Andras had been following the three sisters for several hours and found a few cracks he could and did exploit, which is why they were currently arguing. He was also certain he'd identified their allies, after overhearing a neighbor teasingly comment about possessing a hurricane. Who else but an elemental witch would make such a claim? So he left the sisters to argue while he sought out the allies and began to explore potential avenues of rage in them.
Perhaps he should have stayed with the sisters, it might have saved him considerable pain.
Prue had come over to visit her sisters on this beautiful November day to plan a party for Cordelia's twentieth birthday, which was in two weeks, not long after Thanksgiving and had gotten into an argument with both Piper and Phoebe and although for the life of her she didn't know why, she also currently didn't care. All she could feel was rage.
"I should never have trusted you with my car, Phoebe. Once again you've proven how irresponsible you are."
"I filled the tank, Prue! I can show you the receipt from the debit card. Obviously you have a leak, which is not my fault! You're so determined to believe the fault is mine that you can't be bothered to even consider alternatives!"
"I'm done with arguing with you." Prue yelled. "There's nothing wrong with my car, this is your fault!"
"Prue, stop and think about what you're saying." Piper tried to be the peacemaker, as usual and for the umpteenth time felt frustrated when her efforts were ineffective.
"Keep your nose out of this, Piper, it's none of your damn business!" Prue snarled. "God, why do you always have to stick your nose in other people's business?"
"We don't need a peacemaker." Phoebe insisted. "This is Prue's problem, she thinks she's so perfect and can't possibly do anything wrong, that it extends to her car."
"I don't think I'm perfect, Phoebe, but I am responsible, which is something you refuse to be." Prue glared at her.
"Excuse me, but I am responsible." Phoebe insisted. "I wasn't off partying when I borrowed your car, I was shopping for Cordelia's party. Which you asked me to do!"
"Because, unlike you, I have an actual job!"
"Oh this again. Have we not already beat that subject to death? How am I am supposed to work and manage the house, attend classes and fight demons? In point of fact, I do more than you do! You have a job and you fight demons, I'm more responsible than you!"
"Oh, you did not just say that to me!" Enraged beyond rational thought by Andras' manipulation of her emotions, Prue acted without thinking and reached with her power and grabbed a vase of flowers and flung it at Phoebe, who astonished them all by levitating into the air and hovering there as the vase flew toward a window and Piper flashed her hands forward and froze it in place.
"Prue!" She exclaimed. "Do you have any idea how expensive those windows are to replace?! They're antique stained glass, for God's sake. Stop being such a bitch to Phoebe!"
"Oh, you did not just call me a bitch!" Prue glared at her sister.
"I call it like I see it, Prue, you're being a bitch."
"And you're being a nosy busybody. I told you to keep your nose out of this!" She grabbed another vase with her powers and threw it at Piper, who tried to freeze them as well. Only to have to duck to the side as it didn't freeze and sailed passed her and shattered, followed by the first one as it shattered the window as the freeze stopped working on it as well. The two sisters hesitated and stared at the mess they'd made. Prue raised her hand and stared at it, realizing she'd tried to hurt both of her sisters.
Neither of them noticed Phoebe had dropped down from her levitating and stalked out of the Manor and away from them both. She grabbed Piper's car and drove to see Cole, unaware of the angry tears streaking her face.
"What just happened?" Prue asked, feeling really confused and not understanding why.
"You threw a vase at me and before that at Phoebe. And my freeze has stopped working." Piper was equally confused. "I can't defend myself."
Prue flinched as she realized Piper meant she couldn't defend herself against her own sister, High Priestess and Coven Head. The sister part especially was terrifying to know because never before had Prue raised her hand, literally and figuratively, to her sisters. Why had she done it now?
Phoebe tentatively knocked on Cole's door, seeking comfort from the guy she was falling in love with from the nightmare she'd walked away from.
"Phoebe?" Cole questioned as he opened the door to her knock. Something in him twisted at the sight of her beautiful, tear streaked face. He didn't understand it, but he knew he didn't like seeing her in pain. "What's wrong?"
"My sisters and I had a fight." She explained. "And I don't want to bother you, but all I could think of, was that I wanted you to hold me."
"Me?" Cole was flooded by that statement. She trusted him to hold her when she was in pain and he was likely the cause of her pain, because this was probably because of Andras' work. And he'd sent Andras after her.
Some instinct Cole had never felt before had him opening his arms and holding her as she burrowed against him.
At the Manor the triquetra sign on the Book of Shadows separated as next door to the Charmed Ones Andras succeeded in driving a man to hit a woman.
And unleased a hurricane.

A/N Yes, I'm aware that in canon Phoebe started levitating sooner then this episode. But that was in the middle of a fight with a demon, which hasn't happened in this story. So no reason for her to have advanced into the ability yet. Now there is.
