt a little bit of worry for Kurumi but set that aside as he looked to Naruto "lets get going" Gaara said and Naruto nodded.
In the east: With Obito and Kurumi
Obito and Kurumi along with about three hundred Ame ninja were heading east to the supply depot using the woods to conceal their movements as they made way to the location. The Ame commander split his forces into groups of six in order to make sure they're not one giant target.
Kurumi had her hand on her sword as she and the other ran across the tree branches so that in a moments notice she can use it.
"Kurumi" Obito spoke up and Kurumi looked over towards him "stay on your toes and keep close; last thing I want is something to happen to you".
"Ok dad, I will" Kurumi said; Kurumi looked back at her group and looked at them. They were fresh chunin from Ame and looked like they've never seen combat before; this worried her as she wished they had more experienced people.
Kurumi looked forward again and out of the corner of her eye saw something; Kurumi activated her sharingan and saw a silhouette of a person. Kurumi whipped out her sword just in time as a volley of kunai came towards her and her team; Kurumi used her sword to defend herself, Obito used his Kamui and the others used their kunai.
One of the Ame ninja wasn't fast enough and was hit in the chest falling down to the forest floor "Get to the ground" Obito shouted and everyone jumped down and landed. As soon as they did ten Konoha ninja wearing blank anbu masks rushed out an attacked.
One of the ninja tried to send a palm strike to Kurumi's chest but Kurumi sent a stab to the mans chest hitting his heart and killing him; Kurumi heard another ninja behind her and she spun around and decapitated her before she could strike.
Obito used his Kamui to phase through a palm strike and grabbed the enemy ninja by the neck; with a twist Obito broke the mans neck before throwing him to the ground. Three more ninja came up beside him and Obito jumped away while going through hand signs 'Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu'.
Obito unleashed a large stream of fire towards the enemy ninja and hit all three sending them ablaze as they danced around screaming trying to put the fire out; Obito looked and saw that the last five ninja already killed their Ame allies.
Kurumi saw this too and rushed over wielding her sword; one of the attackers charged at her with a kunai and slashed at Kurumi but she used her sword to block the attack. Kurumi kicked the ninja in the face sending him flying into a tree and knocking off his mask.
Kurumi took out two shuriken and threw them at two ninja hitting them in the throat severing their arteries; two other charged at Kurumi and one sent a palm strike towards her. Kurumi used her sword to chop off his hand before performing a downwards slash cutting him open from collar to belly; the last one attacked her sending a flurry of palm strikes towards her.
Kurumi dodged the attacks with relative ease thanks to her sharingan; Kurumi ducked under another palm strike and proceeded to stab the ninja just below his navel and dragged her sword to the left disemboweling and killing the man. Kurumi gripped her sword as she heard another set of foot steps behind her and spin around sending another stab.
The stab connected but Kurumi went wide eyed at who she stabbed; it was the ninja she kicked earlier who no longer had on that mask. It was a girl no older than 10 who had the pale lavender eyes of the Hyuga clan and a green seal tattooed on her forehead.
Kurumi pulled her sword out of the girl who fell down to the ground clutching her the spot where Kurumi stabbed her; Kurumi kneeled down and began to put pressure on the wound as the young girl began to cry.
Obito seeing this ran over to the ninja who's neck he broke and took off the mask; the man he killed was old maybe around fifty or sixty and also a Hyuga.
"What the fuck" Obito said to himself; a second later he heard a stabbing noise and a gasp and turned. Kurumi used her sword to stab the girl in the chest performing a coup de grace and end her suffering; the girls went quiet as her head fell back onto the ground and her seal faded away signaling she was dead.
Kurumi gripped her sword and began to check all the bodies, after a few minutes of checking Kurumi discovered something shocking; all of them were either old men or young kids.
"W-what the hell is this?" Kurumi said as Obito walked over and stood next to her.
"A desperate measure; in a desperate time" came a voice as both Obito and Kurumi turned around ready for battle. Hiashi Hyuga wearing his jonin uniform appeared out of the dark woods "seems like the Uchiha have come out to partake in battle" he said in a cool tone "Itachi told us about two survivors but I never thought I'd meet them personally".
"Hiashi Hyuga" Obito said and Hiashi looked at Obito.
"Hello Obito" Hiashi said before looking over at Kurumi "is this your half breed daughter? Such a shame, decades of breeding and family lineage wasted when you rutted with peasant stock". Kurumi growled at this and Hiashi continued "but it's to be expected; you Uchiha were always more barbaric and uncivilized compared to other clans".
"How about you shut the fuck up" Kurumi said pointing her sword at him "'barbaric' huh; I'm not the one sending enslaved children and old people to fight my battles". "I can't wait to kill you; Hinata told me all about you, and frankly taking your head will be a great present for her" Kurumi said.
"Oh, you know that failure?" Hiashi said and Kurumi scowled.
"Funny you should say that; because the only Hyuga failures I know of are you and your dead nephew" Kurumi said making Hiashi go wide eyed "yeah, that's right, he's dead; Naruto killed him and he died like a bitch". "I should know, me and Naruto dumped his corpse in a field; no burial or funeral for that asshole" Kurumi said.
"Insolent savage" Hiashi spat as he snapped his fingers; out of the woods nearly two hundred ninja came out of the woods. All of the ninja reached up and took off their masks revealing they were all Hyuga; about half were children and old people and ninety percent of them had curse marks on their foreheads.
Obito went wide eyed as he realized what he and his daughter stumbled into; it was an entire company of shinobi. Obito smirked and looked to Kurumi.
"Kurumi" Obito said "don't hold back baby girl; go all out"; Kurumi hearing this nodded and closed her eyes. Kurumi opened her eyes again showing her EMS and she spoke.
"Susanoo" Kurumi said; the next moment Kurumi was surrounded by her perfected Susanoo. Her Susanoo was sky blue, wearing samurai like and wielded a Katana; Kurumi stood in the middle of it and looked at Hiashi "bring it you bastards; I'll take you all on!"
In the west: With Kakashi, Sakura and Karin
Kakashi, Sakura and Karin were in the mountains defending the pass with the help of the spring ninja; so far they were at one of the four checkpoint and did not see any sign of the enemy which made Kakashi worry.
Kakashi scanned around using his sharingan hoping to see any signs of the enemy; as he did so he saw some movement down below.
"Movement below" Kakashi said and every ninja got down onto their stomachs and looked over the edge.
Coming up the side of the mountain was a force of about 200 hundred enemy ninja below them climbing up; Kakashi cursed as he only had about 50 ninja with him as the snow commander had to spread his forces out evenly since he only had about 200 ninja at his disposal to guard four check points.
"Kakashi, what are we going to do?" Sakura asked and Kakashi thought for a second and spoke.
"We have the element of surprise" Kakashi said "Me and the others will pull back from the while you stay here". Kakashi looked to Sakura with a rare double eye smile and spoke "and you do what you're best at" he said and Sakura caught the hint.
"Oh baby, you know how to flatter a girl" Sakura said and Kakashi chuckled; Kakashi got up and signaled for the others to fall back several feet. Sakura walked back a few steps and cracked her knuckled 'ok then, if I hit the ground at a forty five degree angle then it should work" she thought.
Sakura cocked back her fist and charged her chakra before letting out a loud shout and throwing a punch "CHAAA" Sakura roared as she punched the ground.
Fuu and Torune were climbing up the mountain with their root ninja in order to take the checkpoint above; they split up their forces into four 200 strong units. They were certain that they could take the outpost above them.
As they continued up the cliff face there was a loud rumble and the cliff began to shake.
"What was that; an earthquake" Fuu asked as he turned to Torune; Torune was about to answer when he heard rumbling and looked above. The top of the cliff began to crack and began to fall apart; Torune seeing this shouted.
"Everyone; off the cliff" Torune shouted as he, Fuu and a the root ninja jumped off the wall to the cliff down below; some of the root ninja were not quick enough as they lost their grip and fell down.
Several ninja hit the ground down below hitting the ground hard splattering like water melons and giant boulders came raining down from above ; Fuu and Torune began to go through hand signs and slammed their hands onto the ground.
"Earth Style: Earth Dome" they both shouted; an earth dome covered both of them and the root ninja also did the same. However some were not able to and were crushed by the falling rocks and some earth domes were too weak to withstand the weight of the boulders; when the crashing stopped Torune and Fuu dropped the dome to see the damage done to their forces.
Upon dropping the dome they heard the sound of chirping and saw Kakashi in front of them with a Raikiri in his hand "Raikiri" Kakashi roared as he thrusted forward. Kakashi speared his jutsu through Torune's chest hitting his heart and killing him instantly.
Fuu seeing this reached behind him for his sword and pulled it out and swung at Kakashi; Kakashi spun around using Torune's corpse as a shield as he pulled his hand out. Fuu's sword slashed across Torune's back and Kakashi grabbed and pulled Torune's sword out of his sheath.
Kakashi kicked the corse and launched it towards Fuu who jumped back into a defensive stance "Long time no see Fuu; I wondered if you and Torune were still alive" he said "well… now only one of you is still alive".
Fuu growled and looked to the cliff; Sakura and the Spring ninja were coming down the cliff as the surviving root ninja got out from behind cover.
"You'll pay for that Kakashi" Fuu said with a scowl and Kakashi got into a stance himself wielding Torune's sword.
"It's been a long time since I've been in a sword fight; time to knock off some rust" Kakashi said as he charged towards Fuu.
In the Center; at the bridge: With Naruto and Gaara
Naruto and Gaara were on the opposite side of the bridge facing to where the enemy was supposedly coming from; behind them on the side of the bridge in the direction of Nambu village several Suna ninja were running electrical wires from several dozen blocks C4 to some detonators.
Gaara decided that if they could not keep their side of the bridge that they would blow it up to ensure the enemy cannot use it to cross.
Naruto looked down over the side of the bridge and felt uneasy; the river was over a mile wide and the water was rushing to violently that crossing it by swimming or any other means seemed like suicide. And what's worse the river was at the bottom of a canyon with cliffs 60 feet high; and inside the water there were hundreds rocks just under the surface.
"Well it's nice to know that I'll probably die from the drop than from drowning" Naruto said as he looked at Gaara who nodded.
"I can not swim; so it is most imperative that I do not fall in" Gaara said and Naruto nodded.
"Man it's so crazy you don't know how to swim; Temari and Kankuro know how, why don't you?" Naruto asked and Gaara spoke.
"My sand will not let me touch water; also I usually use my platform or the walk on water jutsu" Gaara said and Naruto nodded.
Naruto was about to continue when a voice called up "Movement front" a Suna ninja shouted; Naruto, Gaara and the 500 or so Suna ninja got ready for battle as they saw a large group heading towards them.
As they approached Gaara and Naruto recognized who was coming towards them "Baki" Gaara said as he saw Baki retreating with his troops including Konohamaru, Moegi, Udon and Ebisu.
Baki ran up to Gaara and Naruto and spoke "We were nearly over run" Baki said slightly out of breath "we lost half our ninja just trying to escape".
"How many do you have left and how many enemies were you facing?" Gaara asked and Baki spoke.
"We have about a thousand ninja left but the enemy out numbers us; we estimate about three thousand or so" Baki said making Naruto and Gaara go wide eyed. Konohamaru walked up and spoke.
"We were the ones who spotted them" Konohamaru said "the majority were Konoha and Oto ninja but there were a few Kusa and Taki ninja with them too".
"God damn it" Naruto said rubbing his hand in his hair and Konohamaru continued.
"That's not all; these were not just any Konoha shinobi either" Konohamaru said "most of them were Nara, Akimichi, Yamanaka and Inuzuka along with a few Sarutobi Clansmen; I recognized them by their jutsu and their clan symbols".
"What the hell? How did they get so many" Naruto asked and Ebisu walked up.
"I saw them and a lot of them were ninja I didn't recognize; they were either too young or too old" Ebisu said "my best guess is that they're new or retired ninja pressed into service".
Naruto clenched his fists and Gaara saw this and spoke "we cannot just stay here; we should attack them" Ebisu nodded and spoke.
"I agree, an ambush will be very advantageous" Ebisu said and Gaara nodded before looking to Naruto.
"Naruto, take Ebisu and his team with you in order to set up an ambush" Gaara said as he pulled out a map; he scanned for a few seconds until he found what he was looking for. "This hill to the east over looks a giant forest" Gaara said "the enemy will probably try to attack through here, so head there and use your wind jutsu and Konohamaru's fire jutsu to set the forest on fire".
Naruto hearing this nodded as he grabbed his fan "Alright Gaara, we'll do that, just don't let this bridge get taken; if we're not back and you get over run, just blow it" Naruto said and Gaara nodded. Naruto looked to Ebisu and spoke "you ready Ebisu sensei" he said and Ebisu nodded.
"Lets go" Ebisu said as he, Naruto, Konohamaru, Udon and Moegi all ran to the hill.
(45 minutes later) At the hill: With Naruto and Team Ebisu
Naruto and his team finished climbing the him that overlooked the forest the forest east of the bridge "alright we made it" Naruto said as he opened his fan and looked at Konohamaru "when I unleash my jutsu hit it with the biggest fire jutsu you got".
"We'll keep watch" Ebisu said; Naruto was about to speak until a voice spoke up.
"Looks like my hypothesis was correct; you would come over here" the voice said; Naruto and the others turned around and saw several figure rising out of the shadows of the night.
Shikaku Nara, Choza Akimichi, Inoichi Yamanaka and 9 root anbu appeared out for the darkness "Hello Naruto; it's been a long time" Shikaku said and Naruto looked at him with narrowed eyed.
'Oh this is fan-fucking-tastic; now I have Shikamaru's dad on my ass' Naruto thought.
"I've been waiting for this moment for a long time brat" Inoichi said as he took out a kunai "you're going to pay for what you did to my Ino".
"Time to avenge my sons death" Choza said as he cracked his knuckles; the anbu they brought with them all took out their swords and got ready to fight and Shikaku spoke up.
"Alright then; time for phase two" Shikaku said as he made a hand sign; Shikaku shot out his shadow in multiple directions and Naruto was about to move so he doesn't get caught by it. But Naruto was caught completely off guard when Shikaku's shadow went to Inoichi, Choza and the anbu; "Shadow possession Jutsu" Shikaku said restraining his friends and the anbu.
"Shikaku, what are you doing?" Choza said as he tried to break free; Shikaku changed his hand sign and the shadow began to go up the restrained men forming into a hand and stopping at their throats.
"Shadow Strangulation Jutsu" Shikaku said as he began to strangle his comrades with his shadow.
"S-S-Shikaku… no… don't-" Inoichi begged but Shikaku wasn't listening.
"I'm sorry" Shikaku said closing his eyes; there were nine audible snapped as Shikaku broke the necks of Inoichi, Choza and the anbu killing them instantly. Shikaku recalled his shadow letting the bodies fall down to the ground and he looked at Naruto.
"W-w-what the hell was that?" Naruto shouted in shock; Naruto was now confused. Shikaku was life long friends with Inoichi and Choza; and he just killed them in cold blood.
"Y-you killed them; your own friends" Konohamaru said "why?"
Shikaku had a few tears falling down his face as he looked at Naruto and the others "they were too far gone, to consumed with hatred and grief; this was the best course of action" Shikaku said. Shikaku wiped his tears and looked at Naruto and spoke "Naruto, I don't expect you to trust me; but I'm on your side" he said.
"And why should I believe you?" Naruto said and Shikaku sighed as he reached behind him; Naruto and the others got on alert when Shikaku put his free hand up.
"Relax; I'm just pulling out a scroll" Shikaku said as he pulled out a scroll and held it in front of himself "this is a copy of the attack I planned for this sector; it shows troop movements".
Naruto raised and eyebrow at this and spoke "why are you helping us?" Naruto asked and Shikaku spoke.
"Konoha is on it's last legs and I don't want this war to continue; we're already using children and old people to fight" Shikaku said "Danzo is going to ruin Konoha, I see the writing on the wall; I just want my clan and my home to survive".
Naruto hearing this put up his weapon surprising the others as he walked over and grabbed the scroll "You know I'm going to kill your son right?" Naruto said and Shikaku nodded.
"Shikamaru is my son… but that person wearing his face is not him" Shikaku said with a pained voice "please Naruto, I'm to weak to do it; kill Danzo, kill Shikamaru and set things right".
Naruto hearing this reached out took the scroll and shook Shikaku's hand "You have my word" he said.
"Now then… as you know I cannot return back to my unit perfectly fine when both my friends are dead" Shikaku said and Naruto nodded and sighed.
"What do you want?" Naruto asked.
"A broken nose, a broken leg and a broken arm" Shikaku said and Naruto nodded as he balled up his fist.
"You're one cool dude Shikaku" Naruto said and Shikaku smiled; Naruto proceeded to punch Shikaku in the nose breaking it and making it spurt blood. Naruto grabbed his fan and used it as a club hitting Shikaku in his right shin breaking the bone; Shikaku fell to the ground holding back his screams as the pain shot through his body. Naruto grabbed Shikaku's left arm and is used his knee to hit his forearm breaking the bones.
Shikaku growled in pain as he laid on the ground and Naruto spoke "are you ok?" Naruto asked and Shikaku nodded.
"I'm hurting really bad" Shikaku said and Naruto realized that was a stupid question "drop me off down the hill and blow up the bodies; leave no evidence".
"Ok we will" Naruto said "Konohamaru, lets burn the forest; Moegi, Udon put exploding tags on the bodies".
Naruto and Konohamaru both ran to the edge of the hill and got ready; Naruto opened his fan and charged it with Kyuubi Chakra 'Wind Scythe Jutsu'. Naruto fired a Kyuubi powered wind jutsu towards the forest just as Konohamaru finished his hand signs.
'Fire Style: Magestic Flames Jutsu' Konohamaru fired a medium sized stream of fire at Naruto's wind jutsu; the result was a wave of wind powered flames spreading over the forest and setting it ablaze.
"No one's making it through that" Naruto said as he turned and walked over to Shikaku picking him up "Lets get back to Gaara".
Ebisu and the others nodded as they all ran back down the hill; once they reached the bottom of the hill Ebisu spoke "I think we're far enough" he said before making a hand sign. An explosion from the top of the hill echoed through the air as rocks and debris flew around.
"Thank you for that; now go" Shikaku said; Naruto put Shikaku down against a boulder and spoke.
"Thank you; Shikaku" Naruto said as he and the other ran off to go and inform Gaara; Shikaku groaned as he laid against the boulder.
'Leaving the fate of my village and my clan in the hands of that kid' Shikaku said as he reached into his pocket, pulled out a cigarette and lit it with a lighter. Shikaku took a puff as he waited for a patrol to come and find him 'what a drag' he thought.
Ok another chapter done; I hope you all enjoyed it. So yeah Shikaku betrayed Konoha, no surprise there; he's a smart guy and even he can see the war is lost and so is Shikamaru. But still he made a sacrifice and killed his friends to end the war. By the way if you guys are going to complain about the beginning of the chapter saying it's out of character; obviously you've never had siblings or been in the military. Trust me if you sleep in the barracks with 50 other dudes it gets miserable in there from all the people farting, coughing, sneezing and mumbling every night.
