"I'm so bad at this!" Ladybug groaned. Ladybug and Cat had agreed to a photo shoot in the park featuring super hero poses. Ladybug was against anything for personal gain, but in this case, the money would be used for the new wing of the Children's Hospital.
"Your overthinking it," Cat told her. "Just let it flow naturally and be yourself." Ladybug knew he was right, but still felt a bit salty. "Easy for you to say," she grumbled, looking away. "You always look good."
"What would you be doing right now if you weren't doing this?" Cat asked. "Um…." Ladybug blushed. "Sewing or reading the latest Adrien magazine?" Cat raised an eyebrow, grinned but didn't comment. "Okay, I have a idea. Just hold on two minutes."
Cat took out his baton, and begin to type, but didn't let Ladybug see the text. "Cat, who are you texting?" "You'll find out in a bit," he assured her. "Now, let's go patrol." "Now? What about the shoot?" "Trust me." "Okay."
The pair scampered to the rooftops, and as Ladybug ran alongside her partner with the wind blowing her hair, she begin to feel better. They were passing another park when Ladybug skidded to a stop. "Cat, do you hear that? Someone's in trouble, come on!"
Ladybug swung down into the park, a determined look on her face. She had heard a pitiful meowing sound, and she walked underneath the trees, listening. Cat bumped into her as she stopped suddenly. "There you hear it?" The sound was coming from right above them. The two made eye contact, and Ladybug swung lightly into the tree.
"Oh." A small black cat, wet and shivering clung to the edge of the branch. It caught sight of Ladybug and slowly begin crawling towards her. "Gotcha!" Ladybug said, scooping up the shivering cat in her arms, and going back to Cat. "Poor thing," Cat said, when Ladybug handed him the wet ball of fluff.
"Don't worry, he seems fine. We'll take him to the bakery. Lucky Charm!" A soft blanket drifted down and Ladybug wrapped the blanket around the cat. "Your safe now." she kissed its head. "Let's go."
Of course her parents were sympathetic and Cat and Ladybug thanked them. "I'll have Marinette make some posters," Ladybug told them, before heading back outside.
"That's one small victory for today," Ladybug told Cat, striking her iconic pose. "Thanks for suggesting an impromptu patrol. Pound it?" A wide smile crossed Cat's face. "What?" "I had the camera crew follow us secretly. They got all the shots they needed as we helped the kitten."
Ladybug lowered her eyes. "But I was just doing my job." "Yes, a job you love and comes naturally. Now, how about that pound it?"
"I have a better idea," Ladybug told him, surprising him with a hug. Camera crew or not, Ladybug loved how her partner helped her. They really were the perfect pair, but either needed a photo to prove that to each other.
