Chapter 78:
Thanks to Them Part 7
The Dark World
Set during the Day of Unity, Eda held Archimedes in her arm after he saved her from being killed when she was being hit by the draining spell with her curse corrupting her body. He removed her arm as it disintegrated but he was bleeding out since he cut off his leg when he got poisoned.
Eda: Archy why?
Archimedes: Because you're worth it.
But then they felt the ground shake and roaring sounds coming from the skull. It bursts open as Keizer rose out of the skull now revived.
Eda: Is that Keizer?
Archimedes: No...we failed.
Keizer: Sub creatures of the Boiling Isles. The Day of Unity is complete. Emperor Belos is dead. Standing before you is your god, the Titan, Keizer! Your contribution to the Day of Unity brought me back. In the process I have stripped you all of your magic. But rest assured you will not need it anymore in the new world and I have no intention of killing you. I should thank you all for your cooperation to bring me back and as promised I will give you the new world. A new era, my era as supreme ruler of the Demon Realm and you as my subjects!
Keizer used his power as he revived the Choju and Dorodoros as well taking control of the Abomitons. Eda looked up and she could barely see one of the floating platforms Luz, Christa and King.
Eda: Kids!
The Dorodoros grabbed hold of Eda, pulling her away from Archimedes.
Eda: What are you...let go!
As they pulled Eda and Raine, two of them came for Archimedes as they carried him up.
Eda: Don't you touch my man!
Eda transformed in her harpy form screeching as she shook off the Dorodoros holding her and attacked the ones taking Archimedes. She fought a few of them and the ones that hold Raine until suddenly another choju appeared before her landing from the sky. It stood up making a familiar robotic breathing sound.
Black End.
Black End stood before Eda ready to fight her.
Harpy Eda: You again huh?
Eda screeched as she threw a punch at him. Black End caught her fist and punched her across the face to the ground.
Black End.
Black End forced her up as he continued punching. Archimedes still being one of the few not to have their magic drained formed a spell circle and shot a magic projectile at the back of his head and got his attention.
Black End.
Black End turned to Archimedes and was about to fire his energy ball from the face. But Eda grabbed his head and pulled him up making him miss as she knee kicks him. Black End grabbed her by the shoulder but Eda took his hand and threw him off the spiral tower.
ZOOAR!
Eda helped Archimedes up.
Archimedes: Eda, you have to go. Save the kids.
Harpy Eda: I can't leave you.
Raine: I'll take care of him. You go.
Eda nods and flies up to the platform where she saw the Hexsquad at. As she flew up she saw someone falling, it was King.
King: WEEEEEEEh!
Harpy Eda: King!
Eda caught King in midair.
Harpy Eda: I got you.
King: Eda! Luz and Christa are still up there. He's trying to get to them.
She looks up and see's Keizer trying to pull Christa with his tongue.
Harpy Eda: No he won't.
Eda puts King on her back as she flew up. But then Battra rammed into her. He roared as his talons grabbed her by the waist. Eda swiped her hand across his face but Battra was barely harmed as he tried to bite down to her. She stopped him grabbing him by his neck and pushing him back. But she was struggling since she was still missing an arm. King came in between them and let out a sonic yell at Battra, pushing him off and disorienting him.
Eda continued flying up. She flew higher and higher with all her might, hurrying to save her kids. But her curse was about to take control of her soon. But then Black End returned from behind and grabbed hold of her by her leg.
Black End.
Eda kicked him off, but Black End kept pursuing and fired three energy balls from at her. Eda dodged two but was hit by the third by the shoulder. He rammed into her trying to make her fall. He charged at her again as King used a sonic yell at him. However this was not a smart move as Black End absorbed the attack.
King: Oh. I forgot he could do that.
Black End.
Black End fired the sonic yell back at the two. King almost fell off but Eda caught him.
Harpy Eda: Hold on tight.
Black End charged at Eda about to hit her. She dodged the attack and kicked him down to a floating platform. She then flew up an another platform just above Black End.
Harpy Eda: Do it!
King let's out a sonic yell at the platform as it crumbles and debris falls onto Black End.
ZOOOAR!
Eda flew back up to where the kids were. She hurried up there but then se saw Keizer breathe his heat ray at the platform where the were at. Eda stopped where she was as her eye's widened.
Harpy Eda: No.
Eda flew up to Keizer's head as he retracted his tongue back and the platform was destroyed, there were no signs of Luz, Christa or anyone.
King: Luz? Christa?
Eda's body shook as tears fell from her face. She clenched her fist as she tried so hard not to cry. She was too late to save her girls. Keizer looked over at Eda.
Keizer: Hmm, what do we have here?
Eda's eyes turned black as her curse took control of her. She screeched at Keizer and charged at him.
Two months later.
The Boiling Isles that was once scary yet wonderous place is now reduced to a living hell as the sky remained a blood red. Keizer had now ruled the Demon Realm. He sat on his throne made of bones and stood where the skull used to be. Surrounding him were the undead titans now following their new alpha.
Bonesborough was now for the Dorodoros to roam and scattered around were some of the people who had been turned to stone. The residents and scouts were now at the upper body where they were being forced make monuments for Keizer. Being worked to death they were being monitored by the Dorodoros, abomitons and Temperor. He sat on a lawn chair drinking some lemon blood while Bob stood over him with a fan.
Temperor: Ah, I can watch this all day. Wouldn't you agree Bob?
Bob: ( sighs) Yeah whatever.
Temperor: Oh come on this is good. We stay on top as long as we offer our services to the Titan. Hey you! I didn't tell you to stop! ( throws a fire ball) Get back to work! Ugh, slackers am I right?
Bob: ( sighs) Uh huh yeah. I mean it's not like I got a raise or anything.
Keizer: Hmmm, no, no no! I want it bigger!
Keizer pointed his finger at the statue of him and zapped it.
Keizer: Start over! Make it twice the size.
Bill: You heard the Grand Huntsman. Make it bigger!
Bill the leader of the Titan Trappers alongside Tarak stood on a floating platform next to Keizer.
Tarak: Tis not the world we were promised Bill.
Bill: What do you mean Tarak? Look at us. We're working with the Grand Huntsman himself.
Tarak: By selling out our brethren?
Keizer motioned to Tarak letting out a growl.
Bill: Whoa, whoa not in front of the Grand Huntsman and that's a harsh word. I merely offered our services to the Grand Huntsman.
Tarak: By changing them and taking their free will?
Keizer: I merely perfected your army.
Keizer brought down a platform of an army of Titan Trappers standing in place, but they looked different now. They didn't look like they used to but instead looked more like Yakra from before. Being twice the size they used to be, more muscular, wore barbarian like clothing with black pants, brown boots and brown vest and arm guards around his wrists, the built in gatling gun in their left hands and the one zaku like eye that follows between eye holes of the skull. Aside from the different shaped horn skulls, they also had the mark of Keizer's head on the forehead.
Keizer: They make great additions to my new empire.
Bill: Your dinner Grand Huntsman.
One of the Titans approached him bringing him a giant roasted beast demon.
Bill: May I suggest a tournament to entertain you Grand Huntsman?
Keizer: Hmm, yes bring out the entertainment!
A floating platform came down resembling a roman coliseum. Another floating platform came next to Keizer, this one had the Coven Heads turned to stone. Keizer hovered his finger above them to choose his fighter. He chose Darius and placed him in the stadium.
Keizer: Awaken my pawn.
Keizer snaps his fingers as Darius turns back to normal. He dropped to his knees breathing heavily.
Darius: What's going on? ( groans) Of course.
Keizer: Meet your opponent. Bring him in!
The gate opens as Alador is thrown in by a two Dorodoros.
Darius: Alador?
Alador: ( sighs) Of all the people.
Keizer: Choose your weapons.
A rack of weapons emerged from the ground. They looked like typical arena weapons, swords, axes, shields and a hammer but appearing to be made of bones and stone. The two however despite their differences seemed hesitant to do so.
Alador: I will not fight him.
Darius: Don't.
But then an abomiton fired from the top of the arena near Alador.
Keizer: Fight or die!
Bill: Yeah you heard him! Fight or die!
Darius: Just do it if you value your life.
Alador sighs as he took a shield and axe while Darius took a shield and hammer.
Alador: Don't take this personally.
Darius: I won't.
Keizer: Begin!
Alador yelled out as he swung his axe at Darius. Darius blocked the attack with his shield as he tried to hit Alador with his hammer. Alador shielded himself but the impact of the hammer to the shield was strong as it pushed him back. Keizer continued watching while chewing on the bones of his meal while Alador swung his axe down at Darius. He blocks the attack as the axe got stuck on the shield. Darius throws his shield away making Alador lose grip on the axe. Darius swung his hammer at Alador with his shield ready. But the next hit shattered the shield and threw Alador to the ground. Darius stood above him with the hammer in hand as Keizer chuckled.
Keizer: Good. Finish him!
But Darius threw the hammer to the side.
Darius: No, we're done.
Darius helped Alador up.
Alador: Why didn't you do it?
Darius: Because I'm not going to orphan your children or upset your sister.
Keizer: ( slams his fist on thrown) I didn't tell you to stop! Kill him now! Do you hear me!?
Darius: Yes and I refuse.
Keizer angered rose his hand and slammed it on the battle arena on Darius and narrowly missing Alador.
Alador: Darius!
Keizer closed his hand rose it back up as the rubble was dropping from his hands and showing Darius in his hands covered in dirt and rubble.
Keizer: You dare disobey your God?
Darius: You are not my God.
Keizer's eye's glow a brighter red as he emits electricity around his hand shocking Darius.
Alador: No! Stop!
Keizer: ( to Alador) You lost! You are not fit to be in my world.
Keizer points his finger at Alador. The finger tip shines as Alador began to turn to stone. He reached his arms up and screamed as he is petrified.
Darius: No!
Keizer: Put him with the others!
The Dorodoros enter and take the stone turned Alador away.
Keizer: As for you. Do something like that again and I will devour you.
Keizer turns Darius back into stone while yelling out and places him with the other coven heads. Keizer rests his head on his hand frustrated.
Bill: Uh Grand Huntsman perhaps a song in your name will cheer you up?
Another platform floats to Keizer, this one with Thomas with his violin.
Bill: You bard! Sing for the Grand Huntsman.
Thomas: I have a name old man.
Thomas with his violin began to play a tune for Keizer.
Thomas: Uh ahem.
The great and mighty Keizer, how powerful he is.
His power and his might is his greatest trait.
Each of his enemies have all been destroyed.
For he is Keizer the great and powerful.
Keizer rose his head as Thomas looked up nervous.
Keizer: I'm not in a mood for a song.
Just then we hear Melba's roar coming in. He lands on the platform with Bill as Monsieur Bolst gets off.
Keizer: Did you find him?
Monsieur Bolst: Uh still no sign of the last Titan.
Keizer growls as he clutches to his throne.
Keizer: And you return here empty handed!?
Bill: Grand Huntsman please we are searching high and low.
Keizer: Really? Tell me how is it that my own army can't find the son of Ginga anywhere?! Have you forgotten that the only reason none of you are slaves and retained your magic is because I need some who are more familiar with this land?
Bill: I know, but Tarak and I are still new here.
Thomas: Uh if I may oh great and powerful Keizer, what's the big deal finding my ex's kid. I mean you're here and you've ruled the world.
Keizer: Fool! The problem now is that I have to make sure my rule is permanent. I have to destroy every trace of Ginga left. King Clawthorne maybe young and inexperienced, but he still retains power of Ginga. His son isn't the only problem. I've been so focused on him that I neglected something else. The human who escaped me has the one thing that can stop me.
Bill: A really big guy that can punch really hard?
Monsieur Bolst: An army of robot gorillas that bite?
Thomas: Uh...pie?
Keizer: NO YOU FOOLS! The Eye of Ginga! I know Euphemia passed the Eye to her human friend right as she escaped. Even when I was brought back 400 years ago I lost because of the Eye.
Bill: Grand Huntsman it's been two months since she left. Don't you think she would have came back a while ago?
Keizer: She may have trouble but she can still return with it. I must do something about it.
The scene cuts to the Dorodoros riding on a cart with the petrified Alador in the back. But then cart stopped as it got stuck in some vines. Vines that were formed when the cart rolled over a few plant glyphs. The vines grabbed hold of the cart and the Dorodoros. Jumping down on the trees were Eda and Archimedes. Eda had her season 3 with shorter hair now had a cybernetic abomintation arm in place where her arm used to be. Archimdes hair was shorter, had a brown sleeveless tunic showing a bit more muscle in his arms and black pants and boots. But like Eda where his leg used to be has a cybernetic abomintion leg.
Eda: Hey boys, just here to drop by.
Archimedes used his staff to levitate Alador up.
Archimedes: Eda let's go!
The two ran away as one of the Dorodoros took out a whistle and blew in it.
Archimedes: Great, reinforcements are coming.
Eda: Oh come on Archy what's a few Dorodoros we can't handle.
But then cutting in their path were four yakra trappers.
Archimedes: How about the upgraded titan trappers?
Archimedes formed a spell circle firing a fire blast while Eda used a water and ice glyph combo freezing one of them. The other three fired away at the two as Eda placed an Earth glyph on the ground shielding them. The yakra trappers fired away destroying the wall, but Eda and Archimedes were gone. They looked around as Eda and Archimedes became visible after using an invisibility glyph.
Archimedes: Nice thinking.
Eda: Hey you know me. I always have an escape plan. ( looks up and gasp) Look out!
Eda pulled Archimedes away as he was almost hit by a Battra's laser beam from above. Battra roared as he followed the two.
Archimedes: E?
Eda: Keep running.
Eda took out the lightning glyph and fired up at Battra. But suddenly Black End appeared from above and absorbed the attack.
Black End.
Eda: ( groans) This guy.
Black End.
Black End fires back the lightning at the two. It almost hit them but the impact of the blast made them fall and drop Alador. Black End and Battra lands as other Choju consisting of the King Brothers, Red Garon and Doratkishim enter as well as more Dorodoros.
Archimedes: Uh E.
Archimedes felt Eda's arm wrap around his waist.
Eda: Get Alador ready.
Archimedes had Alador levitated again as Eda transforms into her harpy form and flies up. The King Brothers and Doratkishim roared as they fired at Eda but misses.
Archimedes: AAAH! E, I've just been remined why I stopped letting you fly me to school before I got my staff.
Harpy Eda: Oh come on Archy you love it!
ZOOOOAR!
Black End flies up as Battra follows. The two choju fired at them as Eda dodges the attack. Archimedes fired a ray of needle like magic projectiles. Though they hit Battra slowing him down, Black End absorbs the attack and fires back. Archimedes thinks quickly and uses Alador's stone body to shield themselves.
Archimedes: Sorry Alador, I hope you don't feel that.
Harpy Eda: Hold on we're here!
Eda dived back to the ground. It was nothing but a small field with some dried trees, some of them were stumps and mountainside wall. Eda and Archimedes fazed through the wall. Black End lands but loses them as Battra enters in next. Black End turns to Battra and lets out a grunt pointing him to search a direction. Battra screeched back at him as he got up to Black End's face, roaring him off appearing not liking taking orders from him. Black End retaliates by grabbing Battra by his neck and lifts him up strangling him.
Black End.
Battra was gasping while his mouth was foaming until Black End dropped him. He pointed in the direction for Battra to search. Battra regaining breath growled at him and flew to search some more as Black End leaves. We then see Eda and Archimedes on the other side of the wall breathing heavily as Eda turned back to normal.
Eda: Phew, made it.
Archimedes: Yeah that was close one. But we got another.
The two continued going through the cavern. They soon came across a purple forcefield, appearing to be similar to what abomitons used. Eda took out a small pendant that shined and this caused the shield to open up for them to enter. They soon made it to their new hideout. The two were greeted by Raine, Lilith in her season 3 look with shorter hair an her natural color as well as going back to using contacts and appeared to have a cast on her arm. With her was Seraphina who now wore dark blue shorts and a crop top and her hair was an undercut side shave. Lilith ran to Eda hugging her.
Lilith: Oh thank goodness you made it. What took you so long?
Eda: ( turns back to normal) Yeah we had a slight delay. Choju you know.
Raine: How goes it out there?
Eda: As usual, the work area is heavily guarded and considering we were short today, we were only able to bring back one.
Lilith: Don't worry, Matti said my arm should be about healed. I'll be back in action tomorrow.
Raine: What about Keizer's next move?
Archimedes: We didn't get the chance.
Seraphina: Glad you made two it back safe. Is that Alador right there?
Archimedes: Yeah, poor guy must have lost to Keizer's sick game.
Seraphina: Hmm, I think Alice and his kids would want to see him.
The scene shifts over to Alice in her own room with a lab table with abomiton parts and equipment around. She was wearing now dark purple shirt, black pants and boots, with some goggles on her head and her hair cut short. She was building an abomination gun with a scope on it. She aims it at a target and fires.
Alice: Works alright. Think Raine will find this useful, don't you agree Stranix.
Stranix was lying in a corner, licking his paw and didn't appear to pay attention to her. The door opens revealing to be Eda.
Alice: Eda. How's the arm working for you?
Eda: I think it's getting a bit stiff again.
Alice: ( detaches arm) I'll fix it up for you.
Eda: Thanks. I came because I have something to show you.
The scene shifts to the medical room. There were multiple beds that had some rescued towns people resting from injuries inflicted during their times at slavery. One of the beds had Edric all bandaged up with Emira treating him and not too far from her was Viney and Mr. Hirata who was still missing his arm and now had an eyepatch, looking through some medical or spell books.
But also there was small number of people who have been turned to stone. Those being Principle Bump, Steve, Carl, Earl, Raine's team, Warden Wrath, Gus's dad and Willow's dads. Alador was the newest addition. Alice gazed at him with a sad look with Eda by her as well as Matti who's hair was now tied up to a bun.
Alice: Oh Alador.
Eda: I'm sorry we couldn't get to him in time.
Alice: Atleast he's here with the others and not out there.
Eda: Matti is there any updates to reverse this?
Matti: My team and I have been looking with what little info we aquirred but...
Eda: If it's not enough I can get more. I'll go to the library and sneak more books for you.
Mr. Hirata: Eda even with extensive research there has been no known cure for petrification.
Eda: Because no one tried when Belos ruled us over.
Mr. Hirata: That maybe true, but who knows how long something like this can be discovered.
Alice: I know. You're already doing enough treating the wounded and...I'm sorry Edric how did you end up like this again.
Edric: By doing something heroic.
Emira: Liar.
Eda: By the way where's King?
Seraphina: Right here.
Seraphina enters holding a tired King as well as having Hooty strapped to her back.
Seraphina: Found him laying on the floor all tired up.
Hooty: Yeah he's been really at it lately trying to unlock more of his powers.
King: Eda.
Eda: King you were pushing it again weren't you.
King: I'm good.
Eda: Come on, let's get you something to eat.
The scene cuts to Eda, King and Hooty at the dining hall as we see some rescued witches as well as Skara working in the kitchen. Skara served Eda a bowl of food as she brought it to King.
King: Eda I'm not hungry.
Eda: Come on, I know it doesn't taste that great but you need to keep your strength up.
King: I have to keep training. I'm probably the only one who can defeat Keizer now. I'm the son of Ginga. I was given his power for a reason!
Eda: King, I know you want to do good but...
King: I want to stop him because...because he took Luz and Christa away from me.
Eda stopped talking as she saw the tears forming on King's face.
Hooty: I know it's tough. And I just want to say I'm proud of what you are doing. Trying fight for Luz and...( sniffs) and...( cries hysterically) Wahahahaha! CC! I miss CC! I even made that painting in her memory!
Hooty pointed out a painting picture of Christa and him on the wall. Although it was a really bad drawing since it was just a blank canvas with a stick figure representing Christa and a squiggly like with Hooty's head on it and it said " CC and Me." Hooty continued crying while King tried to wipe his tears off as Eda hugged them both.
King: I miss them Eda.
Eda: Yeah, I do too.
Later that night.
Eda was in bed as she twisted around and she began to dream. She found herself in a room where a funeral was being held. She could see two women in black, faces obscured crying and two coffins up front.
Eda: What's wrong?
Woman 1: Our daughters.
Woman 2: Our beloved daughters are dead.
Eda's eyes widen as she looks in the coffins, finding Luz and Christa in their own.
Eda: No.
The two crying women looked up showing their faces to be Camilla and Cornelia.
Cornelia: I trusted you with my daughter and you let her die.
Eda: What no. I didn't...
Camilla: First you stole my daughter and then you let her die.
Eda: No I tried to save them!
Camila: It's because of you I will never see Luz graduate or get married.
Cornelia: If it weren't for you our daughters would still be alive.
Eda: No please I tried to save them I didn't...
Camila and Cornelia: It's all your fault! It's all your fault!
Eda: No. NO!
Eda wakes up from her nightmare. She covered her face trying not to cry. Not wanting to wake Lilith who was also in the room she got up and left, but not long after Lilith woke up as well. She got up and followed Eda who was now near the entrance of the base. She sat near it curled up to a ball crying.
Lilith: Edalyn?
Eda looked up at Lilith and wiped the tears from her eyes.
Eda: Lilith I... I'm sorry did I wake you?
Lilith: I couldn't sleep. I see you can't as well.
Eda: Yeah I can't.
Lilith sat down next to her.
Lilith: You're thinking about them again aren't you?
Eda: Is it that obvious? It's my fault Lily.
Lilith: No it's not.
Eda: Yes it is. I should have been there with them at the skull. To make sure they were safe.
Lilith: You were needed for the plan. You had an important role.
Eda: Yeah a plan that failed. The one time Luz needed me most I wasn't there, I promised Christa's mom that I'd take care of her daughter and even decided to adopt her yet look where that went. And their friends had to suffer the same fate as well. Alice I know is furious with me for not saving her neice.
Lilith: Eda you shouldn't blame yourself. If anything it's my fault. I was the one who went with Luz to the skull but we didn't know our way around. We split up to cover more ground but I wasn't there when she fought Belos and could have helped stop Keizer. But no I was away, fighting Selene and I nearly lost myself to the curse. You must really hate me for this.
Eda: No way. Lilith this isn't your fault. You took a nasty beating and you were helping Seraphina.
Lilith: Then don't blame yourself. Come here.
Lilith pulls Eda to a hug
Eda: But I feel like I should have sent Luz back home the first time we met. If I did she wouldn't have been killed.
Lilith: Had you done that we wouldn't be where we're at.
Eda: You want to be in a apocalyptic world?
Lilith: No I meant you and I would not have been sisters again. Finding Christa and helping her, you and Archimedes still wouldn't see each other or I wouldn't be with Seraphina. She helped bring us all together. And I'd rather be here now than dying living a lie and never making things right with any of you. We were fortunate to have her just as she was when she found you. She'd want you to keep on fighting.
Eda: ( lets go) She did uplift our lives. I miss her.
Lilith: I miss her too.
Eda: Hey so if we ever found a way to fix all this. What would you do next with your life?
Lilith: What would I do next? Well I guess for one I would continue further with my new work as a historian but also I'd probably go move with Seraphina.
Eda: Oh ho really? What you tired living with me?
Lilith: No it's just, I don't want to have to make you keep taking care of me and well I want to make up for lost time with her.
Eda: ( smirks) Like marry her?
Lilith: ( face turns red) What?! Edalyn!
Eda: Yeah you do. So two can, you know.
Lilith: Edalyn stop! You're the one who want's to do that with Archimedes.
Eda: What? Nah, eh maybe. Just so I can wake up every morning with him by my side. But you know what else I would do.
Lilith: What?
Eda: I...no. It's kind of dumb.
Lilith: Come on you can tell me.
Eda: Well, I don't know maybe share more my knowledge on wild magic somehow.
Lilith: Share it how like in a school? You of all people?
Eda: Maybe. I want to bring it back to the open after years of it being forbidden.
Lilith: But do you really think if we stopped all this, things would go back to the way they were?
Eda: No, things won't never be the same as they were. Not anymore. For better or for worse.
The next day.
Alice: There, that should make for more comfortable movement.
Alice gave back the arm to Eda and attached it.
Eda: Thanks Alice. I always thought you were just a business woman.
Alice: When you run a high tech company you need to know these things. My brother was the best but Amity is still learning.
Eda: ( frowns) I mean I'm sure she would have been great. Alice I know you probably blame me for not saving your niece. I know how much she meant to you and I'm...
Alice: Eda please, I hold nothing against you and Amity is not dead.
Eda: What?
Alice: I don't believe she's dead.
Eda: How do you know that?
Alice: I don't know but I know Amity better. She's a Blight and our family has always been strong, that and my heart tells me she's still out there.
Eda: Alice, I was there when Keizer...
Alice: I know but you said you didn't find their bodies.
Eda: Even so, why haven't we found them?
Alice: I don't know but all I'm saying is I know her better than that. Luz and Christa are strong like her. Do you really think they would fall like that?
Eda didn't respond as she got up stretching her arm.
Eda: Thanks again for the arm.
With that she leaves Alice's lab. Alice summoned her scroll as she looked through some pictures. Some of her and Alador as they grew up, her time with Darius, and some with Amity like one when she held her as a baby, another at one of her birthday parties and a more recent one when she moved in with her. Alice rubbed her eyes wiping small tears she had.
Alice: If you really are okay, just know I'm still here.
Eda: Archy let's go!
Archimedes: Hold on, I need to put on my leg.
The two met up with Lilith with Hooty strapped to her back and Seraphina.
Raine: So you're sure you're ready to go Lilith?
Lilith: All healed up now.
Hooty: And I'll be there to guard Lulu and Sera with my life! Hoot!
Raine: So you know what to do?
Seraphina: Lilith and I will go gather more food and supplies.
Eda: And we'll go to the library and gather more information for our research team.
King: Wait! I want to come on this one.
Raine: King I don't know.
King: Please, I want to see what Keizer is doing and I think fighting some real opponents will help me improve.
Archimedes: The whole point of this mission is not get caught. We're only going to gather more resources.
King: Then it shouldn't be so much trouble to bring me then. What if you need help?
Eda: ( sighs) Alright you can come, but stay by me and you do what I say.
King: Okay.
Eda: Raine Storm?
Raine: Well okay. But once you do return to base and we'll discuss further rescue plans.
With that the group leave the base.
Raine: Be careful out there.
Matti: Raine! The kindergarteners are going crazy again!
Raine: Oh Titan! Keep them away from the weapons storage room!
Later.
We see Eda, Archimedes and King exiting out the library with some books bagged up.
King: There wasn't much in there this time that seemed useful.
Archimedes: Even the smallest information can be great use.
Eda: Of course the smart ones can. Whoa get back!
Eda forces everyone back inside and peak out the window as they see Monsieur Bolst and Thomas landing with Melba looking sick.
Thomas: Okay why are we stopping?
Monsieur Bolst: Hold on, Melba not feeling well.
Melba was making a loud coughing like sound like he was trying to throw something up.
Monsieur Bolst: I told you not to eat that sick ratworm.
Thomas: Come on we're going to be late to hear what Keizer the Great and Powerful has to hear.
Monsieur Bolst: Why do you call him like that.
Thomas: He has ears all over. We're lucky to be here or have our magic since we pledged our loyalty by finding more witches to add to his slave labor and trying to find Eda's dog. We scratch his back, he scratches ours.
Melba coughs out the bones of his last meal.
Monsieur Bolst: There you go. Come on, let's go before we're late.
The two get back on Melba and fly off.
King: Those sell outs! They've been working for Keizer while everyone suffers?
Archimedes: I never really liked Thomas but this is an all time low for him.
Eda: Sure is. Come on let's follow.
Archimedes: Whoa what? Eda we're supposed to head back to base.
Eda: They said Keizer was planning something else. Something big. We have to find out what. I think Raine would want to know this.
Archimedes: But shouldn't we regroup with Lilith and Seraphina.
Eda: They're busy with their hunt. If we wait it could be too late to know what this is.
King: She's right. Let's find out what this is.
King gets on Eda's shoulder as she gets on her staff.
Eda: You coming Archy?
Archimedes: ( sighs) I'm always the one who has to get you out of trouble.
Eda: That was me dummy.
They fly up and follow Bolst and Thomas back to Keizer.
Meanwhile
Keizer was on his throne with the other titans standing closer to hear what he had to say.
Keizer: My loyal subjects. Soon the time will come for my next phase of my reign. But this time you will all play a part in it. We will soon be rid of the one thing that stands in my way.
Keizer picks up in his hand a large crystal ball and inside was Christa frozen in the center.
Keizer: A problem that you caused Euphemia.
