Hana's Account: The day before the murder, she went to the Drug Store. There was no one there, but she did see a stick at the counter

The 15 students enter a circular room decorated in blue lighting. In the center of the room stood 16 podiums, with a large throne overlooking them all. And atop that throne, sat Monokuma
"Ah the Class Trial" Monokuma sighs, almost nostalgically. "Nothing quite beats the feeling of the first! Like ripping the plastic off a brand new video game!"
"Mr Kuma" Hinata speaks up "What, praytell, are we to do?"
"Yeah asshole!" Hiko shouts "You never explained what this trial is gonna be like!"
"Hey hey hey, everyone calm down! Just take a stand at the podiums in front of you! Find your name and then I'll explain!" Monokuma shouts. The students find their spots as Monokuma clears his throat "Now then, for the basic summary of the class trial. Basically, you're all gonna stand here and discuss the case front to back, then you'll all vote on 'whodunit'! If you pick the right one, then only the Blackened will be punished! But if you pick the wroooong oooone" Monokuma giggles "Then I'll punish everyone BESIDES the blackened! And they will be allowed to graduate!"
'A murder trial...I've handled my fair share of these before but...something tells me this isn't going to be like normal ones' Sakura thinks
"And...what's that?" Hiroto points. At the empty podium was a sign with Kubo's face, a pink X-made of 2 crossing fishing poles-crossed over it
"Well I didn't want poor Kubo to be left out of the fun just because he died!" The bear giggles. "Now then! Lets get this class trial Start-"
"How do we know it wasn't you!" Riku shouts
"...what?" Monokuma tilts his head
"Yeah...he's right" Sakura says "You're the one who started this killing game. And none of us would have done this. How do we know the killer wasn't you."
"..." Monokuma goes red in anger "Grrr! How DARE you! For your information, I'm not allowed to kill any of you unless your the Blackened or break a rule!"
'He's not allowed to?' Sakura thinks
"Got it? I wont ever commit a murder myself! I'll even add this to your monopads so you don't forget!"

"..." Sakura was silent "I think...he's telling the truth." She says "If he wanted us dead he would have just killed us all then and there..."
"So the killer really is one of us..." Ohana looked down silently.
"Grrr...alright!" Cho shouts "Who was it! Raise your hand!"
"Idiot! Obviously the killer isn't going to confess like that!" Momo shouts as Futaba eeks

"So how do we get started..." Arthur says.
"Guess first. We should go over the basics of the case" Hiroto says

"Admittedly, I don't know why it would have been unlocked." Sakura says "But its clear the killer didn't have to break in."
"Well that's all well and good" Arthur says "But that doesn't really change anything right?"
"Yeah." Hibiki nods "We need to keep going!"
"Then may I make a suggestion?" Hiroto says. "I wish to discuss...the cause of death"
"The...cause of death?" Hinata asks
'I think I know where Hiroto is going with this...that's another thing that bothered me' Sakura thinks

'speaking of which..' Sakura thinks "Ren. Did you manage to figure out what that glass was?"
"Oh! Yes, i managed to piece it together and figured it out. Those glass shards belonged to a vase!"
(end Flashback)
"Yes, that's what I deduced." Ren nods
"So what does that have to do with anything?" Hiko asks "Isn't it possible the killer or Kubo just accidently broke the vase and threw it out before they stepped on it?"
"Yeah. There's no way the killer hit him over the head with it!" Bakubaku shouts "We woulda seen the injury!"
"So its irrelevant?" Futaba asks meekly
'No its not irrelevant...this vase is definitely tied to the murder because...' Sakura thinks

"T-that confidence is frightening" Riku says with wide eyes "Guess that's from being the Ultimate Lawyer huh?"
"Never lose your glare. That's how I was taught" Sakura says with a grin before thinking 'Those glass pieces that didn't fit...yes, I'm confident they were from that'

"Size...texture...coloration...ah!" He opens his eyes wide in surprise "T-that's it! Now that I think about it, those remaining shards were definitely a container of some kind!"
"So, the killer poisoned Kubo, then broke both the bottle and the vase..." Aijin says
"then threw both of them away together to hide the evidence!" Cho finishes the thought
"Yes, that's exactly it." Sakura nods

"Yes. You see, that poison wasn't just any normal poison." Sakura explains. "It was also highly acidic"
"Poison and Acid..." Hinata says "Two halves of a coin, in one. Twisted, this game is."
"Is now really the time for a Haiku!?" Momo shouts
"The directions on the poison's bottle says it can be diluted with water to achieve a more subtle death." Hiroto says
"I imagine the killer smashing the bottle on the floor is likely what caused the hole to appear. And the water from the cup filled it in." Sakura nods. "Either way, it confirms without doubt the murder weapon, and those shards, were a bottle of Acidic Poison!"
"Hm..." Hana thinks "Real quick. Where was this poison from again?"
"huh? uh..." Sakura says

"I mean." Hiroto crosses his arms "She simply could have taken the poison last week, then hid it away until she was ready to use it"

"If any of you even think of attacking me, know it will be your last mistake!" Aijin yells. Everyone begins to yell and argue when suddenly the sound of a cracking whip is heard. Everyone turns and sees Kubo with his fishing rod
"Everyone relax!" He yelled. "Can't you see what's happening here? That bear is just lying! Trying to make us upset!"
(End Flashback)
"I agree" Hiroto says "Though it is possible he was lying, I see no reason to suspect him of any real wrong doing"
"Yeah" Sakura nods. "But it also means we're back to square one...and with even more questions."
"Why was Kubo's door unlocked...and why did he bring poison?" Kiyomi summarizes
