A/N Autumn already has a last name set by an old request so I'm holding to that.
It was 2 days before the last day of school, Autumn, Sawyer, and all the kids were cleaning their desks and lockers so they could be ready for the last of school tomorrow. After school, Autumn and Sawyer got off the bus and Autumn was going over to Sawyer's house to play while Autumn's parents were celebrating their anniversary and not picking her up until dinnertime was over. Autumn and Sawyer played Gold First cards game, watched TV, did coloring books, read the Hans Christian Andersen book called Thumbelina, and played with Sawyer's pet hutch rabbit that Sawyer got for her birthday. Sawyer named her Brownie because the rabbit looked like a chocolate brownie. Sawyer told Autumn that she can't have a pet cat and dog because her dad is allergic of both of them, but someday when she's a woman, she can have a pet dog and cat, and also, she plays her cousins' pet cat and dog when she visits. Autumn told her that she can't have a pet dog cause her mother is allergic, but someday when she's a woman she'll get one, and also tells her that she will get a kitten for her birthday. Sawyer told Autumn that her brother use to have a pet turtle name Shelvin but he died of old age when Sawyer was five years old. It was dinner time, Autumn and Sawyer had pizza that Sawyer's dad ordered when he came home from work. After dinner, Autumn's parents came to pick up Autumn, and Autumn and Sawyer said goodbye and Autumn went home.
The next day, it was the last day of school, Autumn, Sawyer, and the kids had a picnic outside at lunchtime, then they had recess. After recess, they had a party in the classroom, where they played games, watched movies, and had apple juice and cupcakes. After school ended, everyone said goodbye to their teacher, and they all went home to enjoy their summer vacation. Autumn and Sawyer got off the bus, Sawyer was visiting Autumn's house today. Autumn and Sawyer played with puzzles, read books most of them were Thomas the Tank Engine books, and played with Thomas toys. Autumn and Sawyer decided to go see Thomas and they closed their eyes and touched Autumn's Thomas toy. When they arrived at Sodor, they found Thomas and went to meet him.
Autumn and Sawyer said, "Hi Thomas."
Thomas said, "Hi Autumn. Hello Sawyer."
Autumn and Sawyer told Thomas that they finished their last day of school and got ready for summer vacation.
Thomas said, "That's good. The children are finishing their school too, I'm taking them on a picnic at Fenland Fields."
Sawyer replied, "Sounds fun."
Autumn added, "Can we come too?"
Thomas told them, "Of course, hop aboard."
Autumn and Sawyer hopped aboard, and the children arrived. Stephen and Briget Hatt said hello and sat with Autumn and Sawyer and the train chuffed away. When Thomas arrived at Fenland Fields, the children got off and had a picnic. After Autumn and Sawyer finished their picnic, then they decided to go exploring. While they were exploring, they found Henry crying.
Autumn asked, "What's wrong, Henry?:
Sawyer added, "You look sad."
Henry sniffled, "I am. I had a sad and bad dream that my forest (named Henry's Forest) was on fire, and no one planted new trees and the animals never came to stay, and no people visited, and then I woke up sobbing."
Henry started to cry more, but Autumn and Sawyer comforted him.
Sawyer said, "It's okay, Henry."
Autumn added "Let it all out."
Autumn said, "Let my friend Sawyer wipe your eyeballs and I can dry your cheeks."
Henry sobbed more, while the girls used their hankies to wipe his tears.
After Henry calmed down, the girls each gave him a hug, said goodbye and went back with Thomas.
After it was late, the children went home while Autumn and Sawyer stayed behind with Thomas.
Autumn said, "Thanks for inviting us, Thomas."
Sawyer added, "That was fun."
Thomas said, "It sure was, glad you both had fun".
Then Thomas started to yawn.
Autumn said, " You're getting tired."
Sawyer added. "I think you better go home, Thomas."
Thomas replied, "I think so. "
Autumn said, "Bye Thomas."
Sawyer said, "Good night."
Thomas answered, "Good night girls." After saying goodbye, Autumn and Sawyer went home. Autumn and Sawyer still had a secret smile.
Five days later, it was Memorial Day. Autumn and Sawyer went to the parade with their parents. After the parade was over, they went to a sandwich place to have lunch. After lunch, they went to the park, and Autumn and Sawyer played at the playground. After that, they decided to go for a walk and headed to the museum. After the museum closed, they decided to go to a pizza restaurant to have dinner. After dinner was over, Autumn and Sawyer said goodbye and Sawyer and her parents went home. At home, Autumn went to her father's study room to go on the computer and play games after she asked if she could go on, and her father said yes. Before Autumn played card games on the computer from a website, she went on google and typed, Adopted Baby. There were many pictures of babies that they wanted someone to adopt, Autumn looked carefully and found the perfect picture of the baby. The baby girl's name was Aika who came all the way from Korea. She was born last year on November 30th, and she was 6 months old. Autumn didn't see that her parents watched her doing what she was doing and smiled a little as they entered the room.
Autumn said, "Oh hi.".
Her mother said, "Hey sweetie.".
Her father said, "Autumn, your mother and I wanted to talk to you."
Autumn asked, "What is it?"
Her mom replied, " We came in here to tell you the truth and the time has come."
Autumn asked, " What truth?"
Her father answered, "Autumn, the day when you were born. You are a twin, and you had a twin sister, her name was Summer."
Autumn was surprised to hear that she had a twin sister. Autumn said in reply, "I had a twin sister named Summer? Where is she?"
Her mom said, "She's not around anymore, she died unborn when she came out of my tummy first and she wasn't breathing, and when you came out of my tummy you were still alive."
Autumn was still surprised that she had a twin sister after she thought she was the only sibling.
Her mom told her, "Autumn, we have a surprise for you."
Autumn asked, "What is it?"
Her dad answered, "Sweetheart, your mother andI decided to have another child, but we are going to adopt a baby, and you will be a big sister."
Autumn was surprised and looked happy. She said "Really? Adopting a baby?"
Her mom said "Yes."
Her dad said, "That picture of the baby you found is perfect. We are going to adopt Aika."
Autumn was excited, now she won't be an only sibling anymore. Autumn answered, "Before we adopt the baby, can we give her a middle name? If that's allowed. I already pick the baby's middle name, and her name is Aika Thomaslina Dalten."
Her mom said, "I think that's a perfect name."
Her dad said, "I agree. I'm sure they will allow it."
Autumn added, "I can't wait. This study room can be the baby's room."
Her mom said, "I agree."
Her dad added, "Me too. I won't be disappointed. I can use this computer downstairs in the backroom."
Autumn asked, "Can I help get ready for the new baby?"
Her dad answered, "Of course you can."
Her mom said, "We'll be a team and get ready for the new member of our family."
Autumn jumped for joy, excited and hugged her parents. Autumn's parents went on and emailed to adopt Baby Aika. After the email was done, they had to wait if they got an email back. It was bedtime, so Autumn went to do her bedtime routine.
The next day, Autumn was having pancakes for breakfast. While Autumn's mother finished cooking the last pancake, Autumn's father came in rush, excited, and told his wife and daughter they got an email and said Baby Aika was now the new member of the family and said they could go all the way to Korea to pick her up. Autumn was very excited and so was her mother. Autumn asked her parents if Sawyer can help us paint the study room and get new baby toys and clothes, and Autumn's parents said yes. After breakfast, Autumn came over to Sawyer's house. Autumn told Sawyer the good news that she was going to be a big sister and her family was going to adopt the baby Aika. Sawyer was happy for her friend and also told her that she and her parents got a letter from her big brother and it said he's coming to spend the summer with them. Autumn asked Sawyer if she can help her to get ready for the baby, Sawyer asked her parents, and her parents said yes. Sawyer's mom would help get baby clothes, and Sawyer's dad would help Autumn's dad to take the computer and the books downstairs in the backroom, they decided. A week later, Autumn and Sawyer went to the store with their mothers to buy baby girl clothes, baby toys, baby lamp, music box, and even a Thomas the Tank Engine nightlight just in case the baby got scared of the dark. Sawyer's father helped Autumn's father to take everything out of the study room. Sawyer's father brought dark and light pink buckets of paint that he bought yesterday. After hours passed, Autumn and Sawyer helped their fathers to paint the room pink. The next day, Autumn's father put the baby wallpaper on the wall. The day after, Autumn and Sawyer helped put baby things in the room while Autumn's dad and Sawyer's dad put the baby crib, and Sawyer's mom and Autumn's mom put baby clothes in the drawers and put the baby lamp on top of the shelf and the music box too. Autumn put her sister's Thomas the Tank Engine nightlight right on the other side of the crib. The baby room looked splendid and they did good work and made a good team.
A few weeks had passed, Autumn's parents were getting ready to go to Korea to adopt Baby Aika, and Autumn was going to stay over at Sawyer's house until her parents got back. Sawyer's dad brought a friend who grew up in school with him. His name was Ojo Barrett. He spoke both English and Korean, and he was going with them because some people from Korea don't speak English. After Autumn said goodbye to her parents. Then they set off with Mr. Barrett to go to Korea to get the baby. The next day, Autumn and Sawyer played games, watched TV, played with Sawyer's hutch rabbit Brownie, and went to see Thomas in their imaginations and then came home. Seven days passed and Autumn and Sawyer made baby gifts. Sawyer made a baby picture frame and Autumn made a baby maraca. The next day, Autumn and Sawyer woke up and had breakfast, after breakfast they watched TV and did puzzles. After that it was lunchtime and the girls were eating ham and cheese sandwiches until Sawyer's dad got a phone call. After the phone call ended, Sawyer's dad had an announcement.
Sawyer's dad announced, "Autumn, your parents came home with the new baby."
Autumn was so excited as they got their things and went back to Autumn's house. Autumn arrived home and saw Mr. Barrett outside. Autumn rushed inside and found her parents in the living room. Autumn gave her parents a hug.
Autumn's mom said, "Autumn, I'd like you to meet your baby sister, Aika."
Autumn's dad added, "Aika Thomaslina Dalten."
Autumn came close and saw the cute baby. Baby Aika was sound asleep with a pink unicorns blanket and Autumn gently touched the baby's forehead.
Autumn whispered, " Hello Aika. I'm Autumn, your big sister."
Autumn's parents could see Autumn started to like Aika. Sawyer and her parents came and saw the baby.
Sawyer whispered, "She's so cute."
Autumn asked if she could hold the baby, Autumn's parents gave the baby and Autumn held her gently, and she gave her sister a kiss. Autumn's father took a picture of Autumn and her baby sister. It was late, 9:15 pm, after dinnertime was over.
Autumn's parents put Baby Aika to sleep and Autumn gave her sister a good night kiss and put the Thomas nightlight on and left the baby's room. Autumn was getting ready for bed. She brushed her teeth, took a shower, read a bedtime story, said a prayer, and went to sleep with her Thomas plush. Autumn had her bedroom door closed, so she wouldn't hear Baby Aika crying in the middle of the night.
A/N Remember no Autumn requests until I say, other than a shape for the beginning of summer story. Though these girls are autistic, presenting with the old Asperger's (like if they were 5 or more years older than they are, they might have been diagnosed with it), TTTE helped them distinguish feelings, as I think it did for me. The thing with her having a dead twin's just part of the request, but, like her, I have a dead sibling, except mine was younger. My family tried to get a Fresh Air girl, though Autumn's adopted sibling's just part of the request.
