Across the world in New York, Guile was at his desk working on some things his commanding officer had asked him to do. He was going through files of the illegal activities of Shadowlaw. With Bison gone, most of the criminal organization had fallen, but there were still powerful individuals out in the world who didn't see Shadowlaw as gone. Guile was on a mission to destroy what was left of it, but he needed inside information of where the crime was still happening. The only person he could think of to help him was Cammy. He called her. The phone rang and she answered.

"Cammy. Hey, it's Guile," he said in his deep masculine voice.

"I could tell that voice from a million miles away. How are you?" she replied.

"Same as always. I'm on orders to find and destroy what's left of Shadowlaw," he said. Cammy sighed.

"Straight to the point, eh? And you think I can help you? I've told you before, I don't remember everything that happened while under Bison's psycho power." She tried many times to remember but a lot of memories were painful from innocent lives she took.

"Cammy, you are the only person on our side who was close to Bison for four years! That makes you a valuable asset in this investigation. You are the only one who can help terminate the rest of his work," Guile pressured her, but she knew he was right.

"Fine. I'll help you, but take note, some things I just cannot remember no matter how hard I try," she reminded him.

"Noted. The first thing I want you do it get a physical. We'll need to see if Bison did anything to your body or your brain," Guile said. After conversing more and the next steps they would take, they ended their call. Guile continued to go through more paperwork and eventually came to an old file labeled Ashura. Hmm, Ashura, that name sounds familiar. He searched in his work computer for that name. He found documents related to the Ashura Crime Syndicate dating back over 10 years. He kept searching until he came to profiles of men associated with it. He stopped on a particular man. This man? This looks like…no, it can't be. I've got to reach out to Ken Masters!

Back in India:

Chun Li, Ryu, and Dhalsim all stood out front of the forbidden temple. It was time for their challenge to begin. Chun Li's heart raced. She wondered what she'd find inside. Ryu held her hand reassuringly. It gave her strength knowing Ryu would be in the temple with her. "Are the two of you ready to accept the challenge before you?" Dhalsim asked.

"Yes, we're ready," they said in unison. They began to walk into the temple. Chun Li held on to Ryu's hand tighter the farther they went in. The air got heavier, and a musty smell crept into their noses. They got to a large room and noticed mist beginning to form.

"Ryu, what's going on here?" Chun Li asked. Suddenly, she realized she wasn't holding Ryu's hand anymore. "Ryu? Ryu?" Chun Li cried out, but he was no where to be found. She started breathing heavily and started to panic. She ran all around the room and couldn't find a way out. Remember your training! Ryu's voice echoed in Chun Li's head. I need to calm down, focus, and redirect my energy. She sat on the floor, closed her eyes, and re-grounded herself. She then heard a cry coming from the corner. Quickly, Chun Li stood up and look for the crying person. She saw a young boy, about 9 years old, in the corner crying. She went up to him and asked, "Are you lost?" The child didn't answer back. How did this child get in here? Disembodied voices came from all around her, the room became noisy, and the mist thickened. Chun Li tried to make sense of her situation. Shadows began to appear around the room, children's voices were heard, and she could tell they sounded scared of something.

In another room, Ryu called out for Chun Li, but he didn't hear anything back. I hope she's doing ok. He knew his challenge had started. Ryu paced the room and began to hear familiar voices. He heard Master Gouken, "Ryu! What do you see beyond your fist?"

"Master!" Ryu yelled out. In a flash, Ryu was in a large grassy field, buildings around were on fire, parts of the ground uprooted, and it looked like a scene of total chaos. He sensed something evil nearby. "Akuma!" He cried out. He ran toward the direction of the ominous presence. Thunder and lightning reigned the skies. Unexpectedly, Ryu came upon the bodies of Chun Li, Ken, Sakura, and Gouken. They were lifeless on the ground. Immediately he began getting angry, his body glowed, and his eyes turned red.

"There he is," Akuma said as he appeared standing behind Ryu. "Get angry, Ryu! Let your hatred for me consume you!" He laughed evilly. Ryu turned around and threw a powerful sphere of energy toward Akuma. "Is that all you've got? You know it will take more than that to defeat me!" The two men began to fight to the death.

On the other side of the temple, Chun Li battled the shadows trying to attack her. They finally took form, one emerged as Vega. Oh shit! It's that monster. I kicked his ass once, and I can do it again! She ran towards him with a spinning star kick, flipped up and threw punches all the while avoiding his sharp claws. As Vega jumped back, he disappeared into the mists. Where did he go? Chun Li looked around and saw children sitting near the walls of the room. She ran to them, "I'm going to get you all out of here, ok?" Again, a shadow appeared and morphed into the older woman she saw in her dream. Chun Li almost attacked her but stopped in her tracks. She walked cautiously to the woman and as she got closer, she changed into M. Bison. "No! It can't be. You're dead, you bastard!" Bison let out an evil laugh.

"Come, Chun Li! I'll put you under my psycho power again!" Bison roared.

"No!" Chun Li said firmly. She lowered her fists. "This is the challenge, I see now. I haven't fully let go of my past. I'm constantly thinking for things to go wrong. I wasn't confident in my abilities, but I am now. You hold no power over me!" The mist cleared out of the room, everything was gone, silent. Then, footsteps were heard walking out into a corridor. Chun Li followed the sound. From a distance, she could see a tall slender man, he wore a large hat with a matching purple robe. He started running away, Chun Li followed and ran as fast as she could down the long hallway until finally, she noticed bright sunlight in her eyes. She was out of the temple.

Back in the temple, Ryu remained. Battered, he knew he couldn't fight Akuma on fair grounds unless he fully gave into the dark hadou. He let himself go. He felt his power levels rising in his body. "Yes!" Akuma said in a wicked tone. "Let that raw power course through your veins!" Ryu attacked, sending Akuma flying back, landing into a burning house that caved in. Slowly, Ryu walked toward the rubble. "You! You are the reason I can't relax! You are the reason I can't fully give myself to my wife! The reason I can't live a normal life!" Ryu sent a glowing sphere into the rubble, but it bounced right back and hit him in the chest knocking him back 50 feet. Standing over him was Akuma, he proceeded to relentlessly attack Ryu. It made him angrier. From their fighting, they managed to send one other flying away. Ryu stopped, he was breathing hard and fast. I'm not getting anywhere in this battle. No matter how hard I attack, Akuma attacks with ten times as much power. Nothing I do gains me the advantage. Nothing! Wait…that's it! Ryu remembered his training with Dhalsim. The power of nothingness. I must master the power of nothingness, it all makes sense! Ryu looked up and saw he was in the temple room, the mist cleared. He walked out of the temple.

Dhalsim looked at the forbidden temple entrance and saw Ryu come out. Chun Li had just come out as well and was sitting by Dhalsim. "You two have done it. Your first major challenge," the yoga master said. "I hope you two learned something valuable in there today, for you will need it in the future." Ryu ran to Chun Li. He could see she was beaten from her challenge, and she saw the same in him.

"We did it!" Chun Li said exhausted. She embraced Ryu.

"I knew you could beat what was in there!" he replied.

"You two can head back now. Get yourselves cleaned up and come to my hut, I had my wife prepare a dinner," Dhalsim requested.

In New York…

A doctor was going over Cammy's physical. She looked at her blood tests and scans of her body. As she examined her x-rays, she noticed peculiar marks on her pelvic bone. Hmm, I better get a second opinion on this. The doctor sent the x-rays to a colleague of hers to be further analyzed.
